Equestrian Quill: The Rainbow
A Dream (Almost) Come True
It was a late afternoon in the town of Ponyville. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were sharing a delicious cake made by their friend Pinky Pie. Although they weren't quite hungry, it was a brand new flavor Pinky was experimenting with. "Wow, Pinky," exclaimed Rainbow Dash. "This is delicious!"
"I agree with Rainbow," nodded Fluttershy. "This cake is pretty tasty."
"Thanks!" Cheered Pinky at her friends. "It's recipe I've been wanting to try for awhile, but I could never get the ingredients. It came to me in a dream when-" Pinky Pie was interrupted when Twilight, Rarity and a very angry looking Spike walked into Sugarcube Corner.
"It was right there," yelled Spike at Twilight. "That was literally the best thing that could have happened!"
"Spike, it was for the best." Said Twilight, also aware of the opportunity that they threw away. "Besides, it wouldn't be fair to Rarity." Spike grumbled angrily to himself and sat in a corner in the back of the pastry shop.
"I still don't quite know what you guys are talking about," said Rarity slightly confused. "And at this point I don't really care. I could just really go for a delicious cupcake."
Rainbow Dash saw her friends walked in and noticed the clock when she looked up. A slight form of panic filled the blue ponies face. "Oh Celestia, i need to get going!"
"Aw," whined Rarity. "Why so soon?"
"I need to uh," Rainbow paused and looked at all of her friends. "I need to go finish a thing. At home. In the clouds. Where I live. At home."
"Well what kind of thing?" Rarity questioned her nervous friend.
"A thingy thing," she replied, looking quickly around the room. "You know how things are."
"I do!" Shouted Pinky from across the counter. "I know how lots of things are. Especially thingy things! Those are my favorite things!"
"Yea, well," Rainbow paused again looking at the confused Rarity. "Igottagonowbye!" She said speeding out of the room and into the sky.
"Does Rainbow know that we know she writes Daring Do fan fiction?" Asked Twilight.
"No, I don't think so," replied Fluttershy softly. "But let her have this. She has a reputation to uphold." The five ponies giggled to themselves as Pinky prepared even more mystery cake.
Rainbow Dash flew quickly
