WELCOME TO CANTERLOT HIGH
CHAPTER 1- PROLOGUE
“Stand still Rainbow Dash. If you wait, brushing your hair will end soon,” said Rarity.
“Rarity, I … OW! ... Don’t need any … OUCH! … Makeups or … AHHH! … Any dress … UGH!” exclaimed Rainbow painfully.
Rarity and she were at Carousel boutique along with their other friends. They were getting ready for a party from their friend Pinkie Pie. This party was important to all of them. Not only Pinkie’s friends but also other students at Canterlot High. And that was why they were so lucky that they found a little bit time for their selves. Carousel boutique had been so busy and crowded that day cause everyone wanted Rarity to make them a dress or put a makeup on their face.
Fortunately, Rarity’s friends were there to help her in selling clothes and taking appointments. If they weren’t with her, she was passed out at that moment but instead, she was kind and generous and told them that she can make girls ready herself.
And at that moment, at boutique everyone were doing their own work. Rainbow was still wincing under Rarity’s hands. Next to them Applejack was trying to brush her hair as fast as she could, so Rarity didn’t have to go THAT rough on her.
Across from them, at one of tables, Bluey was helping Fluttershy in coloring her nails. Next to them, Twilight and Sunset were trying clothes on and commenting on them. Pinkie weren’t there cause she was getting party ready. But she told Rarity to make her a dress and bring it with her at the party.
This party made a lot of troubles for everyone cause Rarity only had two weeks for making her friends dresses and do the other appointments. And that was the reason Carousel boutique was that crowded
It was true that this party made a lot of trouble but everyone was waiting for it. This party, like other parties, was planned by Pinkie Pie. This time her new boyfriend, Cheese Sandwich, was helping her too.
Party was for new students in Canterlot High. Every year, some new students were signing in Canterlot high. Before Pinkie panned this party, it was kinda hard for old students to meet new ones, but this party made it much easier and also it was a good excuse for gathering. By the way, what is better than a good party for a group of teenagers, in the hot and sunny weather of summer? Especially when Pinkie had planned it? And specially when nobody had nothing to do and was bored?
The thing that made this party more special, was that everyone helped in making it. Even principal Celestia! Her help was giving name of new students to Pinkie so she can invite them easier.
Party was at 6:00 but they had to get ready before 4:30 cause Bluey’s sister, who had to take them to party, had a date and the distance was quite far.
Party was at Surprise’s house. Because, first that her house was so big and second that she was Pinkie’s cousin. But her house wasn’t inside the town. For going there, especially from Carousel boutique, took an hour driving.
With Pinkie’s great planning and other student’s help, everything was going smoothly. Well…maybe for other students. There was something that bother girls every time they went out. That small but important thing could make their drive to party like hell.
And that thing was…boys.
Yes boys. It was somehow crazy at first look but if you thought of it, it didn’t seem so crazy.
Well, reason was simple. What does boys do when they see girls? That’s obvious. Flirting. Especially with pretty girls. And what do they do with seven pretty girls?
Well they could easily stand all of them until they get to party but they know those boys were more barefaced than this.
But there was a way for getting free of them too. They had a good repellent. These repellents were rarely found but fortunately, girls had one of them right by their side.
These repellents had two kinds. First kind were other boys. Maybe a good boyfriend to glare at whoever tried talk to them. Even a brother or father was enough. But founding a boyfriend took too much time. Not to mention that none of them didn’t want to find a boyfriend (except from Rarity). Asking one of their brothers was somehow impossible cause only Rainbow and Twilight had brother and both were busy.
Twilight’s brother, was busy take some of his friends to the same party girls were going to and then after that, ‘hanging out’ but Twilight had said that she knows that her brother has a girlfriend. And he wants to go on a date with her.
On the other hand, Rainbow’s brother who was younger than Shining Armor was invited to the party and couldn’t come with them. By what Rainbow told them, he had his own ‘works’ to done and couldn’t spend his time with some girls. Also, he needed his car for him and his date.
So all girls could do was using the second way and that way was using someone who knew how to fool boys. That person had to be someone who know how to flirt so well or it had to be someone harsh enough to show them who’s the boss.
They had both of these kind of people in their group. For flirting, Rarity and for someone harsh, Rainbow Dash.
But experience showed them that the flirting way didn’t have good results and Rarity didn’t want to flirt for all of the boys. So harsh way was the best way. And among them, who was harsher than Rainbow Dash?
Rainbow’s plan was always one thing: When those boys were trying to drag their attention, Rainbow was starting her work and show them that not all of the girls are the same.
It always worked and she never saw anyone flirt after her harsh words. Maybe she never saw these boys but that didn’t mean that those boys didn’t exist. But unfortunately for boys, she was always ready for those kind of them.
With Rainbow by their side, they didn’t have anything to worry about. So after half an hour, they were ready to go party, completely aware of number of boys that might get in their way but completely unaware of the big disaster that was about to happen during the way…

Before party
“Bluey, don’t forget what I told you. You still owe me something,” said Bluey’s sister.
She was a beautiful girl with a tri color hair and pink skin. Her hair was purple, pink and a very light yellow. Her hair was gathered in a ponytail style. She wore a pink shirt with a blue crystal heart on it, a pair of jeans and simple sport shoes. Kindness and caring was completely visible from her beautiful purple eyes.
“You’re lucky that I hadn’t tell mom yet,” muttered Bluey with a frown.
“What did you say?”
“Nothing.”
“Then tell your friends to come.”
Bluey sighed. “Fine.” Then she went back to boutique and said, “Hey girls, my sister’s out there.”
