They are given the gift, and are left to choose their own path. Words from the First Book. The Ponyville train speeds down the metal tracks. Meanwhile Nightwing and Fluttershy are in a car, both are reading a book to pass the time. Fluttershy is reading her religions Bible. And Nightwing is reading the book discord gave him called 'The Elements of Chaos. By Discord.' 'When Nature presented its gift to the Deer and the Ponies, the Deer took the gift and admired and treasured it forever. Where the Ponies took natures gift and turned it into something else.' Fluttershy read in her Bible. 'The Element of Nature controls all forms of plant and wood. Basically if it grows form the ground, the Element of Nature can control it.' Nightwing read in his book. 'The Element of Nature can also communicate with certain creatures as well, because they came from the ground such as every living thing did. Or that's what the Deer believe anyways.' "Anypony going to Whitetail forest, all depart!" The conductor said. Nightwing and Fluttershy put their books in their saddle bags and walked towards the door on the chair. When the door opened it revealed...a ton of dirt. "This isn't Whitetail forest." Nightwing told the conductor. "Sorry but this is as far as the train can go." The conductor said. "Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you Nightwing. Deer don't like ponies inventions." Fluttershy said while hiding her face in her mane. "Of course they do." Nightwing sighed as he and Fluttershy got off the train. The train then rolled away as Nightwing and Dluttershy began walking. "You do know where we're going right?" Nightwing asked Fluttershy. "Of course, Whitetail forest is just south of here, we'll be there in a couple of minutes." Fluttershy said as she began to walk south, and Nightwing began to follow her. "Hey Nightwing, can I ask you a question?" "Of course." "Why did you really come here? I mean to Whitetail forest?" Fluttershy asked. "Well one, I wanted to come and study your religion because there Arn't that many books in Equestria on Deer religion. And two, if I didn't supervise you I'd never hear the end of it from Flash and Lightning strike." Nightwing answered. "Speaking of my two brothers, how are they doing?" "Both are in a comma, how you doing?" "Oh I wish I knew why they were in a comma, but no pony knows. Do you know Nightwing?" "I wish, but I don't remember what caused them to be in a comma state." "Oh, well thanks for answering honestly." "No problem." "We're here." Nightwing looked away from Fluttershy to see they were in front of a very large forest. Trees of all variety were in front of them. "This is Whitetail forest?" Nightwing asked. "Yes, or at least the entrance anyways." Fluttershy said as she walked into the forest. Nightwing soon followed behind her. "Now are you sure we're supposed to be going through the forest this way?" Nightwing asked as he cautiously looked at the trees. "Yes I'm sure, I have been here before remember?" Fluttershy responded. "Yeah I know you've been here I'm just worried that something may come out of nowhere and jump us." "Oh don't be ridiculous Nightwing." Fluttershy assured Nightwing. "There are no dangerous creatures in Whitetail forest." "Fluttershy stop." Nightwing said as he and Fluttershy came to a halt. "Yes Nightwing what is it?" Fluttershy asked as Nightwing approached her. "Something's not right." Nightwing whispered in Fluttershy's ear. "What makes you think that?" Fluttershy asked in the same whisper. "I can't put my hoof on it, but something's wrong with this forest. I can feel it." "Well I have to admit this forest does seem a bit more...intimate than usual." Fluttershy said meekly. "Fluttershy hit the dirt!" Nightwing yelled as he tackled Fluttershy. "Nightwing, I'm sorry but, what was that for!?" Fluttershy demanded. "I got you away from that." Nightwing said as he got off Fluttershy and pointed to where they once stood. There, where Fluttershy and Nightwing once stood, was a pony. But he had no fur, no mane, and no pupils. What stood in front of them was a pony figure made of what appeared to be sand. But the sand was colored black, and it's eyes were fully white and had no pupils. "What is that?" Fluttershy asked Nightwing. "Not sure, lets find out." Nightwing said as he turned towards the sand pony. "Hey who are you, and side not, what are you?" The sand pony responded by closing the distance between it and Nightwing almost instantly, with a swing of it's sand hoof it upper cut Nightwing in the jaw and made him stagger back. "Nightwing!" Fluttershy shouted. Hearing Fluttershy the sand pony then drew his attention to Fluttershy and was about to attack but was intercepted by Nightwing kicking him in the side, and sending him back a few feet. The sand pony quickly recovered by shoving his hooves into the ground, using them as brakes. "Okay, I don't know who you are. What you are. Or what your capable of. But if you want to get to her, you gotta go through me first." Nightwing said boldly as he stood in front of Fluttershy. The sand pony once again closed the distance between it and Nightwing again. Only difference was that Nightwing was ready for the sand pony. The sand pony stood on its hind legs and began throwing punch's at Nightwing. Nightwing got on his hind legs as well and began blocking the sand ponies punch's. The two kept up at this until the sand pony finally landed a punch on Nightwing and Nightwing kicked the sand pony in the chest. The two were sent back a few feet, both landed on their hooves, using them as brakes, Nightwing had some scratch marks here and there on his face, but the sand pony showed no sign of injury. "Fluttershy, I don't know how much longer I can hold this thing off. I want you to get out of here now!" Nightwing ordered. "Are you joking? This may be super scary, but I'm not leaving one of my friends behind." Fluttershy said. "In need of some assistance?" A voice came from one of the trees. Fluttershy, Nightwing, and the sand pony all looked up from where the voice came from. On one of the trees branches they saw a buck Deer with orange eyes, half grown antlers, and was wearing golden armor. Next to him was a creature, made of dark brown wood, that had the figure of a pony that had no mane and where its eyes where supposed to be were two empty sockets. "Woodslan, care to do the honors?" The deer asked. "Sure thing partner." The wood pony said. With a wave of the wood ponies hoof a bow and arrows were created from the branch. "Thanks dear friend." The deer said as he grabbed an arrow with his mouth, nock an arrow in the bows string, aimed at the sand ponies head and fired. The arrow then sank into the sand ponies head, instantly killing it. In the time that took Nightwing had just blinked. "Their good." Nightwing muttered. The deer then jumped from the branch and landed on the ground with the wood pony following him. "Hello there my name is Thorn, Thorn leaf." The deer introduced himself. "Nightwing, pleasure to meet you." Nightwing said. "Thorn?" Fluttershy repeated. "Is it really you?" Thorn looked away from Nightwing and at Fluttershy. When he saw her a smile broke out on his face and he approached her. "Fluttershy, it's so good to see you again." Thorn said. "It's good to see you too thorn." Fluttershy said, a light blush appeared on her face. "Wait...you know this deer?" Nightwing asked Fluttershy. "Yeah, he was my friend when I was in school here." "Okay, I know who you are. But who's this guy?" Nightwing asked Thorn as he turned to the wood pony. "Him, he's my partner. Woodslan." Thorn answered. "And he's a Woodscolt. I haven't seen one in a long time." Fluttershy gasped. "It's a pleasure to meet you all." Woodslan said. "Well now that formalitys are out of the way, can someone tell me what the hay that...thing was?" Nightwing asked. "Of course." Thorn began. "But first we must leave this place, it's not safe. To the trees." With that Thorn and Woodslan climbed the trees and jumped from branch to branch. While Nightwing and Fluttershy flew beside them. "So, ya gonna tell us what that thing was?" Nightwing asked Thorn. "That thing, your referring too is what we call a dark sand pony." Thorn answered. "Okay, I can see why. But what was it doing in the forest?" Fluttershy asked. "Ever since you left Fluttershy the Forest has been sick. A plague lies on the forest and those creatures are connected to it." Thorn answered. "Wait, how is the Forest sick?" Nightwing asked. "The plants, the animals, even the trees are affected by the plague." Thorn answered. "Define affected." "They are all sick, as in the animals are dying, the plants are poisoned, and the trees are withering away." "That's horrible." Fluttershy gasped as she covered her mouth with her two hooves. "Indeed, we've tried all we can to stop them, but no luck. By the way, what brings you back to Whitetail Fluttershy?" Thorn asked. "Oh, I'm here to take my test. And Nightwings here to study your religion." "Interesting, however I don't know how others will react with you ponies." "Whys that?" Nightwing asked. "In our religion, we see ponies as our...opposite. Not our enemy of course, but...different." Thorn answered. "Okay, good to know." "There it is." Thorn said as the group saw a go,den gate in the distance. The group landed in front of the gate. "Who goes there?" A voice from the top of gate asked. "Thorn leaf, Woodslan, and guests." Thorn answered. The golden door soon began to open revealing the great city of Whitetail. Inside where trees that doors at the trunk and windows in it, they were homes for the deer residence. All around the place where trees, each tree had several house parts on them. But the most unique thing of the city was a humongous tree. It was the size of a mountain it was so big, and it had several house parts in it as well. "Welcome to Whitetail city." Thorn said as he walked in. The group followed him and the gate began to close behind