//-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbow Heart 2 -by Hybridcanine- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The Mysterious Unicorn //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The Mysterious Unicorn Rainbow Heart, “By my will revenge will belong to everypony!” The town sewer plant smelled rancid. It was in the evening and the autumn wind was blowing through the facility with brisk strokes. My next pony was already in place. My sleep spell would soon wear off and I wanted to be ready. I never properly introduced myself to you. My name is Double Rainbow. I am a horse of another different color. I am a white unicorn with rainbow mane and tail. I have blue eyes and a rainbow horn. My cutie mark is two semi-circular rainbows on my flank, one on top of the other divided by a small space. Yes, it was my horn that Rainbow Heart, my lover, had removed from me and was magically attached to his forehead sometime after my death. I cut it off of him with an axe when I found him in the Everfree Forest and then I reattached it to myself using nails and a hammer. My horn is most powerful, but it is only a fraction of my full magic potential. Even after death, my horn was loaded with my magic power. I have very powerful magic due to the Karma I generated in life by doing many good things. This is why I was chosen to fulfill these tasks by nature. To bring balance back to good and evil. Sadly, I was a zombie pony. I was unexpectedly awaken when my lover used the zombie spell from my Book of Shadows to raise the dead ponies of the Stones of Tears, even though he thought he had purposefully not raised me from the dead. I wore bloody bandages around my neck still and the bandages were covered by a fashionable rainbow scarf to conceal the fatal wound inflicted on me. I also donned a decorative saddle complete with a yin and yang symbol and other ornamental details. In death I realized nature wanted me to combat the crimes against ponykind. This would bring about balance. It wouldn’t just be the 100 innocent ponies at the Stones of Tears, now there would be a cosmically equal amount of evil ponies buried there to balance the amount of good ponies. The pony in front of me was well known by almost all local stallions and some mares for services rendered in Ponyville. Cream Pie is a female earth pony. She had a black body with red mane, tail, and eyes. Her cutie mark is 20 bits. When Cream Pie came too, she jerked up with a shriek, feeling pain. Energetically, she frantically tried to get out of the booby trap inflicting pain on herself. “What the hell is this?” Cream Pie shouted. It was then she noticed me on the other side of the catwalk. Below was raw sewage flowing into the sewage treatment plant. All the sewers from Ponyville ran like rivers to this facility. You could only imagine the filth inside it. The booby trap was literally a booby trap. Barbed wire prevented her from moving far. Her hooves were also connected by an intricate spider web like design to ensure the only way to leave it was to remove her female parts located near her hind legs. Blood flowed from the injury and some had already dried on the sharp rusty wire. The door to exit the facility was behind her and my trustworthy rug was between her and me. The special rug had a yin and yang symbol in the center of it with other magical ornamental designs on it, a gift from my significant other. I said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Cream Pie, I know everything. Ever since you were a filly you charged everyone even your friends for everything. It started by charging them to hang out or to help them clean or to help them move. You learned, however, that ponies would pay a premium for sexual acts. In your prostitution you became infected with many diseases, which you intentionally gave to your clients. You contracted a fatal disease from one of your clients. Now you purposefully spread your fatal sexually transmitted disease to other unsuspecting clients. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” I stepped forward using my horn to levitate a knife and brought it to her left bosom rubbing it gently against it. Cream Pie’s body tensed up, nervous and terrified. “I am going to die anyways. It’s going to be very painful. Please don’t do this to me.” Cream Pie hastily begged. “That may be true, but you still need to learn your lesson about hurting other ponies. You have given your death sentence to them just because you wanted for them to suffer just like you have.” I stated. With violent sawing motions back and forth I cut and removed the breast located by her hind legs. Cream Pie was screaming in pain and blood splattered everywhere. I dropped the knife in front of her and walked to the other side of my rug. Cream Pie looked at her ravaged body and picked up the knife with her only free hoof, as a result of one of the busts being severed. She looked at me and I looked back into her eyes. She knew what she had to do. Even she was that intelligent. Crying and shouting she jabbed the knife into the remaining one and tried slashing to remove it. After a painful few minutes it fell to the ground with a thud. Cream Pie stumbled forward out of the web design. We looked at each other and I could tell she was debating what to do. Maybe she just might succeed and leave alive. But I knew she wouldn’t do that. Nope, she put the knife’s handle in her mouth with the blade showing and the sharp end out and away. She angrily walked forward towards me. Damn. So close to finding the one who will realize their true potential. Not surprisingly she stepped on my rug with her hoof and activated a hidden makeshift button underneath it. It engaged the second trap and dropped a cage from above. It also activated the catwalk to lower. The sewage level also began to rise as the inflow doors fully opened. She tried frantically to get out of it, but to no avail. Cream Pie drowned in the gross liquid substance as she disappeared underneath the effluent. I waited for a while before the inflow doors returned to their normal level and the catwalk sprung back up. I used my horn to levitate the rug and knife of mine and left the facility. Nothing was on my side. I needed to get more of these devices completed and ponies executed if I were going to achieve what needed to be done. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 The Aftermath //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 The Aftermath The night was dark and breezy. Tracker sat at his desk with the window open going over the classified folders one last time before he would disembark to go searching for clues. Tracker knew he had his work cut out for him. Tracker was the chief investigator in Equestria. He was chosen by the Alicorns of Equestria to investigate all of the incidents surrounding the Rainbow Heart Zombie Resurrection and Spirit Necromancy Case and anything that may be related. He was a blue earth pony with blue eyes and a black mane, and tail. His cutie mark was a magnifying glass. Most importantly, he was searching for the still at large pony Rainbow Heart and any accomplices that he may have. Many ponies had dropped off their independent case folders to him containing the information about the incidents occurring last week’s past on Nightmare Night and the night prior to it. This included much needed background investigations on the five deceased ponies who had aided Rainbow Heart from beyond the grave. Tracker went through the files on the five deceased ponies who helped Rainbow Heart. He read the words and in his mind it was like watching a movie in a theater. The first was Solar Salute. He was a well decorated solar guard with more than his fair share of battle scars. He was married to a mare named Flower Garden. His death report showed that a witness saw him shove a mare out of the way of a changeling who was charging at the mare. Solar’s death was he got penetrated by the changeling’s horn through the heart. This was during Queen Chrysalis’ attack on Canterlot. The second folder contained Pizza Party’s demise. Witnesses claim that he charged into a burning house to save a foal. Pizza Party had dropped the baby out of a window to the safety of the ponies below who caught the foal. This was before he died by fire, burnt alive mostly, unable to escape himself. It was an accident that had started in regards to the chaos Tirek started when he came to Ponyville. The third folder belonged to Bubblegum: A report from the pony she saved claimed that Bubblegum used her special bubblegum talents to make a balloon out of the gum by blowing into the chewed substance, which was able to go airborne and carry the earth pony away who couldn’t swim when Discord caused Chaos in Ponyville resulting in a water flood. According to the saved witness, Bubblegum had just taken back to the