“And you’re sure your friends will be okay without you for the week?” Celestia asked. Twilight had already told her for the tenth time that they could handle matters in her new castle for awhile, but Celestia just couldn’t stop herself from asking.

“Yes Princess Celestia…” Twilight replied with a groan. “And I’ve told them that if there’s an emergency to send a letter via Spike’s magic.”

“And you’re sure you can handle th-” Celestia tried to continue.

“Yes, sister, I can handle the throne for a week.” Luna laughed, gently nudging Celestia away. “You need a vacation more than anypony, and I’ll make sure you get a good one.”

“Well, Twilight will be with me. I’m sure that fact alone will make it all worth the while.” Celestia smiled back at Twilight, causing the shorter mare to blush.

“I’m s- sure it will be really fun!” Twilight stuttered slightly, trying to force herself to not sound like a teenage filly talking to her crush.

“Now, had you considered any place to be a suitable vacation spot?” Luna mused as she seemed to be lost in her own vacation spot thoughts.

Celestia put a hand to her chin. “Well, a beach sounds like a good place to start. Any ideas Twilight?”

“Um… I don’t really like beaches…” She mumbled.

“Oh, well that’s fine. I’m sure wherever you want to go, I’ll have just as much fun.” Celestia’s soothing laughter brought a smile to everypony’s face.

“Well, how about the Swiss Alps?” Twilight suggests.

“Ah, that sounds wonderful! A nice warm cabin in the icy mountain, sitting by the fireplace to warm up after a nice, relaxing roll in the snow.” Celestia sighed, vividly picturing the sight (for her, and everypony else).

“Don’t make me jealous, now.” Luna chuckled.

“We could try skiing!” Twilight quipped excitedly. “I heard it’s like flying without even needing to flap your wings!”

“That sounds marvelous!” Celestia seemed to bounce with just as much excitement. Luna rolled her eyes and shoved the two away with her magic.

“Quit acting like a high school group of valley girls and get to the train. It’s booked entirely for you two and will take you wherever.” Luna added.

“And our things?” Celestia asked.

“Already on board.”

“Thank you so much Princess Luna! Maybe soon you’ll be able to have your own vacation!” Twilight bows.

“Yes, yes. Now if you’ll excuse me, I must take care of some rather consequential paperwork.” Luna rolled her eyes, giving the two a gentle hug before walking away to her chambers. Celestia extended her hand and waited for Twilight to grab it.

“The Alps await!” Celestia’s smile was beaming. Twilight could tell how happy she was that the two were going to spend some genuine time together. That made Twilight feel a little tingly inside.

Taking Celestia’s hand, Twilight smiled back before being pulled into a hug. It was about ten minutes before they reached the train and were greeted aptly by the conductor. “Ah, there you two are! I take it the walk here wasn’t too bad?” He opened his arms in a greeting manner.

“Just fantastic.” Celestia nodded, motioning Twilight inside the train.

“Your lunch shall be served in thirty minutes, feel free to sit anywhere.” The conductor added, hopping aboard and making his way out of sight at the front of the train.

“I’m guessing we’ll take a room? It’s a long way to the Alps and-” Twilight paused. “Wait… it’s across an ocean. It’ll take a few days just to get there, between waiting for a ship or chariot suited for crossing the ocean, and then the actual travel time, and-”

Celestia shushed Twilight with a finger, averting the purple princess’ eyes to hers. “Twilight…”

“S- Sorry, I still do that sometimes…” She replied with an uncomfortable chuckle. Celestia lead her to their own private cart, a gentle magic removing their shoes in a small flash of light. Twilight felt the plush carpet tickle her feet pleasantly with each step, making her giggle.

“This is all about relaxing… and I’ll make sure that happens.” Celestia smiled, wrapping a wing around her ex-pupil and now best friend. Twilight shivered at the blanket of pampered feathers clinging to her body.

“O- Of course Princess, but… Even teleporting would be rather risky, across an entire ocean. Maybe we should send a letter to Luna telling her we’ll need an extra four or five days for travel time.” Twilight nestled into the warmth surrounding her. Celestia ignored most of Twilight’s rambling, except for one.

“Twilight, please. You may just call me Celestia. We’ve been through too much together for formalities. I care for you too much to think of you as any less than a dear friend… and family. In many ways, you have shown my what it is like to have a daughter. And you have made me the most happy mother in all of Equestria. I am so, very proud of you, Twilight.” Celestia said in her usual, ear tingling gentle voice, reinforcing her words with a hug, letting her arms and wings take over.

