Chapter 1
Prologue
In the year 750 PC (post Concordiam) Celestia with the help of the other nations of Mythos created a joint task force called Slicers. Their job is to do missions that are deemed too dangerous for any one military.
Chapter one
Ponyvile 1002 PC
At Ponyvile station, A Stallion with navy blue fur and a red mane, he had an orange flame as his cutie mark, he also had a scar going down the right side of his face.
He walks off the train hoping he wouldn’t be noticed. He was a no one, he only cares about his brother, his foster family and his eight “Brothers and Sisters” that he serves with.
He made his way to his old home. He felt that something was different here. Not like how it was when he left two years ago.  He kept walking towards his old house aware that someone was fallowing him.
“Will you stop fallowing me” He said turning around to see a Pink mare looking at him.
   “Well you totally left before I was able to say hi to you at the train station.” She said.
“Why does it matter to you?” He said.
“Because I’m going to throw you a party!” She said.
“No.” He said starting to walk again.
“c’mon! I throw all new ponies a party.” She said fallowing him. “If I don’t than my name isn’t Pinkie Pie.”
“Look.” He said. “I don’t care. There are plenty of other ponies that would love a party.”
“Well at least tell me your name.” She said.
“Alright.” He said sighing. “The name is…”
“Flash?” a young earth pony colt with red fur and a blue mane said. “Is that you?”
Flash looked at the colt. “Solar Flare.” He said before hugging the colt. “Good to see you brother.”
“ OHmygoshyourSolar’sbrother?Ihavetothrowyouawelcomehomepartynow.” Pinkie said speaking really fast to the point no one could understand her.
“What did she just say?” Flash said. “Slow down.”
“I said” pinkie pie said. “Now I have to throw you a welcome home party.”
“You don’t need to.” Solar said before hitting Flash. “I hope I don’t see you again Flash.” Solar runs off with tears in his eyes.
“I deserved that.” Flash said. “Haven’t been around for him in the past two years.” Flash starts to walk again.  When he turns around he notices that Pinkie wasn’t fallowing him.  ‘Well at least I got rid of that freak.’ He thought to himself
He finally made it back to his old home. “What the tarterous!” He said seeing that his home was destroyed. “What happened while I was gone?”
“Ohh so that was your home.” Pinkie Pie said appearing out of nowhere. “It was destroyed when Twilight fought against Tirek.”
“When did you show up.” Flash said.
“I never left! I just gave you some space.” She said. “I’m really sorry about Solar.”
“Well what can I expect when I never wrote to him in the past two years.” Flash said.
“So then, about your party.” She said.
“You aren’t going to drop that. Are you?” He said.
“Nope.” She said with a smile on her face. “It’s my duty to throw a party to every new or returning ponyvile resident.
“I’m sorry but…” He said. “I’m just not into parties. Never have been.”  He looks Pinkie pie in the eyes and sighs. “If it’ll make you get off my back I guess I’ll allow it this once.”
Pinkie Pie jumped in joy. “Owe you won’t regret it mister grumpy pants.”
“Grumpy pants?” he said. “Please just call me Flash Fire.”
Flash started to walk away. “Where are you going?” Pinkie said.
“To find a place to sleep.” Flash answered. Flash unknowing dropped a medallion with a cross and four diamonds on it. Pinkie picks it up.
“Hey Flashy.” She said. She looked up and saw that flash was gone.
     ‘Alright.’ Flash thought to himself as he walked through ponyvile. ‘I have to find a place to sleep. I could always go to my foster family’s
house”. Flash shakes his head. ‘No if Solar acted like that then I bet the others would act the same way. I could just stay in a hotel. Yeah that’ll work.’ As he was thinking to himself he wasn’t paying attention to where he was walking.  He ended up walking into a mare.
“I’m so sorry.” Flash said he looked at her. “Dusk?” he said looking at the Mare, she was a near perfect version of a friend of his. “I didn’t know you went that way, Gaina will be disappointed.” She looked at him. She had lavender collard Alicorn with a purple mane.
“Did you just call me a colt?” She said looking at him “That is disrespectful.” She yelled at him
“Sorry.” Flash said. “You just look like a friend of mine.” Flash walks away.
“Come back here!” Twilight said chasing after him.
“Look.” Flash said. “I am so sorry.”
“Did you call me Dusk?” She asked
“Yeah.” Flash said.
