Over two thousand years ago, the griffin explorer Pytheas sailed through the Antlertic Ocean with a crew of over three thousand griffins and the prestigious ship, the Ultima Thule. He returned to Gryphonia with only thirty griffins, and the ship apparently lost. All records of the voyage were lost, or destroyed by Pytheas and the crew sworn to silence.

At least, that's how the story goes.

The adventure of a lifetime awaits the university student Daring Do as she uncovers the fate of the Ultima Thule, and the secrets of Pytheas' lost voyage.