“But I still…”
“Rarity, enough colorin’ your face. We don’t have time,” said Applejack.
“OK, OK. I’ll come now,” said Rarity. They all walked out of boutique. Where Cadance, Bluey’s sister was standing next to me.
“Girls, this is my sister, Cadance. She’s gonna take us to the party,” said Bluey. Then she glared at the Cadance. “And as she told me, save us from boys.”
Cadance who was smiling until that moment, seemed shocked. “First, I never said such a thing. Second, there’s no guarantee I can do this.”
“We don’t one anyway,” said Sunset. “Rainbow can do it without anyone’s help.”
Rainbow smiled proudly. “Of course I can. I can do anything.”
Rarity mumbled, “Except from founding a boyfriend.”
“I heard you Rarity!” said Rainbow loudly. “And it’s not like I can’t find any. I easily can do this. The thing is I don’t like to.”
“Yes, yes, like all the time. Now can we finally go to party?” said Twilight.
After what Twilight said, girls headed to the car and after some minutes of fighting for the front seat, they were ready for going to party.
The way girls were sitting at the rear seat or better to say, pressing to each other, could make anyone laugh. But unlike six girls at rear seat, Rainbow was too comfortable at front seat. She looked back to see if everything was OK. The sight made her laugh too.
“Advantages of being boys repellent!” said Rainbow.
“Hey, don’t laugh! If I was as barefaced as you, you were back there sitting instead of me!” said Bluey.
“OK, stop fighting. Someone tell me where are we gonna go?” said Cadance
“Do you know where Surprise’s house is?” asked Sunset.
“Yeah. I know.”
“Then go there.”
“OK, everyone, sit tight cause I’m fire! Let’s go forward to boys!” said Cadance.
“Cadance!”
She chuckled. “OK, OK, I was just kidding.
Cadance drove car to a big intersection. Intersection was filled with cars and people. Most of the people there were boys. Well, no wonder. It was weekend and this place was exactly for boys who wanted to flirt with some poor girl.
“UGH, do we have to wait here?” asked Twilight.
“Sorry but we’re stuck in this traffic,” said Cadance.
“Warning, be prepared. Some boys are getting closer,” warned Rainbow.
“Well Rainbow, that’s on ya! Let’s see what are ya gonna do,” said Applejack.
Right after Applejack’s word, girls saw four cars, stopping beside them. Well not exactly beside. Two of them were behind their car and two of them beside girls’ car.
“Here comes the trouble,” whispered Bluey.
And she was completely correct cause the boy in the car was scanning them carefully. And god he was handsome but he wasn’t too muscular.
“Hello pretties!” said that boy. Rainbow smiled. Her round started right now. But that boy thought another thing from that smile. Rainbow saw hope in his face too. Too bad that this hope was going to turn to ash soon.
“You know what?” said Rainbow to the boy with a smile.
That boy smiled too. “What?”
Rainbow’s smile fade slowly and turned to a big, scary frown. “You’d better shut you’re big mouth or I’ll show you the true meaning of beauty!” shouted Rainbow.
That poor boy was looking at her with wide eyes and as his front was free, he pushed his feet at the gas pedal and went forward. That made girls snicker.
Since that traffic seemed to be so heavy, and that intersection was filled with boys, Rainbow’s business had just started.
Rainbow was begging for more boys, when one of those cars from behind, drove next to girls’ car.
Some minutes passed. Nothing happened. That was impossible. Rainbow turned her head to that boy.
Oh, yeah…
That boy was bouncing his eyebrows. Poor Applejack who was sitting next to car’s door, was trying to don’t look at him and frown but she was so uncomfortable under his gaze.
“Hey, mister!” called Rainbow.
That boy looked at Rainbow with an attractive smile. Well it wasn’t attractive for Rainbow. “What pretty?”
“SHUT UP FOR GOD’S SAKE! SOME PEOPLE HERE ARE TRYING TO BE FREE OF DAMN BOYS!” shouted Rainbow.
That poor boy gulped and quickly drove away cause at that moment, traffic ended and every car moved.
As they started moving, another car stopped by them. There were two boys in that car. Nothing much. Rainbow dealt with more than five boys at once.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Look what we have here!” said the driver of that car.
“Yeah, seven pretty girl!” said the other boy.
Rainbow glared at them. But not a simple glare. A big, scary and killing glare. One of those glares that can kill anyone who see it. And one of those glares that can shut the mouth of anyone who dared to speak to Rainbow dash the wrong way.
That glare shut those boys mouth. After they faced Rainbow’s glare, they quickly looked another way. They pulled away from girls but before they go, one of them whispered something like, “Excuse me ladies!”
Right after they went away, all of them burst in laughter. Those last boys and their exclaim made them laugh. Even Cadance was laughing.
“Now I understand why you bring Rainbow with you wherever you go!” said Cadance between her laughter.
“Who’s next? It was just my warm up! Come and face Rainbow Dash!” said Rainbow.
“Rainbow don’t be proud. Don’t you want a barefaced boy who won’t stop teasing you until the party? Do you?” said Twilight.
“No boy dare do so after what I’m gonna tell him!” Rainbow said.
“Whatever. Forget that. Look at this car. The one at our right,” Bluey pointed to the car.
It was one of English cars. Driver’s car was at right and front seat at left. So the passenger at front seat was exactly across from Rainbow. And because of Rainbow’s great and good chance, a big boy was sitting at front seat. And that boy really was big. Not that he was heavy. No. He was big because he was too muscular and well-built.