Twilight smiled, her entire body shaking gently as tears began building in her eyes. Even Celestia knew they were far from sadness, and that made her own eyes begin to water. “I’ll try. Thank you Pr- Celestia.”

“I love you.” Celestia closed her eyes. “And I think this will be the most magical trip ever. One for the history books…”

Twilight giggled. “I still don’t understand why your previous vacations had their own chapter in History of Equestria: Volume 4.”

Celestia’s lips cracked into a smile as she started to laugh, Twilight joining her a moment later.

“So, tell me all about your friends. What has happened as of late? Anything exciting?” Celestia scooted back from Twilight slightly to put one leg over the other, getting ready for girl talk.

“Well, nothing too major, no monsters, or disasters, or anything life or sanity threatening- well, if you don’t count Discord being a substitute teacher. Miss Cheerilee was so out of it because of the medicine she had to take, she let Discord teach for an entire week!”

Celestia put a hand to her mouth and giggled. “I was wondering where he ran off to. Or flew, whichever he prefers.”

“He’s taken up moonwalking lately. Upside down moonwalking.” Twilight giggled again. “I think it’s th-the one time he’s ever made me completely burst out laughing and not be able to stop. He just looked so ridiculous!”

“Oh, my… Discord sure has changed since his, ahem, reformation. Especially towards me. He is a real sweetheart once you get to know him.” Celestia laughed gently.

“Except he seems to enjoy antagonizing me.” Twilight rolled her eyes.

“That’s just his way of saying he likes you. Can I tell you something?”

Twilight noded, a curious look in her eyes.

“The day you defeated Tirek, Discord came to me.” Celestia started.

“Ya… took me a while to even hold a tiny amount of trust for him after Tirek.” Twilight groaned.

“And he was quiet.” Celestia continued.

“Is that even possible? On average he emits ninety decibels.”

“And he was crying.” Celestia said in a more sympathetic tone.

Twilight couldn’t respond. Her mouth opened and closed, but no words passed her lips.

“He truly believed after what he did, he would be alone forever. And after finding a taste of friendship, it was something Discord couldn’t live without. I honestly don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t forgiven him and you HAD found a way to defeat Tirek aside from the elements. But I am glad you did… for his sake.” Celestia placed a hand on Twilight’s leg, squeezing gently and smiling. “You are truly fit for your title as Princess of Friendship…”

“Thank you Celestia…” Twilight whispered.

“In fact, I don’t think I could even imagine a world without your friends… and especially without you.” Celestia cooed, her wing once again blanketing Twilight’s body. “I wouldn’t want to live in that world.”

“Me neither… I don’t know what would’ve happened if you hadn’t stepped in during my entrance exam.” Twilight’s voice was quiet, her entire body was shaking slightly as tears welled up in her eyes.

“I watched you grow into a beautiful, successful mare. All I did was give you a little push. Everything you are, everything you have accomplished… that’s you. All the strength you have, you’ve always had. I may have been your mentor, but I have learned more from you than I have in my thousand years of knowledge. One day, I won’t be around any longer…” Celestia continued.

“W- What do you-”

“I may look young, but I am old Twilight. I may live another thousand years, or even more. But you are young, you’re a leader that I only could dream to have become. You make me so proud to live in your presence… and I say that with the utmost sincerity.” Celestia smiled lightly.

“B- But… I wouldn’t know what to do…” Twilight whimpered.

“Sometimes I didn’t know what to do. Leadership isn’t something you just know, but you will figure it out. And I can assure you of one thing.”

“What is it?”

“You won’t ever have to do it alone.” Celestia gently squeezed Twilight’s hand.

“C- Celestia… I didn’t mean I wouldn’t know what to do a- as a Princess. I meant… I don’t know if I could be h- happy without you…” Twilight sobbed, wrapping her arms around the much taller alicorn. Celestia’s eyes widened slowly, the air practically being taken from her lungs at the words.

“Oh, Twilight…” Celestia could feel her emotions running down her cheeks once more, returning the hug in earnest.

“You gave me all of this… I owe you everything, and I don’t care if you say I don’t! I’d do… anything for you Celestia.” The purple mare buried her face into Celestia’s bosom, sniffling slightly. Twilight heard Celestia do something for the first time in her entire life. Something that was almost alien to her, and she didn’t know how to feel… She heard Celestia crying. The feel of her face burying itself into Twilight’s mane made the first true connection the two have shared, not just physically, but straight from their souls. There were no words that could describe the emotions filling the cart they were in, only that they never wanted to leave each other’s arms again.