sky when she was struck by a wooden pole or pillar of some sort that fell down as a result of the flood. The accident broke her wings and legs in one powerful swift unseen blow. This occurred just after she took off out of the water, resulting her plummeting back into the water. She drowned alive and conscious. The fourth and fifth folder occurred at the same event. The ponies were Arcadia and Cirrus who were best friends and probably more. Some ponies who knew them thought they were friends with benefits, but such information was not important to the case really. They both died during the pandemonium when Nightmare Moon appeared in Ponyville. As a team they were trying to rescue ponies from the panic that ensured. Unknown to most ponies the event also triggered many natural disasters that night. It was almost like nature itself had opposed the event. Arcadia had saved a pony from a landslide. While Cirrus flew the pony to safety, a second landslide occurred, burying Arcadia. Cirrus seeing this flew back hastily to save him but was struck by the electricity when the thunder roared. Arcadia was buried in a landslide and died while Cirrus was struck and killed by lightning while trying to save Arcadia, her friend. They had saved many lives that night. It was tragic. All of it. They did not deserve to die. None of them did. They were all heroes during the villain attacks of the past. It made sense why Rainbow Heart chose these heroic ponies. They were brave and their courage would inspire the other victim zombie ponies who had died at the hooves of the villains and were buried at the Stones of Tears. Then the last file that was brought to him was on the pony from the missing empty grave at the stones. The name of the pony was Double Rainbow, and not coincidentally, the mate of Rainbow Heart. This led him to believe that Double Rainbow was still on the loose also and probably the one aiding him. Apparently, Double Rainbow died during the Canterlot Wedding incident involving Queen Chrysalis. Although the details are somewhat sketchy. There were four more files on his desk. One was the report on Rainbow Heart which he had read many times already. It pretty much stated that he was a spa pony, but left after the death of his loved one. Apparently, he worked as a security guard for a while. Tracker speculated it was during this time he was doing research into dark magic. Then the rest is history. He raised the dead ponies and cause a buffet of chaos. The other three files were some apparent murders, these gristly deaths of some ponies had occurred within the same time frame of the zombie pony incident. It was his belief that it was Double Rainbow who had done those crimes while Rainbow Heart and the other ponies marched on Ponyville and then Canterlot. It was clear to Tracker that these deaths were somehow related to the death of Rainbow Heart’s mate, Double Rainbow. These traps as initial reports informed do appear to be related. It was his job to find out and he was personally gonna go investigate the scenes himself for a first person view of it. He had been put in charge of the whole investigation and he was gonna leave no stone or tombstone unturned. The initial reports as Tracker had breezed through them stated that there were three incidents discovered. The first found was by a pony named Clockwork whose special talent is clocks and gears, in general. The mass of body was found in the Ponyville Clock Tower after he noticed the clock was not working and went in to repair it. The next corpse that was seen was found by a pony named Night Wanderer. He found the pony corpse in a cave, which defiantly was not the result of natural causes. The third discovery was by a foreman named Hard Flank. He discovered a deceased pony in a garbage compacting unit or what was left of it. The suspect was clearly a stalking horse who enjoyed the hunt and the kill. However, this did go completely against Double Rainbow’s personality. Double Rainbow was known all across the surrounding areas as a pony who would help everyone and gave things freely to ponies in need. Perhaps dying at the hooves of a monster changed him into this killer. Tracker got up from his desk and put his official hat and metal badge on. He heading out to investigate the scenes. All of this was somehow connected. He knew it and he was going to get to the bottom of it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Justice //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Justice I was getting much better at this. Using magic I could fly anywhere and get there quickly. Then using my sleep spell, I’d make sure they wouldn’t wake again until I was good and ready for them. It was now early morning but still dark. Most ponies were asleep. I’d be back at my Secret Lair momentarily with a gift. But one more pony was in order. I was at a Petting Zoo. It would be a nice place for this next event. The sleep spell began to wear off, disintegrating. Before me was a female unicorn. Her name was Guiding Light. Don’t let her name fool you. She was evil. Guiding Light had a white body with yellow mane, tail, and eyes. Her cutie mark was a Lighthouse. She was a school teacher. Guiding Light slowly opened her eyes, groggily. It was clear she felt pain on her head and buttock. Like she had woken up in a nightmare, she began to panic when she noticed she was in trouble. She cried out over the animal noises in agony and confusion. I stepped forward and the animals all of a sudden quieted down. The sudden silence informed Guiding Light of my presence and she looked at me in horror. Her mane and tail were rolled and wrapped up in barbed wire digging deeply into her skin beneath. The only way to be freed of the wire was to cut her skin off to completely remove the wire braided and entangled hair. Between me and her was my trusty rug over some hay and straw. The exit door to the petting zoo was behind her. I said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Guiding Light, I know everything. You started off as a teacher honorably. But when you weren’t able to have a child of your own you resented everything about them. You would verbally, physically, and sexually abuse them. Some died from the abuse you inflected upon them, while others killed themselves unable to cope with all the misery you compounded on them. You lied about the foals under your care and everypony believed you. They never blamed or accused you for the injuries and deaths you inflicted on the youth. It didn’t matter if they were a filly or a colt, you treated them worse than animals. You are a monster. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” “I haven’t done anything wrong!” Guiding Light exclaimed. I didn’t listen. I stepped forward using my horn to levitate my knife and brought it to her tail rubbing it gently against the skin beneath the fur. With energetic strides, I cut the tail from her body skin included. She screamed as the lump of tail and flesh freshly severed fell and bounced on the ground. I dropped the knife in front of her and said, “You can fool all of the ponies in Equestria, but not me. I know what you have done. You want to be free from the wire, you will have to do to your precious mane what I just did to your tail. Only then can you move forward as a pony who has changed for the better, realizing that you need to use your talents and special abilities for good and not evil.” Hesitantly, she picked up the knife with her horn using magic. Looking at me she got upset and with a gulp began scalping herself with screams of pain. The clump of mane dropped and splatted on the dirt ground. Free of the entanglements, Guiding Light charged forward with rage, the knife floating in the air next to her. Upon landing on my rug, all four of her hooves were snapped with bear traps hidden underneath the rug and straw and hay. In pain the grasps of the traps brought her to a stop but her momentum carried her forward and her head landed in the middle of a fifth bear trap snapping around her neck. She was dead in a few moments. I picked up my rug and knife and left for my Hidden Base. I thought to myself, “Honey, I’m coming home.” I was bringing my lover a gift as well. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 The Darkness //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 The Darkness Still dazed and with a headache like someone hit her on the back of the head from behind, Roadkill could feel nothing else but large, cold, and damp stones beneath her aching body. She opened her eyes and let them adjusted. They widened with shock when she realized she was not at home. The room was dark only lit by candles. She sprung to her feet confused and scared. Was this a nightmare? “Are you all right?” a voice came from an obscured and sagging doorway. The white pony entered the old style room, his hooves banging like coconuts on the stone. The unicorn looked to be in pretty bad shape with what appeared to be bloody cloth slightly visible, which appeared to have been attempted to be concealed under a scarf of some kind. The dingy room was in no better condition. It appeared to be a den of some sort and she had been laying in front of an unlit fireplace. “I am okay. But what am I doing here? What did you do to me?” Roadkill exclaimed inspecting her body for injuries or worse. “My name is Double Rainbow. You’re here against your will. I understand this. But I promise no harm will come to you if you do something for me.” The white unicorn informed. Roadkill, feeling insecure, didn’t want to start any trouble and knowing she was in danger, stated, “Okay. I’ll do it. What is it that you want?” “I need you to take care of my lover. I have errands to run and can’t take care of him myself.” Double Rainbow informed. Roadkill stated, “That sounds easy enough. Where is he?” “Follow me.” Double Rainbow ordered using his horn to light the way through the dimly lit passageways. She followed not resisting. Roadkill had been kidnapped by this unicorn named Double Rainbow. Roadkill is a female earth pony. She was responsible for cleaning up dead animals usually run over by carriages but any dead animal in the road or elsewhere. She would pick them up and bury them or have them cremated. Roadkill was an orange unicorn with a pink mane, a purple tail, and teal eyes. Her cutie mark was a shovel with a pet face that had “X”’s for eyes. They went through a creepy door into a dining room like area. It was also lit by candles. Oddly all the windows appeared to have been blacked out or filled with stone. On the opposite side of the room was a dark area. It wasn’t until she and Double Rainbow got closer that she could actually see what it was. Double Rainbow stated, “This is my mate, Rainbow Heart.” Oddly Rainbow Heart didn’t even appear to notice them. Roadkill could clearly see some injuries. Roadkill asked, “Is he alright?” Double Rainbow informed, “My life will be fading momentarily and I have much work to do. I don’t have the time to watch him while he recovers. As you can see he has become a mere shadow of his former self, inflicting injuries upon himself amongst other things in failed attempts to bring back his mind, his consciousness, back into full control of his body. The pony’s body was meant to only have one soul resting in its vessel. Rainbow Heart had close to 100 spirits infect his body at once. His own thoughts are confusing to him. He is unaware if he is thinking his own thoughts or if somepony else is. His recovery will happen in time, but until then he has to be watched until his mind recovers from the mental lapses.” Double Rainbow then went into detail as to how Rainbow Heart had sustained his injures. Rainbow Heart was a bloody mess. Rainbow Heart was laying on a spa table with 100 sewing pins bloody and pushed into his front left foreleg, clearly done by himself. A bandage was wrapped around his head where the second horn was removed via axe among other apparent self-inflicted injuries. There was also a bandage wrapped around his hips. With a smaller version kitchen knife he had severed one of his cutie marks from his body in the pelvic area. It was the right flank cutie mark. It was cut out and removed skin and all down to exposed muscle, maybe even down to the bone. The white pony was in slightly better shape it appeared. Roadkill was hesitant now. She knew Rainbow Heart needed special care. Roadkill kindly argued, “I only deal with dead animals. What he really needs is a doctor. I’m not sure I can do what you want me to do.” Double Rainbow barked to Roadkill, “Hold your horses. Every horse thinks its own pack is the heaviest. You will do this for me. Let me put it to you this way. Whatever happens to my family while I am away regardless if you do it to him or he does it to himself will be doubled to yours!” Roadkill gulped. She was going to be responsible for Rainbow Heart while he was away. This was not good. Rainbow Heart clearly needed mental help as well as physical treatments. Double Rainbow stated, “Heart! I gotta surprise gift for you. It’s a new friend!” Rainbow Heart, a black unicorn, as if he had just been alerted to their presence got up excitedly and rushed over to them like a dog whose owner had just arrived home. Rainbow Heart had a sickly twisted and creepy smile with wide eyes. Rainbow Heart said excited moving his legs up and down in a giddy way, “I has a new friend. I has a new friend. I has a new friend.” Rainbow Heart continued giggling at the end, “Let’s play a game.” Roadkill chocked out with a fake smile, “Yeah, okay. That’ll be fun.” It was then Rainbow Heart using magic to levitate the item attempted to cut his front right foreleg with a rotary cutter. “Ok. Whoever bleeds the most wins.” Rainbow Heart challenged. Before Rainbow Heart could use the blade, Double Rainbow used his magic to overpower and stop the action. Double Rainbow shouted, “No! Bad, Rainbow Heart! Bad pony! Do not do hurtful things to yourself!” “It’s what all the voices said. They are everywhere! They want vengeance! All of Equestria will be destroyed! Oh, meal time!” Rainbow Heart stated. Rainbow Heart left for the kitchen. “I’ll leave you two to get acquainted. Keep a very close eye on him.” With seriousness in his face, Double Rainbow looked directly at Roadkill and reminded her, “Whatever happens to him won’t happen to you. But it will happen to all of your loved ones. That I promise.” The white unicorn turned and departed. The black unicorn returned with two plates of food and cups with liquid in it. Both kitchenware didn’t appear to have been cleaned lately if ever. Rainbow Heart stated, “This sandwich is a secret family recipe.” Roadkill looked awkwardly at the stack and in between the layers and informed, “But it’s just a slice of bread sandwiched between two other slices of bread.” “I know. And no pony has ever thought of it.” Rainbow Heart added. “I have a drink too. It’s like coffee, but I call it ponffee. My mate brought home a corpse of a bad pony. I use the blood instead of coffee grounds to percolate with the water. Then I cooked some flesh and cut it into little chucks to make ponffee. Enjoy!” Rainbow Heart stated in derangement. Roadkill felt sick to her stomach. Completely grossed out by what she had just been informed. This was an awful situation. She hoped that someone would notice that she was missing soon, get help, and prayed to Celestia that someone would find her as soon as possible. This was going to be hell. Rainbow Heart downed his food and drink. Roadkill was more hesitant about the sustenance. “The end of Equestria is coming!” Rainbow Heart exclaimed, eyeballing the wall, “I was hoping there’d be a specifically placed hole right here in the wall so I could squeeze one last one off before the end. Hmmm… I need a drill to make the hole.” Roadkill rolled her eyes. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 Karma //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 Karma The afternoon was relatively warm in Ponyville. I was at the museum full of ancient pony artifacts and historical creatures long extinct among other interesting monuments and scientific data of the past. No pony was here. It was closed today, which made my work easy. Soon this building would be famous for the things that I have done. My pony trap was set and now we would see if this pony had what it would take to change from evil to good. The thought brought an evil smirk to my face. The pony in front of me was infamous. He was a swindler and a conman. He was known as Smooth Talker. He was a male pegasus. He had forest green body with black mane, tail, and hazel eyes. His cutie mark was metal ball. He wouldn’t be able to talk his way out of this or con his way out of his crimes. He began to stir meaning my sleep spell was wearing off. His head moped upwards feeling pain from the wire. “What is this?” Smooth Talker in almost completely incomprehensible muttering said with fresh blood pouring from his mouth. The pegasus’ mouth was heavily wired up to his cheeks. His wings and hoofs were also bound by a similar web of barbed wire preventing much motion until he did what I wanted him to do. My noteworthy rug was in front of him and the back door exit was behind him. But I already knew how this was going to end. Smooth Talker looked at me when I said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Smooth Talker, I know everything. I find you incapable of being able to tell the truth. You swindle ponies out of their bits and property. You con ponies by carefully selecting them, then you research them, and plot to take everything from them. You destroy ponies’ lives and never do anything to help anyone else but yourself, wanting an easy life only for yourself. