Chapter 1:Home Sweet Home
I grit my teeth and stayed still waiting for the order. "Ready Pvt.Blitz?" I looked over to see my trustycompanion."Ready as ever Sgt.Lopez." At this point he moved his hand in a way as if saying "go" we moved crouched for about 10 feet then he signaled for us to stop. "Halt infantry up ahead!" he whispered loud enough for our squad to hear. "Get your weapons ready boys its show time." I said holding my M1 Garand rifle in the palms of my hands. I then held the weapon over my eye to where the infantry commander was saying orders and aimed at his head.
*"Alright Gameblitz on the count of three ready?"* I said to myself in my mind *"1...2...3!"* I pulled the trigger and the shot ran out and the bullet went through the commanders head splattering blood and brain matter everywhre....

I awoke to a calm song on the radio and a snowy night in front of me. "You alright kiddo you look like you've seen a ghost." I jumped up a little and realized I wasnt driving. "Hehe your a jumpy one ain't ya?" I looked over the seat to see a chibby man with a five o'clock shadow on his face and a steerimg wheel in jos hands. "So kid you gonna answer me the question did you or did you not see a ghost?"
"No... but I think I made more than one in Italy." "Wait Ital... Holy shit your from the army ain't ya!" "Yep names Gameblitz but my friends call me me 'Blitz'." "So whats with the creepy stare at the street let me guess remembering the war?" "Pretty much it was just so...." I looked at him waiting for my answer but I responded differently "nevermind its too painful to say what I did." "Don't worry I wont press ya about it ma' pop was in the war back in 13' and he came back just like you just staring at nothing he said the same thing everytime I asked him whats wrong he said...."
"I get it alright its your business not mine but still thanks for the ride back to my place." I said as we stopped near a familiar place I remembered. "So how much?" "Its on the house I have you to thank you for giving me the remembrance of my pops so Ill give ya' a freebie alright?" "Thanks!" "Dont mention it." He said and the taxi drove away in the snowy horizon of thick snow fog.
I walked around the corner and saw it my old apartment complex. "Ah home sweet home." I said with a sigh and walked up the the entrance but before I got inside the warm cozy entrance of the complex someone stopped me. "Blitz your back buddy!" "Hey Lightning how have you been buddy!" I hugged the blue coated pegasus in the raincoat and fedora. "So what happened you didnt respond to my letters I thought you was dead!" "I was busy also I almost got killed and the medics in Italy had to keep me on mophine for the wound in my torso!" "Geez sorry buddy just wanted to know how was it over there tell you what you go upstairs to bed and tommorow Ill take ya out for some drinks waddaya say?" "I say thats a great idea so what time will you gonna pick me up?" "Just go to bed I'll call you alright!" he said as he left into the foggy snow horizon like the taxi.
I walked upstairs and ran into a beautiful girl and said "Excuse me ma'am." "No need to be so formal handsome" she said as she walked down the stairs. "I wonder whats her name?" I continued upstairs until I reached the fifth floor,after that I walked down the cracked wall hallway until I reached a familiar door with a mat at the foot of the door that said "Home Sweet Home" I said as I knocked on the door and heard a familiar voice. "Coming!" the voice said as I heard the footsteps coming closer and closer towards the door. Iheard a set of locks opening "1...2...3 aaannnddd..."
I saw the door swing open a a girl of about 17 years of age look at me before screaming in joy my name. *Gasp* "Blitz your back,mama Blitz is back!" Iheard some more footsteps more slowerthan my sisters. *Gasp* "It really is you,Blitz my son your back!" "Hi Ma',Derpy how are you two?" "Well lets put it this big brother me and our ma' have been worried sick about you." "Well it was ma' fault I got sent to Italy to fight I didn't have a choice" "I told you that boy Lightning was a bad influence but did you listen,no you went out to steal and get yourself in trouble and look where it lead you!" "I know ma' you raised me better than that."
After talking a bit more about bad influences and about how it was over in Italy my ma' asked me to come in. "Wow ma' its still the same as I remember it the same smell look and even the decorations." "Yes it still is you also know what is still the same?" "What else?" "Your room its the same way you left it with your baseball posters and even your clothes everything in fact is the same." I walked to a door that was behind me and opened it and fell into joy. *Gasp* It was exactly like my ma' said all the baseball posters the toys I had my closet full of my jackets and sweaters and even my favorite fedora hat. "Now enough of talk son your probably tired get some sleep." "Sure thing ma'" "We'll see you in the morning big brother." "You to Derpy." As she left I looked at those golden eyes of hers they were well derped she wad born like that but I never let that get to me and so did she,her sight problem never stopped her from growing up into the fine yough filly she is today. I lay back down on my bed and thought of all the fun times I've had with Derpy the time at the park,the time we first rode on a train and other fun memories. I said to myself in a very reliving way "Home Sweet Home."