them. "This place is...amazing!" Nightwing said with excitement. "Thank you, we consider the great tree to be our jewel of our city." Thorn said. As the group passed the trees a thought crossed Nightwings mind. "Hey quick question Fluttershy, where are we gonna stay?" Nightwing asked. "Oh don't worry, I bet we can stay in my old house." "And where's that?" "It's right over there." Thorn pointed to a tree house. "You remembered." Fluttershy said. "How could I forget?" Thorn asked. Causing Fluttershy to blush. "Well I'll leave you to your things, goodbye old friend, and good luck on that test." "Thank you Thorn." Fluttershy said as Thron began to walk away. Meanwhile in the huge tree that no one can miss. On a balcony two deer were observing Fluttershy and Nightwing. One was a buck with dark red fur, orange eyes, and full grown antlers. Next to him was a doe deer with white fur, and blue eyes. "Are you sure about this Fallwood?" The doe asked the buck. "I'm not entirely sure Winterwood. But we are not to question Natures way." Fallwood replied. "But all throughout history it was always a deer that was the Arbor susurro. Why would Nature change its way?" Winterwood asked. "I do not know but perhaps Nature wishes us to change our way?" "Well perhaps, but what will the others think?" "We will have to wait and see." Fallwood said as he walked away from the balcony and into the tree. Winterwood soon followed behind him. Chapter two The testWhen Nature gave the Gift to the Deer they treasured and worshiped the Gift. Where the ponies turned it into something else. Words from the first book. The suns rays shone through the window of the tree house. Indicating it was time to get up. Nightwing grumbled as he got up from his bed. He rubbed his eyes with his hooves to rid away the itch he felt. He looked around the room and remembered that he was in Whitetail city. Fluttershys house was roomy, it had three bedrooms. Each had a dresser, closet, queen size bed, lanterns, and a mirror. Nightwing walked out of his room and down the stairs. On the bottom level was the living room/kitchen/dining room. In the living room there was a couch and a bookshelf. In the kitchen was an oven, stove, and counter. In the dining room was a round table with six chairs. On the round table was a variety of foods that consisted of pancakes, strawberry's, eggs, hay bacon, and biscuits. Nightwing pulled up a chair and sat down. With a wave of hoof his magic came to life and he fixed himself a plate of eggs, hay bacon, and a biscuit with grape jelly. Nightwing levitated a fork into the eggs and took a chunk of eggs and ate them. 'Hmmm...cooking must run in the family.' Nightwing thought as he took another fork of eggs. "Do you like it?" Fluttershy asked. "It'll give Flash a run for his money that's for sure." Nightwing said. "I'm not used to cooking like my brother, but I hope you like it." "Let's not focuses on breakfast, lets focus on this test of yours. What's it about?" "It determines were my place is in my religion." "Can you say that simpler please?" "It tells me what tool I am for the forest." "Like what?" "The test will choose if I am to be a sunflower, someone that grows and manages all plant life. Or maybe a rose, someone that cares for the animals of the forest. Or maybe I'll be a leaf, someone that guards and protects all life in the forest. There are many paths I can choose." Fluttershy explained "Which one are you hoping to be?" Nightwing asked. "To be honest...I'm hoping I can be chosen as a rose, someone that cares for all life in the forest." "What time does this test start?" Nightwing asked. "In the afternoon." "Well what are we waiting for let's go get a head start, shall we?" Nightwing asked as he levitated his dish into the sink. "I guess it doesn't hurt to be early." Fluttershy said as she followed Nightwing. Soon the two were out the door and walking away from the house "Now, where are these tests taking place?" Nightwing asked. "In the great tree over there." Fluttershy pointed to the huge tree in the middle of the city. "Of course if is." Nightwing sighed as he and Fluttershy walked up to the large door in the tree. In front of the door were two deer guards who were both wearing golden armor. As Nightwing and Fluttershy got close enough to the door the guards crossed their spears together blocking the entrance. "Halt." One guard said sternly. "What is your business here?" The other said. "I am here to take my test, may I please enter?" Fluttershy asked. "Very well, what is your business bat-pony?" "You know, it's rude to address someone by their race when their right in front of you. And I'm here to supervise Fluttershy." Nightwing answered. "Very well you may enter." The guard said as he and the other opened the door. Nightwing and Fluttershy entered the room. Across from them was four doors. Above each door was an insignia. One had a flower above it, one had a leaf above it, one had a branch, and one had a drop of water. "What do you think this is Nightwing?" Fluttershy asked. "Nightwing?" Fluttershy looked all around but Nightwing was gone. So was the door that she came in. All that was in the room was the four doors. "Nightwing?! Nightwing where are you?!" Fluttershy yelled. "Nightwing...I...I'm scared, where are you? Help...please?" Fluttershy said meekly, as tears began to form in her eyes. "There's no need to be scared young one." A calm and female voice came from her mind. "Hello who's there?" Fluttershy asked. "I'm a friend who's here to help you, don't worry this is all part of the test." "Well if this is part of the test, then I must choose a door. Right?" "Yes, that is the point of the test. Choose a door to determine your path." "Okay then." Fluttershy said boldly as she approached the door with a leaf on it. "Hold on now." The voice said as Fluttershy came to a halt. "What? What is it?" "You Fluttershy have a very special gift inside of you. And I would just hate for it's potential to be wasted on one of these paths." "But these doors are my only way out." "Not entirely true. Behind you is a secret door, if you believe what I say then you will choose that door and receive a special gift or you can choose on of these four doors in front of you, the choose is yours." "A secret door? What kind of secret door?" "..." "Hello?" "..." "I guess your gone." Fluttershy said as she backed away from the four doors and looked at them. She then turned around to the wall behind her. Without a second thought Fluttershy walked towards the back wall and began to examine the wall. She lifted her hoof and pushed on the wood. She closed her eyes and pushed on the wood. Then the wood began to light up on where her hoof was. Fluttershy removed her hoof to see a door handle. She turned the handle and the wood opened up like it was a door. Inside was a blinding light. She walked towards the bright light as the door closed behind her. There was nothing. A white void of nothing. Fluttershy walked around the room in hopes to find something but there was nothing. "I see you took my advise." The voice came from behind her. And now there's something. Fluttershy turned around to see a light green Alicorn with a long green mane and violet eyes. "W-who are you?" Fluttershy asked meekly. "Hehehe." The Alicorn chuckled lightly. "My dear Fluttershy there's no need to be afraid. My name is Nature." Fluttershy gasped. "I had no idea, I'm sorry oh great God." "There's no need for that my dear I've come to give you something." "What?" "This." With a poof of her magic Nature had summoned an oval gem that was light green. She then levitated it over to Fluttershy who held it in her hoof. "What is it?" Fluttershy asked. "It is a gift, one I want you to give to a deer named Thorn." "Why? If you don't mind me asking?" "I don't, and...it's best that I don't tell you." "Okay, so what happens now?" "This." Nature said as she placed her horn on Fluttershys head. "Congratulations Fluttershy, you've passed." As a magical aura surrounded Natures horn Fluttershy disappeared. Back at the great tree. "You know, if you guys wanted me to not go inside with Fluttershy you could have just told me, you didn't need to teleport me here." Nightwing complained to one of the guards. "Anyways, Fluttershy will be coming out of one of those doors right?" Nightwing gestured to the four doors in front of them. "That is correct." The guard said. "Hey Nightwing." A voice called him out. Nightwing turned his head to see that voice belonged to Thorn who was walking up to him. "Hello again Thorn, how's it going?" Nightwing asked. "Good, so Fluttershys taking her test huh?" "Yeah, to be honest I'm kinda worried." "Don't be, Fluttershy may look a bit weak but she's a strong mare I know it-gah!" Thorn cringed as a bright flash erupted in the room. Everyone in the room all shielded their eyes away from the flash. When the light faded a collapsed Fluttershy was in front of them. "Fluttershy!" Thorn said as he and Nightwing ran up to her and helped her up. "Ngg...Th-Thorn?" Fluttershy said meekly "It's okay Fluttershy, everything is gonna be fine." "Well done Ms.Fluttershy." A voice said. The trio looked up to see four deer were in front of them. One was a buck that had orange fur, and red eyes, another was a doe with brown fur, white spots, and yellow eyes. The last two deer were deer you already know as Winterwood and Fallwood. "The high council deer." Thorn said as he bowed to the four deer. "Rise guard Thorn. We are here to congratulate Fluttershy here." The orange fur deer said. "Why?" Fluttershy asked. "Because Fluttershy, you are the first ever pony in history to be on the path you've chosen." "What path have I chosen?" "Forgive me for my lack of proper introductions. Congratulations Fluttershy, you are the first pony to have chosen the path of Arbor susurro. The Tree whisperer." Chapter three The Tree WhispererThe great tree is the first tree to ever exist. It was planted by Nature to be a symbol of her