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” Smooth Talker tried to say something but it was inaudible. Probably to plead innocent, or it wasn’t his fault, or some other lame excuse. It was immaterial. I walked up to him with the knife levitating next to me. I put the blade in his mouth and quickly severed his tongue out against his resistance. He reeled back coughing up blood. I dropped the knife in front of him and the tension in the wire via pulleys let up giving him slack to get one hoof free. He picked up the night quickly. I informed, “Remove the rest of the wire from your muzzle and you will be free from the wire and will be able to move forward from your past and change your deeds from evil to good.” Without hesitation he used the blade to cut up his cheeks from his mouth to the jaw bone. In doing so the wire fell free, except for his wings that were still bound separately by wire, but that he could easily remove with his hooves, but Smooth Talker overlooked this fact due to the anger that filled his being. Instead he charged at me crossing over my rug hell-bent on revenge against me. Clearly he had not learned his lesson. Instantly a pony shaped cage with spikes slammed shut over him from beneath him, which closed over him from the left and right sides sealing over the top of him. It was an ancient device I found in the museum. It appears even the ancient ponies had ways of installing justice into a wild world of criminals and evil ponies. These evil ponies. The death traps I put them in. They just will not learn. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. All they had to do was leave and they would be changed into good ponies knowing that someone, a vigilante pony was watching them, instead they chose to attack their deliverer and activate the secondary trap. They just don’t get what I am trying to teach them. I waited for the cage to open and left with my knife and rug. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 The Fight //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 The Fight As a coincidence of fate, Princess Twilight, and her friends were in the Everfree Forest trying to help some local pony folk in Ponyville with some issues, which led them to the dark desolate and barren forest. It was destiny that Double Rainbow and the main six would cross paths here in the afternoon. Double Rainbow was flying overhead using the magic he possessed. He had the power to levitate himself and fly like a pegasus just without wings. Twilight and her friends were walking in single file line deep into the forest. Rainbow Dash was the pony who spotted Double Rainbow above. “What’s that up there?” She stated. “Is that a unicorn flying without wings?” Twilight looked up and exclaimed, “That the zombie pony we’ve been looking for. That’s Double Rainbow. The pony who is missing from the Stones of Tears.” Applejack asked, “Where’s he going in such a hurry?” Twilight said, “We need to stop him and find out.” Rainbow Dash stated, “Way ahead of you!” Rainbow Dash flew up into the air and floated in front of Double Rainbow’s path. Double Rainbow came to a standstill. “Be careful, Rainbow.” Fluttershy muttered. Twilight added, “Watch yourself, Dash. He’s got powerful magic.” Twilight noticed and recognized the horn on the pony’s head. It was the same secondary horn Rainbow Heart had on his head. It was clearly nailed back onto his forehead horn stump. Given the evidence before her, Twilight informed Rainbow Dash, “He also knows where Rainbow Heart is!” Pinkie Pie stated to Fluttershy, “You should probably go up and help her.” Fluttershy, scared and almost crying, commented, “I know. But I can’t.” Twilight took to the sky next to Rainbow Dash determined. Double Rainbow stated, “Out of my way Element of Harmony bearers. You impede my progress and the salvation of ponykind.” Applejack commented, “Somepony needs to get off their high horse.” Twilight exclaimed, “You’re the pony whose been killing all those other ponies aren’t you?” Double Rainbow informed, “I turn bad ponies into good ponies, if they can’t survive the transformation that is not my fault.” Applejack stated, “There you have it. Straight from the horse’s mouth.” Twilight ordered, “Surrender and come with us, if you resist, we’re gonna beat you!” Pinkie Pie comically stated to the sound of a drum and cymbal beat, “I don’t know. There’s really no point in beating a dead horse.” Double Rainbow chided, “Enough! You’re actions are void. It’s like backing the wrong horse in a one-horse race. I will win. My powers are greater than yours.” Twilight used the reverse zombie spell and struck Double Rainbow in the chest. Double Rainbow burst out laughing. “You idiot. I am too powerful for that!” Double Rainbow said. “But now you your fates are sealed.” Double Rainbow discharged a spherical rainbow colored energy blast that knocked the two fliers away from him. Pinkie Pie added, “Somepony is as strong as a horse. But his magic shouldn’t be that powerful. That’s alicorn power.” Fluttershy quietly stated, “Maybe we could all just go our own ways.” Rainbow Dash flew forward charging the floating unicorn in an attempt to spear him. Double Rainbow didn’t budge. Instead his horn flashed white light and in a moment Rainbow Dash bounced off of him like a bug on a windshield. She recoiled from the hit wondering what happened. When inspecting herself for injuries she realized that she had been turned into a filly. “Hey! What the?” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “That’s not fair! Fight pony to pony!” Twilight stated, “That’s impossible. No pony can do that.” “Behold. Nature has selected me to be the counter balance. This fight is in vain. You’re efforts are void and meaningless.” Double Rainbow informed. Applejack kicked a log into the air aimed at the floating unicorn. The log missed barely. Double Rainbow did not move an inch or flitch. Looking at the pony, a flash came from Double Rainbow’s horn and all of Applejack’s legs shrunk in size. She looked like a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. “What in tarnation?” She mentioned in disbelief. Rarity stated, “I’ve just about had enough of you, you decaying disgusting zombie pony.” Double Rainbow used his magical abilities to change her cutie mark to an overflowing garbage can. In a flash Rarity exclaimed, “I need garbage. I love garbage. I want to bathe in its beauty. There has to be some around here somewhere.” Rarity began searching for that which she craved the most garbage. Pinkie Pie shouted, “Hey, that looks like fun. Do me next.” Pinkie Pie was changed into a blue pony by the will of Double Rainbow. Pinkie Pie looked at herself and said, “That’s it? This sucks. I feel so blue, sad and depressed.” Looking at Fluttershy, a flash of white light came from his horn. Instantly Fluttershy was turned into a stallion, complete with Flutterguy voice. “This just isn’t right.” She muttered. Twilight stared in awe and disbelief unsure what to make of what she had just witnessed. She did not have any spells to combat this kind of sorcery and questioned if Celestia herself could be able to fight such magic. It did not stop her determination. Twilight braced herself to attack. Double Rainbow saw the sun getting lower in the sky. Double Rainbow exclaimed, “The darkness arises. There is not much time. Travel separates us from our journeys. Space is against us. In the end there will be salvation, even if you cannot bear witness to its glory or understand it. The darkness of disharmony rises and I will reformat it!” Double Rainbow undid his spells and left in a wink disappearing. “Farewell.” Was all Double Rainbow said. Twilight informed her friends, “We’re gonna need a new strategy.” //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7 Revenge //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7 Revenge The night was upon Ponyville. It was crisp and cool, especially in the dark castle I was in. The castle was historical. Thought to have belonged to the first pony queen, it held dark secrets. It contained an old dungeon in its depths. Once the queen had passed her daughter built another castle elsewhere and her mother’s castle was left forsaken. It wasn’t until much later that another scientist pony had used the castle as his house and laboratory. He ended up passing away under questionable circumstances and no one had returned to the castle ever since then unless it was to do historical research. Relics of old were contained in the castle. Many considered the castle haunted. The pony in front of me was named Hot Dog. He was a male earth pony who had done many bad things. He had a tan body with red mane, tail, and eyes. His cutie mark was a hot dog. Oddly, he had a brother named Chili Dog who was the exact opposite of him, a good pony. The masculine pony began to stir and shot awake and sprung up triggering pain. Hot Dog grunted in recoil and shouted, “What the fuck?” Hot Dog’s attention snapped to me when he heard my hooves clapping against the stone floor in rhythmic flow. The barb wire was strung around his nipples and around his hooves. My intricate web trap design made it impossible for him to leave until he cut off whatever I wanted him too. My rug was in front of him and the stairway to leave the building was behind him. I said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Hot Dog, I know everything. You kidnap innocent ponies of all ages and genders. In the privacy of your home in your hidden underground slave room you perform the many acts of BDSM, torture, rape, and murder. You killed them slowly dragging out the pain and misery. You are an animal. