Cyber's P.O.V

"Were almost there guys." I say as I look up from my pipbuck. "Should be there in around half an hour."

"Good, I've had enough walking for one day." Treble said.

"Actually, it's been about a day and a half." Loose Screw responded.

"No one likes a smart ass." Dawnstar said without making any eye contact, he just continued looking forward.

We all chuckled as Loose Screw gave him an 'Are you fucking kidding me' kind of look as he just continued looking forward, although I have a feeling he was smiling under that helmet. Can admit though, I am having trouble figuring out Dawnstar's personality. Sure, we've only known him for around an hour, if that, but usually it's pretty easy to figure that out. He is definitely a very straight forward kind of...machine? I really still don't know. All I knew abut his species was that he wasn't a pony, not much else. It would be nice to see him without all that armor on. It would have also been nice if the Stable's schools would have taught us about species other then domestic animals and insects. The only intelligent species we were taught about were none other then ponies themselves. And shit, that brings the thought that even if we do figure out Dawnstar's species, it really wouldn't help because we don't know jack shit about it! Maybe we could at least figure out more about Dawnstar until we got to 'The Bunker'.

"So...uh...how old are you Dawnstar? You have to at least be able to tell us that." I said, looking up at him.

"25." He responded.

"So you were born and grew up in the wasteland." Treble asked.

"Yea...pretty ruff childhood. Got my first stab wound at the age of six, first bullet wound the next day." He responded. I think it was the first time I heard his voice change in pitch.

"So ponies still kill children here?" Treble asked in a concerned voice, I guess this surprised her.

"You guys new to the Wasteland or something?" He asked, as if we were stupid...and at this point, we kindove were.

"Well...yea. Were from the Stables. Just got out not even a week ago." I responded.

"Your kidding right?" He responded.

"Nope." I said.

"You mind telling me what your doing all the way out here then?" He asked.

"Were on a cash run for Clicks." Loose Screw said before I could get the words out.

Instead of a response, Dawnstar just stopped in his tracks and started to scan all of us. I wasn't liking the looks of this.

"What?" I asked.

"Please tell me that's a cruel joke...or you at least have a reason of doing his...bidding." He said, his voice was now deeper then usual.

"Um...were doing it for shelter. We get his money, he let's us live at his place." I nervously said, Treble and Loose Screw slowly stepping behind me. I had my shotgun battle saddle at the ready.

"You don't do anything else for him...do you?" He asked.

"No...just that...please tell me you have a valid reason to get mad about this." I said.

"He doesn't exactly have a great reputation in the wasteland. At least you don't have a choice, but you can." He said, looking right towards me.

"What do you mean?" Treble said from behind me.

"I have a place you guys could stay. But you aren't working for Clicks if you do." He said.

"Normally I would take that offer in a heartbeat Dawnstar, but I don't think Clicks is the kindove pony you should turn your back on." I said.

There was another pause, he was thinking.

"Tell you what Cyber, you finish this one job, and this one only, then you ditch Clicks and find me." Dawnstar said.

Shit...now I had this to think about. Do I go with Clicks, the psychotic, feared business pony. Or do I go with Dawnstar, an unknown seemingly friendly creature that we just met not even an hour ago. Son of a bitch...this is a surprisingly difficult thing to think about. Sure, if we go with Dawnstar we won't have to go around and get money from ponies, but I could run the risk of having the most feared and dangerous group in the wasteland on my ass if I do this. I needed a vote on this one. I turned to Treble and Loose Screw.

"I need a vote on this one guys. You all know what our choices are and the pros and cons of both. We can either go with Dawnstar or keep doing Clicks work. Dawnstar is definitely friendly and doesn't want us doing anything for him, but Clicks might come after us if we stop doing his jobs. If we go with Clicks, Dawnstar will leave us. Help me decide here guys." I said, then waiting for a response.

"I pick Dawnstar." Treble said. "I just plain don't like Clicks, he scares me."

"I don't think very many do like him babe. What about you Loose Screw, what's your vote on this?" I asked.

She was putting more thought into this then Treble as she was staring at the ground, kicking at the dirt, ash, and snow under her hooves as she was thinking.

