"Applejack," Muffin asked, "can I go visit Rarity? She promised to teach me a few new stitches today."
"Well, you could go visit her house now," Applejack replied. "But by the time you got there, she'd probably be heading out. I didn't think you of all ponies could forget about one of Pinkie's parties."
"That's right! The party! I need to get ready!"
"Oh, Muffin, you look beautiful!" Fluttershy exclaimed. "It must have taken a lot to get you to even consider wearing something so formal, especially to one of Pinkie Pie's parties."
Muffin shook her head. "No. Actually I made it myself and I wanted to see what everyone else thought."
"Well you look really pretty in it."
"Muffin, Rarity wants to see how you look in your new outfit," Applejack called.
Muffin raced to her sister's side and stood still while Rarity inspected the dress at every angle. "Absolutely gorgeous. Very minimal mistakes. You truly have a knack for sewing. And you? Wearing this? You have an extremely split personality. I never thought I could catch you wearing this even to try it on!"
"And you didn't notice that until now?" Applejack asked.
"Not as much as I did just now. A tomboy one second and so very ladylike the next."
"She's the same way at home, too. She's racing around the track, then you go and check back on her in two minutes, and a glass of water is balanced perfectly on her head."
"Your sister truly is a beauty. I'd like to borrow her tomorrow. Huge order to fill and a very short amount of time to get all the outfits done."
"Please, please, please, please, please?" Muffin begged.
"Well..." Applejack hesitated. "...Okay. Just don't let her say anything bad about me behind my back."
"Don't worry, Applejack. I won't."
Pinkie Pie hopped over with an umbrella hat on. "You guys better watch out! Somethings gonna fall!"
Muffin didn't listen; she just assumed it was nothing. She walked over to the punch bowl to get a drink.
"Hi, Muffin," Rainbow Dash greeted kindly. "Interesting to see you wearing that."
"You say it like it's bad," Muffin replied. "And before you continue to say that Rarity is too fancy and made this dress way to sparkly and girly, I'd like to let you know that I'm the one who made it."
The pegasus choked on her drink. "You made that? You've always seemed like more of a tomboy to me."
"That's because whenever you see me, it's always when we're hanging out or you're babysitting me."
Rainbow Dash pondered this for a moment. "I guess that's probably right. Either way it looks...nice."
"I'm sorry to interrupt," Pinkie Pie announced, "but I guess Angel has gone missing and I'm ending the party early so we can go search for him."
Angel had gone missing again? This wasn't unlike him, but it was always a big deal because Fluttershy always made it a big deal. Oh, well, so the party ended way early. There would be others. Muffin headed out the door, wondering where Fluttershy's "precious" white bunny had run off to this time.