“As in Dusk Shine?” She said. “My twin brother.”
“You’re Twilight?” He said dumbfounded. “Dusk told me a lot about you.”
“Really…” Twilight said “I haven’t heard from Dusk in two years.”
“Well howdy Twilight.” An orange mare said. As soon as Flash heard that voice he started looking for a way out of there.
“Well it’s been fun chatting Twilight, but I have to go.” Flash said.  Before he could go Pinkie pie shows up.
“There you are Flashy.” Pinkie said. “You dropped this.” She handed him the Medallion.
The orange mare walks up to them. “Who’s your friend Twilight….” She looks at Flash. “You.” She hits Flash. “That’s for not writing to us you self-centered son of a female dog.”
“Apple Jack?” Twilight said. “How Do you know him.”
“Well.” Pinkie said. “You know that Solar flare lives with the apple Family.”
“Yes.” Twilight said.  “What about him.”
“Well Flashy is Solar’s brother.” Apple Jack.
“Owe.” Twilight said.
“Well I’m leaving.” Flash said taking the medallion. “Forget about the party Pink, I’m not welcomed here.”
“Wait.” Twilight said. Flash didn’t listen and kept walking
3 hours later
Flash found a three story Inn to spend the night in. He heard the door knock.
“Come in.” He said. Apple Jack walked in.
“I’m sorry about earlier.” Apple Jack said.
“Don’t mention it.” Flash said.
“So where have you been.” Apple Jack said.
“Classified.” Flash said. “Let’s just say I’ve been everywhere.”
“Instead of this rundown Motel.” Appel Jack said. “You can come with me. My place is better than this.”
   “I would…” Flash said. He felt like something was off about Apple Jack.
“You know what just give me that here medallion and…” All of a sudden Apple Jack burst into flames.
“You know.” Flash said. “You almost had me, but why would Apple Jack care about a medallion or have her own place.”
Fake Apple Jack laughs.  “Wow your good Flame Slicer.”  Fake Apple Jack turns into a black stallion. “The names Invidia.”
“You don’t look like a changeling….” Flash said. “How the hell did you survive my attack!?”
“You call that an attack.” Invidia turns into Flash. “Well anyways give me that medallion or die. Like the rest of your squad.” He said perfectly replicating flash’s voice.
“What?” Flash said. “Their dead?” Tears started running down Flashes Forehead.
“Give me the Medallion and I’ll.” Invidia bursts into flames again. “You bastard.”
“I’m going to Buckin kill you now.” Flash said.
“You can’t kill me.” Invida said. His wounds healed quickly. “I can’t be killed. Let alone from a mere pony like you.”  Invidia fires a ball of fire at flash. Flash was able to absorb the fire threw his horn. “So that’s why they call you the Flame Slicer. You not only able to create fire, you’re able to extinguish it. This should be fun!”
Flash fires a ball of fire at Invidia. Invidia absorbs it. “How?” Flash said.
“You thought me!” Invidia said with an evil grin on his face. “When I turn into the form of another pony, or other sentient being. I’m able to learn abilities from watching said being. Now then what was that move you used in the beginning?
“Shit.” Flash quickly jumped out of the way as fire appeared where he was at.  Flash fired eight balls of fire at his double ganger. Invidia absorbed the attack and fired.
Outside the Inn. Twilight, Apple Jack, and Solar were walking to the Inn
“All I’m saying.” Twilight said. “Is that Flash seemed a little depressed after you both rejected him.”
“Yeah I know. I was a little out of line.” Apple Jack said.
“The bastard deserved it.” Solar said. “He thinks he can just show up in our lives after two years of being away.”
The right side of the third story of the Inn blows up.
“What in Tarnations.” Apple Jack said.
Two Ponies that looked like they were on fire where running down the side of the building. Both of them kept clashing into each other.
“That’s Fire magic.” Twilight said. “By the looks of it, it’s advanced fire magic.”
Both of the flame ponies keep clashing with each other. After a good five minutes both of the ponies stop roughly twelve feet from each other.
“Flash?” Apple Jack said seeing double of her older foster brother.
The Flash on the right was breathing heavily. The one on the left was barley sweating.  “Why are there two of them?”  Twilight said.
   “Owe man.” The one on the left said while laughing. “I’m actually sweating. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Flame Slicer.”
“Flame Slicer?” Twilight and Apple Jack said. Both of them looked at each other.