“I- I love you too Celestia…” Twilight whispered.

Celestia pulled back and wiped both their tears away. “I-I think… it’s time for s-something… sweet. Sweeter than you, I mean. Ice cream?” She smiled, her face slightly red from her earlier sobs.

“I’d l- like that… a scoop of Mint Ch- Chocolate Chip and a s- scoop of Strawb- berry…” Twilight smiles weakly.

“Co-coming… right up.” A mare’s voice startled Twilight. She noticed that the waitress pony had been watching. For however long, she did not know. Only that the mare was crying as well before she left. Celestia turned Twilight’s head back to look into her eyes.

“Twilight… I just want you to know one thing.”

“Yes Celestia?” Twilight looked up at her with stars in her eyes.

“I may be Princess of the sun… and my sister may be Princess of the moon. But you… you are the stars in between. For every one you could see in the sky, is another reason why you’ll be remembered. Not only by the ponies of Ponyville, and Equestria… but by me.”

Twilight’s hug became tighter at these words.

“I… I don’t want you to remember me… I want you to stay with me.”

“I will… and In case I ever get lost… You’ll be the north star to lead me back home again.” Celestia whispered, her face growing slightly closer to hers.

“Th- that was k- kinda cheesy…” Twilight giggled, but before Celestia could respond, she gave her a quick kiss on the lips. A second later, Twilight’s entire face blushed so deeply, there wasn’t a hint of her natural purple. Even Celestia’s pale face was beginning to burn like the sunrise over the pink, morning skies. The two were interlocked in one single moment of time that was no one else, it was something that belonged to them. Nothing would ever be the same again, at least, not between these two. Celestia’s lips slowly moved back, making Twilight lean forward longingly, stuck in her own hazy world of pure, hypnotic love.

“Twilight, my Twilight…” Celestia’s voice rang through her ears like a gentle breeze that chilled the violet pony to the bone.

“Y- Yes… Y- Yours…” Twilight said breathlessly, her bottom lip trembling. Celestia put a hand to Twilight’s cheek and caressed it in a way Twilight had only read about in her novels. The feeling was unlike any other, to be touched in a way that said more than just I love you.

“I’m… yours, Celestia…”

“And I, yours.” Celestia assured, gently pulling Twilight into another passionate kiss. Their mouths opened this time, and their tongues clashed like swords. Their tastes flooded into each other’s mouths, tasting unlike anything they had ever had tasted before. Twilight moaned and squeaked with every lashing of Celestia’s tongue. Her white hands slid underneath Twilight’s shirt and squeezed and caressed her tender velvet flesh in a loving, sensual manner.

Twilight broke the kiss to let out a long, high pitched moan.

“O- Oh goodness… C- Could you do that h- harder…?” She asked nervously. Celestia shifted around slightly before laughing, giving her exactly what she wanted. Twilight felt the hands press into her skin and slide slowly up her back like a deep tissue massage.

Twilight squealed as Celestia’s fingers pressed into her muscles with unexpected strength, before moaning out the Sun Princess’ name.

“Perhaps… we shouldn’t overdo it until we get settled at our destination.” Celestia laughed quietly, kissing Twilight’s cheek. The implication, however, sent a genuine shiver down her spine.

“Y- Yes… I wouldn’t want the waitress to walk in on us doing this.” Twilight turned to the door, only to see the waitress, standing on the other side, her eyes wide and her face one of complete shock.

Using her magic, Celestia opened the sliding door.

“Mm, did you bring the ice cream?” Celestia hummed. “I trust you put plenty of whipped cream on it.”

The pony did not so much as twitch.

“Um, if you could… keep this to yourself, that would be g- greatly appreciated.” Twilight said, trying to get some sort of response from the seemingly frozen pony.

“Now, there’s no need to be nervous.” Celestia’s head turned just enough to give the mare a come-hither stare, making her shiver audibly. The mare stumbled into the room and set the bowl down before bolting out and slamming the cabin door shut. Celestia immediately started laughing.

“Oh… I hope she doesn’t tell anypony…” Twilight fretted.

Celestia raised an eyebrow. “And why is that? Are you ashamed?”

