Chapter 1: The Grand Beginning
In downtown Ponyville at the town hall; Atom Sparkes, the magical master of friendship, just came back home from the Crystal Empire after King Sombra was defeated. He was walking towards the marketplace to buy some flowers and apples when he unexpectedly bumped into another pony on his right side. He fell to the ground and then rubbed his head in a bit of pain, "Oh... Ouch... OH, I'm so sorry about that, I didn't mean... to... uhh". Atom looked right at the pony with such mind-blown amusement, It was a light blue unicorn mare with dark blue, purple, and diamond blue shaded mane & tail. Also, her cutiemark is a lone diamond in multi-shades of white and had amazing purple eyes. "It's alright, i should of looked where i am going" she said as she giggles. Atom got back on his hooves and brushed himself off, "Oh, that's good anyway, my name is Atom Sparkes, what is your name?" "I"m Diamond Gem, but you can call me just Diamond" she repiled. "Nice to meet you, Diamond, I was wondering if... Oh!" Atom rubbed his head again in a painful way. "Are you okay?" Diamond asked, ""I'm not sure... I may have took a more dreadful hit to the ground than I though" he replied. "Wow..." she went as she checks his head for any possible injury. "Ummm... what are you doing?" Atom asked while still in pain, "Just checking if your injured" Diamond said. And then she found the problem, there was a nasty bump on the back of his head. "Sooo... what is it? Oh!" he asked, "Well... you have a bump, that's why your head hurts" she replied. "Ohh, that does make sense now... oh... I think I need some medical attention", Diamond nodded and takes Atom Sparkes to Ponyville General Hospital for medical care.
One hour later... After a little bit examing and treating the injury, Atom was feeling much better and ready to do anything. "OH Yes... I feel much, much better!" He said with much excitement. "Thanks for taking to the hospital, Diamond. It is very nice of you to do so", "I'm happy to see my friends happy" she said with a smile on her face. "So, I was trying to say earlier before the injury, and I was wondering if you would like to... ummm... go have some lunch with me?" he asked with a bit of blushness of his face. "I'd love to" she smiled, "Nice! ok then, I'll meet you at your favorite place to eat. right?" Atom replied, "Well i dont really know the best place to eat since there are so many, but maybe we could meet at sugarcube corner?" she smiled asking. "Oh, yeah sure, we can go there." And so there, Atom and Diamond walked together towards Sugarcube Corners for a little lunch. As they were walking, they talked about some of the places they oftenly go to as they're passing them and mention some friends they know in they're lives. Then, finally arriving at Sugarcube Corners, Atom went up to order some lunch but he wasn't sure what Diamond likes to eat here. So he went back to the table to ask her. She looked at him smiling "Wanted to ask me something?", "Uh yeah, what do you actually like to eat here?" "Oh, well I eat lots of sweets like cupcakes and cake" she smiled. Feeling a bit unsure about having a lot of sweets, but then he nodded and went back to the corner to get six different flavored cupcakes and a two-layered chocolate cake to share and for himself, a sapphire cupcake that he always thinking about trying. "Here you go, Diamond". '"Thanks!" she smiles, as they were eating, Atom took a bite of the sapphire cupcake and slowly chewing it to enjoy it. And surprisingly, he really liked the cupcake that was suppose to be for a dragon to eat. "WOW! This is cupcake is Amazing! I'm sorry Spike that I'm eating your gems" he said as he starts to giggle in a reasonable way. Diamond smiling, bited a cupcake "I love humor so much", Atom giggles back "That's is funny we have something in common, humor". "Agreed, it's nice to see somepony having something in common, brings out so much joy" she smiles.
After the amazing lunch, Atom and Diamond walked out of Sugarcube Corner with full bellies and enjoyed each others commpany even they were just starting to know one another. "Wow, that was the best lunch I ever have in my life, you are an amazing friend to have, Diamond". '"Thanks, your not so bad yourself" she said as she smiled at him. Atom took a moment to look at Diamond and thought about how amazingly beautiful she is. He really really like this mare, a lot and He can't stop thinking about her. "Ummm... anyway, I really enjoyed our time this afternoon, I wonder if we can do it again sometime later?" he asked as his face turns pinkish red. "Of course! I will always have free time, besides making jewelery at my mom' shop while she is gone" she replied. "Oh ok, ummm... how about we go to the Golden Oak Library to read some books?" Atom asked again "Oh okay" she replied And so, they walked together to Golden Oak Library and this is the beginning of an amazing friendship that will soon determine the future of Ponyville, Forever!