“Well, what’s wrong with that car?” asked Applejack.
“Don’t you see it? There are a lot of boys in that car,” said Fluttershy with a shudder. Well, no wonder. Fluttershy didn’t hate boys. She was afraid of them!
“Except from that, look at their chance. They have a lot of space, I wish we had that much space,” said Bluey.
“It’s still not late. You can go and seat in their car. I’m sure they don’t mind a pretty girl sitting with them!” said Rainbow. Everyone laughed. Bluey rolled her eyes and smiled.
“But girls, they aren’t like last ones. Do you see them? They’re so handsome!” said Rarity.
Twilight rolled her eyes. “Rarity you think all of the boys are handsome!”
“This is not true!” whined Rarity.
“It’s true and Rares, a lot of boys might be handsome but they’re all trouble,” said Rainbow.
“But Bluey’s right anyway. If we only had half of that space, it would be great!” said Sunset.
“Oh, what are we gonna do with that much boy? They’re a lot!” said Fluttershy.
“As long as they don’t bother us, they’re safe. But if they start teasing then they have to face me,” said Rainbow.
“But if ya count the driver too, they’re 8. Ya never fought that much boy,” said Applejack.
“Come on AJ! I can handle them. Just leave it to me,” said Rainbow.
“OK. If you really want, we have nothing to say,” said Twilight.
They all sat quietly. Good! It seemed that those boys hadn’t see girls yet. Or if they did, they didn’t want to show it and bother them. But with all of these, Rainbow had an eye on them. However they acted, they were still boy. And boys were all the same. Well maybe they weren’t all same but that was what Rainbow thought. Nope! It looked like those boys didn’t even want to look at them!
Rainbow didn’t know much about the boys in rear seat but the one that caught her eyes was that boy across from her.
Rainbow was starting to like him. He didn’t seem to be interested in watching girls. She was watching him secretly. He looked so calm and gentle. She had never saw anyone more handsome than him and there was no doubt he had a good muscular body and … well this one was a little crazy but he looked like Soarin!
Soarin, Wonderbolts’ co-captain, was the most famous and the best Wonderbolt in the team. After a report from a beauty magazine, he was famous for being the most handsome Wonderbolt. That report caused a lot of young girls to be his fan.
But Soarin beside these, was Rainbow’s favorite Wonderbolt too. The bad thing was that she never saw Soarin out of uniform so she wasn’t sure if that boy across from her was the famous Soarin or not. But there was almost no chance that he would be friend with anyone other than his teammates but… who knew?
With all of the awesomeness it had to have Soarin right next to her, she tried to think of the worst situation, in which that boy wasn’t Soarin and she had to deal with him.
However, when Rainbow was deep in her thoughts about Soarin, that boy made a move. He glanced at Rainbow but turned his head away after a second. Then quickly turned his head back to Rainbow and stared at her with wide eyes.
He was staring DIRECTLY at her and she was very uncomfortable under that gaze. Boys did stare at her before but no one did it like this and from this close distance.
For that, she quickly looked somewhere else. Anywhere except from that boy. Why was he doing this? Rainbow thought he was different. But he in the other hand he wasn’t doing anything bad. No one could blame him for just looking.
Finally, after a good minute of staring at her, he gazed back to his front like nothing had happen but the only thing that changed was that he had a big smirk on his face.
Suddenly Rainbow changed her opinion. At that moment, that boy didn’t seem as calm and gentle as before. He looked like a big amount of trouble. Rainbow was so eager to know what was going on on that boys mind.
She found out soon. And after that ‘accident’, Rainbow wished she would never find out about that…
Suddenly, out of nowhere, that boy whistled loudly and said, “Whoa, whoa, whoa! Look at what we have here! Hello pretty!” then he bounced his eyebrows at Rainbow.
AT RAINBOW! OK, OK, that meant personal space. RAINBOW DASH’s personal space. And it didn’t have good result. It never had. Such boys were rarely found but Rainbow never acted the same with them. Not the same as she did to the boys who were talking to all of her friends.
‘OK pretty boy, you asked for it!’ thought Rainbow.
Rainbow used all of her experience and all of her anger to answer that boy. She glared angrily at that boy. Scarier than any time before and madder than an injured lion.
“AND WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?” Rainbow shouted with all of the energy she had and man… she looked so angry and scary.
But unlike what Rainbow thought, that boy calmly and with a girl killing smirk said, “I think I’m talking to a cute, pretty girl!” and he bounced his eyebrow again.
WHAT?! That scream didn’t work on him? It always worked for boys! He was a tough guy. Well, it was OK for Rainbow. Ms. Boys’ repellent wasn’t going to give up this soon. But if anger didn’t work on him then she’d rather talk quietly to him than using her energy just to shout at him.
Rainbow groaned. “How dare you talk to me like that?”
“Yeah, you’re right. Talking to such a lady does need a daring man but I don’t know why today I feel enough brave to talk to this pretty lady!” he added a wink too.
Rainbow was barely holding herself from anger. And what was she thinking? He seemed different? Yeah, he was. He was more barefaced than other boys.
“And I don’t know why today I feel full of enough energy to shut someone’s mouth!” said Rainbow.
“Even you shutting my mouth is sweet!”
“Could please shut your big smelly mouth?”
“If my lady is commanding, why not?”
Rainbow frowned and turned her head away from him.
“What happened? Did he earned the honorable name of first boy how Rainbow Dash failed to?” asked Sunset.
“Me? ME? Failed to a boy? FAILED TO A BOY? NEVER! Just this is one of tough guys. I have to make my mind ready.”
