Earth: Its bountiful lands and beautiful wildlife can lead one to believe that living on that planet may not be so bad… But it is. War, death, crime, rape, torture; the list goes on for miles. Cruelty and kindness contradict one another, good fights with evil– and most human beings choose to ignore the darkness of their species. For a certain young man, humanity's karma has caught up with him.

Rowan is a young recently-turned eighteen year old man. He has a job as a security officer in a farm where they hold countless animals hostage and profit off of their suffering. Rowan wasn't exactly for the mistreatment of animals, he didn't have a choice; he had a family to provide for: his little brother, his incapacitated mother, and his sickly father who still insists on working. Despite his neutral ground with animal rights Rowan is forced into a world where, ironically, many of the roles on Earth are reversed in the land of Equestria. Rowan now faces the cruelty that he as well as many other people turn their back to.
