Divider walked through the halls of the castle, exploring its secrets just as he had done as an orphan. Until he heard someone crying. It was a little filly about his age, her hair curly and tied up shortly. “Whats wrong? I could hear you from the halls.” he asked. “M-My scarf got blown away and got stuck on a tree. It means a lot to me!” she replied. “But you're a Pegasus… can’t you fly?” Divider asked again. She gathered up her tears. “I wasn't supposed to have wings… I never learned to use them.” she muttered. That was enough of an answer to get Divider to help her. He stepped back against the wall. “Wait! W-What are you doing?!” But it was too late. He had started to run and was already at the window. He leaped and reached out his hoof when SNAP! went the branch.

“Hey! Are you alright?” a voice called out. Divider opened his eyes and got up. The little filly stood by him and he rubbed his head. “I got your scarf.” he said slowly. She grabbed it quickly and snuggled it. “Thank you!” “Oh, it’s really ok--” “You're my hero!” she exclaimed, hugging him tightly. He slowly hugged her back and smiled. Then the filly ripped her scarf. “H-hey! What are you doing?!” he shouted. “It’s for you! You can wear it around your hoof.” she replied sweetly. She wrapped it around his hoof and soon ran off. Without knowing, he had earned his cutie mark.

It had only been 8 years and Divider still couldn't find that filly he had met. He was sure she never went to his school but still he wore the scarf he had been given. But to his luck, the pony he had bumped into was a shock. "Oh my! I'm sorry!" the pony exclaimed. He stepped up from the fall. He stared into her eyes and remembered her. She did too. "Your that colt... that insane colt that jumped from my window to get my scarf!" she stated. "When you say it like that it makes me sound stupid." he mumbled. Then he took another glance at her. Her hair was longer and let down. She wore the same red scarf around her neck and her eyes glimmered. "What are you looking at?" she asked, her eyes looking left and right. He smiled. "You. I never thought it'd be so easy to recognize you after 8 years." he replied. "Really? T-thank you I guess."
"I never learned your name. What is it?" he asked. "Really? It's Scarlet." she stated. "It suits you. My name is Divider." he stated back. She stared at him and smiled. "My, how come your so polite?" He froze. What was there to say... she would get excited. Maybe too excited. "From my mother..." he replied. "She did a good job. You look very strong." she remarked. He blushed. "Aha... strong is a bit overdone don't you think? I rather say..." "Scrawny? No... look at your cutie mark! It's amazing!" He glanced at his cutie mark and felt embarrassed. "Your right... the sun and the moon really are powerful together. But wait... how'd you know what I was going to say?" he asked. "I don't know... It felt like there was a connection between us. Crazy right?" Divider felt dizzy. His coma was kicking in and he didn't have his checkup for when it would have happen. Suddenly he blacked out.
"Uhg..." Divider shut his eyes tightly, looking away from the blinding light. He felt another figure laying down by his side. It felt warm. The pony's fur was soft and he felt scared to turn to his right. But he did it anyways, slowly. There by his side was Scarlet and she was quietly reading a book. "Scarlet? What are you doing here?" he asked. She closed her book and looked up. "I saw you pass out and I flew you to the hospital. The doctor told me to stay in here in-case you woke up." she replied. "That's really nice of you..." "I know. Having coma's can be hard if you have no one to be there for you." Divider stared at her. "How would you know that? Don't say things you don't know about." he snapped, soon regretting it. "I do know!" she shouted, bursting into tears. "My father had a coma and so did my mother... They were separated from each other and me. I was small and fragile... nobody took care of me... So we all were left alone. Now that I've met you, I won't let you go!" she cried. Divider felt sorry for her. How was he to know? He hugged her tightly and wiped away her tears. "I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay here just for you Scarlet."
Divider opened his eyes, giving a slight cough. Scarlet was out of sight and he sighed. The coma was really getting to him, or was it? He felt sick. Butterflies in his stomach. The doctor headed inside. "You recovered more quickly than we thought Mr..." "Just call me Div. And trust me, I don't think I recovered correctly." Divider grunted. The doctor looked confused. "What seems to be the matter?" he asked. "It's just some mare." he replied. The doctor suddenly gasped. "Oh yeah, that white mare! She left you a note. I'll leave you alone to read it. Come out when your ready to leave okay?" Divider swiped the card from the doctor's hoof. "Y-Yeah." Divider ripped the letter and opened up the note.
Dear Divider,
It been nice staying with you but I have flown home by now. My step-mother was probably worried about me.
It was really nice to meet you once again, I really appreciate your help and wish to meet you again. If you'd like, you could come over to our lovely home. My mother would love to meet you! Well see you soon!
Love, Scarlet
Divider closed the note and placed it in his bag. Of course he was going to come! He walked out of his room and sped through the door. Just as the sun was setting, he made it to her house. This house looks familiar... oh well he thought and knocked on the door. A yellow mare opened up the door, her mane in a bundle. "Hello. Is there anything wrong?" she asked. "N-no ma'm. But does Scarlet live here?" he replied. "Mom!" a voice shrieked. "I told you to not get the door until I'm ready!" Scarlet came rushing out of the kitchen. "Is this your friend? I'm so sorry honey!" the yellow mare whispered. "Divider! You got the note. I'd thought you'd be willing to come over!" she exclaimed happily. "I'm sorry about my mom, Flutter shy!" she apologized. The yellow mare hid under her hair. "No, no, no, I understand! But she hasn't been doing anything wrong. She's has a good hello!" he said, grinning at Flutter shy. "Please, come in!"

