The Short Background Story To Dizzy Paws (my OC)
There were two baby ponies born. One was a colt and the other one was a filly. Both of the babies are Pegasus. When they open their eyes they looked normal. The colt was a darker coat then the filly, his mane and tail was black. The mane of the colt had a white stripe; the tail had a white and gray stripe. It was un-normal but the parents liked how it was. It made the young colt different than the others. The young filly had a light gray coat but a blond mane. The parents thought it was very beautiful.
As a few mouths pass and the nurse and doctors kept an eye on the young colt's and filly’s in the caring room. One day one of the nurses that was going to keep eye on the young colts and filly’s. As they sleep she decided to take a nap for a few minutes. The young darken coated colt woke up early as the nurse was sleeping He decided to go on an adventure on his own. So he got out of his crib and flew to the door slowly. He didn’t know how to open the door at first but he tries to remember how the others open and close the doors so he pushed the door . The handle was not all the way closed so the door opens. The young colt feeling happy about what he has done he went and flew out of the hospital and into the woods.
After a long time to flying and walking; he is very tired and hungry. The young colt finds a town far from Ponyville. A nice young couple found him tired and hungry from there daily walks around the town. They took the young colt to be there kid. They didn’t see him before around and he does not look like anypony in the town. They decided to raise the colt as there’s till his parents find him.
Over a few years the colt was old enough to attend school. The couple worried about the young colt, because his eyes stared to change. They are not normal, one looked one way and the other eye looked the other way. The couple was thinking about teaching him there self but they had no time to teach the colt. They decided to let him go to the school. When he arrived at school all the filly’s and colt’s look at him. They wondered and whispered to each other asking why his eyes are like that. During the day he wouldn’t talk to anypony in his class.
At lunch he would have his normal muffin and apples. At play time he would sit next to the maple tree that’s not near the others. He wonders every day if he is really from here. All the other ponies are unicorns but his ‘parents’. They are earth ponies. He has not seen a pony like him. Nopony has wings like him. He felt alone every day. No pony wanted to talk to him, which made him feel worst. One day the school is going go to a field trip to Canterlot. The young colt wanted to go but he didn’t want anypony make fun of him more. When he got home he asked his ‘parents’ if he may stay home that day but they said they won’t be home that day so he has to go to the field trip.
The day comes to the field trip. The young colt walks onto the train and sits on the first seat next to the teacher. He watches the outside pass him by getting closer and closer to Canterlot. The teacher asks him what is wrong and the colt just looks at the teacher and looks away. When the train stops at Canterlot the dark coated colt walks out and looks around seeing unicorns, earth ponies, and Pegasus. He looks around in wonder. His mind wonders and tells him to look around so the colt starts to fly off away from the teacher and other ponies. He sees pretty dresses and slick suits.
When his mind comes back to the real world he finds himself lost in Canterlot. He walks around with his ears down scared and lost. After a few minutes of wondering Canterlot for about an hour he comes across one of the guards that are guarding the museum for the night. He looked down at the colt and asked ‘where are you supposed to be today colt’. The colt just looks at the guard without saying anything and put his head down. The guard is wondering what to do so he takes his helmet off with his blue mane unravels down. He gets on his knees getting head level with the little colt. ‘It’s ok you can talk to me I won’t bite. You can talk to me, its ok.’ The little colt looks at him and talks to someone else then this ‘parents’. ‘I… I am lost…’ the colt says with a tear started to form in his eyes. ‘I… I just want to go home…’ the guard ask ‘do you know where your mom and dad is?’ the little colt sits down tearing. ‘… No…’ the guard tells the little colt to sit with him as he guards the museum so when his shift is over he will take him to Celestia to see what she can do.
As the night gets late the little colt gets tired. As the end of the guards shift he sees the young colt fast asleep. So he decided to pick the colt up and take him to his house to sleep. When the guard gets to his house he rests the tired colt on a soft bed and tucks him into bed. As the guard takes his armor off and sets it ready for the next day he gets a snack and lay on the couch. When he finishes his snack he falls asleep.
When the guard wakes up he hears a loud bang and clang from the kitchen. The guard runs to the kitchen seeing the colt surrounded by pots and pans, the little colt says as he tears ‘I was trying to make something to eat, but I don’t know what went wrong…’ he sits and cries with his ears down. The guard picks up all the pots and pans. He tells the little colt ‘its ok you don’t have to cry.’ As he calms down the colt he starts to cook the colt something to eat as he sits at the table in the kitchen. The guard gives the colt the food. He eats the food and just sits. ‘Was it good?’ ask the guard to the colt. ‘… Yes…’ he tries not to looks at him as the guard takes the plate and cup to wash them.
The guard looks back seeing the colt looking outside the window. The guard asks the colt ‘do you want to go see Clestia?’ the colt says with a wimpier ‘… what is she does not like me… I’m not like any otherpony… my eyes are different… my voice it different… no pony likes me…’ the guard tells him as he walks to him ‘it’s ok. I was like you before. I didn’t have much friends myself but I didn’t let it take me down, come on lets go to Clestia now.’