vision. Words from the First book. "I...I'm a Arbor susurro?" Fluttershy said. "A tree whisper, and yes. You are the first ever pony to be an Arbor susurro." The orange deer said. "Okay time out, some of us don't know what an 'Arbor-what's it's name." Nightwing said. "Ah, forgive us mister. You see in ancient times the deer and ponies had risen from the dirt. Then, the one named 'Arbor susurro' came and gave us the gift of nature. Since then the Arbor susurro has always been a sacred being in all of history." "What exactly can the Arbor susurro do?" "The Arbor susurro can communicate with all forms of life, such as animals, plants, even trees." "So the Arbor susurro can talk to all forms of living beings, that's neat." "But that's not all, the Arbor susurro is the one who will become the leader of us." "A-as in a queen?" Fluttershy stammered. "Well...yes something like that." The orange deer replied. Fluttershy then held her hoof to her head and fainted. But Thorn rushed quickly to her side and supported her up. "I know that this is a lot to take in. But we cannot question Natures way, for her way is one that cannot be judged." The orange deer said. "Ms. Fluttershy wherever you lead we shall follow." Winterwood said. "We are all gracious to follow you, oh Tree whisperer." The four deer said in unison as the bowed to Fluttershy. Thorn and the guard then did the same. They all looked at Nightwing who was standing. Thorn then mouthed the words 'why Arn't you bowing'? "I'm not apart of your religion, I don't have to bow." Nightwing said. "I-I-I-" Fluttershy stammered. "Miss, I know this is hard to take in. But nature would not have chosen you unless she had a reason." The brown deer said. "I-I-I... I need a minute!" Fluttershy shouted as she ran out the door. "Great Tree whisperer, wait!" The red deer was about to go after her but was held back by Nightwing. "Let Thorn and I talk to Fluttershy, she needs some friend time." Nightwing said. "Very well if you insist." The red deer said. Thorn ran off after Fluttershy Nightwing was about to do the same but stopped at the doorway and looked back at the five deer. "Before I go, what are your names. You didn't exactly introduce yourselves." Nightwing said. "My name is Winterwood." The white deer said. "My name is Fallwood." The red deer said. "My name is Springwood." The brown deer said. "And my name is Summerwood." The orange deer said. "Names Nightwing student of Princess Luna, pleasure to meet you all." "Nightwing, come on!" Thorn shouted down the hall. "Oops, you heard the deer I gotta go. Bye." Nightwing said as he rushed out the door. Fluttershy kept running and running, it felt like her whole world just shattered into pieces only to reveal the core inside of it. Soon though Fluttershy began to run slower and slower. Slowly running out of energy. Until she finally collapsed onto the dirt road and began to cry. 'What am I gonna do?' She thought in her mind. 'Im not fit to rule, not like Twilight is, how am I gonna rule a kingdom?' Endless tears kept falling down Fluttershys face as she thought of all the horrible things that could happen to her. "Cease your crying little girl." A voice said. Fluttershy lifted her head up to see that her God, Nature, was standing in front of her. "Nature?" Fluttershy asked in a tearful voice as she got up. "Shhhhh...it is okay my dear follower, I understand what you must be going through." Nature said. "Y-y-you do?" "Yes, you see I wasn't always a God. I was chosen to be become one." Nature said as she began to remember her past. "It's pretty scary isn't it? One minute your a simple creature minding your own business in your simple life, next thing you know your chosen to make a huge difference in the world." "B-but what if I'm not ready to lead a kingdom? What if I'm not ready to lead an entire species? What if-" "Fluttershy, if you were not ready I wouldn't have chosen you." "But-but what if-" "But nothing, you will do fine. You just need a little courage." "But-" "Fluttershy do you have faith in me?" Nature asked "What?" Fluttershy asked confused "Do you have faith in me?" Nature repeated. "Of course I do, I will always have faith in you. Your our God, we will always have faith in you." "Good. Then you must trust me on this." "I...I'm still scared though." "That's good." Nature said as she put her hooves on Fluttershys shoulders. "It is?" "It is. Because with fear comes courage, you cannot have courage until you have faced fear. And to face your fear you must first have one." "..." "Fluttershy you will be the greatest Arbor susurro the world has ever seen. I know it." Nature then noticed she was holding the green gem Nature gave her. "I-I'm sorry I forgot to give it to Thorn." Fluttershy said to her God. "It's alright, take your time. Now go, their all looking for you." "I will not let you down Nature." Fluttershy said confidently as she ran off leaving Nature by herself. "I know your there." Nature said. Almost alone. "Come now my dear I can observe can't I?" A voice asked. Out of nowhere a familiar pony was beside Nature. "What do you want Messenger?" Nature asked. "I came to see how you were doing, to make sure my Masters plan goes well." Messenger said. "I don't like this plan that Storyteller has, it doesn't feel right." "Tsk-tsk. Oh dear Aranyani you seem to forget what it's like to experience Chaos and death." "It's not...well alright maybe it is that, it just doesn't feel...right." "My dear, you know that you don't have a choice. Or do you wish to defy Storyteller? The being who sculpted Cosmos and Galaxia?" "But he sculpted them to ensure peace and harmony on the world." "And then he realized that it is impossible to obtain peace that way. The only way to peace is through many ways. But harmony isn't one of them." "So that's Storytellers plan? Peace? He wishes to obtain peace through Chaos and death?" "Something like that dear cousin." "Just because you were sculpted by Storyteller and I was sculpted by Galaxia doesn't make us cousins." Nature growled. "Are you sure, because I believe it does." Messenger said. "Well it's been fun chatting with you, but I must get back to watching the Story." Messenger said as he disappeared. Then suddenly reappeared in front of Nature. "Oh, before I go I must ask." Messenger said as he flew up to eye level with Nature. "Did Thorn receive the Element of Chaos?" "Not yet, but Fluttershy will deliver it to him. I know it." Nature replied. "If you say so." Messenger shrugged and disappeared. "We've searched all over Whitetail city and can't find Fluttershy anywhere." Nightwing said to Thorn. "I'll inform the guard to join in the search for her." Thorn said. "Don't bother." Nightwing said. "What? Why?" "She's right there." Nightwing pointed to Fluttershy, who was a couple of feet away from them with her back facing them. "Fluttershy!" Thorn yelled and ran towards her with Nightwing following him. "Thorn?" Fluttershy asked as she turned around to see Thorn and Nightwing rushing towards her. "Oh it is you Thorn." "Fluttershy, where were you we've been looking all over the city trying to find you." Thorn said with worry in her voice. "Really?" Fluttershy said dreamy. Then realized what came out of her mouth and quickly corrected herself. "I mean...really?" "Yes really, however on the plus side I can cancel my afternoon jog." Nightwing said. "I'm sorry I made you all run around the city trying to find me, I shouldn't have ran off." Fluttershy said apologetically. "There's nothing to be sorry for." Thorn assured her. "What?" Both Fluttershy and Nightwing asked at the same time. "You were put in a difficult position. Anyone, pony or deer, would have done the same thing if they were in your shoes." "Th-thanks Thorn." Fluttershy said, a light blush began to form on her cheeks. "But if you don't want to be Arbor susurro then you tell the Council that, they will understand." "But that's just it, I do want to do this." "You do?!" Nightwing said in shock. "Are you sure?" Thorn asked. "Yes, I'm sure. Let's go to the council and tell them I've made my decision." "Alright if you say so." Thorn said. The three began to walk towards the Great tree. "Thorn there's something I want to give you." Fluttershy said. "Yeah? What's that?" Thorn asked. "This." Fluttershy said as she revealed the Gem. Nightwing recognized it immediately. "Where did you get that?" Nightwing asked. "Would you believe me if I told you I got it from Nature?" Fluttershy asked. "Uhhh...I guess?" "Thank you Fluttershy." Thorn said as he took the gem. "I'll always hold onto it." Thorn held it up to examine the gem. It then began go vibrate in his hoof and then became attached Thorns armor chest plate. "What the?" Thorn said puzzled. He tried to pull the gem off his chest plate but it wouldn't budge. "Well you definitely won't loose it now." Nightwing said causing the three to give off a light chuckle. Some time later. Nightwing, Thorn, and Fluttershy were all outside the door to the council's room. "Are you sure you want to do this Fluttershy?" Nightwing asked. "Because once you do this...there's no going back." *sigh*"I know. But like I said before Nightwing, I've made up my mind." Fluttershy said. "Then I will not hold you for your actions." Nightwing said. "Neither will I." Thorn said. "Thank you both. Thank you for staying by my side." Fluttershy said as tears began to swell in her eyes. She then felt a hoof on her shoulder. She turned around to see that the hoof belonged to Thorn. "We'll always be beside you, because your our friend." Thorn said. With that Fluttershy looked back at the door and exhaled her held breath as she opened the door. Inside was a room with windows that were perfectly aligned on the sides. At the end of the room were two large thrones on top of a small staircase. One was made of flowers of all kinds on the back and legs of the chair, and the throne had rose red cousins on the front of the chair and the seat. Next to the flower throne