The war had gone on longer than anyone had expected. Germany had made astonishing advancements in their V-2 rocket systems and had some of the fastest aircraft on the planet. Critical setbacks during the summer of 1944 such as a long range barrage onto a massive soviet force weakened Russia so much that Germany already had troops in Moscow. ‘Allies losing the war? “Yes.” Says American president Harry S. Truman!’ News papers read in the morning. Engines roared over France. While the Germans took Russia, the U.S and Britain strolled into France, eliminating a large amount of occupying Nazi forces. Paris was set up as a staging area for the largest bombing raid in history. Over 5000 British and American bombers were stocked with the bombs and one carried the latest atomic bomb produced from the American war machine. All the bombers were heading for the same location. Berlin. “This is Red Velvet, we’ve got bandits coming at us at 12 o’clock. Load your guns. Theres thousands.” The captain of the first experimental gunship spoke. The U.S designed gunship was a massive beast, it had been build on the hull of a B-29 bomber but was plated like a flying tank and had almost 10 M1919 Browning machine guns facing in every direction. It was designed as a massive flying anti-aircraft station and had as succeeded in that aspect on every dogfight its ever been in. The armour was too thick for regular German aircraft to puncture. “We’re ready here, thanks Velvet.” Captain Smith of the B-29 ‘Smoke Stak’ spoke. He relayed the orders to the crew to repeat the message to the thousands of other aircraft surrounding them. The B-29 he piloted worked in the same way a British command tank worked. It was armed with very few weapons and had the bomb storage replaced with a large radio setup. The aircraft was the life support of the entire flock and its most valuable asset. “Scratch that. Theres acct-” Velvet came over the radio again, but shortly stopped. “OH MY FUCKING GOD!” The pilot screamed. “RV?! RV respond!” Captain Smith yelled. Nobody could tell what happened to Velvet. They were almost 3 miles ahed of them with the majority of the escorts to hold off a large counter attack. Minuets later a response came. “THEY JUST-” The response cut out again. “What?! RV respond! What the hell is happening?!” Swear dripped down Smith’s head. “THIS IS RED VELVET! THERES SO FUCKING MANY!” Gunfire drowned out what the captain of the gunship said, but Smith could just barley make it out. He turned to his right to the radio operator. “Tell whatever combat non-essential aircraft we have with to go and assist Velvet. Theres somehow big ahed, and its coming right to us.” The Radioman nodded and quickly got to work. Suddenly a blinding flash. “THIS IS R--------VET! THEY JUST SET OFF A-” The radio went dead, along with everything else in the plane. Its along with everything else in the massive flock of aircraft started dropping. Then the blast hit, killing at least half of the 6,000 men aboard aircraft during the raid. Planes were ripped to shreds. The B-29 nosedived straight down. The blast shredded it into peaces, killing the whole crew instantly. They has been flying for no less than half an hour until it all ended. July 7th, 1947. It was there. Bold as day on the front of the paper. ‘France, Britain and Ireland fall to nuclear strikes from Germany.’ America had made plans to surrender. It has seemed that the whole war was over. Until something spectacular happened. Something so amazing it sparked the beginning of a golden age around the world. July 8th, 1947. Then the good news hit. The wait for atomic obliteration across the world ended with todays issued of the paper. ‘Revenge fuelled MI6 agents detonate all of Germany’s nuclear weapons, obliterating Germany and ending the war. Russia had killed all remaining Germans with Chinese assistance.’ America had a fake smile. The whole world did. The war had been won, but at what cost? All of Europe had faced annihilation and billions were dead. Japan had surrendered years ago, but China had crushed them and annexed all of Japan. June 13th, 2009. Mike turned on his TV and sat down on the chair adjacent to it. “Global Union peace talks break down, the over 50 year old alliance between the United States, Russian Federation and the Chinese Republic had been established at the end of the second world war has begun to collapse due to the rising tensions between China and Australia over the war in Indonesia. ‘Honestly, we just want the best. We want this war to end and for things to go back to the way they were.’ United States president, Barrack Obama said at his latest public address. In other news, the New France government has decided to begin construction of the Eiffel Tower, a project that had since been abandoned since 1997.” Mike sighed. “Well. The worlds gone to shit as usual.” He turned off the tv and went back to his room. Mike lived in Ontario, Canada. Toronto, to be precise. He lived in a bad neighbourhood in a 2 room apartment. He had gone into seclusion after the whole ordeal in 1997 with Equestria. Jeremy had moved to the U.S controlled remnants of Ireland and the UK. Fritz had just gone into seclusion. Scott went to therapy for a year and was sent back to live in Boston. Chris had vanished off the face of the Earth and that was that. The 3 remaining Fazbear employees occasionally got together and drove out to Nevada to dig up and old memoir box of souvenirs from Equestria and to waste all their money in Vegas. Eventually they had settled in and gotten on with their lives and got better paying jobs. Mike worked at a small food chain. Jeremy in a engineering job for designing new buildings for the still very much wasteland-like Europe. Scott had simply retired at the age of 44 and had been writing stories that rarely got published. They all lived boring lives, but could care less. The work conditions were better than Freddy’s, that’s