It was a sunny morning in the city of Canterlot. Princess Celestia had run off to do errands and Luna was just waking up. She yawned and stretched. Then she got out of bed and went down to the throne room. Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Cadance were there.
“What a surprise! Cadance, do you not have work to do in the Crystal Empire?” asked Luna.
Cadance shook her head. “Shining Armor is taking care of it. He wanted me to visit Twilight.” Luna nodded. “I see.”
They went upstairs and talked and stuff. Luna ate a breakfast of pancakes and after that she looked out the window. The wind blew sharply and it looked like it was going to storm. It had been like that lately. She didn’t know why and, frankly, she didn’t want to.
It was later in the day. Twilight was getting ready to go into the mirror and visit her friends from the other world. Luna sat in front of it watching her go in. As soon as Twilight disappeared into the mirror a crack of thunder sounded. Luna stepped outside. The clouds were so dark that she couldn’t see the blue of the sky. Ponies were running around screaming. The wind was so sharp that Luna’s mane blew in front of her face and her tail whipped around. She turned to go back into the castle when a sudden light caught her eye. There was a pony flying in the sky.
Twilight Sparkle stepped out of the mirror. As soon as she stepped out she knew things weren’t right. The clouds were dark and the wind was strong in the alternate world. Sunset Shimmer was running home. She caught sight of Twilight.
“Twilight! There’s a tornado warning come on! You have to get inside!”
She grabbed Twilight’s hand and pulled her up off of the ground. Suddenly the wind picked up a lot and Sunset Shimmer ran into the school. Twilight unfolded her wings and tried to fly. The wind blew her aside and she stuck to walking. She followed Sunset all the way to the cafeteria. It was very dark inside the school but they weren’t the only ones there. Students had stayed for study hall and to avoid the storm. But Principal Celestia had pretty much let them do whatever.