was a throne with leaves instead of flowers, as well as red cousins like the flower throne. At the bottom of the staircase was Winterwood, Springwood, Summerwood, and Fallwood. "Hello again Ms.Fluttershy, how may we help you?" Winterwood asked. "First, I would really appreciate it if you called me Fluttershy, nothing more nothing less...if you don't mind?" Fluttershy asked. "Of course not Ms-I mean Fluttershy." Summerwood said. "Thank you, and second. I have decided that I will accept my place as Arbor susurro, the Tree whisperer." "Splendid. Now we must begin the ceremony." Springwood said. The deer asked Fluttershy to step forward towards them, the deer then made a small circle around her and then began to speak. "Fluttershy, do you accept the responsibility of being Arbor susurro?" Summerwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "To be our shield and protect all living things, even if it means endangering your own life?" Fallwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "To serve as a light of hope when the becomes enclosed in darkness?" Winterwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "To be our leader and guide us to our fates?" Springwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "Speak of who you are Fluttershy, say the words that define your place!" All four deer shouted at once. "I am the spade wielded by Nature, I am a tool used to shape the world in natures image, And I am the one who will protect all things living." Fluttershy said as her eyes began to glow white and her wings began to hover her in the air. "I am Fluttershy, The Tree Whisperer!" Chapter four The Arbor susurro is revealed.The Arbor susurro has three forms. The Spade of Nature, The Water of Nature, and the Scythe of Nature. Words from the first book. Soon the white glow in Fluttershys eyes began to fade away and she began to slowly sail to the ground. She groaned as she held her hoof up to her head hoping to stop the pounding noise in her head. She then looked up to see that the four deer smiling warmly at her. "Why are you all smiling?" Fluttershy asked. "Becuase my dear, you are now officially the Arbor susurro." Fallwood said. "Tell us, how does it feel?" "Like hundreds of bells are going off inside my head." Fluttershy groaned. "You'll get used to it, now we must get you ready for your appearance." Winterwood said. "Appearance?" Fluttershy repeated. "Yes appearance, when you present yourself to all the deer in Whitetail and show them that you are the Arbor susurro." Springwood explained. "Oh." Fluttershy said her pupils dialing down in fear. "Something the matter?" Winterwood asked. "I...kinda...have...stage fright." Fluttershy said while rubbing the back of her head with her hoof. "Fluttershy I know you might be scared." Thorn said as he placed his hoof on her shoulder. "But you can do this." "Hey deer council, is it alright that we stick near Fluttershy when she makes her appearance?" Nightwing asked. "If it will help her out, then I will not stop you." "Wonderful, now Fluttershy you get changed into something decent for your appearance while Thorn and I get changed as well." "O-okay." Fluttershy mumbled as she followed Springwood and Winterwood into another room. "Come on Thorn let's go get us something nice to wear." Nightwing said, nudging Thorn to follow him. "Okay." Thorn replied. "Are you nervous Fluttershy?" Winterwood asked as deer designers took measurements of her body. "Well...a little to honest." Fluttershy said. "May I ask why?" "Well a lot of it has to do with me becoming Arbor susurro." "Don't worry about that, you'll do fine I know it." "You sound a lot like Nature." "Wait you saw Nature? You saw our Goddess?!" Winterwood asked "Well...um...y-yes?" "What did she look like?! Was she a golden deer like the First book described?! Was she a beautiful doe like we all thought?! You have to tell me!" Winterwood yelled as she got right up in FLuttershys face. "Um...y-y-your a bit to close." Fluttershy said meekly. "Oh. Sorry got a little carried away there, Also I can't know of what Nature looks like. For her vision must be the only thing we see." "To be honest she looked a lot different than what the First book described." "Ah! No, no, no, I did not just hear that! Lalalalala!" Winterwood yelled as she covered her ears with her hoof. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to tell." Fluttershy said quickly. "Ignore my sister, lets get back to the question at hoof?" Springwood said. "Why are you are nervous? Anydeer would be thrilled to be Arbor susurro. So why are you?" "Well...it's...it's because I'm not a deer. I'm a pony. And what if the Deer don't accept me as their Arbor susurro? What if they all hate me? What if they all will throw me out of Whitetail and forbid me from their religion? What if-" Fluttershy began to ramble but was cut off by Springwood putting a hoof in front of her mouth and shushed her. "Nonsense, true there will be some that will not agree with you being Arbor susurro. But they will adjust in time. For it is Natures decision. And we cannot question her judgement." "Your right I need to be brave." Fluttershy said as she raised her right hoof in the air. "Miss Fluttershy, please put your hoof down so we can put on the dress." A designer said. "Oops. Sorry." "My sister is right Fluttershy, you mustn't let fear overcome you, if it does you will not be able to be Arbor susurro." Winterwood said. "Thank you. Thank you both." "All done Miss." A designer said as she put a large mirror in front of her so she could see the dress. "Oh...my...goodness." Fluttershy said in awe. Meanwhile in the hallway Nightwing and Thorn were waiting outside the balcony door for Fluttershy. "I can't believe you deer actually have pony armor." Nightwing said as he admired the golden armor he was wearing. "Our armor comes from you ponies, we just melt it down and shape it for us deer so we can wear it." Thorn said. "I can see why you'd want pony armor, what with the material being enchanted. But what do we get out of it?" "We give you some of our valuable items, such as seeds, fruit, and cloth." "Yeah I guess that makes sense." "Um...hi guys." A shy voice said. Nightwing and Thorn turned around to see Fluttershy was wearing a light green dress that covered her body, a long faded white cape that was attached to the neck of the dress, and a ring crown with white flowers what on her head. Her mane and tail were well brushed and she was wearing shoes made of leaves on her hooves. "Woah." Both Nightwing and Thorn said in unison which caused Fluttershy to blush a little. "I look silly don't I?" Fluttershy asked. "Well that depends, do you want my opinion? Or Thorns?" Nightwing asked. "Um...both?" "Very well I'll go first. Fluttershy...you look a little silly in that dress." "What about you Thorn?" "You look amazing." Thorn said. "Thanks." Fluttershy said with a slight blush. "Okay we have gathered all the deer, there outside. Is Fluttershy ready?" Fallwood asked as he entered the room. "I see that she is." Fallwood said once she saw Fluttershy. "You ready to make your appearance?" Nightwing asked. "Yes, I am." Fluttershy answered. "Well what are we waiting for lets go." Nightwing said as he opened the door. But then, just as Nightwing had opened the door, everything froze in it's place. It was as if time itself had stopped. "What?" Fluttershy questioned as she looked around. "Hello again Fluttershy." A familiar voice said. Fluttershy turned around to see that the voice belonged to her Goddess, Nature. "Nature! It's so good to see you again." Fluttershy said with excitement. "It is good to see you to my dear Tree whisperer." Nature said. "Are you the reason that time has stopped?" "No, a friend of mine is doing that. I came to see how you are doing and I wanted to see you at your appearance." "Nature...I don't know if I can do this." "Why ever not? You just said that you were thrilled to be Arbor susurro. Why are afraid again?" "Because...because I'm worried that I'll never see my friends again." "Why do you think that?" "It's just that if I'm Arbor susurro, that means that I have to stay here and rule Whitetail. And if I'm so busy doing that then I'll never see my friends again." Fluttershy said as her head dropped and tears began to swell in her eyes. "Fluttershy listen." Nature said as she lifted Fluttershys head with her hoof. "It is true that you won't see your friends that much, but that doesn't mean your friendship will end." "But what if I don't see them again?" "Trust me Fluttershy, I know that your friendship will not end. In fact, when this is all over it will be stronger than ever." "What do you mean, when this is over?" "When the deer accept you as Arbor susurro of course." "Thank you nature. You truly are a wise Goddess." "Thank you. Now go out there and show them that you Arbor susurro." As time began to flow again Nature looked down at the ground with a sad look on her face. 