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” Walking forward towards him with my knife levitating in the stale air, “One of the tortures you put ponies though was removing their nipples. In order for you to leave here alive, you will have to suffer the same way your victims did.” “When I get out of here, I am going to kill you.” Hot Dog hostilely stated. I used the blade to cut and remove one of his nipples. Hot Dog grunted in pain but held most of it in. I dropped the knife in front of him and walked to the other side of the rug. Like an enraged bull, Hot Dog could have cared less about his nipples and only was concerned about killing the pony in front of him. Hot Dog picked up the blade and quickly cut off his other remaining nipple. He ripped the remaining barbed wire from his body and dashed forward. Hot Dog didn’t plan on killing him right away, he was going to make this white unicorn suffer for days, maybe weeks, a month if he could manage it. While crossing on my rug he activated a sophisticated trap I had made. Sharp swords swept out from the walls lickety split, four of them, and they dismembered all of his legs. Falling to the ground from the amputations, an axe fell from the ceiling decapitating Hot Dog like a guillotine. It was the most elaborate trap I had made yet. It was certainly more mechanized too. I took my knife and rug and left. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8 My Love //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8 My Love Roadkill was watching Rainbow Heart never taking her eye off of him for more than a few seconds. It was going okay. He had attempted to hurt himself a few times but she managed to stop him. Incidents of him laughing and gigging for no reason had also went down dramatically, meaning she thought he was getting better. Rainbow Heart would also go through different fits of emotions sometimes crying, other times angry, often being happy, and the like with other emotions. They seemed to be dying down as well. If that was the case then perhaps she would be able to leave soon. Roadkill was able to find some water and used the bread to make some real sandwiches with the little that there was in the kitchen. She dared not venture further than the kitchen and dining room, even with Rainbow Heart next to her side, because the fortress was unknown to her and it could be like navigating a dark labyrinth, a twisting maze that was in ruins and full of dangers. Rainbow Heart right now was playing with vinyl collectible figure kid toy ponies based on all four types of ponies, earth ponies, unicorns, pegasi, and alicorns with various colors, genders, and cutie marks. Roadkill was laying on the ground just watching him play with his toys like a mother would to a foal. From time to time, Rainbow Heart would use his magic to summon an orange tentacle or two to assist him in playing with the figurines following a made up impromptu storyline. “Honey, I’m home.” Double Rainbow exclaimed walking into the dining area Rainbow Heart didn’t pay attention. He was too busy playing with the ponies. Roadkill stood up and looked at Double Rainbow who walked over to her. “Thought I’d check in to see how you two were doing and getting along.” Double Rainbow informed. Roadkill stated, “Rainbow Heart’s doing really good. I think he might be getting better. His laughing fits and emotional outbursts seem to be happening less and less.” “Has he hurt himself at all?” Double Rainbow asked, looking over Rainbow Hearts body visually. Roadkill instantly said, “No, he hasn’t. He tried to but I prevented him from doing it to himself.” “Good, for your family’s sake.” Double Rainbow stated. Roadkill slightly receded a little with a look of uncertainty on her face. Double Rainbow’s attention returned to Rainbow Heart who was on the ground playing with the toys. “Heart, ready for horseplay?” Double Rainbow exclaimed. Rainbow Heart excitedly said, “Horseplay! We can horse around now!” Rainbow Heart got up and rushed over in front of Double Rainbow. They rubbed their muzzles together and kissed. Rainbow Heart got halfway up resting on the table using only his front legs. Double Rainbow wet himself and mounted Rainbow Heart doggy style. Roadkill was unsure what was about to happen but had a pretty good idea. She looked away trying to ignore the moans and groans of pleasure. This was something she didn’t want to witness. Roadkill was thinking if two ride on a horse one must ride behind the other. After what sounded like Double Rainbow achieving, there was some scurrying around. Roadkill assumed they were switching positions and the love noises continued. It sounded like Rainbow Heart climaxed and they stopped. True love sex disgusted Roadkill. Then again she had never had a boyfriend who was worth a damn. Double Rainbow told Rainbow Heart to keep playing with his toys and Rainbow Heart got back to where he left off with his pony toys. Double Rainbow looked at Roadkill and stated, clearing his throat, “I will return. Watch him carefully.” Roadkill looked at Rainbow Heart and continued her watchful gaze. She saw that Rainbow Heart had stopped playing with the pony figures. He was staring straight at the wall, perhaps still experiencing the cooling off period after sex. I gazed at the wall, my memories were returning to me in small batches. It was like a whirlwind of emotions and experiences reliving some of my best and worst memories. I was still in lull from the love making. Perhaps it was the sex I just had with my love that brought about the next series of flashbacks. Double and I were standing next to each other with one leg over each other’s shoulders on the street of Canterlot with the Canterlot Castle in the background. We were smiling and dressed for a wedding. I had given my camera to another pony who took a picture of us with a flash of light. “Here you go.” The mare said, handing me my camera. I said politely, taking the camera and putting it around my neck with the strap, “Thanks, for your help.” “No problem.” The mare said walking away. Like many ponies we were there to witness the wedding. It’s not every day a princess of Equestria gets betrothed. We had contemplated getting married ourselves. In fact most of the conversation that day was in reference to the possibility of it. Then it happened. Like bats out of a cave, these creatures called changelings sprung from the castle and began attacking ponies everywhere in the city. Chaos enveloped the streets. Most ponies fled but a few brave souls stood their ground and fought against impossible odds. Double and I were trying to flee and were caught in the middle of the mess and the insanity that developed. We were weaving our way through the streets and alleys. We thought if we could get to the castle gates we could hide deep in the forest. We never made it there. A horse pulled carriage was out of control, being pulled by a manic horse who was fleeing in panic. A sword from a royal guard had landed on the wheel guard and was lodged securely in its place. The horse drawn carriage with the exposed blade banged and clambered down the street road. We hearing it approaching us at a street intersection, stopped to let it cross in front of us. It rushed past us dangerously close. It was here, Double Rainbow’s neck was cut by the exposed blade. “What a jerk!” I said. I looked at Double Rainbow. Both of his hooves were on his throat and blood was gushing from his neck. “Are you okay?” I asked rushing towards him. In a moment double Rainbow collapsed to the ground. “No!” I screamed in a panic. I picked him up using my magical horn and rushed to the nearby hospital streets away. I burst through the door of the emergency room which was filled with recently injured patients. “My mate needs help!” I shouted racing to the counter top to talk to the nurse. The nurse looked at the injury and shook her head looking at me. She looked down in shame knowing there was nothing she could do for the injured unicorn. “I’m sorry. There is nothing we can do. That was a fatal injury. He’s dead.” The