It was a peaceful evening in Ponyville. Everypony was finishing up their jobs for the day. This was perfect for one pony. This pony’s name is Neon Dash. Neon Dash was a bright blue pegasus. He had blue eyes and his mane was a regular blue colour with bits of neon blue at the end. His cutie mark was a peculiar shaped, bright blue line. He loved it at night time because his special talent was visible at night.
“Alright, time for my favourite thing of the day!” Neon Dash shouted out while he was around 300 ft in the sky.
“Look, just don’t fail it like the other times you have this week.” Said a nearby voice. Rainbow Dash, the one who inspired Neon to be fast was there.
“Rainbow Dash? What are you doing here? And how did you know that I've failed?”
“Do you know who you’re talking to? If I hear anything about or see anything to do with awesome flying, I'm there.” Rainbow replied.
“Thanks for coming to watch, I guess…”
“Enough talking, hurry up and do this! I'm getting bored!”
“Okay then” Neon says. Neon finds a smooth looking cloud to start from. He finds one about 10 ft from we he is. He flies up to the cloud, and gets into starting position.
“Okay Neon, I'm gonna say ‘3, 2, 1, GO!’ And when I do I want you to do this! Okay?”
“Yeah, ‘3, 2 ,1’. Got it!”
“Okay, 3, 2, 1...”
“Please hurry up” Neon whispers to himself.
Rainbow Dash shouts. “GO!” Neon rockets straight from the cloud and starts darting from cloud to cloud at an extremely ludicrous speed.
“C’mon just a bit faster.” Neon was starting to faintly glow blue. "Yes, It's happening!"
"You're doing great!" Rainbow shouts out to Neon as he starts to glow bright blue.
"Okay, I've gone from faint blue to bright blue. Now for neon blue." Neon says to himself. Neon was excited he hasn't pulled this off since 3 years ago. Suddenly however, his wing has some sort of spasm. "No, no, no!" he shouts out as he starts to fall. Luckily, he was only around 20 ft above the ground when his wings started to twitch. He falls to the ground and lands on top of somepony. He landed on top of a grey pegasus with a green mane.
"Ouch." The pegasus said as it gets crushed by Neon.
"Oops, sorry about that, I'm just gonna go. You should be fine..." Neon runs off away from the pegasus.
"Hey, get back here you klutz!" The pegasus shouted at Neon. "Oh, buck it. I need to move these supplies to the factory."
"I should have at least checked if that pony was okay." Neon says to himself. "I could've helped with whatever that pony was carrying. A simple apology feels like it wasn't enough."
"Hey, Neon you okay?" A voice spoke from above. It was Rainbow. "What happened? I thought you had it." She says as she descends to the ground.
"I really don't know. I think my muscles had some sort of spasm or something."
"You probably tired yourself out from all the work you've been doing. Don't worry it happens to the best of us." Rainbow says.
"Yeah, I think I'll take a break for the week."
"Once you're ready, let me know."
"Sure, I guess it'll be nice for Lyra as well. She hasn't seen much of me in the evenings for a while now."
"Okay then, see ya!"
"See you around Rainbow." They both start to walk to their respective houses until Rainbow remembers something.
"Oh, Neon wait a sec!"
"What is it Rainbow?" Neon asks.
"When you fell, why were you over here where I found you and not over where you crashed?"
"Oh, that. I landed on somepony and he didn't look happy about it. I said sorry and ran away. He then called me a 'Klutz' and I'm pretty sure I heard him say 'Buck'."
"He said 'Buck'? This pony, he wasn't a grey pegasus with a green mane was he?" Rainbow asks.
"Yeah he was, how did you know that?"
"Don't worry, I'm just gonna have to talk a certain somepony when he comes home."
"Wait, you live with him?"
"Yeah... Just don't worry about it, you should go home to Lyra." Neon did exactly that.
"Lyra, I'm home!"
"Hi Neon, you're home early." Lyra replies as she opens the living room door for neon.
"Yeah, I fell when trying out my move I've been trying to do."
Lyra gasped. "Are you okay? You weren't hurt were you?"
"Nah, I'm fine. But I don't think it's a good idea for me to try that move until I've got some good rest. So I'm gonna be here with you in the evenings for a week. We'll be able to do stuff together all week. Except tonight. I think I'm gonna go hit the hay for now."
"Okay then. Goodnight."
"G'night." Neon replied as he walked up the stairs to go to his bedroom. Before he went to bed he noticed a picture of him and Lyra. He says to himself "Man, this week is gonna be great." He turns the lamp off and gets in bed to go to sleep. A light in the room suddenly turns on.
"Sorry, I didn't wake you did I?" A voice says. It was Lyra.
"Nah, I only just got into bed." Neon replies.
"Okay, I was just coming up to bed too. I have a small concert to go to. I was offered to go play the lyre at 4:30 tomorrow at the town hall."
"Cool, I'll definitely be going."
"Thanks, goodnight then" Lyra says as she gets into bed.
"Goodnight." They both start to drift off to sleep until they are woken up by the sound of knocking.