'If only I could tell you.' Nature thought as she disappeared. Meanwhile outside the great tree Summerwood was in front of the doorway with a large crowd of deer in front of him. Summerwood cleared his th "Buck's and doe's!" Summerwood shouted to the large group of deer that were in front of the great tree. "It is with great pleasure that I inform you that our Goddess Nature has chosen an Arbor susurro!" The crowd of deer stomped the ground with their hooves giving off a clapping sound. Each clap that the deer made was fueled with their excitement. Their claps continued until Summerwood raised his right hoof, signaling that the clapping be ceased. "Now I'm sure you all want to see her right?" Summerwood asked. The whole crowd yelled a yes in response. "Well I guess we have our answer. Come on out now." The doors opened and Nightwing, Thorn, and Fluttershy walked out of the door. "Deer. Meet your Arbor susurro." Summerwood said. The whole crowd went dead silent each had a look of shock and disbelief on their faces. It was is the crowd thought, 'this is our Arbor susurro? The one who is our savior?' Fluttershy's head dropped in shame. Her greatest fear came true, she wasn't accepted by the deer. "Excuse me?" A young a high voice asked. Fluttershy lifted her head up to see a young fawn with tiny antler nubs on his head. "Are you the Arbor susurro?" The young fawn asked. "Y-yes." Fluttershy mumbled. "Why are you a pony?" "Because I was born a pony." "No, I mean why did nature choose you to be Arbor susurro?" "I...I don't know actually, she didn't tell me." "Well if Nature chose you to be Arbor susurro, then does that mean that you will protect us no matter the cost?" "Of course I would." "One last thing, I have a gift for you." The fawn said as held out his hoof. Fluttershy looked to see the fawn was holding a seed. "Can you plant this and make it bloom?" "I-I can try." Fluttershy said as she took the seed from the fawn and dug a small hole with her hoof. She then planted the seed in the ground and buried it in the dirt. Then she closed her eyes and waited for something to happen. She then heard gasps come from in front of her. She opened her eyes to see that where she had planted the seed was now a flower with green and pink pedals. She looked to the fawn to see he was bowing. She looked to the crowd to see they were doing the same. "All hail the Arbor susurro." The fawn said. "All hail the water of Nature." "All hail the Tree whisperer." The crowd said in unison. "May she guide us on the path of life." "Amen." They all said. (Minus Nightwing.) Fluttershy looked down at the colt. Millions of thoughts ran through her brain as she thought of what to say what to do. Then she knew. "Rise my dear followers." Fluttershy said. The deer complied and rose from their bows. "I hope that I can be a good Arbor susurro and lead you all on the path of life." Fluttershy said and then looked down at the fawn. "And thank you, young fawn, for believing in me." "No problem Arbor susurro, I'm happy that you are leading us on the path of life." The fawn said. "I will admit it'll take some time to get used to a pony being the Arbor susurro." "I can work with that." "Alright everydeer it's time for us all to leave the Arbor susurro alone, she has much to do." Summerwood said. The crowd began to disperse and Fluttershy, Thorn, Nightwing, and Summerwood all headed back to the Great tree. Unknown that someone was scowling at them. "Unbelievable." A buck deer, with brown fur, one full grown antler instead of two, and blue eyes said. "What's unbelievable general Thicket?" A buck deer with brown fur, full grown antlers, and brown eyes asked. "What's unbelievable is that 'pony'." Thicket said, putting venom on the word pony. "Thinks she's the Arbor susurro." "But you saw the flower bloom, it shows that she is the Arbor susurro." "Did you see the bat-pony that was with the Pegasus?" "Yeah, so?" "Then you should have sensed that he is a Shadow knight, creatures that can control lunar magic." "So?" "So, the bat-pony could have used his magic to make the flower bloom." "Well as convincing as that sounds, what about the color of the pedals?" "He could have used a color change spell as soon as the flower was going to bloom." "By Nature...your right. But why would the ponies want to be the Arbor susurro?" "To deceive us. Ever since Nature created the deer and ponies from dirt we have always been enemy's. Now one of them is posing as our savior and is trying to deceive us. We cannot let this stand!" "What are your orders Commander Thicket?" "We must gain more deer that will follow our cause. We will need them to attack those that will defy our cause." "Yes sir, I shall gather as many as I can." With that the deer soldier ran off to begin his mission. Leaving Thicket alone in his office. Thicket closed his eyes and began to say a prayer. "Hail Nature, the protector and Light in our darkest days." Thicket said as he began his prayer. "Nature I call upon you to give me one of your gifts. Give me the gift of strength. Let me have the strength to destroy my enemy and restore order to our way." Thicket then looked up at the wood ceiling above him as he finished his prayer. "Let me by your scythe, so that I may cut down the weed that will plague your garden." Chapter five you raise me up.Water, dirt, air. The seeds of life rely on these so the can bloom. Words from the First book. Nightwing, Thorn, and Fluttershy all walked along the wood hallway in search of the throne room. Meanwhile Fluttershy had never felt more relieved in her life. The deer accepted her. Well most of them accepted her. But they still accepted her as Arbor susurro. "Are you okay Fluttershy?" Thorn asked. "You look kinda...dazed." "Huh...oh, I'm fine Thorn I'm just happy that the deer accepted me as the Arbor susurro." Fluttershy smiled. "That's all." "Well if you say so." Nightwing said. "So...how does it feel to rule a kingdom?" "A bit overwhelming I must admit. I wish my friends were here to help." Fluttershy said sadly. "Your friends are here to help." Nightwing said. "Thorn and I, we helped you become the Arbor susurro remember?" "That's right. See you aren't alone." Thorn said. "I'm so glad that I have such good friends." Fluttershy said. Both blushed madly as they pushed away from one another. "We better get to the Throne room." Thorn said quickly. "Yeah, we should." Fluttershy said as well as she began to walk away. Nightwing ran next to Thorn and whispered into his ear, "Missed your chance, buddy." With that Nightwing walked away with Thorn following behind them. 'Are muzzles were so close.' Fluttershy thought as she began to walk faster. 'It was almost like he was going to kiss me.' "Um Fluttershy?" Nightwing asked. "Huh?" "You passed the Throne room." Nightwing pointed out. "Oh. Oops." Fluttershy said as she turned around and walked back to Nightwing. "Are you two sure you don't want some alone time?" Nightwing asked Thorn and Fluttershy. "Yes!" Thorn and Fluttershy said quickly. "Okay then, let's begin this meeting." Nightwing said as he opened the door. Inside the council was talking about something. But as the doors opened they all went silent and bowed. "Ah Fluttershy your here." Winterwood said. "Now we can begin the meeting." Fallwood said. "Alright." Fluttershy said as she walked towards the two thrones and sat on the leaf one. "Um...Fluttershy. Your throne is the other one." Springwood pointed out. "Oh, sorry." Fluttershy blushed lightly as she got up from the leaf throne and sat on the flower throne. "Now then, what's this meeting all about huh?" Nightwing asked the deer council. "It's about the recent attacks in the forest." Springwood said bluntly. "You mean the sand ponies?" "Yes those. We have tried our best to rid the forest of the plague but we haven't been able too." "Well I guess I can understand that. But the major question is, why are they in Whitetail?" Nightwing asked. "Why Whitetail? Why attack the golden jewel of all deer?" "Some believe that they are demons that have come to destroy natures garden." Fallwood suggested. "Possible." Nightwing said. "Maybe there's a rich resources that we don't know about and they do?" Springwood suggested. "Not likely" Nightwing said. "Could it be that they wish to be friends with us but can't say it?" Fluttershy suggested. "Never." Nightwing said as he threw his hooves in the air. "Gah! This is so frustrating! What is it that makes Whitetail the most special?!" "Well, Whitetail is called the deers jewel because of it's trees." Thorn said. "Wait...that's it!" Nightwing yelled. "What's it?" Winterwood asked. "What the sand ponies are after. It's so obvious!" "And just what is so obvious?" Fallwood asked. "It's the trees! The sand ponies are after the trees!" "But...if they are after the trees why are they unaffected?" Summerwood asked. "Because ever since I've got here I've had a weird vibe coming off this place, and when I came into the Great tree the vibe got stronger." "But what does that have to do with the trees and the sand ponies?" Springwood asked. "Simple. The sand ponies are draining magic from the trees." "Magic...in the trees?" Fallwood said. "Yes, it must all be connected to the great tree." "But even if the sand ponies are draining magic from the trees, why would they do that?" Fluttershy asked. "Fluttershy's right, we know what the sand ponies are after, but we don't know why." Nightwing pondered. "Perhaps-" Summerwood was about to say something but the doors to the room burst open, cutting Summerwood off. All eyes stared at a deer guard who looked like he had just ran a ton of miles. "Coun...cil...Thicket...riot...need...help." The guard wheezed. "Easy there buddy, what are you talking about?" Thorn asked. "Sorry...it's Thicket. He's gathered a large group of deer and their demanding the Arbor susurro." "Why would commander Thicket demand such a thing?" Summerwood asked. "I don't know, but he has half of the guard and a large amount of the deer with him." "I'll go and see what this is all about. You guys stay put." Thorn said as he ran off with the guard behind him. Thorn and the guard kept running down the hall until the came to the doorway to the Great tree. He opened the door to meet the large group of deer that consider of guards and deer citizens. All had angry looks on their faces. In front of the group was Thicket himself. "Thicket what is the meaning of this?" Thorn asked. "Where is the pony?" Thicket demanded. "That is none of your concern. Now tell me what is going on?" "I'll tell you what's going on. Where restoring the order, that's what Thorn." "Thicket is the true Arbor susurro not that pony!" A deer shouted. "Bring her out so that she may have justice for her crimes!" Another shouted. "All of you, you dare defy Natures way?! You dare defy the third code of law?!" "This is not Natures way." Thicket spat. "This is trickery." "Yeah!" A deer shouted. "How is this trickery? Tell me why you think Fluttershy is not fit