nurse said sympathetically. Tears flowed like a waterfall down my cheeks. I couldn’t speak. “Bring him and come with me.” The nurse said. I complied. She brought me to a room and I laid his corpse on the bed. The kind nurse said, “I have to get back to the desk, we’re swamped at the moment. We’ll take care of his arrangements in a little while. Until then you can stay here with him.” The nurse left and I rested my head on his lifeless face, sitting on the floor. I wept. A few hours passed and I wondered if they had forgotten me. I was laying in the bed next to him, cuddling with my deceased lover. I was going to miss him. I took the scalpel I had taken from the medical drawer and cut off my mate’s horn. It was the only thing I was going to be able to remember him by. I got out of the bed and tossed the scapula away. A few hours later at night the nurse returned and entered the room. We took care of all the formalities and paperwork. She didn’t even noticed I had removed my love’s horn. The disaster was over. I rode the train back to Ponyville alone. It was a long quiet walk from the train station back to our house. I overly drank and smoked. I went to the spa the next day to work, but my performance was sluggish and a few ponies complained to the two spa pony managers who talked to me and asked that I go home early to recover from the recent events. A few days later, Double Rainbow’s funeral and burial took place. I took it hard. A few weeks later, I resigned from the spa because of my addictions. I worked as a night watchman for a while, contemplating what to do. I met with Night Wish and asked her if she had any books on magic. Figured I’d read to try and get my mind off of things. She had a few and there wasn’t anything useful I them. Then on one night, it happened. There I drank alcohol and smoked cigarettes. I looked at Double Rainbow’s sharp pointy horn. I held it next to my chest using magic from my horn, which made it glow orange. I pulled it slightly away to build up speed and momentum. I was going to ram it through my heart. Tonight I was going to be with my lover no matter what. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and let it out. I shot the horn towards my heart. I expected it to strike me and waited but it didn’t. I opened my eyes. The horn was being held back by a rainbow aurora, the same kind of glow that Double Rainbow’s horn glowed when it was used by him. But that was impossible. Double Rainbow was dead. No pony from beyond the grave can influence the living, including a unicorn and his horn. The love of Double Rainbow would not allow me to commit suicide even from the grave and in death, somehow his horn was being controlled by his soul. I let up my magic unsure of what was going on. It was then the horn shot at my head, its magic overpowering mine when I tried to stop its forward progress, the horn flipped around, and mounted its base into me by slamming into my forehead above my own horn. It felt like a sharp rock had been thrown and struck me in the head. I collapsed. I got up and looked in the mirror. Double Rainbow’s horn had merged with me. I sensed an incredible amount of energy and power cursing through my body. I had no idea Double Rainbow had this much magical ability. Something weird was going on here. Double Rainbow was trying to tell me something. It was then I read my mate’s Book of Shadows. I learned a lot of interesting spells in the process. I was sure it did not contain all of his spells though. One in particular stood out. The zombie spell. I knew what I had to do. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 9 The Trap //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 9 The Trap The moon was out in the dark sky reflecting its light below. It was now midnight. I felt refreshed seeing my mate. It reminded me why I was doing this. I was in an abandoned house near Ponyville. The pony in front of me was a female pegasus. Her name was Taco Salad. She had a purple body with pink mane, tail, and eyes. Her cutie mark is a Taco Salad. Taco Salad began to move around a little. She would be up soon. My barbed wire was entangled in her wings, but loosely. The main area that was wrapped was her rear hoofs that kept her stationary. In front of her was my iconic rug and behind her was the entrance door to the house, her exit. Taco Salad woke up and slowly got up confused, quickly realizing her rear hoofs were bound in painful wire. “Who did this to me?” She asked. I walked forward towards her, saying, “I did it.” Taco Salad noticed me. I continued, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Taco Salad, I know everything. You are an addict. You smoke, drink, and do every illegal drug in the underground marketplace. Not only do you fly under the influence of these intoxicants, which has harmed other ponies, you lie, steal, and cheat to pay for your addictions, taking advantage of other ponies. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” “Please, give me a second chance. I can change. I promise.” Taco Salad begged. “You must face justice.” I exclaimed. I walked over to her nearest bound rear hoof with my knife levitating. Taco Salad tried to get away from me, but could not move very far. She flapped her wings to try and fly away but only got pain and gushing blood instead. I grabbed her hoof with mine and using my magic sawed it with the knife. She screamed in fear and pain. I did not stop until it was completely off. The limp limb fell to the floor. I dropped the knife in front of her and walked around to the other side of my rug. The slack in the line allowed her to move her front hoof. She figured out what needed to be done. Taco Salad took the knife and hesitantly, but eventually after a great deal of time started by slowly cutting herself and then slowly increased in speed until she was vigorously sawing through her own hoof. It was severed and she was released. In a fit of revenge, she crawled at me with hostile intent still armed with the knife but completely unaware of the trap. Upon stepping on the rug it activated another more highly mechanized trap. My devices were definitely getting more complicated, complex, and sophisticated. There were more gears being involved too. It was a mix match of parts, some were old some were new, but they still worked together. The sound of gears grinding caused her to stand up the best that she could. A mechanism sprouted up through the floor at chest level with a syringe and needle device designed to stab her in the heart and drain her dry, which it did. It sucked her blood from her body and into a tube. She shrieked when the needle penetrated her heart but she did not last long, being impaled on the needle and having her blood pumped out of her body by her own heart. None of these evil and deceptive ponies were willing to change. None of them. Oh well. I picked up my rug and knife and was off to my next appointment. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11 Payback //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11 Payback The morning was warm as the sun was still rising. It was another day to save pony’s lives. I eagerly waited for the evil pony to awaken. I was at an amusement park. It was not in use until later on today. The amusement park was like a carnival and a circus combined together, but also had much more entertainment like rides, games, and other stuff like an amusement park. I had always enjoyed coming here for their holiday special events, they would reformat the place with the appropriate theme. The smell of sugary sweets was in the air. I had one of their prized employees who needed to be taught not to do evil things. We were in one of the tents. Before me was a male unicorn who was a clown pony. Oddly his brother was a mime pony for the same amusement park. Laughing Stock was had a teal body with blue mane, tail, and eyes. Hairs were dyed rainbow colors and he had white face paint and other clown colored markings. He had been a naughty pony. It wouldn’t be long before he woke up and met his maker, due to the fact Laughing Stock appeared to be moving more. My friendly barbed wire was strung around his hooves, but also connected to his eyes, delicately. He would see the error of his ways soon. The tent exit was behind him and my special rug was in front of him. Laughing Stock woke up. Feeling pain and mostly unable to see, Laughing Stock shouted, “Help! I’m hurt! Help me! Please! Somepony! Anypony!” After feeling the sharp wired connected to his eyes he barked, “My eyes! I can barely see.” I stepped forward and said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Laughing Stock, I know everything. You loved what you did here at this amusement park, but after someone accused you of a crime, you become very hurt and wanted vengeance against everyone who stepped hoof in this facility. You poisoned the food and beverages from time to time, making all kinds of ponies sick as well as some of them even dying. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” “You got the wrong pony. That wasn’t me. I swear!” Laughing Stock pleaded. I laughed, “You’re a real funny clown.” I walked up to him with my knife floating in the air. I jammed the blade into his eye and cut it out. He screamed in pain. Upon removing the eye from the socket it allowed one hoof of his to move. I dropped the knife in front of him. I informed, “In order to get out of that device and really change your ways, you must use the knife I have dropped in front of you to remove the other eye. Only then can you be free.” I moved to the other side of the rug. Laughing Stock panicking was on the ground trying to feel for the knife with his front hooves. He found it and after a moment of thinking about what was going on and what he was doing, he carefully inserted the knife into the socket and circled around the eyeball before pulling it out and cutting its cord. It was very painful and he shouted in tremendous agony. Once he was freed, I said, “Now you are special. You have the ability to move on from this and use your talents and abilities for good.” Listening to my voice, he pinpointed where I was at and charged at me in blind rage. Crossing my rug was a big mistake. Similar to my last device, a sizable syringe shot out of the ground and injected him with a poison. The automatic syringe penetrated his body and injected the lethal substance. After a few painful moments of lurking around, he passed away. I grabbed my knife and rug and moved on to my next target. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 12 Clueless //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 12 Clueless Tracker had hiked all night to the old fortresses in the Everfree Forest. He had entered the second one, after he had already searched the first one without finding any evidence of the fugitives. These places were dangerous. These ruins were all in bad shape like death traps. All of the victims were killed within a thirty mile radius of this area of the Everfree Forest. There were only few ponymade structures in the area, but he wasn’t ruling out the possibility of natural formations they could be hiding in as well. The massive fortress would take a few hours to check and clear. Tracker crept in like a mouse. All he wanted to do was find the lair. His challenge was to sneak into surrounding places that might be used as a base of operations, find evidence of Rainbow Heart or Double Rainbow, and then return to Ponyville to get the information to Princess Twilight. She would be able to get the emergency information to Princess Celestia. Tracker had a flashlight, but didn’t use it yet. The morning light was good enough at the moment. The deeper he went, the more he would have to use the flashlight. These old places always gave ponies the creeps. This is why most ponies never ventured anywhere near them. It was a slow process to quietly maneuver around the winding hallways and rooms. The attack came from behind. A blow directly to the back of Tracker’s head knocked him unconscious. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 Wakey Wakey //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 Wakey Wakey It was now the afternoon. I was in an old Insane Asylum for ponies with mental issues. The place was closed years ago due to some terrible things. I was here for a reason. To bring an evil pony to justice. I had spent a little time here when I was young. It was not a pretty place back then either. Unspeakable crimes happened here, that’s all I will say about it. The pony in front of me was a male pegasus pony named Sewer Swimmer. He had an orange body with blue eyes, mane, and tail. His cutie mark was a Sewer Cover. After he got fired from the sewer system department, Sewer Swimmer came here to work. That is when he became an evil pony. Sewer Swimmer jerked back and forth, I knew he would be up soon. My lovely barbed wire was secured to his hooves and connected to his ears. His wings were also bound by the wire but it wasn’t as tight. It was just designed to keep him from flying away. My rug was in front of me and the door to leave not only the room but the facility was behind him. Sewer Swimmer got up and tried to fly away frantically, but my wire made him bounce back, the barbs digging in deeply caused fresh blood to flow from his injuries and pain to fire thought out his body. “I’m caught! Help!” Sewer Swimmer barked desperately. I stepped forward with my knife levitating. The sound of my hooves on the floor caused him to jerk his head towards me. I said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Sewer Swimmer, I know everything. You verbally, physically, and sexually abused patients. You even caused overdoses of medication on some of them in order to kill them to cover up your crimes. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” Sewer Swimmer yelled, “I did not do any of that! You have no proof!” I informed, “You don’t remember me, do you? It doesn’t matter, I know the things that you have done here. You will not change until you realize that there are consequences for your actions.” Sewer Swimmer tried to escape. It was pointless. I was standing in front of him. I grabbed his ear against his will and using the magic of my horn cut one of his ears off. Sewer Swimmer tried to fight back but couldn’t get his hooves free. One of his hooves became free after I severed the ear. He tried to hit me. I dropped the knife in front of him and walked around the other side of my rug. “Free yourself by removing your other ear. Then go out into the world and make a difference for the better.” I said. Sewer Swimmer upset, picked up the knife with his hoof and while holding it with his other hoof sawed his own ear off. In doing so, his other hoof became free. With anger swelling inside him, he ran towards me. He stepped on my ornamental rug and instantly fell through a hole in the floor. It activated a device below and turned it on. Sewer Swimmer fell into a large industrial sized meat grinder. I rigged the kitchen device to turn and keep turning when the rug was pulled. With screams of pain, Sewer Swimmer was ground up and came out the other end looking like ground beef. I stared looking down through the hole, “I call this Karma, you call it revenge, and society calls it justice. This is payback for all the evil you have done.” I grabbed my knife and my rug and left. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 14 Rest In Peace //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 14 Rest In Peace Roadkill was very sleepy not having gotten much sleep. She was watching Rainbow Heart sleeping away on his spa table with his plushies. She had closed her eyes for an hour or so earlier when Rainbow Heart first fell asleep. But her nerves wouldn’t let her sleep for very long. Even though she had no windows, she could tell it was in the evening. The only modern device in the room was a new clock. It ticked away rhythmically like a beating heart. It was then that Double Rainbow walked into the dining room. He didn’t say anything. He walked over and checked Rainbow Heart who he could tell was sleeping quietly. He turned his attention to Roadkill. Double Rainbow motioned for her to follow him and she obliged. Roadkill was taken back to the den she had first woken up in. Using the magic of his horn, he lit the wood in the fireplace giving the room more life. The room was slightly different than before, there was a rug in the middle of the room. It was then in a flash, Double Rainbow used his magic and barbed wire zoomed out of nowhere and encircled her binding her hooves and gouging connectedly to her nose. She was trapped. Double Rainbow turned to face her, a knife appearing next to him. Double Rainbow said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you Roadkill, I know everything. You abused, killed, and sexually engaged with animals. Mainly because you despised your cutie mark and your job. You are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.” “I did what you said. You said you’d let me go!” Roadkill shouted. Double Rainbow said, “I selected you for a reason. Because you need to learn a lesson.” Double Rainbow approached her with the knife. He jammed it into her nose and cut straight up it dividing it in half and then continuing to cut around it to be able to remove half of it. Roadkill bled as one of her hooves became free. Double Rainbow dropped the knife in front of her and he went around to the other side of the rug. “I will allow you to leave, but not until you learn that evil hurts others. Only then can you change your ways.” Double Rainbow said. Crying, Roadkill picked up the knife and finished what Double Rainbow had started. All