Welcome everypony to the Sequel of "A Sunlight Story"!

I know that my last story had some 'issues' but I'll fix all of that in this story. This story has a plot and actual storyline to follow. So if you're ever confused re-read the description.

Chapter 1 - Golden Arrow (Edited By: Knight N Gale)

In the peaceful land of Equestria, there lived many animals and cultures that share diversity and equality amongst one another, and in this very land resides some of the most powerful and gifted of all the known lands that touch the horizon. We now go to Ponyville, home to two Alicorn Princesses, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer. The two Alicorns share a castle known as the Castle of Friendship. Currently the two are a couple sharing and expressing their love for one another in any way they can. In addition to this they also have guards who are sworn to protect and serve them. One of their personal guards, Flash Sentry, stays by their side day in and day out with his sword held high waiting for anypony to attack.

Being this personal guard grants him the honor of Captain of their entire command at the castle. In the past Flash Sentry developed feelings for Twilight Sparkle and tried numerous times to win her heart but it was Sunset Shimmer who was the most successful. Upon knowing this he stopped pursuing Twilight and met a young mare who loved him.

However there was another guard that both Sunset and Twilight had that was always hidden in the shadows never revealing who he really is. The unknown guard communicates with the Alicorns through telepathy, giving them any information they wanted or eliminating any pony they targeted. So far the guard hasn’t killed anypony but only stunned or paralyzed them in order for the castle guards to capture the pony. Using only darts to take down his targets Twilight gave him the name Piercing Dart, since they didn’t know his name at all.

Inside the castle the two Alicorns were in the throne room talking to each talking about current royal duties that needed to be completed.

“So what’s next Sunset?” Twilight asked levitating a clipboard with her magic.

“Well we have the potential suitors…You still haven’t told anyone that we’re dating?” Sunset threw a small fit with this news.

Twilight placed a hoof on her shoulder, “Don’t worry we’ll just ward them off like it’s nothing or like Flash Sentry when we want our privacy.” Sunset raised an eyebrow.

“So we use a blowtorch?” Twilight hit her on the head for that one.

“Ow…”

“No, we don’t torch them alive, we just kindly say we decline your offer.” Sunset knew that Twilight was only being kind out of respect and that’s one of the things that just makes her adorable to Sunset.

Still staying cool and collective, Sunset became denser as the conversation took its toll.

“So we just be kind to the ponies that want to marry you for your power and wealth. I mean their driven edge is that royalty can only marry rich and other royals.” Sunset leaned back against the throne seat which made her more calm and comfortable.

“Well aren’t you royalty?” Twilight countered.

Twilight was right about one thing though, Sunset Shimmer is royalty seeing as she was raised in royalty under the care of Princess Celestia, the most powerful of all the beings of Equestria and the ruler at that.

“Touché Twilight Sparkle.” Sunset closed her eyes and took a small nap a few minutes later.

Twilight stared down at the mare of her dreams for a moment. She was a beautiful sight to behold. A yellowish-gold and red mane and tail like the sun and the orange glow of a shimmering sunset. The mare before her only snorted a small bit and was all but mute when she slept but Twilight didn’t mind it at all.

Flash Sentry walked into the throne room with the potential suitors walking in behind him.

“Right this way, come on, come on now!” Flash ordered the suitors as they piled in one by one.

There was 12 in total that came today. Twilight woke up Sunset from her peaceful slumber so she can stay punctual while they were here.

Sunset then groaned. “You sure we can’t use the blowtorch on them just at least like, I don’t know. HALF OF THEM!”

Twilight from this point until the end of the suitors became increasingly more assertive.

“No! You will not use any type of instrument of torture on these ponies, now be on your best behavior and maybe I’ll give you a reward when this is over. Celestia you can act like a kid sometimes.” Twilight could go on and on but she stopped there.

“Says the mare that screams over a small book that’s in distress.” Sunset countered under her breath.

“What was that?” Twilight asked looking back at Sunset.

“Nothing mistress…” Sunset quickly said.

Twilight made a small glance at Sunset who showed a cheeky smile to outshine her nervousness. Twilight then faced the suitors who were murmuring to themselves. Some were arguing over who will win who. Twilight then cleared her throat silencing any noise within the throne room.