to be Arbor susurro?" Thorn demanded. "I'll tell you why. It's because she's a pony! Ever since the creation of Deer and Pony we have always been opposites. Why don't you see that Thorn?!" Thicket growled. "Because she's a pony that means she cannot lead us?" "No. It means she will lead us off the path of life! She will cast darkness on us! They cannot be trusted!" "I've heard enough of this." Thorn said as he and the guard turned around and walked back into the door shutting it tight behind them and locking it. "Forgive me Nature." Thicket whispered. "Alright they have decided to be our enemy. Break down the door!" All the deer turned to Thicket with shocked expressions on their faces. "Did I stutter?" Thicket asked. "N-no Thicket...it's just that...your asking us to defile on of Natures most treasured gifts." A guard said. "And if we don't break down that door how many more of Natures gifts will that pony destroy?" Thicket asked. "Break down the door." "Thickets doing what?!" Summerwood shouted. "He has a large group of deer with him and he intends to harm Fluttershy." Thorn stated. "Why would he do such a thing?" Fluttershy asked. "He thinks you are not fit to be Arbor susurro." Thorn stated. "I always figured Thicket was a bit...offended that a pony became Arbor susurro. But to go this far." "Thorn. Please tell me that we have enough troops to fend them off?" Nightwing asked Thorn." "I'm afraid not. We're outnumbered three to one." Thorn said. "I have an idea, can you guys hold them off while I go get help." Nightwing suggested. "Nightwing I can't ask you to do that. I'll go, if I leave then Thicket won't endanger the deer here." Fluttershy said. "Not a wise idea. Their here for you remember, the second one of them spots you in the sky they'll shoot you down with a bow and arrow. And the council can't go because there wouldn't be enough time." Nightwing stated. "But what's stopping them from shooting you down?" "I have magic remember, I'll just turn invisible so they won't spot me." "Be safe dear friend." Thorn said. "I will, don't worry about me. Worry about protecting Fluttershy." Nightwing said. "I'll be back with help." With that Nightwing ran off turned himself invisible and flew out one of the windows. In the town of Ponyville a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane and violet eyes flew above the pink mare known as Pinkie. "So Dashie what do you want to do today as a prank?" Pinkie asked. "I kinda thought we should take all of Twilights books and hide them somewhere?" Rainbow dash suggested. "That sounds kinda funny-" Pinkie cut herself off as she looked behind her to see that her tail was twitching uncontrollably. "TWICHY TAIL!!" Pinkie yelled at the top of her lungs. The second she said that a fast grey blur came crashing down on the dirt. "Owwwwww." A voice groaned. "Oh, hey Nightwing." Pinkie greeted. "Why did you crash land?" "No time to explain. Get Everyone that could be helpful and bring them to my house!" Nightwing yelled as he grabbed Pinkie by the shoulders. "What? Why?" The pink mare asked dumbfound. "Fluttershys in trouble!" "Say no more Nightwing." Rainbow dash said as she zoomed off. "Pinkie, are Flash and Lightning strike out of the hospital?" Nightwing asked. "Yep yep they checked out two days ago. I know because I threw them a welcome-back-from-dreamland party." "Of course you did." Nightwing said as he let go of Pinkie and trotted towards his house. Once everyone was gathered (Flash, Lightning strike, Sunset shimmer, Comet tail, Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow dash, Spike, a white unicorn mare with a dark purple mane and blue eyes name rarity, and a light orange earth pony mare with a blond mane, light freckles on her face, and green eyes, and she wore a cowgirl hat. Her name was Applejack.) Once everypony was there Nightwing explained what was going on in Whitetail. "Oh dear." Rarity said as she covered her mouth with her hoof. Twilight said. "Well it won't matter if we're all just sitting around doing nothing. Nightwing can you take us to Whitetail?" Flash asked. "Okay, but we'll have to use Twilights personal train." Nightwing said "I have my own personal train?" Twilight asked. "You never used it." With that Twilights train arrived and they all boarded it. The train then began to move towards Whitetail. All had determination to help their friend. Chapter six the final chapter.Chapter six the final chapter abridged Twilights private train arrives to find that Whitetail forest was destroyed by the sand ponies because they overran the deer in their time of conflict. Because of this Whitetail forest was no more. However in their time of grief Fluttershy found a seed where the great tree used to be. Nature then appears to tell Fluttershy that she knew that sand ponies would destroy Whitetail forest, and that she needed someone who wasn't a deer to lead them to a better life. That is why she chose Fluttershy to be the Arbor susurro. Because the deer were so devoted to thinking that the ponies were their opposite they would not seek help from them. But if a pony was the Arbor susurro, they would seek help and unite the deer and ponies. Because even though the deer believe that pony and deer are completely different they are wrong. So the made a new bible, one that they wright about the true way for peace and harmony to exist. It is called 'The Path To Peace.' As for Thicket, he is serving his crime in a cell in Canterlot. And that is the end of the book. Not! In a long and narrow hallway with a red carpet on the floor lanterns hanging on each side of the wall lighting the way for others, Clutterstep was race walking towards a large set of double old fashion wooden doors. Clutterstep burst through them and entered the room the doors had hid. Inside was a room with only a couple of steps at the end of the room and a large dark throne on the top of it. As Clutterstep walked towards the throne a dark figure gazed at him as he moved. As soon as Clutterstep got to the first step he kneeled before the throne. "Forgive me master." Clutterstep began. "I somehow failed to kill the four ponies you sent me to kill." Clutterstep said. "Don't fret your pretty little head dear." A new voice said. One of a mare. "I'll forgive you." Clutterstep jerked his head up towards the throne."You?!" Clutterstep growled. "Where is the Master?!" Clutterstep demanded. "He's out getting a new member." The mare said bluntly. "Oh, and I'm here to tell you something very important." "What's that?" Clutterstep growled "To pack your things of course. We're leaving this place because Nightwing and his little friends will no doubt be snooping around the Everfree forest trying to find us." The Mare grinned. "Now who's fault could that be, I wonder?" Clutterstep growled as his hair and fur began to stand on end. "Ah, ah, ah." The mare said as she poked Clutterstep on the muzzle, making him calm down. "You know the masters rules." "Very well. But I'm only doing this because the Master said it. Not you." "Whatever makes you sleep at night dear." The voice said as Clutterstep stormed off out the large doors. 'A new member? Who could that be?' Clutterstep thought as he walked through the hallway. In the Canterlot dungeons. Thickets cell was anything special. It had everything you'd expect a jail cell to have. Hard stone bed, a sink, and of course a bared door and window. Standing in front of the cell were four deer guards. Two Does, and two Bucks. All four wore green light armor that covered their back, stomach, and neck. On their hooves were leaf like shoes made for speed. On top of their heads were custom green helmets that covered the left, right, and back of her head, leaving a large opening in the front. On the left side of both bucks was a long sword with a light green hilt. Both swords were sheathed in a scabbard. The Does both had a wooden bow on their back along with a brown quiver full of steel tipped arrows with green feathers on the back of them. All seemed calm in the area until in the blink of an eye a hooded figure appeared out of nowhere a couple of feet across from the four guards. The four guards were startled when the hooded figure appeared but they soon got their back and prepared for battle. The Does equipped their bows and loaded an arrow in the bow and pulled the string back and aimed at the hooded figure in record time. The Bucks clenched their swords with their mouths as they drew their swords from their scabbards. Revealing the steel swords. The hooded figure only grinned at the guards. All went silent until a Doe broke the silence. "This is a restricted area, identify yourself immediately." The Doe demanded The hooded figure smile grew making it now visible for everyone to see, making the Doe raise an eyebrow. In a split second the hooded figure closed the distance between it and one of the bucks. As soon as the Buck saw this it was to late. The hooded figure jabbed it's elbow into the Buck's chest making him spit out his sword. As soon as the Does saw their partner getting attacked the released their arrows on the hooded figure. But as soon as the arrows got close enough the hooded figure grabbed the Bucks sword and deflected the arrows. "Yaaaaaaaah." The other Buck yelled, his cry muffled by the sword in his mouth. Once the Buck closed the distance he slashed the sword at the hooded figure. Seeing the attack the hooded figure parried the attack with the other sword. The hooded figure then pushed the Buck back and then disappeared again. "Wha-" was all the Buck could mutter as a sword was jabbed through his neck. "Spurp." The Buck spit out his sword as blood began to fill in his mouth. "No!" One of the Does shrieked as she glared at the hooded figure. "You'll pay for that!" She yelled as she loaded an arrow and fired it at the hooded figures head. Only to be stopped in mid air. Just inches away from his face. "What?" The Doe asked confused. The arrow then turned around and was