//-------------------------------------------------------// Equestrias last sunny day -by Dead Nation- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Before the winds blow //-------------------------------------------------------// Before the winds blow     It pains me to see my world dying as it has been. The birds no longer chirp, the animals no longer play, the trees don't show green leaves, and the wind always blows as the snow always falls. I miss my friends to. I remember the last sunny day though, which comforts me as I face what very well could be my own ending.     The day before the Frozen Clouds began to hang over Equestria, my friends and I had taken Apple Bloom, Scootalo and Sweetie Belle to the fields near Ponyville for a time. While they played in the flower fields I spoke with Rarity and Applejack.     "I heard somepony left some kind of magic crystals at the palace yesterday." Rarity mentioned at one point. I'd heard about it to, was suspicious of it. With as many enemies as Equestria seemed to have, it seemed more suspicious than anything.     "I've heard the crystals are so cold, if you touch them you freeze solid." I responded, thinking of what kind of chaos it would cause if they were to be misplaced.     "Ah reckon we ought tah take a look at it." Applejack said, taking a bite out of a juicy red apple. "See if it's at all dangerous." So we stayed and watched the fillies play with Pinkie Pie for awhile longer while Fluttershy sat quietly with a small dog. Rainbow Dash snoozed above us on a low hanging cloud. We all trotted home while the sun set low over the last sunny day.     I woke to a cold chill in my bedroom, which concerned me because it was the middle of summer. I looked down to Spike who was sound asleep. I shut my window and proceeded to go about my daily business. I decided the first thing to do would be to visit Zecora in the Everfree forest to see if she may have had any knowledge of these crystals sent to the Princesses.     Except upon opening my door, I was greeted by a Royal Guard. His coat was white, and his mane was red. I couldn't see his cutie mark, what with his armor and all.     "Princess Twilight Sparkle. There's been trouble at the castle. Princess Celestia requires your presence at once. Bring your friends to." he stated flatly.     "What Kind of trouble, exacly?" I asked, though I already knew the answer.     "There's some kind of permenant frost coating the room which the crystals had been placed in. Not to mention all of Equestria has begun to cool." He stated, again very flatly.     A long train ride later and we stood before Princess Celestia, in a palace with frost coating every inch. I could see my breath clearly as well.     "Ah, Twilight. You're finally here. We have a problem." She said, stating the obvious. "The room in which we stored those crystals has become so cold that no pony can enter it. Likewise all of Equestria has begun to grow cold. I need you six to find some way to stop it before Equestria freezes."     "Sounds easy enough." I said with a sigh.     It wasn't until the next day we relized there was nothing anypony could do. We couldn't get close to the three crystals to destroy them, but they resisted magic as well. I reported back to Princess Celestia, hanging my head in disappointment. Just before I approched her to speak, the guard from before came rushing in.     "Princess Celestia! We have a problem! The griffins have declared all out war upon Equestria!" He said quickly, clearly out of breath. Princess Celestia sighed heavily.     "Ready our defences for now, I'll speak with you later." She said, dismissing the guard. He left, and I approched her. "Please Twilight, tell me you have some form of good news for me. I need good news!" She said, obviously exhausted and stressed out.     "We tried everything. The others returned home, exhausted and discouraged. We can't destroy the crystals." Princess Celestia put a hoof to her forehead, as if she had an unbearable headache.     "Return home, Twilight." Was all she said, dismissing me from her presence.     Over the coarse of the next few weeks, it began to snow. Each day getting colder, and the snow falling harder. At the same time, construction began popping up everywhere. Military bases and pegusus hangers began appearing everywhere as more and more ponies offered their lives to protect our land. Unfortunatly the storm only worsened.     It wasn't until the slightly frost blue tinted gray cloud hung over all of Equestria that it became dangerous. Any pegusus ponies that touched the cloud froze solid and fell to the ground, shattering to a million little pieces, upon contact. Snow constantly fell as an unstoppable snowstorm blew through all of Equestria. A never ending beradge of ice and snow, and winds that blew so hard they could tip entire trains over on their sides. Now that the snow storm became a problem, as snow piled up to our windows.     Ponies panicked, riots broke out in the confusion, looting began. Eventually Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna, decided to have various bunkers of large size built underground. Each had a large generator to provide heat and electricity to the inhabitants. Each generator magiclly enhanced to suit the needs of each bunker. That's the most I ever knew about them. After most of the bunkers were finished, which took a few months, ponies began requesting entry. All denied, because orders were that no pony was to be let in a bunker unless notified otherwise.     Still, over the next month it only got worse. The speed of the wind grew to be fast enough to topple houses, but most were held in place by all the snow. Pegusus ponies no longer flew through the air, now held to the ground like the rest of us because of the blinding snow. We could all see that soon the snow would be as deep as our homes were tall.     Thankfully, Princess Celestia allowed ponies to begin funneling into the numerous bunkers.     Now, thought, the winds were to strong and the snow completly obstructed everyponies vision. Most ponies didn't make it to the bunkers before dying. Those who did survive we're usually separated from family.     Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and I went to the castle instead. Seeking the Princesses. Upon opening the castle doors, we were hit hard by an intense cold that almost gave the sensation of burning. Still, we made our way to the throne room. There sitting upon her throne was Princess Celestia. Frozen solid. Next to her sat Luna. Both frozen, both with a look of sorrow on their faces. Just before the throne stood Princess Candace, she was frozen to but seemed to have frozen much later than they had. We approched, still feeling the searing pain of intense cold. We approched the cold forms before us, horrified at the details.     A high pitched screem from Fluttershy grabbed at our attention. I turned to see she had ice forming around her body, and so did the others. It spread across their bodies quickly, and they all struggled and screamed. I watched in horror as my best friends were frozen solid. Gone forever. I noticed a nip at my hooves, and saw I to was freezing. Except at a much slower pace.     So I sit to write this in my final moments. Maybe someone can piece this story together. Figure out what I never could. Whoever you may be, good luck. Better luck than we had hopefully. With my last breath, I hope that maybe someday somepony will save us. Not just us here in this blue tinted room but all of Equestria. My dreams are frozen though.