“Everyone be prepared, the show is starting! The great Rainbow Dash, master of boy killing VS. The most barefaced boy in the world!” said Cadance jokingly.
“Oh yeah. Watch and see how I teach him some manners,” said Rainbow. “I just need another nudge from him and I’ll start the war!”
“Hey, miss super cute and pretty!” called that boy.
Rainbow huffed. “Could you please don’t call me that?”
“Well you’re pretty and cute.” He winked. “And I don’t know you’re name.”
“And you’re never gonna find out!” said Rainbow.
“Oh, no, no, no, pretty. I’m sure I’m gonna find it soon.”
“Don’t even think of it.”
“We’ll see pretty girl. Remember some people have better ear than other have.”
“You’re a jerk!” said Rainbow casually.
“A jerk who has the opportunity to talk to a pretty cute girl!”
“Could you please stop saying that?”
“You know the answer.”
“Whatever Mr. Over self-confidence!”
“But you’ll do me a great favor if you tell me your name by yourself!”
“Huh! Never. And I’ll make sure you won’t find out.”
He just looked at Rainbow with the same girl killing smirk. Rainbow crossed her arms and looked away with her frown still on. She decided to not talk to anyone until the end of the ride. Then no one had to call her name.
It was a crazy plan but it was better than holding herself back from not getting angry at that boy for rest of the drive.
“What happened? Did show ended?” asked Sunset. Rainbow didn’t answer.
“Then ah think that guy won,” said Applejack. Rainbow didn’t answer again.
“It looks like he does. What an honor! The first time Rainbow failed! Am I right darling?” said Rarity. Rainbow didn’t say anything again but she groaned.
“Ra…” Twilight wanted to call Rainbow but she shut her mouth after seeing Rainbow’s angry face.
“Don’t call my name. And don’t talk to me.”
Twilight gulped. “O…OK.” After that there was some minutes of silence in the car. No one was talking. The only sound was sound of cars outside and sound of talking from boys’ car.
In that time, Bluey had the perfect time to watch those boys. She had been listening to Rainbow Dash and the boy she was ‘talking’ to. So she couldn’t take a look at them. Not that she really like boys but she just wanted to see who they were.
She had a good view of them because she was sitting next to door. She glanced at the first boy. He looked so handsome and…familiar? Could it be…?
No it was impossible. Bluey didn’t have such a good chance! But it still could be him.
“Pssst! Twilight!” whispered Bluey to Twilight who sitting next to her.
“Yes, Bluey?”
“Do you the first boy?”
“The one next to door?”
“Yeah, that one.”
“OK?”
“Doesn’t he look familiar?”
“Familiar? I don’t know. But he’s a little similar to that new singer. You know, the one who got famous soon. What was his name?”
“You mean Star Song?”
“Yeah! That one! Maybe it’s him.”
“I don’t know maybe he only looks like him. Just like that boy who Rainbow was arguing earlier.”
“But he’s not familiar.”
“He is. He looks like one of Wonderbolts members.”
“Girls, I think car of celebrities is there. It’s not only those two. One of the famous male fashion designers is sitting there. The one I always wanted to see,” said Rarity.
“So, a singer, a flier and a fashion designer. What else? An actor?” said Twilight.
“You guys think that boy looks like Soarin too?” asked Rainbow suddenly.
“Who’s Soarin?” asked Twilight.
Rainbow rolled her eyes. “Wonderbolts co-captain and the best Wonderbolt on the team. And maybe that boy.” Rainbow pointed to him who was talking to his friends at that second.
“Oh, yeah I think the same,” said Bluey. Among Rainbow’s friends she was the only one who knew Wonderbolts as good as her. But of course she wasn’t a big fan as Rainbow was but she knew their names just as Rainbow did. “But the things he does make my opinion change.”
“Yeah, me too. Let’s just say he looks like him. I know the real Soarin would never be a jerk like him,” said Rainbow.
“Anyway this ‘jerk’ guy seemed to be a good one. Why don’t you just yes to him for first time?” asked Cadence.
“Yes? He didn’t ask me anything!”
“I meant answering his flirting. Why don’t you play along a boy for a first time? It doesn’t hurt trying.”
“It DOES hurt trying. What if he turned out to be a total jerk who’s in relationship with a lot of girls other than me?”
“And what if he turned out to be the love of your life?”
“No thank you. I don’t wanna take that chance.”
“Come on Rainbow he doesn’t have anything that you can say no to,” said Bluey.
“No he’s… he’s… not the right boy!” said Rainbow.
“And what is definition of ‘right boy’ in your mind?” asked Bluey.
“Well right boy should be… umm… Oh, handsome!” said Rainbow pridefuly.
“And you think that boy’s NOT handsome? If you don’t call it handsome then what do you call handsome?” said Cadance.
“OK, fine. He IS handsome but he should be strong too.”
“What? Well, all I see from that boy is big bunch of muscles. I don’t about you,” said Bluey.
“Yeah, yeah, he’s pretty muscular but he still doesn’t have something.”
“What?”
“That right boy should have green eyes too.”
For some minutes Bluey was sitting there shocked until she found out what Rainbow meant. All of those features together were belonged to one certain celebrity…
“COME ON THAT POOR BOY DON’T HAVE TO BE SOARIN JUST TO ATTRACT YOUR ATTENTION! RAINBOW DASH TH…” she put her hand over her mouth. Oh, no. She shouldn’t say this. Rainbow would kill her. “I mean…”
She tried to fix it but it was too late. “HUH! I knew it! I told you I’m gonna figure your name out soon Rainbow Dash!” exclaimed the boy who was grinning at that moment. Rainbow was so angry. Very very VERY angry. She didn’t even know why!
