Meet Jacob. Average highschooler, avid gamer, and a brony that doesn't do more than watch the show (And maybe the movies as well). Went to the annual comic-con dressed as Alex Mercer with no cares in the world.

Meet the Merchant. Weird Eldritch being with the strange power to pull people from their world and send them off to another dimension, giving them new found powers along the way. He sells many goodies that some people just can't help but buy.

Meet Manehatten. Bustling city full of pastel colored ponies, towering skyscrapers, and lots of modern Equestrian technology.

Jacob, during the con, buys an item from this weird Merchant and gets shipped off to Equestria. He finds that he has become a living bioweapon by the name of Alex Mercer. Or Zeus, whichever works for you. And is barely even given time to adjust before he is thrown into a quest to save the city from imminent death.
