The Meeting (Prologue)

Trixie stomped through the puddles in the dark cave. She didn't understand why of all places a dark, dirty, damp and dangerous place like this was good for a meet up.  She'd been wandering for what must of been hours with no hope of finding her new comrade.

"Who is it?!"

Trixie froze. Was this who she was meeting? There was only one way to find out.

"It is the Great, and POWERFULL Trixie!" she replied, so loud that it echoed throughout the caverns of the caves.

A unicorn emmerged the shadows, smiling. "Trixie. Brilliant, so I suppose you have the ingredients?"

"Of course." Trixie replied, fetching a few things from her saddlebag, presenting them to the unicorn, "The GREAT and POWERFUL Trixie is always reliable when it comes to Twilight Sparkle!" She spat out the princess' name like it was an unwanted fly.

"Let's start."

Trixie let out a worried laugh, "Well, umm, ha... Are you sure we should start right away? I mean, this is dark-"

"I am aware of that. It's worth it." the unicorn replied.

Trixie nodded and handed her an amulet. "This better work," she warned the fellow unicorn, "It was quite hard for me to retrieve this. Of course, nothing the GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE couldn't handle!"

The unicorn just raised her eyebrows and carried on. "Next."

Trixie rolled her eyes and passed the unicorn a book.

"'Daring Do and the Saphire Stone.' Hmm, a good read that one." The unicorn tossed it behind her, next to the amulet. She looked at the next items, two different shoes, and frowned. "How'd you get these?"

"Somepony left it"

"I believe that."

Trixie handed the unicorn the last item, a flower. The unicorn smiled.

"The Alicorn Amulet, and possessions from all four princesses." they recited. "You have done well."

Trixie rolled her eyes at the limited praise. "What now?"

"Simple," the unicorn replied, "We need about 20 or more ponies, the more, the better. We can find them in the neighbouring town."
