This was a fanfic that I've kept to myself for a long time, but I thought I'd publish it now. A little intro for you guys:

Starswirl had just perfected his amniomorphic spell and had transferred the spell's essence to a potion when Celestia knocked on the door of his chamber. "Starswirl? Are you in there?" The young mare asked, not yet a princess, asked. Startled by the sudden appearance of the King and Queen's oldest daughter, he fell onto the floor, along with the essence in the bottle. It crashed to the floor causing Celestia to barge in. "Starswirl, are you–" she covered her mouth with her hoof. The creature lying in front of her was Starswirl.. But not exactly in the same form.
