Fredbear, or Golden Freddy, isn't exactly the nicest person around.
Being a child's restless soul had nothing to do with it, really - he was just easily provoked, especially by challenges. He was designed to be a perfect person, so why would he fail at anything?
So, of course, losing all of his fingers, his bipedal body and most of his talents would tick him off massively.
I hope Equestria has an anger management course, because they are definitely not ready for Freddy… Golden Freddy, that is.