“Oh goddess above no!” Twilight squeaked “I just… don’t think I’m ready for another storm of reporters stalking me every second for the next couple we- no, two Princesses getting together would be bigger, they’d stalk us both for months! It was bad enough when I became a Princess… and… I want it to be us who make it public.”

“I’m sure we’ll manage. For now, it’s just you…” Celestia started, tracing a finger up Twilight’s chest. “And me.”

Twilight moaned quietly, biting her lower lip. “Y- You’re teasing me…”

“Oh, Twilight… I’ve never been more serious in my entire life.” Celestia cooed, nuzzling into Twilight’s neck and making sure she felt her lips.

“L- Let’s eat our ice cream before it melts…” Twilight pleaded. Celestia’s magic lifted the bowl up, cutting a bit of the strawberry scoot out with her magic and bringing it to Twilight’s mouth.

“C- Celestia?” Twilight looked up at her with an uncertain look upon her face.

“Yes?” Celestia smiled mischieviously, nibbling a small bit of the levitating ice cream.

Twilight looks back to the small floating scoop, and opens her mouth, her tongue sticking out slightly in anticipation. Instead of the scoop going into her mouth, however, it went into Celestia’s. “Mm, good choice.” Celestia hummed.

Twilight groaned. “P- Please… May I have some…?” Twilight pleaded.

“Well, you just had to ask.” Celestia responded, gently kissing Twilight. The purple alicorn felt and tasted the still cold ice cream as it swished around her mouth straight from Celestia’s. Twilight melted faster than the ice cream in Celestia’s embrace. After taking the longest bite of food, Twilight could safely say, she pulled back. “Want another bite? Or perhaps you like to use the… spoon?”

“I- I think I prefer this method to a s- spoon…” Twilight sighed happily. Celestia’s joke went unabated, bringing her face down a peg in the unamused department.

“You know, I’m hungry too.” Celestia motioned to the bowl and waited for Twilight.

The mare slowly took a hunk of the mint chocolate chip in her magic, and shakily opened her mouth, letting it land on her tongue before looking up at Celestia.

The sun princess just smiled, laughing softly and repeating her process from earlier. Twilight loved the feel of their lips making contact. It was as if this was natural, even though this was the first time she’d ever kissed anypony. Should she tell her that? At that moment, all she cared about was making sure neither of them starved. For a moment, Twilight truly believed that she and Celestia would die of starvation if they didn’t continue.

Twilight parted from the kiss, unable to support herself on her shaky knees any longer. Celestia caught the trembling pony, gently shifting Twilight into her warm, heated lap. “Yes… you definitely chose my new favorite flavor.” Celestia sighed softly, her hot breath running down Twilight’s body.

“Y- You tasted really good…” Twilight mumbled weakly, her breath becoming heavy.

“You’ve never been with anypony intimately, have you?”

“No Celestia… Y- You’re my first… my first kiss.” Twilight admitted.

Celestia’s eyes opened a little wider as a thought crossed her mind. Twilight seemed to sense the hesitation and chose to speak up.

“Is something wrong…?”

“You could tell me anything, and I wouldn’t judge you no matter what was wrong with you. The feeling is mutual… correct?” Celestia asked. Twilight could see the genuine worry creeping up onto her face.

“N- Never! You’re… a pony that will always be perfect to me.”

The fear on Celestia’s face washed away like water down the drain and replaced itself with her usual smile. “Just making sure.” She said as a bit of ice cream fell onto Twilight’s neck. “Oops, let me get that.”

Twilight felt Celestia’s lips and tongue on her neck, mixing the icy treat with her burning tongue in the perfect, body tingling yin-yang of sensations.

“Celestia~ Mm…” Twilight ran her hands through Celestia’s flowing ethereal mane, cooing gently as she licked and nibbled at Twilight’s neck.

“You’re definitely going to be the cherry on top.” Celestia hummed almost to herself.

Twilight was too preoccupied by the sensations caused by Celestia’s treatment of her neck to chuckle at Celestia’s cheesy joke. She had a feeling, though, that this was going to be the longest train ride of her life.

Twilight’s eyes cracked open just in time for a yawn to stretch her mouth to its limits. The feel of her marefriend nuzzled against her brought back memories from late last night. Were they marefriends? Is that the correct term? Her thoughts and eyes wandered to the moving scenery outside the window, and how they were getting closer, and closer to the water. The only problem was that she had no knowledge of any tracks beyond that point, nor of any stations to stop at.