Rainbow turned to Bluey. “Thank you so much for giving information to my enemy!” said Rainbow angrily.
“Sorry!” squeaked Bluey.
“Enemy?!” asked the boy.
Rainbow glanced at him and answered him coldly, “Yes, my enemy. All of the boys are my enemy. I HATE THEM ALL!” she shouted the last sentence right into his face. “Especially you.”
He seemed shocked that she shouted at him but he soon found himself and whistled. “Ooooh, spicy rainbows! I love them but since there’s only one, I enjoy it! That could work for me too!”
“SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!”
“Oh no no no. I won’t until this pretty lady talk to me like a human not a fool!”
“You? YOU? I didn’t answer the ones who were ten times better then you. Why should I consider you a human? Who do you think you are? The most attractive boy in the world?” said Rainbow. Although she knew half of them were lie. He never saw any boy more attractive than him and he was the most handsome boy she ever talked to. But at that moment the important thing was shutting his mouth.
“Maybe I am. Who knows? But last time I checked I was.”
“Over self-confidence AGAIN!”
“It’s a lot better than sour behavior,” that boy snapped back. “But who cares? As long as this pretty Rainbow is talking to me, nothing’s important!”
Rainbow did nothing but frown. What else she could do? That boy had answer for anything Rainbow was saying. He wasn’t only barefaced, he was also very talky and annoying. But unfortunately an attractive kind of annoying!
“By the way, it seems that your friends aren’t comfortable.” He pointed to pressed girls. “Why don’t come here in our car? You can seat on my feet if you want. It’ll be a big pleasure! Me, with a cute girl right here.” Then he pointed to his feet with a big grin.
And Rainbow Dash…
From the second he started talking she felt anger inside her and with every word he was saying her eyes growing wider until the rate she got worried they might drop to the ground. But at that moment it was the least important thing and the last thing that could enter her mind.
And…
That was the limit. The limit of Rainbow’s nerves. From there she tried to hold herself but when someone got passed her limit there was nothing holding her back. They were alone, facing the inner monster of her…
So as expected, the next thing that happened was an explosion. Simply… her eyes twitched and…
“SHUT UP YOU WORTHLESS JERK! WHAT DID YOU THINK OF ME? ONE OF YOUR IDIOT GIRLFRIENDS? NO MISTER I. AM. NOT! “
Then she panted like she just came back from marathon around the world but this one was just out of her patience. And yes. She had to admit. She couldn’t do it alone. So…
“CADANCE, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING TO THEM!”
But dislike that boy who was looking at them with wide eyes and Rainbow’s friends who were looking at Rainbow with fear in their eyes, Cadance was barely holding herself to not burst in laughter. But she finally managed to say, “OK, I’ll try.”
Then she took several deep breath to calm herself. Then she started to put her angry face on and finally said, “Could you please shut your mouth and let us have some peace?”
And with all of the shock that had remained in that boys mind, he glance at the driver next to him. And his approving glance made everything just WORSE!
“Hey you miss pretty driver, you’re not bad yourself! Wanna come out with me tonight?” said the driver of boys’ car.
Cadance’s eyes went wide but after few seconds she sighed. “I’m so sorry Rainbow but I know their driver and I know his unstoppable. I guess you’re on your own.”
Rainbow frowned and crossed her arms. But she didn’t talk anymore. She just sat straight and looked forward.
That boy was staring at her once again. This time not only Rainbow felt uncomfortable but also didn’t give it a shit! She decided to end this thing as soon as she can. And she didn’t care about the winner. There was always exceptions in the world, right?
“Hey, pretty Rainbow!” called the boy.
“What did you say?” maybe Rainbow was calmer than before but she was still angry.
In return, he only shrugged. “I just called you. I thought you were Rainbow Dash.”
“I AM Rainbow Dash but there’s no ‘pretty’ in my name.”
“Yeah it’s not in your name, but it’s in your face. I’m sure!” he grinned. “And I think I said, but I say once again. You’re pretty.” He bounced his eyebrows AGAIN! “By the way I wanted to talk to you.”
She rolled her eyes and said, “Do something you hadn’t already.”
“I meant like two civilized, grown, human not two noisy monkeys.”
“Wait a sec. First, don’t call me monkey cause it’s you. And second, do you really agree on being a noisy monkey all this time?”
“Does it make you talk to me like a human?”
Rainbow acted like she was thinking and after some seconds of ‘thinking’, she said, “Maaaaaaybe!”
“OK, I agree on being a noisy monkey.”
“Did you really take that risk? What if I say no?”
“You had to take so many risks too if you had my job.”
‘His job? What could that be? Come on, who cares…’ thought Rainbow. “As long as you don’t make any stupid thing, OK. I’ll agree.”
“Just one thing.”
“What?”
He smirked. “Be careful to don’t make yourself a noisy monkey.”
“I’LL KILL YOU! I SWEAR!”
“How about beginning our talk?”
“OK, fine. Go on.” She didn’t even know why she accepted to talk to him. But something in her made her doing so.
“Sooo… where are you girls going?”
“This is none of…”
“We were supposed to…”
“OK fine.” Rainbow frowned. “To a party,” she said coldly.
“A party? We’re going to one too. It’s from our school.” Then he smiled but she didn’t even look at him. “Speaking of school, which school are you girls in?”
“Great, he wants to bother me at my school door…”
“AHM!”
Rainbow sighed. “Canterlot High.”