she wanted to do was leave. If this is what she was going to have to do to leave, then she was going to have to do it. The rest of her nose fell to the ground. “You lied to me!” Roadkill barked. “I’m gonna kill you.” Roadkill began to run towards Double Rainbow. It was then Rainbow Heart dashed into the room. He sideswiped Roadkill and pushed her to the floor. Rainbow Heart jumped over the rug, and rushed towards his lover. In a second, he penetrated his lover. Rainbow Heart had speared Double Rainbow in the chest, specifically the heart, with his horn. Rainbow Heart had returned to normal. Rainbow Heart said, “This ends here. No more dead ponies! I love you.” Double Rainbow, reeling, replied, “I love you too.” Rainbow Heart discharged an orange magical energy blast from his horn. It knocked Double Rainbow back against the wall where he banged the back of his head against the wall knocking him out. Rainbow Heart picking up the rug with his mouth revealed the trapdoor mechanism, which would have made her fall into a cage and activate primitive guns with bullet projectiles that would have killed her. Roadkill got up and looking where the rug was said, “I would have been killed. You saved me.” Rainbow Heart informed, “I don’t want any harm to come to anypony.” Rainbow Heart wrapped Double Rainbow in his yin and yang rug, wrapping it around him. Rainbow Heart then then put Double Rainbow on his back, carrying him with Double Rainbow’s legs still visible and hanging around Rainbow Heart’s body. “You need to leave and get as far away from this place as you can.” Rainbow Heart said. Roadkill bloody answered, “Thank you.” Roadkill blasted out the door running towards freedom. Rainbow Heart used a transportation spell he had learned from his lover’s magic book. Burying Double Rainbow back in his underground bed and stone pillow at the Stones of Tears would not suffice. Rainbow Heart needed to do something more extreme to be sure that his love would never be able to come back from the dead and harm ponies. I teleported to the Ponyville Funeral Home. I had been here once before for the very same reason, my dead lover. I walked into the funeral home. The mortician approached me. “Can I help you?” He asked. “Take me to your cremator, now!” I stated. The undertaker said, “Oh, well, we can schedule an appointment for it to be used.” Noticing the dead pony on my back, informed, “It’s highly unusual that someone brings a dead pony here by themselves. Do you have hospital paperwork like a death certificate?” My horn and eyes glowed orange, I exclaimed “Don’t make me hurt you!” “Okay, I’ll take you to the cremator.” The mortician uneasily chocked out. No doubt all the injuries to my body terrified and intimidated him. Clearly I was trouble and dangerous. We arrived at the crematorium room. The device was still on. I carefully put Double Rainbow inside it and took the rug I had given him as a gift. I lowered my head next to his. Our horns cross each other, laying our heads together. It was the last time I would ever see my mate again in this form. I knew Double Rainbow was still alive, but he was a zombie. I pushed his body halfway into the device with the flame burning in the back of the machine. I enlisted the help of the mortician who closed the door and showed me how to activate the machine. I hit the big red button to activate it. Clearly, Double Rainbow had awakened while inside the device and started banging with his hooves on the machine. The mortician exclaims, “He’s alive! We got to get him out of there!” The mortician tried to shut it off. I stopped him and commented, “If you do that you will regret it.” The mortician took the hint. I walked over to the side and opened the window slider. Double Rainbow was looking at me and I was looking at him with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. We put our hooves on the window together in the same spot. It wasn’t long before Double Rainbow was cremated to ash. The mortician turned off the machine and collected the ash into a bag and put it in an urn. I was given the urn from the mortician. Then something bizarre happened. Rainbow energy began to radiate from the urn. It was then Double Rainbow’s energy, soul, magic, and power entered me. It was Double Rainbow’s spirit, the good karma from his life, and the evil energy from his zombie life. I was changing. My body was in a process of transformation with a rainbow of colors shinning from me. The urn fell to the ground but landed perfectly not spilling the ash out. Meanwhile, the mortician hid scared and confused. While the energy transfer occurred and I began to transform, Double Rainbow’s voice raced through my head, “I foresaw all of this. Now is the moment to achieve our goals. We will be together forever as one. We will slay the villains who have harmed ponykind.” I said, “By my will revenge will belong to everypony!” Once my body was finished changing and the rainbow lights receded back into me, I heard Double Rainbow’s voice in my head again say, “Awaken, Rainbow Moon. We are ready.” I gazed upon myself using my reflection on the side of the metal device. I was a black alicorn, with rainbow colored mane and tail with purple eyes and hoofs. My cutie mark was a full moon encircled by a rainbow. My magic was symbolized by rainbow energy, including my attacks and defenses. I was still Rainbow Heart, but I was now Double Rainbow fueled. Before me was the yin and yang rug all bloody and torn. I used magic on it. The rug transformed into armor and mounted on my body. It contained a yin and yang symbol on the chest with a sun on the left white side and a moon on the right black side for dots and the circular symbol was surrounded by a round rainbow. I looked into a mirror in the room to get a better look at myself. I looked gorgeous. I walked up to the mortician who thought I didn’t know where he went. He was horrified at what he witnessed. I said, “You are to go to Princess Celestia and inform her of what you have witnessed. Behold, my name is Rainbow Moon and I will carry on the work of Double Rainbow. Be gone and perform this task!” The mortician scattered from the room posthaste. I took Double Rainbow’s cremains and warped to the Stones of Tears. Using a shovel with my magic, I buried the urn in his old grave. Double Rainbow had been laid to rest, but he was still with me. His essence, his spirit, his magic, his power, his being was all with me. As a result, I was more powerful than ever before. There would be no more brutalizing bad ponies. It was the villains that caused the Stones of Tears and they are the ones who needed to be punished. “By my will revenge will belong to everypony!” I, Rainbow Moon, stated. “The darkness of disharmony rises and I will reformat it!” //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 Conclusions //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 Conclusions Tracker had just gotten done with a meeting with Princess Twilight Sparkle who personally updated him and gave him a first hoof account of the Double Rainbow encounter, knowing that he was the one who was handling all investigations for the princesses. A lot of this was making sense to him now. He investigated the pony murders by Double Rainbow. It appears he captures ponies, binds them with barbed wire, injures the victims himself once, and then makes the victims injure themselves in the same manner that he inflicted on them in order to release them from their bindings. Enraged and vengeful they attack Double Rainbow. They fall for his trap and a secondary device kills them. Oddly, while investigating the scenes, it appears that the exits for them to leave are directly behind them and do not appear to be booby trapped. So if the ponies just walked away, they could have survived these incidents. But why these ponies? Tracker had not been able to determine why Double Rainbow had chosen these victims. Additionally, the traps were getting slightly more sophisticated with each death crime. More bodies were being discovered at an alarming rate. It was getting out of control. However, this new information that Twilight provided would be useful. He believed he had narrowed down where the possibility of Double Rainbow’s Lair may be, based on the location of the victims. The fact that Twilight had intercepted Double Rainbow at this specific location was interesting. Nearby by twenty-five miles or so was some old fortresses used during the Great Pony War in the past. However, there were many caves and other natural hiding places as well. There were also some old secret temples from previous pony civilizations in the area. Tracker was going to have to explore the entire area. It was what he specialized in doing and was his special talent. Tracker was ready to hunt Double Rainbow down. Tracker had to hurry it up. The bodies of ponies were piling up.