for sure. Everything was going fine for them. Life was good. July 7th, 1947. Equestria. Princess Celestia looked through the small universe-crossing screen she had conjured up with some magic. The look she’d been studying the human race for a few years ever since a prestigious unicorn finished one of Starswirl the Bearded’s most advanced spells, the human race astonished Celestia and intrigued her, such inventions such as the radio or flight without any forms of magic truly made Celestia think of a mutually beneficial relationship between the nation and planet. Since the beginning of the 19th century, she had been watching, judging and rooting for humanity to come into an age of peace, but today was the moment she realized she couldn’t help them, even if she wanted to. The first doubt popped up almost as soon as she started watching them. World War 1, or ‘The Great War’ as humanity called it, was a horrible time for all of them. The whole world has been plunged into chaos by a single man and a bullet. She rooted for the allies and was happy to see such advanced nations such as Germany or the Austro-Hungarian empire lose such high values by a bad decision from the higher ups. Its was only once the second world war broke out, she thought it would have been the end for the species. She knew what would come with the rise of socialism in Germany and the rising Communist forces to the east in Russia. War was going to come. Many nations on Earth reminded her of nations on her planet. Even some cities shared the names, but she never hoped even on her worst enemies, a fate the entire planet went through, World War 2. 16 Million people had died in only the first few years since 1932 when the war started. It baffled her. 16 Million casualties from one war… Equestrian wars only had a casualty count of half a million or so, but 16?! Celestia never wanted to doubt humanity, but she knew they were capable of many evils. The entire Holocaust could be counted as the largest. July 16, 1945 Alamogordo. Celestia watched intently at whatever was happening in the Nevada military base. She’d heard while viewing secretive meeting in Washington D.C that the United States was going to develop a weapon to take out Japan so they could focus their military in Europe, but a weapon large enough to take out ALL of Japan? Celestial knew she was thinking too much into it until her train of thought was interrupted by a speaker in the small bunker filled with scientists, military personnel and important officials. The speaker and radio itself was an invention Celestia believed she could utilize for a more well connected world for the planet she lived on, the same with other inventions such as electricity and rocketry. She has top scientists working on each in separate groups. They were the greatest mind the country could yield, but what they produced were mere toys to the radios of the human race “Attention all personnel, please place your goggles on now. The test will begin in T-Minus 10…” The speaker cut off and the personnel around the bunker placed large goggles around their heads. “Huh…” Celestia spoke to herself. “I wonder what happens today…” To say she was in vast anticipation of whatever the USA was about to test could get them the upper hand in the war was an understatement. She was ecstatic. “9…” She looked around the room to make sure nopony was watching. This entire spell was the closest guarded secrete in all of Equestria. Seconds later the countdown had reached the final stretch. The personnel in the bunker were nervous if the looks on their faces could tell anything. “3...” Celestia sat down and waited quietly. “2…” So close… “1...” Click Click Click… Celestia closed her eyes as tight as she could and yelled in pain quietly, but the guards still heard her and barged into the room, triggering the spell to shut off and the small levitating screen to vanish. “Queen Celestia! Are you okay? What happened?!” A guard ran straight to her side will the other checked the room for intruders. Their iron swords and thicker armour still standing the test of time. The thicker iron armour the guards wore today were the only ones still being produced. After the war against Nightmare Moon, the Equestrian military didn’t need its might and the coming of a weak global peace made it basically fated. All the armour still used by the guards today had seen hundreds of years of war, but were obsolete at this point. A full scale disarmament was scheduled for 1970 due to the massive outcroppings of young nations and democratic talks between warring nations taking up the schedule. “Yes, yes I’m okay…” Celestia stood on all four hooves again and blinked a few times to get the spots out of them. “Im alright I was just testing out a light spell… Ill be fine.” The guards looked at each other and looked back to Celestia. “Alright, if you need anything we will be outside to door as usual.” The guards walked out the door and shut it behind them. ‘Holy Faust I need to know what that was…’ Celestia thought to herself before opening up the screen again, only to be met with a sight of absolute destruction. A darkened sky loomed across the desert, a massive mushroom of smoke rose into the air. Ash rained across the sand. A single man stood up and said one thing and broke the uneasy scilence of the room. “I am become death, the destroyer of worlds.” July 7th 1947. Celestia sat and watched silently weeping. Billions of men and women had been killed in an instant. Allied powers in Europe were bombed, obliterated. Celestia had to do something. A final act of vengeance for all those lost in Europe. Using the most advanced spell she either saved the human race, or destroyed it in seconds. 72 MI6 agents felt their minds go from the thought of their entire families being vaporized to one final act. Destroy Germany. She had begun the domino effect that would bring the Night Watchmen to Equestria in 50 years.