jabbed into the Does scull. The other Doe was about to fire another arrow but the hooded figure grabbed the Doe by the neck and held her against the wall. The Doe began to struggled in hopes of letting back in her lungs. But then felt a sharp pain in he chest. The Doe looked down to see that the hooded figure had stabbed her with one of the Bucks swords. Seeing the blood was to overwhelming for the Doe and her eyes began to close. And her struggling came to a stop. The hooded figure let go of the Does throat and let her body drop to the ground. The hooded figure then walked up to the cell door. BOOM!! The door went as it sailed across the room and hit the wall. Causing Thicket to wake up. The first thing he saw was the hooded figure. Once he saw it he sat up from his bed and faced the hooded figure. "Who are you?" Thicket asked. The hooded figure smiled at Thicket. "Who I am is not important right now. But what I'm about to say is." "....I'm listening." Thicket finally said. "I have decided to give you an invitation to my organization, do you accept?" "Why would I join this organization of yours?" Thicket questioned. "Simple, you and I both share the same goal." The hooded figure said bluntly. "Share the same goal? Ha!" Thicket said. "What makes you think you know my goal?" "Simple, you and both want to establish order to this world. And I can give that to you...all you have to do is accept." Thicket pondered on the hooded figures proposal. Placing a hoof on his jaw. "Well...your decision?" The hooded figure asked. "...I accepted." Thicket said. "Splendid." "Now how do you plan on getting me out of here without being hunted down?" Thicket asked. "Oh Thicket, first think you need to know about me." The hooded figure began. "I always plan ahead."
Chapter one ArrivalDeer and Ponies come from the dirt. They are given the gift, and are left to choose their own path. Words from the First Book. The Ponyville train speeds down the metal tracks. Meanwhile Nightwing and Fluttershy are in a car, both are reading a book to pass the time. Fluttershy is reading her religions Bible. And Nightwing is reading the book discord gave him called 'The Elements of Chaos. By Discord.' 'When Nature presented its gift to the Deer and the Ponies, the Deer took the gift and admired and treasured it forever. Where the Ponies took natures gift and turned it into something else.' Fluttershy read in her Bible. 'The Element of Nature controls all forms of plant and wood. Basically if it grows form the ground, the Element of Nature can control it.' Nightwing read in his book. 'The Element of Nature can also communicate with certain creatures as well, because they came from the ground such as every living thing did. Or that's what the Deer believe anyways.' "Anypony going to Whitetail forest, all depart!" The conductor said. Nightwing and Fluttershy put their books in their saddle bags and walked towards the door on the chair. When the door opened it revealed...a ton of dirt. "This isn't Whitetail forest." Nightwing told the conductor. "Sorry but this is as far as the train can go." The conductor said. "Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you Nightwing. Deer don't like ponies inventions." Fluttershy said while hiding her face in her mane. "Of course they do." Nightwing sighed as he and Fluttershy got off the train. The train then rolled away as Nightwing and Dluttershy began walking. "You do know where we're going right?" Nightwing asked Fluttershy. "Of course, Whitetail forest is just south of here, we'll be there in a couple of minutes." Fluttershy said as she began to walk south, and Nightwing began to follow her. "Hey Nightwing, can I ask you a question?" "Of course." "Why did you really come here? I mean to Whitetail forest?" Fluttershy asked. "Well one, I wanted to come and study your religion because there Arn't that many books in Equestria on Deer religion. And two, if I didn't supervise you I'd never hear the end of it from Flash and Lightning strike." Nightwing answered. "Speaking of my two brothers, how are they doing?" "Both are in a comma, how you doing?" "Oh I wish I knew why they were in a comma, but no pony knows. Do you know Nightwing?" "I wish, but I don't remember what caused them to be in a comma state." "Oh, well thanks for answering honestly." "No problem." "We're here." Nightwing looked away from Fluttershy to see they were in front of a very large forest. Trees of all variety were in front of them. "This is Whitetail forest?" Nightwing asked. "Yes, or at least the entrance anyways." Fluttershy said as she walked into the forest. Nightwing soon followed behind her. "Now are you sure we're supposed to be going through the forest this way?" Nightwing asked as he cautiously looked at the trees. "Yes I'm sure, I have been here before remember?" Fluttershy responded. "Yeah I know you've been here I'm just worried that something may come out of nowhere and jump us." "Oh don't be ridiculous Nightwing." Fluttershy assured Nightwing. "There are no dangerous creatures in Whitetail forest." "Fluttershy stop." Nightwing said as he and Fluttershy came to a halt. "Yes Nightwing what is it?" Fluttershy asked as Nightwing approached her. "Something's not right." Nightwing whispered in Fluttershy's ear. "What makes you think that?" Fluttershy asked in the same whisper. "I can't put my hoof on it, but something's wrong with this forest. I can feel it." "Well I have to admit this forest does seem a bit more...intimate than usual." Fluttershy said meekly. "Fluttershy hit the dirt!" Nightwing yelled as he tackled Fluttershy. "Nightwing, I'm sorry but, what was that for!?" Fluttershy demanded. "I got you away from that." Nightwing said as he got off Fluttershy and pointed to where they once stood. There, where Fluttershy and Nightwing once stood, was a pony. But he had no fur, no mane, and no pupils. What stood in front of them was a pony figure made of what appeared to be sand. But the sand was colored black, and it's eyes were fully white and had no pupils. "What is that?" Fluttershy asked Nightwing. "Not sure, lets find out." Nightwing said as he turned towards the sand pony. "Hey who are you, and side not, what are you?" The sand pony responded by closing the distance between it and Nightwing almost instantly, with a swing of it's sand hoof it upper cut Nightwing in the jaw and made him stagger back. "Nightwing!" Fluttershy shouted. Hearing Fluttershy the sand pony then drew his attention to Fluttershy and was about to attack but was intercepted by Nightwing kicking him in the side, and sending him back a few feet. The sand pony quickly recovered by shoving his hooves into the ground, using them as brakes. "Okay, I don't know who you are. What you are. Or what your capable of. But if you want to get to her, you gotta go through me first." Nightwing said boldly as he stood in front of Fluttershy. The sand pony once again closed the distance between it and Nightwing again. Only difference was that Nightwing was ready for the sand pony. The sand pony stood on its hind legs and began throwing punch's at Nightwing. Nightwing got on his hind legs as well and began blocking the sand ponies punch's. The two kept up at this until the sand pony finally landed a punch on Nightwing and Nightwing kicked the sand pony in the chest. The two were sent back a few feet, both landed on their hooves, using them as brakes, Nightwing had some scratch marks here and there on his face, but the sand pony showed no sign of injury. "Fluttershy, I don't know how much longer I can hold this thing off. I want you to get out of here now!" Nightwing ordered. "Are you joking? This may be super scary, but I'm not leaving one of my friends behind." Fluttershy said. "In need of some assistance?" A voice came from one of the trees. Fluttershy, Nightwing, and the sand pony all looked up from where the voice came from. On one of the trees branches they saw a buck Deer with orange eyes, half grown antlers, and was wearing golden armor. Next to him was a creature, made of dark brown wood, that had the figure of a pony that had no mane and where its eyes where supposed to be were two empty sockets. "Woodslan, care to do the honors?" The deer asked. "Sure thing partner." The wood pony said. With a wave of the wood ponies hoof a bow and arrows were created from the branch. "Thanks dear friend." The deer said as he grabbed an arrow with his mouth, nock an arrow in the bows string, aimed at the sand ponies head and fired. The arrow then sank into the sand ponies head, instantly killing it. In the time that took Nightwing had just blinked. "Their good." Nightwing muttered. The deer then jumped from the branch and landed on the ground with the wood pony following him. "Hello there my name is Thorn, Thorn leaf." The deer introduced himself. "Nightwing, pleasure to meet you." Nightwing said. "Thorn?" Fluttershy repeated. "Is it really you?" Thorn looked away from Nightwing and at Fluttershy. When he saw her a smile broke out on his face and he approached her. "Fluttershy, it's so good to see you again." Thorn said. "It's good to see you too thorn." Fluttershy said, a light blush appeared on her face. "Wait...you know this deer?" Nightwing asked Fluttershy. "Yeah, he was my friend when I was in school here." "Okay, I know who you are. But who's this guy?" Nightwing asked Thorn as he turned to the wood pony. "Him, he's my partner. Woodslan." Thorn answered. "And he's a Woodscolt. I haven't seen one in a long time." Fluttershy gasped. "It's a pleasure to meet you all." Woodslan said. "Well now that formalitys are out of the way, can someone tell me what the hay that...thing was?" Nightwing asked. "Of course." Thorn began. "But first we must leave this place, it's not safe. To the trees." With that Thorn and Woodslan climbed the trees and jumped from branch to branch. While Nightwing and Fluttershy flew beside them. "So, ya gonna tell us what that thing was?" Nightwing asked Thorn. "That