She spoke loud and clear to where everyone can hear. “Thank you all for coming. Me and Princess Sunset Shimmer will now hear your cases, and if any of us feel that you’re a threat to me or Sunset you will be dealing with Piercing Dart.”

From the shadows came a dart that came right between the suitors to show that not only was Twilight serious, but the guard that was hidden in the shadows of the castle ceiling was serious too.

When the suitors saw the dart come from the ceiling without any trace of a source from sight 10 of them ran out of the castle in absolute horror fearing for their lives.

The remaining 2 suitors didn’t seem to fear the dart that came in front of them in, fact one of them grabbed the dart and examined it.

The suitor who grabbed it tossed it back to Twilight who caught it with her magic.

He then spoke fluently but there was no trace of being fancy at all in his voice.

“Good weapon of choice with the paralysis ladies. Your guard must know his weapons by heart.

Twilight and Sunset nodded in unison.

“Now then, I can stand here and ‘convince’ you girls to marry me but I’m not here to do that.”

Twilight looked at him questioningly. “Then what are you here for?”

“I would like to join your Special Forces along with Piercing Dart.”

Twilight and Sunset exchanged looks then turned back to the suitor.

“Might we have for your name sir?”

He then bow respectfully, “Why of course, my name is Golden Arrow.”

Sunset stepped down from her throne and walked up to the stallion. “Were you ever in any way, shape, or form a royal guard?” Sunset asked.

“No, my father however was, a Captain you can say.” He said.

“Well I’ll tell you what, if you can defeat me we’ll let you join the Special Forces with Piercing. However if you fail then you must leave this place.” Sunset said looking back at Twilight who was getting nervous.

He stepped back to gain some ground. “Challenge Accepted Princess Sunset Shimmer. When you are ready you may attack me. I always give my opponents the first strike.” He said summoning armor that covered his body.

Golden’s armor was all black with grey streaks, on the center of his armor plate was his cutie mark which was indeed a Golden Bow and Arrow. He summoned a bow which he levitated next to him ready for an attack.

Sunset charged her horn at maximum power. Surrounding her was a mix of fire and her own aqua aura. She jumped up and unloaded a fire blast heading straight for Golden Arrow.

Golden Arrow shot the ground next to him and the ceiling above, the two arrows then merged into a wall shield that stopped Sunset’s attack.

Surprised by the action, she was confused on how he can do such magic. Giving him the advantage here he shot three arrows that disappeared.

Twilight was watching this encounter unfold. He was a highly skilled Unicorn who knew such advanced magic then channeled magic into the arrows. It’s smart, very smart.

Twilight looked up and saw the arrows in front and on the sides of Sunset Shimmer. The middle arrow in front of Sunset burst into three smaller arrows which hit Sunset directly to the chest. She fell unconscious making Golden the victor.

Twilight rushed to her aid then looked at Golden who returned to his normal state, his armor depleted. He walked up to the pair then looked down at Sunset who was ‘out of it’ at this point. He chuckled. “Don’t worry Princess Twilight she’s not in any way harmed. I merely just stunned her and knocked her unconscious. She’ll come to in a few hours so just lay her in bed until she comes to.” Twilight levitated Sunset onto her back and walked off to the bedroom. She looked back and smiled.

“A deals a deal Golden Arrow. Welcome to the Special Forces. Introduce yourself to Piercing Dart.” Twilight left Golden alone with the shadow guard.

Golden looked around the throne room. All there was, was silence, complete silence. Golden sat down in the middle of the throne room, waiting for Dart to come out of hiding, but he didn’t.

Golden chuckled to himself. “I know you’re here Piercing… Come out and greet your fellow squad mate.”

No response.

Golden saw a figure standing on a column. It was very hard to see since he was blending so well with the darkness of the ceiling.

“I know you’re there Piercing Dart, come out and let’s be friends.”

Piercing stood where he was in the shadows observing Golden Arrow. Finally some words came out of Dart’s mouth. “If you are my squad mate Golden Arrow, then I guess I have no reason to hide."