“Canterlot High? Great! We’re in the same school!”
“The worst thing ever. To me it’s no great. It’s just trouble.”
He rolled his eyes. “By the way, are you guys old students?”
“Yeah. We’ve been there since elementary. Anymore silly question rookie?”
“What?”
“Rookie. I always call new ones rookie. PROBLEM?” She shouted the last sentence at him with her famous, angry glare.
In return, he just looked flatly at her. Then suddenly grinned widely. “No problem. Instead, I’m gonna show them how to catch a spicy Rainbow!”
“SHUT. UP!”
“Yes ma’am!”
She grunted. There was no guarantee in keeping herself from punching that bustard if he talked again. She’d never met someone like him. He was…something. What she wondered was why her? There were a lot of girls better than her? Wasn’t he tired of flirting? Maybe he just wanted to make Rainbow angry. Yeah, that was the reason! Well, too bad cause she wanted to…
Someone’s yelp made her stop thinking. That yelp was from back of the car and from none other than a certain shy girl who barely made a sound.
“Is everything OK darling?” asked Rarity. But Fluttershy didn’t answer. All she did was shaking and looking forward with wide eyes.
“Fluttershy?” called Applejack. Fluttershy muttered something but it was hard to hear.
“Darling we can’t here you.”
“He looked at me!” whispered Fluttershy. It still was weak but enough to hear.
“Who?” asked Twilight.
“That boy from the other car.”
“But there’s no problem with people looking at their surroundings. I don’t understand why you are so scared,” said Twilight.
‘Yeah, there’s no wrong with people looking at their surroundings. Except from a certain dork!’ thought Rainbow.
“But he was… he was…” muttered Fluttershy.
“He was…?” asked Sunset as she raised her eyebrow.
“He was so…”
“So…?” said Twilight as she leaned in as a sign of excitement.
“Handsome.”
Sunset rolled her eyes. “Just this?”
“Oh, you girls will never understand. Please hide me somewhere! I don’t want to see him again! It was so scary!”
“OK Fluttershy, just keep calm…” said Sunset. Rainbow didn’t listen to it anymore. Cause as she thought, a certain boy was ‘looking at his surroundings’!
“What do you want now?” asked Rainbow with impatience.
“Who? Me?” he said.
“Just talk. I don’t wanna waste my precious time listening to a jerk!”
“Well, excuse me the great, beautiful Ms. Rainbow Dash!”
“Ugh, what’s the next name you’re gonna give me? And I thought I was ‘pretty Rainbow’”
“And I thought you didn’t like it. I still can call you this if you want.”
“No. thank you. Now open you’re sticky mouth and talk. I don’t have all my day for you.”
“OK, moody missy. I wanted to ask you the most important question of my life.”
“No.”
“What?”
“No, I won’t marry you!”
That exclaim made his mouth wide open. After some seconds his shock got less and he finally said, “Huh?”
“You said the most important question of your life. Most of the time when a boy is saying this, he means proposing for marriage!”
Another minute of shock and that boy’s shock passed and then, he got the subject. And as soon as he got it, he burst in laughter. A loud laughter. Even Sunset, Twilight and Fluttershy who were talking with each other turned their heads toward that boy.
Meanwhile, the most ridiculous thoughts ran into Rainbow’s head, most of them leading to the craziest sentence she ever thought of: His laugh is beautiful! She shook her head to take that silly sentence away. Instead, she tried to think of a different thing: Why was he laughing? She had to ask him cause she didn’t say anything funny… did she?
After some minutes of laughing, he finally stopped laughing and wiped the tears in his eyes. And finally opened his eyes to meet Rainbow’s angry glare.
“Ha ha ha ha! Are you done laughing now? Were you laughing from your hilarious face?”
“What? No! I was laughing from you.” Rainbow panted dangerously.
“OK, don’t get angry. I was just laughing from what you said.”
“Explanation. Now.”
“Just you have to know that not every boys’ most important question of life is asking for marriage.”
This time, it was Rainbow’s turn to be confused. But just for few seconds. In fact, she wanted to laugh because of her silly fault but in front of that boy…NEVER!
“Then what did you want to say?”
“I just wanted to ask if this pretty, cute and spicy Rainbow wants to join me in a great date. What do you say?”
“You? I would go out with out with anyone except from YOU!”
“Wow, I’ve never thought someone would say no to me!” he muttered under his breath but unfortunately, Rainbow heard him.
“Huh! Who do you think you are? Once again mister. You’re wrong if you think you’re the most gorgeous, handsome and good looking boy in the world that all of the girls kill their selves for, you’re dead wrong!”
“Then watch closely pretty!” he winked at her and then turned his head toward a car that has been on their other side for quite a long time. A girl was there, driving the car. And as soon as he noticed her, he started ‘talking’ to her.
“Hello pretty!” then he bounced his eyebrows for her. Just as what he’d done for Rainbow. But that girl acted completely different from Rainbow.
She giggled and batted her eyelashes. “Good evening Mr. Gorgeous!”
“I was wondering if this pretty girl wants to go on a little date with me?” he added a wink too.
She sighed happily and said dreamily, “Sure.”
But he smirked and in Rainbow’s disbelief said, “Oh, I think I changed my mind. This girl here is prettier than you!” then he turned back to Rainbow and bounced his eyebrows for her again.
That girl in the other car was looking at Rainbow the way that if someone saw her, she might think Rainbow was killer of her family!
“See? If I want, all of the girls in the town will be here begging me to only look at them. But who cares about them? This pretty girl is better than most of them!”
“UUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH! WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET FREE OF YOU?”
“Just come to a…”
“Never. Don’t even think about it.”
“What if I take you to the best restaurant in the town?”
“How many times should I say this damn thing? I. WON’T. GO. OUT. WITH. YOU! Crystal clear now?”
Rainbow was really getting tired of this. ‘If only, and just only he said one more thing then I’ll do my last plan to get him out of the way,’ she thought.
“No matter how many times you say no I’ll finally get the words out of your mouth,” he said.
“THAT’S IT!” she turned back to her friends. “I have to show that jerk that someone here is trying to get her mind free of damn boys! Wanna help me?”
Girls looked at each other, then at their angry friend.
“What do you wanna do?” asked Bluey.

“Your turn is gonna be soon. This is the first part of my evil plan.” Rainbow smirked. “Just wait you idiot boy. You should know no boy should fool around Rainbow Dash!”
“Just before starting this whole thing… Rainbow could you explain your plan again?” said Fluttershy.
“Sure. It’s easy. I’ll just throw some rubber bugs at him. His face is gonna be so hilarious! I can imagine it from now!”
“Just a little problem. Where do you want to get those rubber bugs?” asked Sunset.
“I always have them with myself.”
“Ah wonder why?” exclaimed Applejack.
“They don’t get much space and you always need them for getting a barefaced boy away. Just like this jerk here!”
“But there is a very big problem in your map,” said Bluey.
“What?”
“Um, Rainbow, I don’t really want to interrupt your plan but… COME ON! Didn’t you even think that he’s boy? Maybe you should use another trick or… if you really want to use this way, you should throw the one he fears the most,” said Bluey.
“But how is she gonna find out about that thing?” asked Applejack.
“I don’t know. Somehow,” said Bluey.
“Somehow huh?” asked Rainbow.

“OK, OK, let me see what can I do.” Then she turned toward the boy she thought was familiar. “Psssssst!”

“We need to talk!” said Bluey with narrowed eyes.

“Look, I don’t have a date for the party and I know there’s someone there that’ll make fun of me if I go there without a date. So all you can do is…”

“Exactly!”

“I… don’t know how to start.”
“Oh Rainbow, darling, be creative! You can do what he did!” said Rarity.

“…Listen Rainbow. You can just act like you changed your opinion.”
“Um…well…this thing would work if I really know how to do this. It’s exactly opposite from what I did lately.”
“Rainbow, all you have to do is using a little bit of your girly part. All of the girls can do it! You can do it too! That’s why girls exist!”
“O…OK, I’ll try.”
“Let’s say it like this, if you kick his butt like you did for others, you have to do that,” said Bluey.
Rainbow frowned. Bluey was right. She had to done this project like she did for the others. And there wasn’t going to be an exception in her honorable history of ‘Boys’ repellenting!’
“Let’s do this!” said Rainbow confidently. She took a deep breath and turned to that boy. All she had to do was just flirting. She just hoped the things she saw from Rarity and her own creative thoughts work on him! But for start, it had to be something simple. “Hey, mister!” called Rainbow but not as harsh as before. Much quieter and calmer.
“Yes…pretty? Want anything? Maybe a…kiss?” said the boy as he bounced his eyebrows for her for the thousandth time that day.
“Um…no thanks. I wanted to say something important.”
“Well?”
“I wanted to say that…I give up.”
“You…give up? Give up on what?”
Rainbow sighed comically. “Fighting with you.”
Right after Rainbow’s sentence ended a very big grin, formed on his lips “Wait does that mean…”
“Yes, it means no fighting anymore” Rainbow smiled brightly. But in inside, she was so excited. It was such a long time she hadn’t play tricks on anyone and besides, doing this girly thing for the first time in her life made her excitement even more! “But for start, I want to give you something with all of my heart!”
From back, few of girls couldn’t hold their selves and some few snickers escaped their mouth but he didn’t notice. Also, his own friend who gave the information to Bluey was grinning too.
“Gave me something with all of your heart? I really wanna know what it is.”
“You know what is it? A PIECE OF MY MIND!” And with that, Rainbow threw the rubber bugs right at his feet.
Just as Rainbow expected, he yelled from fear and throw them at back of the car. Poor boys who had sit at rear seats, yelled as they saw the bugs too! They’re faces was like they just had seen dragon! But…not all of them. That boy who was across from Bluey, was sitting and laughing from his friends’ crazy work.
And in girls’ car, girls, who were only waiting for a nudge to release their laughter, burst in laughter right after their shouting started. And Rainbow Dash, was almost killing herself from laughing. Cadance was laughing madly too and was barely paying attention to driving. Luckily, there was no one near them and no crash happened.
Finally, after those boys’ yelling, ended, they throw the bugs out of window but Bluey who was done laughing by that minute, saw them and grab them with her magic.
“THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE! PRICELESS!” shouted Rainbow happily. With this last statement, that boy across from her frowned. He frowned really hard. It was so scary. Almost as scary as Rainbow’s glare. And it made Rainbow a little scared too. So she stopped laughing but couldn’t clear the wide, bright smile on her face.
“OK missy, you start first. It won’t be without an answer. I’LL SHOW YOU!” he said angrily.
“And I’ll wait for it! I really want to see what a jerk can do as revenge! Probably jerky things!” and she laughed again.
But before Rainbow got to hear his answer, Cadance dove away. “Hey! I wanted to hear what he wants to say!”
Cadance rolled her eyes. “So sorry to save you just I felt if we stay longer there, we might get back home with you, dead.”
“Now what?” asked Sunset.