“But you know what.” Invina said turning back to his original form. “I’ll kill you with my “own” hoofs.”
   “Fine by me.” Flash said. Flash tries to create a fire ball but is unable to.
“Owe my.” Invina said. “You can’t activate your fire magic pitty.”
‘Buck’ Flash thought. ‘I’m too worn out to use magic.’ Flash runs at Invina.
Invina doges the attack and hits Flash with his foreleg.  “Now now don’t overdo yourself. Just give me the medallion and I’ll let you live.”  Flash tries to hit him again. “Fine.” Inivina turns back into Flash. “I’ll give you some incentive. I’ll kill…” He looks at Solar Flare. “Your brother.”
Flash gets up “Don’t you bucking dare.”
Invina shakes his head. “I gave you a chance.”
“Solar Run!” Flash yelled. he said it too late as Solar bursts into flames.
Solar screams as he gets burned alive. Flash falls to the ground with his spirit broken and tears in his eyes.
Apple Jack has a hoof over her mouth as well as crying.
Solar finally stops screaming.  All that was left of him was ash.
“You Bastard!” Apple Jack said. Running towards Invina.
   “Stay back AJ” Flash says his eyes were red. “I don’t want to lose my sister as well.”
“So Slicer are you going to give me the medallion or am I going to have to kill another pony.” Invina said. Flash gives him the Medallion
“I am going to kill you.” Flash said.
“I’d like to see you try.” Invina said before disappearing.
Flash falls down again. This time he losses consciousness.

                         Chapter 2

Chapter 2
The next day
Flash woke up in a hospital room. “Buck.” Flash said. “Nurse.”  No one came. Flash rested his head. He started to cry again. “I’m sorry Solar. I should have never come back.”
“Well Ya did.” Apple Jack said walking to his bed. “Now your brother is dead.”
“I know that!” Flash said. “Look as soon as I recover I’ll be out of your mane. The little contact we have the better.”
“No you ain’t. Not without me.” Apple Jack said. “Solar was my brother as well. We might have not been blood but he was family.”
   “You damn mare.” Flash said. “It’s too dangerous.”
“I don’t care!” She yelled back.
Twilight entered the room. “I’ve been looking into you Flash Fire aka the Flame Slicer.”
“Well that’s a first time a mare ever said that.” Flash said.
“I know about Slicers.” Twilight said. “You guys deal in dangerous missions all over Mythos.”
“How did you get this information?” Flash said.  “Last I checked it’s classified.”
“I’m a princess.” Twilight said.
“Of course you are.” Flash said. “ I should of figured that, especially since you’re an alicorn. You both aren’t coming along.”
“Yeah we are.” Twilight said. “Last I checked you owed nearly a thousand bits in damages to the Inn. As well as arsin charges. We either help you are you go to jail.”
“Fine.” He said. “If Invida lied then my team should still be alive.” Flash said. “The first thing we should do is find out if they’re alive.”
“Where do we start?” Twilight said.
“Do you have a world map?” Flash asked.
“Apple Jack.” Twilight said. “There’s a map in the castle can you get it.”
“Yeah.” Apple jack said leaving them.
  “So this is how you know Dusk?” Twilight said. “He’s a slicer isn’t he?”
“Yeah, You’re brother is a close friend of mine.” Flash said. “I actually consider him family.”
"That’s good to know.” Twilight said. “So that scar” She said looking at his face. “What happened?”
“I was being a dumbass.” Flash said. “I got this scar shortly after me and Solar moved in with the Apple Family.”
“Owe I thought you might of got it during your time as a slicer.” Twilight said.
“Nope.” He said. “Farming accident. I’m lucky I didn’t end up blind.”
“I’m sorry.” Twilight said. “But I have to ask you’re a unicorn, but Solar was an earth pony. How is that possible?”
“Well twilight.” Flash said with a bit of sarcasm. “When a mommy pony and a daddy pony love each other so much…”
“You know what I mean!” Twilight said with a deadpan look on her face.
“My mom was a unicorn, my dad was an earth pony.” Flash said. “I inherited my mom’s race, and my father’s strength.  Solar inherited my Father’s race, and my mom’s kindness.
“That makes since I guess. Final question. What was that medallion for?” Twilight said.
“I don’t know.” Flash said. “During are last mission we found the medallion. I was tasked to keep it.”
They heard the door open.
