TWILIGHT'S SECRET HUMAN

by Mudraynebow

It was a bright sunny morning in Ponyville, and it was the sun shining upon Twilight's face through the bedroom window that caused her to wake up. Groggily, she instinctively reached over with one hoof to see if Adam was still asleep, and her hoof brushed the fabric of his shirt; yes, he was still in bed.

Adam. Her human and secret lover. Only a few weeks ago, Twilight had found him wandering near the Everfree Forest, and she had been delighted to discover not only a brand-new type of creature, but also a rather intelligent one that even spoke the same language. She had taken him back to her place, but secretly, as she didn't want the other ponies to know about him yet. The only other soul who knew was Spike, whom she had made promise to not tell anyone.

After the first week of having spent time together in secret, Twilight had realized that she had feelings for Adam, realized that she wanted him as more than a friend. She had talked to him about this, and had been delighted to find out that the feeling was mutual. The only problem with this was, now no pony could ever know of Adam's existence, but it had been a risk Twilight had been willing to take. She loved him.

Twilight thought of these memories as she sat up in bed that morning and rubbed her eyes with her front hooves, trying to clear them. Done with that, she looked over at Adam sleeping peacefully.

Not wishing to wake her lover, Twilight simply stared at him for awhile, admiring the smooth, shaven skin on his face and his ruffled brown hair. Although she couldn't see his arms under the blanket, she knew of the rather large muscles in his arms. She could imagine what he looked like perfectly, because of all the time she had spent studying him, but she still loved to admire him anyways.

After several more minutes of this, Twilight looked outside, saw the sun high in the sky.
"I promised Applejack I'd go help out with harvesting today," Twilight told herself. "I better get going."

She leaned over and planted a kiss on Adam's forehead.

"I'll be back soon," she whispered to him. "Don't do anything bad while I'm gone."

As she got out of bed, she looked over at Spike, her number one assistant, still asleep, looking peaceful lying on his nearby bed on the floor.

She stretched out for a few minutes, trying to wake herself up more, before going downstairs and making some breakfast which she quickly ate, wanting to get going as soon as possible. She was already late, a thing that was very unlike her, and didn't want to keep Applejack and her other friends waiting any longer than possible.

A little later that day, Twilight showed up at Sweet Apple Acres. It took awhile to find Applejack and her other friends because they were already in the orchard, working.

"Where've ya been, Twilight?" Applejack asked as Twilight approached. "We've been waitin' for ya all mornin'."

"I'm sorry, Applejack. I was just busy," Twilight said. "I didn't mean to get here so late."

"It's alright, sugarcube, I understand. Ah'm just glad yer here now. Things should go much faster."

Twilight spent the rest of the day with her friends getting all the apples off the trees and into the buckets. By the time they were all done, it was starting to get dark out, and the six friends were tired. They all had enough time to try some fresh apple juice, then they all began to head back home.

On the way back to the library, Twilight's thoughts turned to Adam. How she missed him! She couldn't wait to get back and see him again, to rest in the comforting embrace of his arms. She wondered if he was missing her as much as she missed him.

After several minutes, Twilight finally reached the front door of her library and opened it. It was dark inside, no lights were on.

Twilight headed upstairs and saw Adam lying in the bed, and nearby on the floor, Spike lying in his own little bed, unmoving.

Not wanting to wake the dragon, Twilight climbed into her bed, got under the covers, and snuggled up next to Adam. She put her hoof around him and gently turned him onto his side to not wake him, before closing her eyes and kissing him on his lips.

As soon as their mouths made contact, Twilight instantly felt happy, calm, and fully content for the first time that day. She moaned softly as she continued the kiss, feeling around the inside of her lover's mouth with her tongue and pressing her body up against his.

Twilight finally broke the kiss, and laid on her side, staring at Adam's face in the increasing gloom. She smiled as she stared at his lips. She loved their soft feel, loved how they felt against her mouth. She loved his lips, the lips that always had spoken kindly to her. Only once had they spoken harshly- but only once.

Twilight smiled as she remembered the memories. The lips that had usually spoke kindly to her had spoken harsh, angry words. These words had hurt Twilight, hurt her greatly, but a sharp knife to Adam's chest had put an end to that. Along with an anti-decay spell, her lover was perfect once again, except for the fact that he no longer spoke.

It had been a shame that Twilight had had to do the same to Spike, but she couldn't have let him tell anyone about her lover.

None of it mattered, though. She loved both of them even though they were dead just as much as she had loved them when they were alive, and everything was just fine.

Twilight kissed Adam once more, snuggled up into his arms, and fell asleep.
