Tracker had just gotten done with a meeting with Princess Twilight Sparkle who personally updated him and gave him a first hoof account of the Double Rainbow encounter, knowing that he was the one who was handling all investigations for the princesses.

A lot of this was making sense to him now. He investigated the pony murders by Double Rainbow. It appears he captures ponies, binds them with barbed wire, injures the victims himself once, and then makes the victims injure themselves in the same manner that he inflicted on them in order to release them from their bindings. Enraged and vengeful they attack Double Rainbow. They fall for his trap and a secondary device kills them. Oddly, while investigating the scenes, it appears that the exits for them to leave are directly behind them and do not appear to be booby trapped. So if the ponies just walked away, they could have survived these incidents. But why these ponies? Tracker had not been able to determine why Double Rainbow had chosen these victims. Additionally, the traps were getting slightly more sophisticated with each death crime. More bodies were being discovered at an alarming rate. It was getting out of control.

However, this new information that Twilight provided would be useful. He believed he had narrowed down where the possibility of Double Rainbow’s Lair may be, based on the location of the victims. The fact that Twilight had intercepted Double Rainbow at this specific location was interesting. Nearby by twenty-five miles or so was some old fortresses used during the Great Pony War in the past. However, there were many caves and other natural hiding places as well. There were also some old secret temples from previous pony civilizations in the area.

Tracker was going to have to explore the entire area. It was what he specialized in doing and was his special talent. Tracker was ready to hunt Double Rainbow down. Tracker had to hurry it up. The bodies of ponies were piling up.
