Anon grinned like a fool, rubbing the ruby jewel of the amulet to make sure that it was real. It shone in the sunlight, dazzling his eyes. He recently found it in a glass case inside a tree when he decided to wander around Zecora's home. The mare was quite antsy about him wandering around her property like a treasure hunter, and now he found out why.

He felt a strong warmth course through his chest, filling him with what he thought to be magic.

Anon smiled as he quickly ran through the everfree forest. It was noon and the sun was at it's highest point. Beams of sunlight reached the forest floor, highlighting flowers and animals alike. Whilst he ran, Anon decided to test out his newfound powers.

"Hey! twig butts!" He shouted towards the timberwolves, who were lazing around the grass. Their emerald eyes glared at him with intense fury as they rose.

Anon stopped in his tracks and faced them with confidence. He looked at the glowing amulet and then towards the timberwolves, then back to the amulet again. His rather brash attitude quickly began to fade when he realised that he didn't know how to use magic. The timberwolves closed the distance slowly as if they were prowling.

"Um....how do I do this again?" He tapped the amulet, hoping to get the answer from it. "Oh wait.....hmmm...."

Anon furrowed his eyebrows and held out his hand, aiming it directly at one of the timberwolves.

"By the power of gravity, I suspend you in mid-air!" He boomed.

Anon's amulet glowed with a sinister red, creating an aura that encompassed it and the arm that he used. The targeted timberwolf was encased in the same aura and was suddenly lifted from the ground, surprising it's comrades.

"Aha! You are under my control now!" Anon continued to speak in a villainous tone, forcing out a laugh to intimidate the 5 other timberwolves that were quickly approaching him.

'Uh oh, they don't look terrified! They don't look terrified! Come on, do something!' He panicked.

With his other hand, Anon waved towards the advancing pack, hoping that the amulet would read his mind. Sure enough, it heard his request as his waving hand expelled a red aura, pushing back the timberwolves with a solid wave of red air.

"Uh...back foul fiends!" He shouted.

'This is getting out of hand! I should just leave.' He thought.

And just like his thoughts suggested, Anon let go of the levitating timberwolf and made a mad dash towards civilisation.

The first place that Anon headed to was Rarity's, due to the fact that she was the best person to talk to when it came to jewellery. But before that, he stopped by the Sugarcube corner for a little snack. Anon decided to tuck in the amulet into his black shirt, leaving only the metal straps visible on his shoulder.

He ordered a cupcake deluxe with extra sprinkles and extra cream, which was free on the house since he worked there.

He stared at the cupcake with disappointment, displeased about it's size. Just then, a great little idea came to his mind: What if he just used magic to make the cupcake bigger? He had the magic to do so...well, he had the amulet to do so actually. But still, a little magic wouldn't hurt would it?

With a sly grin, Anon touched the cupcake with his index finger, whispering "Grow." to it. He looked down to his shirt to see a red glow, causing him to hunch over so that no-one nearby could see it. His index finger was covered in the same red aura, making the cupcake slowly expand in size as he touched it.

It grew and grew, surprising some of the customers that were soon watching. Anon didn't want the cupcake to stop growing, as if he thought that it wasn't big enough to satisfy his hunger. His eyes grew, his smile grew and his appetite grew. It grew so big to the point where he could smell the frosting on it with his nose, mainly because said frosting was on his nose since the cupcake grew to a size which was appropriate for a dragon snack.

"Umm...Anon?"

Anon snapped out his hungry trance and looked around, finding a confused Twilight Sparkle next him.

"Did you....use magic?" She asked, tilting her head.

"What? No! You know humans don't use magic." He tried to laugh it off, but it didn't work.

"Then how did you make a cupcake that's big enough for an adult dragon?" She replied.

"Magic." He blurted out, causing him to cover his mouth.

Twilight Sparkle narrowed her eyes. Anon couldn't feel her piercing gaze because she was staring at his glowing chest, rather than his actual self.

"What's under your chest Anon?" She said.

"A glowing mushroom." He replied.

"And why would you keep a glowing mushroom inside your shirt?" She questioned him.

"Why do you have pink extensions in your hair?" He retorted, sticking his tongue out. "You keep your secrets, I keep mine."

Anon absent-mindedly shrunk the cupcake, much to Twilight Sparkle's surprise. He picked it up nonchalantly and said "I'm going to eat this where you ponies won't question me. Now I will take my leave." He left the Sugarcube corner with his head held high and his magical prowess in check.

As cruel fate would have it for the human, Mayor pony was walking along the pavement, enjoying her afternoon break when she suddenly spots Anon leaving the Sugarcube corner.

"Ah! Anonymus, how is your day?" She speaks out to him. Anon jerks and suddenly looks around to see the mayor of ponyville casually nearing his presence.

"F-Fine and dandy!" He blurted out a response. He forced out a smile as he waved towards her. The mayor drops her mouth in amazement, causing alarm bells to ring in Anon's mind.

'Why is she surprised? Why? Did I do somethi-.....oh. Anon looked at his waving hand, which was covered in a bright crimson flame.

He didn't stop waving though, he just tried to play it off like it never happened.

