When the Hooves of Fire, a popular rock band, comes to town, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle decide that to get their long-awaited cutie marks, they should learn more about the life as a rock band during their summer vacation. Turns out they get way more than they bargained for, when they are sent to follow the Hooves of Fire as they record albums, go on tours, film movies, become controversial, and eventually have a conflict large enough to drive the band apart. With this, the CMCs discover that the life of a rock band isn't all fun and games…
