Consumed, as always, by his studies. One day, he was sure, he would find the answer to the question he has spent his entire life researching. The question of unicornification was at the tip of his hooves, however, he was never able to find a way to turn himself into a unicorn successfully. He was sure that the answer was in one of these books, he just didn’t know which one. Digital Flicker was always a very isolated pony, he always thought that study and hard work was the way forward and not any pesky “friendship” concerns. There were someponies that called him the very incarnation of enmity, he never paid attention to those ponies. In truth, he never paid attention to anypony that wasn’t either his family or someone that he had to pay attention to. As he was sitting there, studying, he heard a loud click and when he turned around he saw a bright flash of light. What he saw dumbfounded him, confused him, bewildered him. “Discord?” He said with a slight uncertain tone in his voice “What? How? What do you want of me?” There were so many questions within Digital’s head that he wasn’t sure which one he should ask first. How was Discord here?  Digital had heard news that he had somehow escaped his stony jail but he had also heard that some beings called the “Elements of Harmony” had stopped him from causing much permanent damage to Equestria. “That I was my dear friend!” Discord said in a cheerful tone “Now, as I hope you can see, I am very much not encased in stone. Almost though. You see, I made a couple of mistakes in my most recent endeavour. I was too confident in myself however I still knew that Celestia forgot an eetsy-beetsy crucial detail in her plan to stop me.” “That being?” “Oh the slight little detail is that she actually needs REAL harmony to stop me” “Real harmony?” “Well you see, when Celestia enlisted the super mega friendship group to stop me from conquering Equestria they tried to use the Elements of Harmony, the problem with that is that they don’t have all of the Elements! TRUE Harmony can’t be created without the negative as well as the positive” “How do I fit into all of this again?” “You see I believe that you embody the element of enmity, almost as elusive as magic. Most people at least have some sort of a connection to the outside world but you seem to have managed to avoid that. I’m trying to gather the other 6 elements to take a stand against Celestia.” Digital Flicker gave Discord a confused look. He saw what he was trying to achieve and why but he couldn’t wrap his head around what made Discord think that… “Oo-hoo! Your mind's an interesting place Digi!” Discord laughed “I know that you’re considering selling me off to Celestia right now. However, I have a deal-sealer for you! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! (Buy now whilst stocks last). Imagine yourself… as a Unicorn! Yes, one of those magic things with horns that look almost like one of mine but not! You’d like that wouldn’t you. Well, I can give it you. All I need is a vow from you to come to me and help me overthrow Celestia when the time is right.” Digital only knew of one vow, so he started to recite it. “Cross my heart and hope to fly…” Digital began “Oh no no no no. That’s not what I… eugh . You remind me of 6 “maresketeers” from Ponyville. Just tell me that you’ll help me. I don’t need any rituals!” “Erm… Alright then, you have my word!” “Good, alright Unicornifi-whatever time.” With a flick of his fingers Discord disappeared and Digital began to feel a strange sensation on his wings and on his head. His wings began to crumple and retract into his main coat, not in a necessarily painful way mind you but just try to imagine one of your limbs slowly disappearing. His head sprouted a new growth. A few moments later Digital had officially changed race. “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!” Digital let out a massive stallion-squee and began to jump around his room, finally having achieved his life-long goal. //-------------------------------------------------------// Introduction - True Harmony //-------------------------------------------------------// Introduction - True Harmony Once upon a time in the magical land of Equestria… There lived a princess that took great care of her subjects and who spread the ideals of Friendship and Harmony across the land, she did this not only through her own benevolence but through the help of the magical Elements of Harmony. These 6 magical items represented all of the best qualities a pony could have: honesty, loyalty, laughter, generosity, kindness and, the most elusive of all, magic. These 6 elements tended to be assigned to a group of 6 ponies that embodied these characteristics in their purest forms and had recently been assigned to 6 ponies from Ponyville. However, there was something the princess forgot, true harmony could never be achieved without the elements being counter-balanced by another 6, perhaps and even more elusive group of 6 ponies that embodied the worst traits that a pony could have: Dishonesty, treachery, gloom, greed, meanness and enmity. There was a good reason for why the princess didn’t know of these elements. For it was almost 1,000 years ago when it was the last time she had to use the elements. To banish her sister to the moon for failing her royal duty and an attempt to take the princess’ throne. Since then, the princess has lost her connection to the elements. Now however, a new group of six ponies wielded the positive elements to defeat the younger princess once more and were now using them once more and the elements have been reactivated. Could it be that the other 6 will also be found in order to achieve True Harmony? //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue - Chaotic Thoughts //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue - Chaotic Thoughts “Go ahead and use your little elements, ‘friend me’ just make it quick!” Discord said in a mocking manner “I’m missing some excellent chaos here” Twilight nodded at her friends “All right ladies! Let’s show him what friendship can do!” ` Discord yawned, whilst he admired their efforts he knew that it would prove ultimately futile. After all, it was only just hours ago that they hated each other. He even managed to lower the element of magic, the only thing that this confidence could have spurred from is the fact that they somehow managed to get Rainbow Dash to join them in this attempt and that’s why Twilight was so enthusiastic. However, something was different this time. The elements began to glow and throw beams of light at him, could it be? No, there was no way that they managed to ‘friend’ each other again could they? Discord realised his mistake as soon as the consequences began, Twilight’s eyes began to glow and Discord got hit with the rainbow beam. ‘No… NO!’ Discord violently struggled as he began to turn into stone, the effect started crawling up his body like a spider. The worst part of it all was that Discord knew that it was his own ignorance that led to this, he had every opportunity to stop this from happening right up until the 6 elements were brought into play. The petrification continued and Discord kept on weaving and spiralling in order to try to keep the effect away, in the end it was in vain and the now-stone Discord plummeted to the ground. He was still perfectly aware of what was going on of course but he did his best to shut out any outside interference from his brain. He thought that taking over the world would have been an easy process after the stone which kept him was broken, he was wrong. However, he did have a backup plan. One that even the Elements of Harmony would be unable to defeat. There was one reason for this… Discord chuckled to himself ‘What these ponies don’t understand is that true harmony has to encompass both a positive and a negative side.’ It was this that let him know that he wouldn’t be trapped in this stone prison for much longer. Even now the cracks have begun to show again. What he also knew was that he needed to find and gather the negative harmony up and find a way of using it against these ‘friends’. ‘Can’t we get back to the point where I won? Eugh and I’ll have to deal with the magical friend-ponies again won’t I? Eugh… gag,’ In the midst of his planning he couldn’t help but here the cutesy-wutsy ‘friendship’ moments that the Elements of Harmony were sharing. ‘Soon My Little Ponies, sooner than you think heh heh’