"So Divider, your actually Scarlet's friend? She's usually quite shy." Divider froze. His ears twitched. "Y-Yes. She's a great f-friend." he said nervously, stuffing his face. Then Divider heard Flutter shy whisper something. "Scarlet. I thought you invited Maltro. Y'know, the stallion who you kissed?" Scarlet fumed. Divider's eyes stared at her. "I didn't kiss him! He kissed me! It wasn't even a real kiss!!" Flutter shy covered her mouth. "S-Scarlet! Calm down please!" she pleaded. "Maltro leaned in and I flew away! He lied to you! I don't wanna talk to you anymore!" she screamed, right before flying into her room. Divider looked down. "I guess I should leave..." "No! She's just... upset. She wanted this dinner to be perfect for you. And I ruined it." "It wasn't your fault. I'll go talk to her for you. You can come if you'd like." Flutter shy nodded. Divider knocked on the door. "Scarlet? You in there?" he asked. It was quiet for a minute. "Yes." "May I come in?" he asked again. "Please do."
He opened the door and Scarlet drooped her ears. "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have screamed like that. And mom, I'm sorry too." Flutter shy smiled. "You should leave Divider. I don't think it'd be right for you to stay here any longer after what happened." Divider looked away. He leaned closer to whisper something to her. "I see. I understand if you don't want to see me again - Mmph!" Divider felt a slight shove as he tumbled over Scarlet. He caught a glimpse of Flutter shy, but she disappeared before he could look back. His eyes slowly opened as he felt weight on his stomach. "EEP!" Scarlet shook her head. She had landed right on top of him! Her muzzle touching his. She was so close that he could feel the touch of her feathers. They both blushed intensively. "Aha... some situation we're in..." Scarlet muttered. "We should... Scarlet... What are you-" Scarlet started to lean closer and closer until her lips pressed against his. She didn't even notice, considering her eyes were closed. Divider felt a short tingle of excitement overcome himself. Her wings felt soft and he laid flat on the floor.
"S-Scarlet!" he finally shouted. She popped open her eyes and her face moved away from his. "I'm sorry!! I-I didn't even n-notice!" she stammered. "I d-don't know what happened!! It was like s-something took over!" Divider believed her. What had happened was real alright. "Scarlet I think it was-" but before he could finish, Scarlet fled into the blanket, blushing. Divider stood up and awkwardly walked out. Flutter shy was waiting. "Well... how'd it go?" she asked. Divider looked away and continued walking. When he finally made it out, he wiped his face.
She kissed me!