“Good Apple Jack your back.” Twilight said. She turned around and saw that it was a male zebra that walked into the room.  He was a little taller than flash. He was more muscular as well.
“Hercule.” Flash said.
“Flash.” He said
“You know him.” Twilight said looking at flash. “Are you alright?” Flash looked pale.
“If you’re here than…” Flash got out of the bed quickly. “I got to….”
“NOT SO FAST!” a Feminine voiced said.
“Who was that?” Twilight said as a female zebra walks into the room.
She walks over to Flash and puts her hooves onto his neck. “What kind of idiot are you!” She yelled. “We leave you for one day and you not only destroyed an inn but also ended up in a hospital.” She let go of Flash’s neck.  She then wraps her forehooves around Flash’s body. “Still it’s great to see you Flash.” She then looks over at Twilight. “Dusk? No it can’t be… You’re his sister Twilight.” She said.
“Well at least one of you can tell the deference.” Twilight said glaring at Flash. “He basically called me a colt when we first met.”
That made the female Zebra glare at Flash. “Hasn’t your mother ever taught you to treat a Mare nice.” She then looks at twilight. “Please excuse the idiot.”
“So Flash.” The female zebra said. “What happened?”
Flash looks away from her. "His brother was killed in front of him.” Twilight said.
“What!” The Female Zebra said. “Flash I’m so sorry.”
"The guy knew who I was and who my family was.” Flash said.
“How, are identities are top secret?” She said.
“I think someone in charge is working with him.” Flash said. “Xana, Hercule.” He said looking at the Zebras. “Can you guys help me track down my brother’s killer?”
“Why are you asking us?” Xana said. “You know the answer to that question.”
“This isn’t going to be like our regular missions Xana,” Flash said. “We don’t know who to trust.”
“Why are you asking us?” Hercule said. “Of course we’ll help you.”
The door opened again. "Sorry it took so long…” Apple Jack said. “Who are these people?”
“We can ask you the same question girl.” Xana said. “Who is she Flash?”
“My sister Apple Jack.” Flash said. Flash turned to Apple Jack. “Do you have the map.”
“Yes ah do.” She said. She gave the map to Flash. She also threw Flash a pin. “So who are they Flash?”
“The Alchemic Slicer, and Her husband.” Flash said.
“You can call me Xana, and this hunk of a stallion is Hercule.” Xana said. “Come on Flash if Twilight knows who I am you might as well tell her too.”
“So Flash.” Twilight said. “Where are we going?”
“Canterlot first.” Flash said. “We need to check on Dusk and Gaina. After words we go to los Pegasus and Appelanta. After words we leave Equstria. ”
“That’s the second time you mentioned her.” Twilight said referring to Gaina. “Who is she?”
“Well….” Flash was thinking. “I’ll let Dusk tell you.”
Canterlot a day ago
A male Lavender Unicorn with a short dark purple mane with a shooting star cutie mark was walking with a female Griffon
“I’m so happy.” The Griffon said.
“Don’t get too excited.” The Unicorn said. “My parents really don’t care for me.”
“What do you mean?” The Griffon said. “Your one of the most honorable ponies I know.”
“Well.” Dusk said. “I’m not captain of the Royal Guard like my brother, or bunking royalty like my sister. I’m just a good for nothing slacker to them.”
“Right. You’re a slacker who has saved Mythos twice now?” The Griffion said. “Snap out of your self pity Dusk.”
“That’s why I love you Gaina.” Dusk said. Dusk then kisses Gaina. “And that’s why I’ll be proud to call you my wife.”
“My… My, what a cute couple.” A Mare said walking towards them. She had all the features that would make any stallion want her. She had Black fur and a long black mane. Accompanied with her was a fat stallion. Both of them had what looked like a snake eating itself and a star in the middle of it cutie marks.
“Who are you?” Dusk said He looked around and saw that there wasn’t any other pony near them.
“Well colt” She said licking her top lip. “My names Cupido. If you dump that Griffon I’ll allow you to have me.”
“Sorry Cupido,” Dusk said. “I’m a one mate pony.”
“Cupido” The fat one said. “I’m hungry.”
“Go on Gulie.” Cupido said. “You can eat the griffon.”
Gulie run towards Gaina. Both Gaina and Dusk jump in opposite directions.
“Give us the Medallion and I’ll let you both live.” Cupido said.
“What medallion.” Dusk said.