The guard suits up in his gold shiny armor and tells the colt to follow him as he walks to the thrown to Clestia. The guard asks Clestia if he can talk to her with the colt. Clestia reply ‘I’m always open to talk’ the guard says ‘I found this colt wondering around Canterlot and I thought it would be good to take him to you and see what you can do.’ Clestia smiles and get on her knees so she can get head level with the colt. The colt looks down and lowers his ears scared. Clestia tells him ‘its ok, your safe here. Don’t worry you can tell me anything. I’m here to help you.’ The colt looks up; looking at Clestia he says ‘I’m far from home… I want to be home… I’m scared…’ Clestia tells him as she stands up ‘do you know here you live? I’ll take you home.’ The young colt tells her where he lives. Clestia gathers a few guards to take them there.
When the guards take off with Clestia and the colt, he looks back seeing the guard that helped him out and waved at him saying good bye, the guard waves back. As the two Pegasus guards fly throw the clouds the young colt smiles as he looks down to the ground watching it move under him. He was thinking how lovely the clouds and the ground looked as they flew to the town.
When guards landed at the house with the couple that took him in as there kid. The two ponies walked out seeing Clestia and the little colt smiling happy to see his ‘parents’. Clestia told them ‘You two are lucky one of my guards found him wondering around Canterlot.’ the couple holding and tearing. ‘Thank you Clestia, we are happy you found him.’ Clestia says ‘its ok, he’s a cute colt. You’re lucky to have kid like him.’ As the couple tears holding the little colt they tell Clestia ‘He’s not our kid. We found him years ago wondering around in the woods and we didn’t think anypony here was his parents so we decided to raise him as ours.’ Clestia tells them ‘well he lucky you two found him. He seems to like to wonder around. You might want to keep a closer eye on him.’
The colt was too happy to hear what they are talking about all he can do is hold his ‘mom’ tearing in happiness. As they talk for a few minutes the colt starts to calm down and Clestia fly’s off with the guards. The colt walks to bed after a long day he falls asleep in his bed. A few weeks pass and he remembers what Clestia and his ‘parents’ where talking about. He talks to his ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ that are reading a few books. ‘Mom… Dad…’ they reply asking what’s going on. ‘Well I remember what you and Clestia where talking about… are you not my real mom and dad…’ the ‘dad’ gets up and holds him. ‘I’m sorry but we are not your mom and dad… we found you wondering around the woods. You were a baby colt when we found you…’ the ‘dad’ holds the colt. ‘Is that why I’m not like every otherpony… is this why my eye and voice is different… Is it why I have wings and no otherpony has wings…’ the colt starts to cry and lowers his ears.
The ‘mom’ comes over and hold the little colt with the ‘dad’ and tell him in a soft voice ‘even if you’re not ours we love you and we will always love you no matter what is wrong with you…’ the couple are tearing and holding the colt. After about a half an hour the ‘mom’ ask the colt ‘cheer up… I’ll make you your favorite muffins you like… will that make you feel better?’ the colt nods and wipes his tears.
A few weeks pass by and the colt is in school. The colt sitting in a desk on the other side of the room he looks at his paper that has random drawling, the play time bell rings. As all the colts and filly’s run out to play, the colt starts to walk to his spot under the maple tree. He starts to nod off to the steady sound of all the leafs running around on the ground. His eyes get heavy and start to shut. He rests his head on his hooves and all of a sudden he wakes up to a red ball with a yellow stripe on it. ‘Can you throw that back to us?’ a red pony with a gray mane asks. ‘Ye… Yea…’ he gently kicks the ball to the pony and it does not quite get to the pony. ‘Hey why don’t you join us?’ ask by the red pony. ‘I though no pony likes me…’ the red pony walks to him with a smile ‘Why wouldn’t we like you? Because you’re different from us? We thought you didn’t like us because you always walk to the maple tree every play time. Come and play with us.’
The dark coated colt started to stand up and go to the red pony. At the end of the play time all the little fillies and colt’s go back to class. When the day ends the dark coated colt walks home. After a few years the dark coated colt with the black and white mane is old enough to go out and live by himself. So he starts off into the woods he first came to the town. He ends back up in Ponyville. He finds a house that is near the end of Ponyville and moves in.
A few days later he misses the old maple tree he always sat next to everyday. He decided that he will go out and plant a maple tree in his yard. He packs a few things up to go find a small maple sapling to plant in his yard. As he wonders around for a sapling he finds one and he picks it up gently. He puts it safely into his bag. He gets ready to fly and jumps off.
All of a sudden he gets hit by another pony flying and they both fall down. A few minutes later he wakes up seeing muffins all over the floor and another Pegasus lying down. He gets up and looks at the other Pegasus’s. She wakes up and her eyes are the same as his. He looks at her and she looks at him. After a few minutes of looking at each other they both look down and see the muffins all over. ‘My Muffins!’ they both say picking up muffins. They grab the last muffin and they end up looking at each other again. The girl smiles saying ‘hello.’ Smiling ‘my name is Derpy Hooves.’ he looks at her.
As she waits for him to reply he sit there looking at her beautiful, shiny, soft blond mane I remain speechless. ‘… Your eyes are like mine… You’re a Pegasus… and gray…’ they sit down and look deep into each other with the one muffin between them. They sit without one word. He breaks the quietness ‘... My... My name is Dizzy Paws…’