"Dawnstar is definitely the better way to go. But I would at least finish this one job like Dawnstar said and then go with him." She said.

"So, we all go with Dawnstar then after we finish the job?" I asked.

"Yep." Treble and Loose Screw responded.

I turned back to Dawnstar.

"You heard it. We finish this, then come with you." I said to Dawnstar.

"Alright then. I won't be joining you for this job though. I won't have anything to do with Clicks and his dirty work." He said, sticking out his...claws?

This was the first time I actually saw his feet as the snow was usually covering them. His front legs were claws...could just be due to his armor though.

"You going to shake my paw or not?" He asked...he may have just given away some information on what he was, but again, really didn't have the room to be guessing his species.

"Yea...sorry. Just trying to figure out what you are." I said as I stuck out my hoof and shook his armored 'paw'.

He chuckled "Tell you what, you gu8ys make it back to my place and I might just show you what I am."

"Then you bet your ass we'll be making it back to your place." I laughed. "But uh...where exactly is your place?"

"Shit...my bad. Let me see your pipbuck." He asked.

I lifted my pipbuck to him. He somehow managed to use his giant 'paws' to scroll through the map on my pipbuck. He stopped around the upper left corner of the my pipbuck's map and set a custom compass marker, then released my pipbuck.

"Whenever your done, head there. I'll be waiting for you. Oh...and take this, you might need it for those close encounters." He said as he reached behind him and pulled a gun out of a pouch that even I didn't spot on his armor.

"It's some sort of fancy gun a found. Judging from your arsenal, you seem like the type to use something like this." He said as he handed it to me.

I grabbed it and levitated it over to observe it. It was the largest gun I had, that's for sure. It reminded me of the AK47 I found back at the barn in how it was built, but it did have some major differences. Instead of having that black frame with wooden stock and pistol grip, the whole entire thing was completely black with very detailed engraving throughout the whole gun. Instead of the thirty round magazine that my AK47 had, this one had a very large drum looking magazine that obviously held many more bullets. The barrel was also a few inches longer then the original. I also noticed that the stock had 'Black Rose' engraved on the side in very fancy writing. I gently put it on the ground and then looked up at Dawnstar.

"Are you seriously giving me this?" I asked.

"Yea." He responded.

"Why?" I said.

"I'm not a gun kind of guy. I was gonna sell it, but you could get some use out of it. Just take it." He said.

I looked down at the firearm. It was the nicest gun I have seen in the wasteland so far, and will more then likely be the only nice gun a see. The fact that he just gave it to me was shocking.

"Thanks Dawnstar. We'll be back at your place in a few days, you have my word on that." I said, shaking his ginormous paw once more as I levitated Black Rose into the same jury rigged sling my AK47 was on.

"I'll hold you to that," He said as he turned and began walking way from us. He was soon out of sight.

We all turned back towards the direction of the bunker and began walking.

"I'm glad we met him." Treble said.

"Likewise." Loose Screw said.

"Oh yeah...do any of you want this AK47, or should we sell it?" I said, levitating the gun in front of me.

"I'll sure as hell take it. We can sell this shitty sawed off shotgun you gave me." She said as she put the sawed off in her other saddle bag and took the AK out of my levitation grip. "Here, take the shells, don't need them anymore, you can use them in the shotgun on your battle saddle."

"Thanks." I said as I put the shells into my 'Weapons and ammo' saddle bag. Shit, I hope Black Rose has rounds in it. Otherwise I just gave all my 7.62 rounds to Loose Screw.

I pulled Black Rose out of the sling and waited for my pipbuck to pull up how many rounds I had for it. I was surprised to see how many I now had. So not only did Dawnstar give me a very special gun, but he also have it to me with a full, 60 round drum magazine.

"Holy shit." I said to myself.

"What?" Treble responded.

"Nothing, we just need to get this done with and get back to Dawnstar. Were not abandoning him." I said.

"Well were gonna get done a lot quicker then we thought, because were here." Loose Screw said.

At first I didn't believe her, but then I looked up and saw a very large door sticking out of the ground. Upon seeing this I was greeted with an alert on my pipbuck.