  “Owe well. You were cute.” She said. Her hair moves upwards then flies towards Dusk.
Dusk’s eyes turn green as a wall appears in front of him. Her needle like hair is stopped by the wall.
“Should I have expected less from the Ruin Slicer?” She said. “But that magic won’t help you.”
“Owe yeah.” Dusk said.  Dusk fires a missile at Cupido. It tears open Cupido’s forehead.
“Now then.” Dusk said. He looked and saw that Gaina was hitting Gulie.
“Stay still.” Gulie said.
“Any time Dusk.” Gaina said.
“I’m on…” Dusk sad.  Dusk feels something penetrate his right foreleg and the right side of his chest barely missing his heart. “What the.”
“My, is that anyway to treat a Mare” Cupido said. She was completely healed.
Dusk starts spitting up blood.
“Dusk!” Gaina said. Before Gaina was able to retrieve Dusk, Gulie was able to get a hold of her.
“Let go!” Gaina said. Gulie bites off Gaina’s Right talon. Gaina screams.  Gulie then rips Gaina's throat out. Blood gushes everywhere.
“No…” Dusk closes his eyes.
After Gulie eats Gaina it looks at Dusk. “Can I eat him too?” Gulie said with Gaina’s blood dripping off his mouth.
“No.” Cupido said looking at Dusk. “He’s going to send the other Slicers a message.”
Next day Canterlot Medical
Dusk wakes up screaming.Where am I?”
An Earth pony walks up to him. “Good you’re awake.”
“What happened?” Dusk said.
“A mare brought you in yesterday.” The Doctor said. “You’re lucky to be alive. Mind telling me what happened.”
“Ahh.” Dusk said. “Me and my marefriend I guess where on are way to my parent’s house. We were mugged.” Then it him.  “My marefriend she’s a griffon is she alright.”
“I’m sorry.” He said. “There wasn’t a griffon with you.”
Tears where forming in dusk’s eyes.  “I understand.” Dusk said.
Dusk just realized something. “Why can’t I feel my right foreleg?” Dusk looks over to see that instead of his foreleg there was a stomp. “What Happened!!!?”
“You’re right foreleg was too badly damaged. We had to cut it off.”  The Doctor said.  Dusk didn’t say anything. “I’ll check on you later.” The doctor said.
The doctor leaves. I lost everything.” Dusk said under his breath.
Twelve hours later
“Well buck.” Somepony said.  Dusk looked over and saw that Flash Fire walked in.
“Flash?” He said. “Thank Celestia your alive.” Dusk tried to get up. “What are you doing here?”
“What?” Flash said. “Can’t a guy just talk to his friend?”
“Someone tried to attack you right.” Dusk said seeing threw Flash’s bullshit remark.
“Where’s Gaina.” Flash said. “If you lost a foreleg then.” Then it hits him. “Celestia no.”
“She was eaten alive Flash.” Floodgates opened up in Dusk’s eyes. “We’re attacked by two unknown beings. And I mean unknown, they might have looked like ponies but they weren’t. I blew a hole through one of them and they…”
“Regenerated.” Flash said finishing his sentence. “I dealt with the same thing. I burned the damn thing twice and it was unharmed…. It killed Solar.”
“Owe Celestia.” Dusk said. “I’m so sorry Flash.”
“I’m going after the bastards behind this.” Flash said whipping a tear from his eye. “You in?”
“Buck yeah.” Dusk said, “ Though we might have a problem.” He said as he tried to move a stomp of a foreleg.
“ Wasn’t Night working on The Men From North’s Technology?” Flash asked. “I belive he said he could create an abiotic foreleg.”
“ Let’s ask him.” Dusk said. “ So who all is going to be in this crusade.”
“Us,” Flash said. “Xana and Hercule, Hopefully Night, Silver, Steel Arm, Weyland, and John if they’re still alive.” Flash then chose his next wisely. “Apple Jack.”
“Your foster sister?” Dusk said. “She isn’t a slicer. It’ll be too dangerous for her.
“As well as your sister….” Flash said looking away.
“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND!?” Dusk yelled.” She is defenitly in no condition to fight. She may have became an Alicorn but that doesn’t mean she can fight.”
“It was either she joined or I was thrown into prison.” Flash said. “I had no choice.”
“Fine, if she dies  I'm going to personally kick your plot.” Dusk said. “When do we start?”
