Devil's Due

  I have spoke these words so many times over the millenia I've been stuck in this stone prison, I understand them.

  I hate them too, over a thousand years just repeating these words over and over and over again. Until the occasional chat with Discord my next door neighbor, always a chatterbox him. Some days it was about candy and soap others it was about chaos and laughs. Don't get me started on the terrible jokes he made over the years. Why did I have to be stuck next to him? Did I kick a puppy in the past life?

  "Children, who can tell me who this statue represents?" Oh boy visitors, I notice it's a light lavender mare with three flowers upon her posterior. This will be good.

  One filly takes a good look at the base where I stand, she's got to be the smartest one of the bunch. (That's not saying much). She then looks back to me with a deep thought on her face... or she's trying to fart and not get caught.

  "They represent hunger!" The filly exclaims to the teacher? (I think the mare is a teacher). The older pony nods.

  "Very good, yes the statue here represents Darth Nihilus the Lord of Hunger. We don't know how he came to our world but if it wasn't for the bravery of the Jedi master Atris and the Princesses he might have went unopposed." Wait! Atris?! Is she alive?! My god I haven't seen her in years... my girlfriend became this world's savior? Well if I wasn't sealed in stone I would congratulate her, it would also help if I wasn't on the Equestrian most wanted list a thousand years ago. "Legends say that Atris resides at the very top of Canterlot mountain, waiting for the day when Darth Nihilus would reappear."

  Oh yeah... I did shout that when I was being sealed. Well first thing to do once I get out is look for her so long as her "Royal Highness" doesn't get all miffed at me strutting about. Oh who am I kidding, the moment I get out she's gunning for me. I just need the perfect opportunity now.

  'Hey there pal? I couldn't help but overhear your internal planning, need some help?' Discord had finally joined in.

  'What are you talking about Discord?' I asked through the force. I want all contact to cease but escape is something I cannot pass up on. 'This better be good.'

  'Well three little fillies just pasted by and they caused quite a bit of anarchy, and as much as I love to repeat your chant I said why not help a friend in need?' He replies to me, I can hear his smile. 'Whattda say pal?'

  'No tricks Discord, and fine I guess I'll go with whatever you're doing.' I regret those words. Just as long as it gets me out I'm good for now. I could find my beautiful girlfriend and hopefully have a nice chat that didn't end with me being stabbed, man I miss those days. Now to planning.

  (Princess Celestia Pov.)

  Today I swear I'll stop eating cake! I need to tone up a tad before I'm stuck in a doorway as Luna so delicately put it.

  I turned my head to the window when I saw the strangest of things once more. Cotton candy clouds pouring chocolate rain... Discord is free! I made my way to the throne room as fast as I possibly could, once there I waste no time writing to Twilight and her friends to come to Canterlot immediately.

  I can't believe Discord stuck to his word. Huh maybe he isn't such a bad guy after all. Oh well not my problem. Now to find my girlfriend who has absolutely no memory of me or our relationship! Each time I think that I get chills. Anyway back on target.

  My black robes flutter in the winds which make me look a million times more cool, I set off on my quest. I hope Sunbutt doesn't know I'm gone or this is gonna suck. Aw who am I kidding this is gonna suck because I have to walk all the way there... I hate walking.

  Since there was so much crap going on I doubt any of these ponies will even care about me.

  "Halt! You are trespassing on castle grounds." Spoke too soon. I turn to see who has called me. It's a male Unicorn with a blue mane and tail, he looks familiar. "Now follow us to the holding cells and we can all talk this out."

  I'm glad I have shadows and a mask hiding my face because they would have seen me smiling like a goofball. I mean I stand about four feet higher than them, I'm shrouded in a black robe, and I look like the boogeyman. Yet here these three are ordering me to just surrender before I even began, oh mercy me.

  They keep staring me down and I'm trying not to just out right laugh at them. Yep the scene of legends here folks. Finally I get myself under control and now I speak back to them.

  'No.' I can't speak with my mouth because it comes out sith language, I can't understand it and I somehow speak it.

  My "voice" scares the living daylights out of these kids and good they are going up against something older than their great grandparents with the power of the Force. They back away and let me by. I continue my trek to the gates of the city and hopefully up the freaking mountain. Joy.

  I look up at the path that extends to the heavens and remind of a beautiful song, but I need to climb up and talk with "Atris".

  I can't help but sigh when I think of her. She became the character through and through and sees me as a threat to all that exists. Still I'm not going to give up on her! So I began to make my way up.

  God I hate climbing more than walking! I'm praying that soon I can get to the dang top so I can just get this over with, or I may fall...  oh joy now that's stuck in my head. Screw it I am getting some rest.

  Being Nihilus has its perks, I don't feel the cold air as I pass the snow covering the ground. Now where to rest? Can't a Sith Lord find a place to sleep around here?! I don't know how long I keep walking up the path but I finally find a cave, I guess it'll do for now.

  I lumber in the dark hole in the earth for some much needed rest, and by rest I mean meditation. Drawback about being Nihilus, he never slept, yay, or really ate anything other than the life force of planets, living Deathstar with a lightsaber. Granted I do feed on life force but on things that aren't sentient creatures, I may be many things but a force vampire isn't really one of them. Oh well might as well get settled in for the night or day, whatever Discord's doing with the sun.

  ( Atris pov )

  I feel that he has returned.

  I told them that he would, but they didn't listen to me. Personally I'm glad to have found force sensitives on this world to teach just in case something like this would happen. I remade the Jedi order with permission from Princess Celestia as a way to combat Darth Nihilus should he return or if a problem that the Princess couldn't handle.

  I know you are awake Nihilus, I will not allow you to harm any being on this world like you did so long ago.

  How could I have been such a fool to think he was kind. Let me lower my guard before striking down the innocent in cold blood. Never again will he do so.

  "Master?" One of my Jedi approach me.

  "You felt it as well?" I ask even though I know the answer.

  "Yes we all felt it, so it is as you said." I can sense the apprehension in their voice. "Do you think after all this time the order is ready to face him?"

  "We couldn't be more ready." I answer back, I knew he would return. Training for the day when he would, and now I have a Jedi order ready to bring justice down upon a foe that Celestia was far too kind with. "Prepare the others, we make for Canterlot at dawn."