“Um… Why aren’t we slowing down…? Celestia?” Twilight asked in a slightly nervous voice. Celestia didn’t respond, still blissfully unaware of the impending doom driving straight through Twilight’s thoughts.

“Celestia… Oh no, oh no oh no oh no! C- Celestia!” Twilight shook the slumbering Princess awake.

“Hm?” Celestia’s brows furrowed, her eyes not opening but it was obvious she was awake. “What is it?”

“We gotta stop the train! We’re headed straight for the ocean and we’re not slowing down!” Twilight yelled, going into full panic mode. Celestia cracked an eye open and glanced out the window, a smile twisting her mouth up from ear to ear.

“That is bad, isn’t it?”

“H- HOW CAN YOU BE SMILING? WHY ARE YOU CALM, OH NO, THIS IS PROBABLY AN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT!” Twilight jumped up, ready to sprint to the front of the train and overpower the assassins. Celestia grabbed Twilight and pulled her back down.

“Twilight, calm yourself.” Celestia assured.

“C- Celestia… E- Equestria needs you!” Twilight stuttered, jumping up to her feet again and already reaching the door and throwing it open, before Celestia used her magic to close and lock it.

“Yes, but you and I are on vacation. Equestria will have to be patient.” Celestia laughed. No matter how hard Twilight tried, be it her strength, or all her magical power, she could not open the door.

“Oh… no… y- you’re a changeling… Aren’t you?” Twilight turned and backed into the corner of the train car. Celestia just grinned and crossed one leg over the other, glancing towards the window and at how dangerously close (and quickly approaching) they were to the water.

“I’m going to die…” Twilight said in a hollow voice.

“We’re not going to die.” Celestia assured.

Twilight slowly walked to the window, and stared out at the rapidly approaching water.

“Celestia… Even if you are a changeling… hold me please…”

“With pleasure.” Celestia smiled, gently embracing Twilight and squeezing her against her body. “But I do have one question before we both perish.”

“Yes?”

“A train from Canterlot carrying two princesses travels to The Alps. Without getting off or getting onto a plane or any sort of flying means of transportation, what would the next thing to do be? Besides a boat of course.”

“G- Get out and swim?” Twilight laughed with that same hollow tone.

“Let me rephrase that… A train coming from Canterlot, the capital of most magical books and home to the most renown University in Equestria… Travels to The Alps.” Celestia continued.

“Um… flying train? No- wait… you said no flying…” Twilight seemed comforted by a riddle in the face of death.

“Goodness, Twilight. Look out the window.” Celestia rolled her eyes. Twilight turned back to the window and they were greeted to the sight of underwater life and scenery traveling nearly as fast as when the train was above the ground.

Twilight’s brain seemed to stop working for a long moment. After what seemed like an hour, but was probably closer to twenty seconds, she burst out laughing, holding Celestia tightly.

“I thought it would make the trip much more exciting.” Celestia laughed alongside her.

“Y- You’re so meeeaaan!” Twilight cried in between laughs. Celestia nestled against Twilight, absolutely happy with her scheme as the two enjoyed the sight of the passing ocean.

“I guess I’ll get my revenge… with tickles!” Twilight shouted, attacking Celestia’s sides. Celestia screamed, the two collapsing to the floor as the sun princess laughed and kicked beneath Twilight’s ministrations.

“You’re just cruel!” Celestia squealed, purposefully not using her full strength and pushing at Twilight.

Twilight, smiled, and dropped down onto Celestia, nestling her head on the larger Alicorn’s pillowy breasts. She sighed happily. “I’m still kinda upset with you for letting me panic…”

“Well, you’re the one who assumed I’d put you in danger. I don’t know what I’d do if you got hurt…” Celestia’s tone grew an octave quieter and more sincere.

“Me neither…” Twilight shifted, causing her head to slip in between Celestia’s massive breasts. “EEP!”

Celestia barely stifled a laugh, squishing her breasts to either side in an faux attempt to suffocate Twilight.

“C- Celestia…? Y- You’re so s- soooft…” Twilight moaned, squirming slightly.

Celestia wrapped her arms and legs around Twilight, pulling the purple mare further and further into the bed of bulgy sunny warmth. Twilight’s much smaller body was easily enveloped by Celestia’s embrace, her head completely swallowed by Celestia’s cleavage. “Well, this is nice.” Celestia laughed.

“S- soooo niiice~” Twilight moaned as she continued squirming, eventually grabbing Celestia’s breasts and squeezing. Hed Celestia been naked, Twilight’s hands would only have been large enough to cover her nipples. Celestia cooed gently. Twilight swore her voice was like a harp being played by a master of the arts, making her relax utterly.

