When fourteen year old River afternoon is forced to go to his so called "dead" grandfather's cabin on the edge of Canterlot. He then finds a journal that used to belong to Glimmer afternoon. He soon discovers the secrets of how his grandfathers world was like……… and what was happening at the time.

It won't let me pick but there is slice of life with adventure in it you will find out when you read it.

The beginning.

"But mom I don't want to go. It's boring there." I whined laying on my back on my bed. "But you used to love going there. Remember when you were little you used to run around in the woods?" My mother asked me, trying to persuade me to go. "Mom. There's no service there." I whined again. "Oh! That reminds me. Phone please." She tells me, holding out her hoof. And when my mother tells somepony to do something. That means do it. I hand over my phone. "Thank-you" She smiles, "Now it's time to go. Come on." She says. I follow .

My family and I are in the cart on our way to the cabin. As I look out the side of the cart and think, "Maybe it's not that bad going there...I think." My thoughts were interrupted by the sudden stop of the cart. I fall forward, but catch myself and get back up. I look around trying to find why we stopped. "Damn it." My mother said. I found what happened. In front of the cart was a big tree. "Oh. Too bad looks we have to go back. Oof! Big punch in the gut. Sorry mom, maybe next time." I say acting disappointed. My mother turns around and gives me a look. Not just a look of being annoyed or upsetting, but the look when it looks like mom just went insane. "Heh. Sorry" I say
