Where Magic Awakens Darkness in Canterlot High

As William, Twilight, Sunset, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash landed on the ground slowly and gracefully, William seemed to lose his wings instantly, smiling as he fell to his knees, laughing as streams of magic, each colored to it's rightful wielder, returned to the bodies of Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and lastly, Sunset Shimmer.

“Uh, Twilight? Is he gonna to be alright?” Applejack said, pointing to William as he seemed to be going insane, crying as well, but still smiling.

“Gee, that William guy sure seems happy, but sad. Why are you sad?” Pinkie asked, confused like all the rest around him, the students who watched from afar and faculty who did as well in awe at this boy.

“I’m finally free from that torment of fear, finally able to make friends without having to check my back for a lie. I’m finally at peace, and I’m so happy…” William said with tears, sniffling as he wiped his face, sighing as he looked at all of them. “Thank you, all of you. I don’t know what happened with us, but you know what? I can see everything clear now.” And he could, the skin colors, the differences between each and every person here, he could see it all now; such diversity, and such uniqueness among every person, with no social conformities able to be seen. “But  I did ruin the party, so I guess I should take my leave.” William said as he sighed, looking at the girls who had practically just helped him save himself. “By the way, name’s William. I’m about a block down from the coffee shop if you peeps ever need to see me.” He said.

“Well, I’m Pinkie Pie!” She said, smiling as she took his hand and rapidly shook.

“Applejack, pleased to meetcha partner.” Applejack said with a nod to William.

“Well,” Sunset Shimmer shrugged, “I will have to talk to you about how to fit in now, because I had the same thing happen. Kind of,” She said, looking to William. “Would it be alright if I walked with you, or would that be uncomfortable?”

“I’ll be willing to listen, I just have to finish unpacking, so that’ll be a concern. Besides, I’m just gonna tell my mom it’s been one crazy day,” William said as he looked back at his new friends.

“Will we see you again?” Fluttershy asked.

“Definitely, because frankly, I finally found a place where I’m happy,” William answered, sighing as he put his hands in his pockets, nodding to them all. “Take care, each and every one of you.” William said, turning his head around as he began to walk down the street, Sunset Shimmer running for a second to catch up as the two began to talk.

Yep, thought William, definitely a great place to be.