“Celest- Celestia… S- Squeeze me tighter… please.” Twilight uttered, wanting more of her warmth. Celestia couldn’t help but smile, not one of lust, or teasing. But a smile of a mother, and she couldn’t say no. Her magic radiated like a sun of its own, covering Twilight’s body and pressing her tighter into the mountain of pure white intimacy. Celestia relished the feeling of Twilight’s shaking body against her own, the feel of another in such a way was almost alien to her. No one in all her thousands of years of being a Princess had been this close. For once, Celestia didn’t feel like royalty, or a princess, or the ruler of Equestria. She felt like a mare… and she was happy.

“I- I don’t know if I’m saying this right b- but… could you talk… um, naughty to me…?” Twilight’s voice had gotten gradually quieter and squeakier as she finished her sentence.

“Goodness, Twilight…” Celestia just started to laugh, her head falling back to the plush carpeted floor.

“Did I not say it right?” Twilight asked, concerned.

“I thought we were enjoying a moment together. Such naughty thoughts should wait until after the, hmm, first date.” Celestia teased, raking her fingers through Twilight’s sparkly hair.

“I’m s- sorry… I just feel so… weird right now. B- But in a good way!” Twilight said, suppressing a moan.

“You make me feel quite special too, Twilight. In fact, I’m amazed that you’re still showing me new things… I was right to choose you as my student.” Celestia’s smile made Twilight tingle further, but not just on the outside. She felt all warm and fuzzy inside, like whenever her brother hugged her as a filly. Except this time, it was a lot stronger.

“I… I’ll always be your faithful student, and… you’ll always be my teacher. M- My Princess~” Twilight snuggled in closer.

“Twilight, if you really do love me… Could you please, um… Drop the princess from your vocabulary? I really want this vacation to be special.” Celestia’s tone became quieter and a little reluctant. “It would… mean a lot to me. You make me feel like a normal pony, not some goddess on a pedestal for everyone to gawk at. But when you call me a princess, it just...” She stopped, her eyes glancing away.

“I- I’m sorry… I didn’t mean it like that… U- Um… Celestia.” Twilight stuttered.

“You remember when you first got your wings, and people called you Princess Twilight? How did that make you feel?” Celestia asked in a gentler tone.

“Really… Really weird. Like I didn’t deserve it…”

“Now, imagine people calling you that daily, with only your best friends talking to you as if you were just that, a friend.” Celestia continued. Twilight immediately knew what Celestia was talking about, she had dealt with it first hand.

“I’m sorry…” Twilight whispered. Internally however, Twilight’s thoughts ran free of how she felt she didn’t deserve the status of Princess compared to the mare holding her.

“Now, imagine what I just told you… but add the fact that I have no friends.” Celestia finished.

Twilight tried. She really did, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t fathom not having any of her friends support her.

“Now, let me assure you, in case you had any doubts about your worth. I was born into my life, my title was handed to me. It’s what I was taught, and how I was raised. You, however… you earned yours.” Celestia smiled, raking her fingers through the purple and pink hair again. “No one deserves the title of Princess more than you.”

“Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it… Sometimes it feels like one of my friends deserves it more.”

“Twilight, you remember at the Equestrian Games… You remember what you told Spike?” Celestia asked.

“You keep saying you didn't do anything, but we're saying you did…” Twilight recited.

Celestia smiled a little more and continued to listen.

“Celestia… Thank you.”

“Take a little of your own advice from time to time. I chose to teach you because I saw potential in you. I’ve made countless mistakes in my life, Twilight… You are not one of them.” Celestia assured, gently kissing her on the forehead.

“I… I can’t even describe how much that means to me…” Twilight stammered.

“Sometimes ponies need a push. You’ve done more than that for me, on multiple occasions. Over these past couple years, you have given me a reason to be me, to be Princess. You make it worth getting up in the morning.” Celestia smiled, tightening the embrace. “I’ve watched you grow into a true princess, one that will never be forgotten. And every morning I wake up, I’m excited to see what you will achieve. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it is to have something like that in my life.”

Twilight hummed gently, nuzzling Celestia’s bosom. “I promise I will never take that away from you. I’ll stay by your side forever, if you want me to… B- Because I’d kinda like that...”

Celestia closed her eyes and smiled a little more. “I’d like that too, Twilight.”