"And when did you get this?"

"...."

"Anon, answer me."

Mayor mare spoke condescendingly towards Anon in her office. He was sitting on a small chair in front of her desk, staring at the floor with a grumpy look on his face.

"Somewhere." He muttered.

"And why did you decide to put it on when it could be dangerous?" She said.

"Because it looks cool! Why wouldn't you wear this? It gives me the power to do magic!" He reasoned with her. Mayor mare only shook her head in disappointment.

"Anon, that amulet can quickly corrupt you if you keep using it." She looks at him. "It's already taken one of your hands." She points towards his left hand.

And she was right, it was the hand that Anon used to wave towards mayor mare. The bright crimson flame hasn't disappeared since.

"I think it looks cool." Anon stared at the hand.

"Well I think it can cause you serious harm." She muttered.

"Besides, I can take it off whenever I want." He crossed his arms.

Anon stood up from his tiny seat and headed towards the door, only for it to suddenly open. Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle soon enter the room, causing Anon to jump back in fear and unconsciously erect a barrier around himself.

"Please don't banish me princess!" Anon looked away with his hands facing towards them. "I don't want to live alone! It's too boring and I'm too old and lazy to live on my own!"

"My, my. It looks like Anon has harnessed a surprising new power." Princess Celestia spoke.

"Indeed." Twilight sparkle said with a frustrated tone. "One that was made for ponies to use."

Anon opened his eyes to see three major figures surround him, all staring at the sinister red glow which was under his shirt.

"Anon...did you happen to find an amulet sometime today?" Twilight sparkle questioned.

"I may have." He replied. "And what's it to you?"

"I highly recommend you to take that thing off, if you know what's good for you. Only the pony who holds it can remove it." She said.

"Why? So you can use it?" Anon narrowed his eyes. "I'm not letting some punk like you steal my treasure."

"Punk? where did that come from?" Twilight sparkle furrowed her brow.

Anon clenched his flaming fist, brightening the glow of the red barrier he previously erected. He was slightly confused as to why an alicorn had to be sent into this conversation, but he didn't need to know the answers, because all he wanted to do now is to leave.

He slowly approached the exit, which was blocked by the alicorn and the young unicorn. With a wave of his hand, he pushed aside the two ponies as if they were weightless and slowly walked out of the room.

"I'm going." He said.

Twilight Sparkle looked on with worry, whilst Princess Celestia kept a calm face.

"Whatever are we going to do?" Mayor mare said. "I've heard that the pony user of the Alicorn amulet can be the only one to take it off. And from the looks of it, I don't think he will ever take it off!"

"He's been corrupted rather quickly, judging from the glow on his fist and his eyes, and I don't think I can convince him to take it off like I did with Trixie." Twilight Sparkle said as she scratched her chin.

"My dear friends, the solution is simple." Princess Celestia smiled. "All we have to do...is to give him an alicorn status!"

Twilight Sparkle and Mayor mare stared with derision and disbelief.

"The one who wears an alicorn amulet possesses the power of an alicorn, am I not right?" Princess Celestia asked.

"He has some power, but not all of it. It is only the power of the highest level of unicorn if I'm correct." Twilight Sparkle corrected.

"It is still great power nonetheless, and by that it means that he has the characteristics of an alicorn, appearances aside." The princess smiled.

"But what will that achieve? a higher ego?" Mayor mare said.

"Ponies that have acquired an alicorn status are usually rulers of cities or parts on an empire, am I not right? Celestia said.

"There are other rulers such as those in Saddle Arabia who aren't alicorns." Twilight Sparkle argued.

"But I'm talking about alicorns, not regular ponies." Celestia shut down her student. "And with the power invested in me and Equestria, I hereby give the title of alicorn to Anonymus, the human." She closed her eyes and bowed ceremoniously.

Mayor mare still looked confused, whilst Twilight Sparkle seemingly pouted.

"Now, Mayor mare, you are to resign your position by tomorrow effective immediately." Celestia smiled.

"What?!"

Anon groaned lifelessly, planting his face firmly on the wooden desk that he sat on. Two giant stacks of paper files were placed on the sides of his head, thanks to Twilight Sparkle's magic.

"Here you go, we have some requests to build more homes and there's some pieces on some wanting to become landlords. Make sure you sign all the papers by tomorrow." The unicorn left the room.

"I hate you." Anon mumbled as she left the door.

He stood up from his small seat, sighing.

"The stress will keep down the corruption, they said. You'll be a ruler of a town, they said." He looked at the dim flame that encompassed his hands. "You know what, I might as well take it off then." he said in defeat.

He held the straps of the amulet and pulled, only to be met with a strong resistance. Puzzled, Anon takes one more try, putting some strain onto his hands and his neck as the amulet remains glued to his neck.

"What the....come on!"

He tried and tried, but he could never remove it.

"I highly recommend you to take that thing off, if you know what's good for you. Only the pony who holds it can remove it."

"Only the pony who holds it can remove it."

"Only the pony who holds it."

"Only the pony..."

"Pony."

Only the user can remove it...who also had to be a pony.