“Huh?”
“We did your trick. So… now what?”
“We wait.”
“Wait?”
“Yeah, for his revenge.”
“Are you crazy? He may do anything to you.”
“What do you mean by ‘anything’?”
“Like… kissing you! You still wanna stay?”
“Um…well…as…much as I hate him kissing me-“she acted like she just ate a disgusting food. “-I have to have an excuse for my next plan. So…I’m ready for this brave act!”
Sunset rolled her eyes. “OK brave Rainbow Dash. We’re waiting for the next show!”

She leaned closer. At that moment, half of her body was out of the car and she was so close to boys’ car. ‘I wonder what he wants to tell me…’ thought Rainbow. But too bad she didn’t realize something important…

“So it’s the plan that we’re gonna have part in it?” asked Twilight.
“Yeah, it is. Cause it’s not only revenge from him. It’s a revenge from all of them.” She smiled brightly. “All you have to do is acting naturally!”
“Oh my. I can see end of it from now. When this one ends, he’ll take revenge, then you’ll get a revenge, then he and then you and this cycle will continue for rest of the party! We have a long night ahead of us!” said Rarity.
“No. It’s my last plan. If Cadance drive away in time, we’ll be able to go to the party without any more boys.”
“Looks like ya thought about all,” said Applejack.
“Fooling boys does need a good plan.”
“I wonder where this brain go when you’re studying?” said Twilight.
“I thought you were about to break your record for not talking about school and studying for a day but this is Twilight Sparkle we’re talking about and for her it’s impossible!” said Rainbow Dash.
Twilight rolled her eyes. “Whatever.”
“Now can we get back to work please?” asked Applejack.
“Um, I had a question. Who’s gonna start it?” asked Fluttershy.
“Me. The one and only Rainbow Dash!” Rainbow said proudly. “Now watch, and learn.”
She turned to the boys’ car but this time she didn’t look at that boy or driver or anything.
She just looked at car’s tire. Then, she pretended that she’s surprised of something by widening her eyes and opening her mouth. She knew that boy was looking at her and she knew her plan had work. At least she didn’t have to be worried of this one cause she was a very good actor!
Her friends were amazed by her perfect acting too. They almost forget about their own acting too.
But all of them was until, Rainbow gasped suddenly.
“Oh no!” said Rainbow worriedly. For a minute, girls were surprised by her gasped then, slowly, they remembered what they should do. The first one who found herself and the plan was Rarity.
“Oh my goodness! This is so bad!” said Rarity. After what Rarity said, girls quickly found their responsibility and helped Rainbow and Rarity.
“Rarity’s right! Poor boys!” said Fluttershy.
“Who thought someone could get such a bad luck right before the party?” said Twilight.
“I wish we could help them,” said Bluey. And Sunset shook her head as ‘yes’ sign.
Finally curiosity got better of them and one of them asked, “Are you talking about us?”
“Why of course yes!” said Rarity.
“And why?” said the famous barefaced boy!
This time Rainbow answered. “Don’t you see it? Or at least feel it? Your wheel!”
“Our…wheel? Wait! What’s wrong with it?” he didn’t even wait for an answer. He quickly turned to driver and asked him to stop. That was why he didn’t hear those girls snicker.
Rainbow snickered too. “Cadance, stop wherever they stopped.” Cadance chuckled. “Let’s have some fun!”
After looking for a parking space, those boys stopped and girls stopped right behind them. Driver almost wanted to open the door when suddenly Rainbow shouted,
“WAIT! I know what’s wrong with your wheel!” then she snickered again but tried to contain her laughter. “You know what’s wrong with it? IT’S SWIRLING!” said Rainbow excitedly.
What happened next was the most hilarious scene in the world: All of those boys were staring dumbly at Rainbow.
OH GOD! Why were they so idiot? Dumb boys!
“Huh?” said the boy who was bothering Rainbow all the time.
“CADANCE GO! GO!” shouted Rainbow. Cadance quickly pushed her foot in the gas pedal and drove away as fast as she could. Before they go too far, Rainbow shouted, “Bye Mr. Handsome!” she would never say such a thing to a boy but since this handsome thing has been bothering her and she was sure she won’t see him anymore, she said that.
They drove away and when they were away from them enough, Cadence stopped and they released their selves and laughed for good 10 minutes! Then they got into car and Rainbow turned the radio on.
“Let’s have rest of our drive without boys and with music!” cheered Rainbow.
“YEAAAAAH!” shouted girls happily.

As soon as car stopped, its passengers exited. For a certain reason, THEY NEEDED DAMN AIR! From laughing in the car, pressing in the car and singing along the radio, there was no air left in their lungs. But finally they were free in the air filled with oxygen. But one thing hadn’t changed for them. They were still giggling and snickering.
“Oh Rainbow, I’d heard of that trick but I never did it!” said Bluey.
Sunset punched Rainbow’s arm playfully. “Yeah, Pinkie’s gonna be proud of you!”
They were sharing another good laughter when a car stopped by their car. Girls didn’t notice the familiar car. The car of trouble…
“So…Mr. Handsome, huh?” someone said from Rainbow’s behind. Rainbow didn’t see the owner of voice but her friends who saw it gasped loudly. But…it wasn’t hard to guess who it was.
Rainbow quickly turned her head back to meet with that boy’s smirk and raised eyebrow. When she saw him, she gasped too and muttered, “I… you… I was just… I mean…”
But sound of one his friends caused Rainbow to don’t continue. And thing he said…
That made Rainbow know that she made the worst false of her life just that day…
