Revenge Of The Great And Powerful Trixie

Previous Chapter

Trixie had a very successful and satisfying day. Aside from the pegasus, ponies genuinely thought she was different. She was an entirely new mare. Trixie walked into the inn room she had so recently acquired. The bed looked comfy enough, it had a nice view and the bathroom looked clean.

"Guess it was a good idea to buy that potion after all!" Trixie exclaimed. "I feel...great! I feel...reborn!" Trixie sighed. She fell into her bed like rain from the sky. "I feel like I cou-THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!!" Trixie immidiately put her hooves over her mouth. It was like those words came out involuntarily. As if someone else said those words out of Trixie's mouth.

"Heh...that's funny," Trixie said, embarrassed. "For a second there, I thought I said...THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TR-" Trixie covered her mouth once more. "Suddenly, I don't feel so well."

Trixie made her way to the bathroom sink. As with most sinks, there was a mirror on top of it. Trixie took a look at herself and then proceeded to splash her face with water. Surprisingly, she started to chuckle. The chuckling soon turned into a laugh. It grew louder and louder with each laugh until it sounded maniacal.

"THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!"

"What's...."

"HAPPENING!?"

"To m-"

"Trixie!"

Knock

Knock knock knock

"Rainbow! Rainbow Dash! Are you there?"

Rainbow sleepily got up from her warm bed to answer the door. The voice no doubt belonged to Twilight Sparkle, but what could she possibly want at this hour? At 10:30 PM?

"Rainbow Dash! Oh...you're up," Twilight said sheepishly as the door abruptly opened.

"Twi, it's 10 o' clock! I'm kinda sleeping here," Rainbow sleepily said.

"I know but...I'm worried about Trixie. After what you said today...she...she seems scared. I would really appreciate it if you went to the inn she's staying in and apologized,"

"Apologize? For what? She should apologize to us!"

"She did. Just to me. Maybe it was because...she was afraid of what would happen if she apologized to anypony else..."

"Alright! Enough with the guilt tripping! I'll go over."

"Oh thanks, Rainbow! I knew I could count on you!"

No sooner than she had said those words, Twilight took off and flew towards her castle. However, reluctant as she was, Rainbow knew she had a different route...

After a short flight, Rainbow found herself at the front steps of the inn. She went ahead and let herself in. Rainbow saw a white unicorn with glasses writing a couple of things down on her notepad. Every ten seconds she would look at the time, moan and do it again.

"Um...hello?" Rainbow patiently waited for an answer, but there wasn't one. "Ahem....HE-LLO!"

"I'm sorry, would you like to rent a room?" The unicorn slurred.

"Actually I'd like to see someone," Rainbow replied, growing more impatient.

"What's her name?"

"Trixie."

"Room A113. Please go away." Rainbow slowly walked away from the worker and bumped into a pony wearing a dark cloak.

"Hey! W-" Rainbow immediately recognized the pony's face. Her white mane was unmistakable. "Trixie?"

"What business have you with the Great and Powerful Trixie?!" The mare, now revealed to be Trixie, shouted.

"I-I...wait....Trixie? Wha?!" Rainbow was confused. Was she right all along? Was Trixie up to her old ways again? Rainbow Dash stood there frozen as Trixie smirked at Rainbow.

"That's quite all right. It's normal to be awe-struck at the Great and Powerful Trixie. Move aside, innocent bystander, for Trixie is here t-to...t.......where....where am I?" Trixie collapsed on the ground shortly after saying those words. What just happened, Rainbow thought. Suddenly Trixie was boasting at her, now she just fainted like she'd been in a desert for a day or two.

"Somepony! Anypony! Call some medics!" Rainbow yelled, looking around.

"'Scuse me, what?" The inn worker said. She looked up from her notepad.

"Didn't you see what just happened!?"

"Sorry, I only pay attention to things worth my time." The inn worker resumed writing on her notepad.

"Ugh! A PONY JUST FAINTED!" Rainbow shouted.

"Oh! Gosh! This could cost me my job!" The inn worker suddenly fidgeted around before dialing her phone dial clockwise and calling a number. "Yes? Yes this is Gusty! Gusty Wind from Winter Inn? Look, there's been an accident over 'ere! I need some help! Yeah, I'm sure you're on your way, just hurry!" Gusty hung up her phone.

"So, are they coming?" Rainbow asked, worriedly.

"Yeah. But they said it'd be fifteen minutes or so. Ugh. Customer service these days."

Rainbow rolled her eyes and checked Trixie's heart rate.

"So what'she? Yer marefriend or what?" Gusty asked.

"No way! She's...someone I met and...kinda...sorta...got mad at each other." Rainbow said. "Wait a second, where were you when the incident happened!?"

"I told ya, I only pay attention to things worth my time. As in: my job...and possibly somepony's life. I'll get a first aid kit in case she's got anything bleeding from anywheres." Gusty walked over to the other side of the room.

"Thanks."

"R....a....i...n...b...o..w."

Rainbow heard a small moaning. At first she thought it might be Gusty again, but she soon realized it was coming from Trixie.

"Trixie? Trixie! Try to wake up!" Rainbow encouraged.

"I...m...s...o...r...r..y," Trixie groaned.
