You Can't Run From Your Problems

by Wolke Eisensturm
A young unicorn colt struggles through life alone, running from all his problems. Literally running. And this time, he has gotten himself in quite the predicament, for this little friendly town is throwing all sorts of curve-balls at him. Hehehe.

Just a little thing I wrote in my free-time and never thought I should publish.

Rated Mature for mild language at rare points and adult situations in later chapters. Also, there will be a large amount of Drama.

Vanhoover is a relatively large city; multiple story buildings, a harbor filled with ships and boats, a train station overflowing with passing-goers on vacation, even a few cloud condos for those rich pegasus models. The jobs are manageable, the ponies are decent, the government is just, and the air is clean. If you travel a little ways out towards the Smokey Mountains, just a ways past the Vanhoover train station, you can occasionally spot a few houses on the outskirts of the Vanhoover city limits. I used to call the furthest out my home. Now, that privilege belongs to the orphanage.

I've been alone for a long time. Sure, I have a few friends in the city, well, acquaintances really. They know my name and say hi when I go out with the group or need to stop and buy something for my bed. I can't use magic too well, which is embarrassing seeing as how I have a horn jutting from my forehead, but the chores I do don't really need magic. I'm just another hard-working pony trying to live, and the orphanage tried their best. So I had to become my own role model, I suppose

But the real kicker is that I'm only thirteen.

And the orphanage didn't like that. "I'm too old to be here," they said.

And I don't like them one bit. So I took their "advice" and left.

So here I am. This is my story.
