The train ride was nice and peaceful. This is what they wanted during this entire quest. Peace, and they finally had it. The train stopped at Canterlot and stood still for 20 minutes. While that was happening they went to the castle and gave Princess Celestia the letter. She read it over and smiled. She signed it and sent it back the king and yelled out for some guards to show. As they did they bowed before her as she spoke.

“I want 10 squads deployed to the Griffon Empire to assist them in their war efforts, I want a casualty report after it’s done.” They saluted and ran off to gather the squads for the assigned task.

She then turned her head to the bunch who were standing patiently for her. She walked to them and noticed that Piercing wasn’t with them.

“What happened to Piercing Dart?” Twilight looked away.

Golden spoke out, “He told us to leave him behind as he was being attacked by some rebels though I believe that he’s still alive out there somewhere.” Celestia nodded off to Golden’s statement.

“Very well excellent work from you and Piercing I hereby promote you both to the next rank and as for you girls’ thank you for completing this task for me I understand how hard it was. Now go back home and rest it off I’m sure you all need it.” She went back to sitting down as they all left.

The guards behind the door as they left saluted to Golden, “Congrats on your Promotion Lieutenant Colonel Golden Arrow sir!” They yelled in unison. He saluted back and left with the girls back to Ponyville.

-In Ponyville-

Twilight and Sunset exchanged their goodbyes to the rest of the Mane 6 as they left to their homes. Both Princesses stepped into the castle and saw Spike cleaning up. Spike ran to them and embraced them tightly, then noticed that Sunset’s front hooves were soaked on blood in fact he noticed that both Twilight and Sunset were in some type of armor.

“Where did you guys go and what did you guys do?” Spike asked Twilight and Sunset who were too exhausted to talk. Golden waved him off

“I’ll explain later, for now Twilight and Sunset go get some rest if you need me just yell.” They both nodded and walked to their bedroom.

Once inside their room both Twilight and Sunset laid in bed in each other’s arms, too tired to do anything else. So they both fell asleep.

Spike and Golden were sitting in the dining room, Golden was telling him the entire mission in a nutshell.

“And so that’s how we completed the mission.” Golden concluded.

Spike was amazed and sad at the same time. “Sorry about Piercing he was a good guy.”

Golden looked out the window nearest to him where the sun shined through. “Yeah he was.”

-The Next Day-

Twilight awoke from her slumber with Sunset. She left the embrace they shared while they slept peacefully. She looked to a clock it read ’11:34am’.

‘We’ve been asleep for 16 hours…’ she thought looking at Sunset’s sleeping form. She lightly nudged her and after a few seconds Sunset’s eyes were in view. They shared a small look at each other before getting up from the bed and walking to the throne room. Golden and Spike were waiting for them.

As they enter Golden and Spike walked to them. Golden spoke first.

“Well look who woke up, you’ve been asleep for quite a while now. WE were almost going to pronounce you dead.” Golden laughed but Sunset wasn’t in the mood as she was disturbed from her slumber.

“Bite me…” Is all she muttered to him as she leaned back on her throne

Golden showed off a cocky smile. “Ohhh, so the Princess is getting all huffy how cute.”

“Shut up.” Sunset barked back.

Golden was having too much fun with it. “Oh and now to vulgar language really this must be the day.”

“I will bucking kill you if you don’t shut up.” Sunset stood up from her throne and charged up her horn.

Twilight stepped in between them both. “Enough! Golden Arrow stop acting like Jackass and Sunset go take a nap.”

Silence filled the room. The only thing that made noise was the main doors opening. When they opened nopony was seen coming in as if they opened on their own. Curious to the door, Twilight walked outside of it and looked around, everypony didn’t pay no mind as they walked to different shops and houses. She closed to door behind her and went back to the Spike and Golden.

“Well that was weird.” Twilight said, but to her dismay the doors opened again but this time revealing the Pony who saved their lives. Piercing Dart.

He was bleeding heavily and the arrow was still in his side as it continued to gush blood out of his body. The blade was still in his hind leg as he limped over to them, and his face was bruised from the attacks. Piercing began to laugh at them.

“You know it takes a lot to kill me. Griffons however, they can pack a punch.” Golden began to laugh, Twilight looked at them two as if she was in a different world.

“Welcome back you son of a bitch, so you survived after all.” Golden hugged then hoofbumped him but he grunted in pain from the contact.

“Yeah Golden, still very hurt here and I can bleed out. I might ask you Twilight if I can get some medical attention here?” Piercing asked kneeling to the ground to ease the pain.

Twilight nodded and took out a quail and some paper and sent a letter to the Ponyville hospital to send a few nurses. She walked over to him to examine the wounds.

“You’re bleeding pretty bad Piercing you sure you don’t need to lie down anywhere? Here let me get you some~” Twilight was stopped short when Piercing put his hoof on her shoulder.

“I’m good just leave me here with my squadmate.” Twilight smiled at him for his small words.

“I’ll let Sunset know that you’re okay, just don’t die on me.” Is all Twilight stated before leaving him alone with Golden.

They sat around for a few minutes until the nurses came and went to work on him, they began to remove the weapons off of him first then weapons stuck in him second.

While the nurses were doing what they did Golden looked at him.

“So what’s our next adventure?”
