Skipper, a teenage glasses-wearing girl dragon, has a blue scales with red spikes. Her spikes are spiky and sharp, each tipped with red. To her, others were just in the way and had no reason to be there. She couldn't stand it when others needed her help. But one mistake can change everything.

Skipper walked through the streets of Manehattan in her trench coat, pushing ponies out of the way. She held a red ruby cigar between her fangs. A pegasus bumped into her. Her pupils turned to thin slits and red flames smoke poured from her clenched teeth.

"Watch it, wing boy!"

"Sorry."

The pegasus trotted passed Skipper in haste. She nodded with a huff and tapped her ruby, knocking gem dust off it. She placed it back in her mouth and continued walking. The teen dragon looked back when she didn't feel the sun anymore.

"Ah, nuts. Nighttime. I gotta get outta here."

Skipper opened her wings and began flying to her cave, claws in pockets. She saw the cave and landed, taking a few steps in but stopping at the sound of voices.

"Come on, dude!"

"I'm coming! I'm coming!"

"Come on!"

Skipper walked in fully to see three teenage dragons. They were taking gems from her hoard. Smoke poured from her mouth again and she shot a warning flame. The teenagers jumped at the fire, but laughed when they saw who shot it.

"This my hoard your taking from."

"Whatever squirt! Just scram before someone gets hurt."

"You guys need to scat. Now."

"I said scram, squirt!"

Skipper growled and took a deep breath. She released it as a large stream of red fire. The teenagers were now covered in soot. They dropped her gems and walked over to her.

"Just who do you think are, squirt?"

"Skipper, the queen of this hoard."

The red and yellow one picked up Skipper by her chest scales. He blew smoke in her face.

"No one breaths fire on Razor and gets away with it."

Skipper made a "Really" face and blew her fire in his face again. Razor let out a growl and blew back. The two engaged in a flame battle, of which Skipper won. Razor wiped the black from his face.

"You're pretty fire strong, squirt."

"Thanks. I-"

Skipper fell over, coughing up smoke and flames. She held her throat and fell over onto her side. Razor knelt and looked at her.

"Whoa, you alright?"

"I'm....fine. Just.....just get outta my...my cave."

Razor shook his head and picked up Skipper. She writhed and snapped at him.

"Unhand me!"

"Sorry, squirt, but I've seen this before. You're going to the Gorge."

Skipper only continued to bite and shout, but the three opened their wings and took off.

The group of four landed in a large gorge, filled with lava and dragons. Skip shook as she coughed more black smoke into her claws.

"Why...are...we here?"

"You're sick and with how you live alone, it's only gonna get worse without someone to help you."

Skip looked up at Razor, her pupils barely noticeable and her fangs bared.

"I don't need help from nobody!"

Skip immediately fell into another coughing fit and was rattled with shivers. Razor shook his head and set her down on a heated rock slab, which helped a little.

"You stay here, squirt. I-"

"That's not my name, it's...Skipper."

Razor blew it off and walked off, climbing a hoard of gems. He picked through it until he pulled out a few amethysts. He fluttered back down to Skipper and set then down in front of her.

"Eat these."

Skipper glared at Razor before removing the ruby in her mouth and biting down on the purple gems. She was too hungry to complain about not needing help. She coughed them back a bit before actually getting to swallow them. She held a claw to mouth and smacked her tongue.

"Why can't I...taste anything?"

Razor turned and began walking off again.

"That's what I thought would happen. Go ahead and sleep, squirt. We can continue helping tomorrow."

"I DON'T NEED-"

Skipper began coughing again and growled. She fell over onto the rock, but refused to sleep. She wasn't about to take orders from some random dragon she just met! But her eyes were starting to feel heavy and the warmth the rock was giving helping either. Eventually, Skipper had crashed, using her coat as a blanket. Razor watched her from afar until he was sure she was resting.

"Stubborn kid. Gonna get herself killed."

Razor was about to fly away, when he saw Skipper get up. He flew over to her and got in her face.

"Didn't I tell you to...stay...put?"

Razor went silent as Skipper walked passed him. He looked after her and flew over and above her. Her eyes were still closed, but she was willing and mumbling.

" She's sleepwalking?"

Skipper's spikes were also shifting ever so slightly. Razor watched as she followed the path she was laying out. They soon began vibrating quickly and Skipper knelt, still asleep. She brought out her claws and began digging, Razor still fluttering above her.

"What?"

The blue dragon uncovered a pile of gems and began picking through it. She pulled out a sapphire, about the same size as her ruby. She to the red gem out her mouth and replaced it with the blue one. Presenting a small box that Razor didn't see before,  Skipper put the ruby in one of the many places in it. Razor noticed other gems cigar, such as peridot and jasper, but she closed it before he could see any more.

Skipper got up and walked back to the rock, got under her coat, and fell "back" asleep logger nothing happened. Razor looked between her and the hole in the ground.

"This might end up being more trouble than it's worth."
