“It’s so scary…” Mumbled Twilight as she was sitting next to the window one day. Both of her eyes were filled with the stuffing that given to her by Owloysius. Even though the irises were going at completely wrong directions (which made Twilight look like she is derping), but it seemed that Twilight was able to obtain the memories from the eyes. However, her entire body was shaking.

“What’s the matter Twilight?” Owloysius placed the bloody stained new gift down on the table and asked.

“If I put your gift in, I can always see wonderful visions. This is a very unique and special opportunity for me, and I am very thankful. But I just noticed that there had always been…”  It looked like Twilight could not find a right word to describe. She fell silent for a second and continued, “a monster from the visions.”

“A monster?”

Twilight nodded, which made one of the eyes fell out and bounced around. Twilight bent down and searched around the floor. After she found it, she wiped the dust off its smooth surface and placed it into the glass she used to keep the eye balls, which was so full of them that it looked like some of the balls would slip out at any second.

“What is the monster?” Owloysius asked, “What does it look like?”

Twilight shook her head, “I don’t know, it was just a glimpse. It looked like a monster, and for some reason I could feel that it was something scary… it’s just…”

Twilight face changed to a brighter tone. She turned to Owloysius and gave a little grin, “Please do not mind. Every gift that you have every brought me had been amazing. To me, light and color is like salvation.”

Twilight held out her hoof towards Owloysius. He knew that she wanted to hold his hooves, he saw a scene like this in one of the movies that he watched. If Owloysius had not been an Owl, he would totally have stepped forward and kissed Twilight on her hooves.

“Anonymous sir, do you really…exist? I haven’t enough touched your hooves before.”

Owloysius felt like his chest was being torn inside out. He couldn’t touch her, because he was not a pony. If his cover was blown, Twilight will be sad.

“I am terrible sorry Twilight, I can’t touch you. A few years ago when I was traveling in a foreign country, I caught some mysterious disease. If any pony touches me, the virus would pass onto them. The instant you touch me, you would probably become very sick.”

Owloysius flew out of the window once he finished his words. He could hear Twilight’s voice behind his tail, but he flapped his wings without hesitation. In his muscular bird chest, there was pain, so much of it that it was going to explode, tearing open his chest and burst out like a saber.

He flew towards the town with these complex yet painful feelings, looking for the next prey. He must be careful, because ponies had been alerted with rumors of Owl attacks. Before that, he was occasionally witnessed by other ponies when he raided eye balls, so the words of Owls taking eye balls quickly spread around town. Grown up ponies would take out the rifle and shoot any owl, and fillies would cover their eyes with one of their hooves one their way from home to school.

Owloysius had been shot at once too, but he was lucky and the bullet barely missed him. But since then, he had to be extremely cautious. He had to fly at a height that was too high for bare pony eyes to spot. And to bring the gift safely back to Twilight, he had to go to another town where the rumor of Owl attacks had not been spread to.

At the same time, he had came up with various ideas of taking pony eyes. He would find a small hole on a wall, and when some pony walks by, he would fake the voice of a pony, “Please take a look at this small hole, there are some extremely interesting thing here!”

Then he would wait till the silly pony move his eye next to the small hole. He would then quickly take out the eye ball and fly far away. And within another hour, he would be able to see Twilight’s face being filled with joy from the gift he brought her again.

No matter if he was chased by pony with guns, or thrown rocks at by little children, he kept getting close to ponies, and painting his own beak with crimson red. He would hide in the tree and watch the ponies walk by, and charge once he found the chance like an arrow. Ponies would be terrified at the sight of a giant bird appearing right in front of them, and their eyes would open up extremely wide from the shock. And Owloysius would take their eye balls at that instant.

Because he had been fighting other ponies for so long, sometimes he got an eye ball without even knowing it. He had broken a few eye balls while being attacked before, and occasionally he would have swallowed the eye balls by accident. But as long as he was able to make Twilight happy, he didn’t care.

One day he passed by a grave yard that was on a top of a hill with no other houses around. On the side there was a pony’s body which was covered up by white cloth. Another colt was swinging a shovel nearby, digging a big hole. It appeared the pony was about to be buried in a tomb. There was a piece of the dead ponies’ cloth slipping out from underneath the cover. Owloysius recognized that shirt. It was from a pony who he had stolen an eye from. It appeared that the pony was too desperate after he lost his eye that he committed suicide. Owloysius stood there until the hole was filled back in with the pony’s body inside, then he spread his wings and flew away.

Day after day, ponies were more cautious about Owls. In fact, they had already started killing all kinds of birds in ponyville.