thing, your referring too is what we call a dark sand pony." Thorn answered. "Okay, I can see why. But what was it doing in the forest?" Fluttershy asked. "Ever since you left Fluttershy the Forest has been sick. A plague lies on the forest and those creatures are connected to it." Thorn answered. "Wait, how is the Forest sick?" Nightwing asked. "The plants, the animals, even the trees are affected by the plague." Thorn answered. "Define affected." "They are all sick, as in the animals are dying, the plants are poisoned, and the trees are withering away." "That's horrible." Fluttershy gasped as she covered her mouth with her two hooves. "Indeed, we've tried all we can to stop them, but no luck. By the way, what brings you back to Whitetail Fluttershy?" Thorn asked. "Oh, I'm here to take my test. And Nightwings here to study your religion." "Interesting, however I don't know how others will react with you ponies." "Whys that?" Nightwing asked. "In our religion, we see ponies as our...opposite. Not our enemy of course, but...different." Thorn answered. "Okay, good to know." "There it is." Thorn said as the group saw a go,den gate in the distance. The group landed in front of the gate. "Who goes there?" A voice from the top of gate asked. "Thorn leaf, Woodslan, and guests." Thorn answered. The golden door soon began to open revealing the great city of Whitetail. Inside where trees that doors at the trunk and windows in it, they were homes for the deer residence. All around the place where trees, each tree had several house parts on them. But the most unique thing of the city was a humongous tree. It was the size of a mountain it was so big, and it had several house parts in it as well. "Welcome to Whitetail city." Thorn said as he walked in. The group followed him and the gate began to close behind them. "This place is...amazing!" Nightwing said with excitement. "Thank you, we consider the great tree to be our jewel of our city." Thorn said. As the group passed the trees a thought crossed Nightwings mind. "Hey quick question Fluttershy, where are we gonna stay?" Nightwing asked. "Oh don't worry, I bet we can stay in my old house." "And where's that?" "It's right over there." Thorn pointed to a tree house. "You remembered." Fluttershy said. "How could I forget?" Thorn asked. Causing Fluttershy to blush. "Well I'll leave you to your things, goodbye old friend, and good luck on that test." "Thank you Thorn." Fluttershy said as Thron began to walk away. Meanwhile in the huge tree that no one can miss. On a balcony two deer were observing Fluttershy and Nightwing. One was a buck with dark red fur, orange eyes, and full grown antlers. Next to him was a doe deer with white fur, and blue eyes. "Are you sure about this Fallwood?" The doe asked the buck. "I'm not entirely sure Winterwood. But we are not to question Natures way." Fallwood replied. "But all throughout history it was always a deer that was the Arbor susurro. Why would Nature change its way?" Winterwood asked. "I do not know but perhaps Nature wishes us to change our way?" "Well perhaps, but what will the others think?" "We will have to wait and see." Fallwood said as he walked away from the balcony and into the tree. Winterwood soon followed behind him.
Chapter two The testWhen Nature gave the Gift to the Deer they treasured and worshiped the Gift. Where the ponies turned it into something else. Words from the first book. The suns rays shone through the window of the tree house. Indicating it was time to get up. Nightwing grumbled as he got up from his bed. He rubbed his eyes with his hooves to rid away the itch he felt. He looked around the room and remembered that he was in Whitetail city. Fluttershys house was roomy, it had three bedrooms. Each had a dresser, closet, queen size bed, lanterns, and a mirror. Nightwing walked out of his room and down the stairs. On the bottom level was the living room/kitchen/dining room. In the living room there was a couch and a bookshelf. In the kitchen was an oven, stove, and counter. In the dining room was a round table with six chairs. On the round table was a variety of foods that consisted of pancakes, strawberry's, eggs, hay bacon, and biscuits. Nightwing pulled up a chair and sat down. With a wave of hoof his magic came to life and he fixed himself a plate of eggs, hay bacon, and a biscuit with grape jelly. Nightwing levitated a fork into the eggs and took a chunk of eggs and ate them. 'Hmmm...cooking must run in the family.' Nightwing thought as he took another fork of eggs. "Do you like it?" Fluttershy asked. "It'll give Flash a run for his money that's for sure." Nightwing said. "I'm not used to cooking like my brother, but I hope you like it." "Let's not focuses on breakfast, lets focus on this test of yours. What's it about?" "It determines were my place is in my religion." "Can you say that simpler please?" "It tells me what tool I am for the forest." "Like what?" "The test will choose if I am to be a sunflower, someone that grows and manages all plant life. Or maybe a rose, someone that cares for the animals of the forest. Or maybe I'll be a leaf, someone that guards and protects all life in the forest. There are many paths I can choose." Fluttershy explained "Which one are you hoping to be?" Nightwing asked. "To be honest...I'm hoping I can be chosen as a rose, someone that cares for all life in the forest." "What time does this test start?" Nightwing asked. "In the afternoon." "Well what are we waiting for let's go get a head start, shall we?" Nightwing asked as he levitated his dish into the sink. "I guess it doesn't hurt to be early." Fluttershy said as she followed Nightwing. Soon the two were out the door and walking away from the house "Now, where are these tests taking place?" Nightwing asked. "In the great tree over there." Fluttershy pointed to the huge tree in the middle of the city. "Of course if is." Nightwing sighed as he and Fluttershy walked up to the large door in the tree. In front of the door were two deer guards who were both wearing golden armor. As Nightwing and Fluttershy got close enough to the door the guards crossed their spears together blocking the entrance. "Halt." One guard said sternly. "What is your business here?" The other said. "I am here to take my test, may I please enter?" Fluttershy asked. "Very well, what is your business bat-pony?" "You know, it's rude to address someone by their race when their right in front of you. And I'm here to supervise Fluttershy." Nightwing answered. "Very well you may enter." The guard said as he and the other opened the door. Nightwing and Fluttershy entered the room. Across from them was four doors. Above each door was an insignia. One had a flower above it, one had a leaf above it, one had a branch, and one had a drop of water. "What do you think this is Nightwing?" Fluttershy asked. "Nightwing?" Fluttershy looked all around but Nightwing was gone. So was the door that she came in. All that was in the room was the four doors. "Nightwing?! Nightwing where are you?!" Fluttershy yelled. "Nightwing...I...I'm scared, where are you? Help...please?" Fluttershy said meekly, as tears began to form in her eyes. "There's no need to be scared young one." A calm and female voice came from her mind. "Hello who's there?" Fluttershy asked. "I'm a friend who's here to help you, don't worry this is all part of the test." "Well if this is part of the test, then I must choose a door. Right?" "Yes, that is the point of the test. Choose a door to determine your path." "Okay then." Fluttershy said boldly as she approached the door with a leaf on it. "Hold on now." The voice said as Fluttershy came to a halt. "What? What is it?" "You Fluttershy have a very special gift inside of you. And I would just hate for it's potential to be wasted on one of these paths." "But these doors are my only way out." "Not entirely true. Behind you is a secret door, if you believe what I say then you will choose that door and receive a special gift or you can choose on of these four doors in front of you, the choose is yours." "A secret door? What kind of secret door?" "..." "Hello?" "..." "I guess your gone." Fluttershy said as she backed away from the four doors and looked at them. She then turned around to the wall behind her. Without a second thought Fluttershy walked towards the back wall and began to examine the wall. She lifted her hoof and pushed on the wood. She closed her eyes and pushed on the wood. Then the wood began to light up on where her hoof was. Fluttershy removed her hoof to see a door handle. She turned the handle and the wood opened up like it was a door. Inside was a blinding light. She walked towards the bright light as the door closed behind her. There was nothing. A white void of nothing. Fluttershy walked around the room in hopes to find something but there was nothing. "I see you took my advise." The voice came from behind her. And now there's something. Fluttershy turned around to see a light green Alicorn with a long green mane and violet eyes. "W-who are you?" Fluttershy asked meekly. "Hehehe." The Alicorn chuckled lightly. "My dear Fluttershy there's no need to be afraid. My name is Nature." Fluttershy gasped. "I had no idea, I'm sorry oh great God." "There's no need for that my dear I've come to give you something." "What?" "This." With a poof of her magic Nature had summoned an oval gem that was light green. She then levitated it over to Fluttershy who held it in her hoof. "What is it?" Fluttershy asked. "It is a gift, one I want you to give to a deer named Thorn." "Why? If you don't mind me asking?" "I don't, and...it's best that I don't tell you." "Okay, so what happens now?" "This." Nature said as she placed her horn on Fluttershys head. "Congratulations Fluttershy, you've passed." As a magical aura surrounded Natures horn Fluttershy disappeared. Back at the great tree. "You know, if you guys wanted me to not go inside with Fluttershy you could have just told me, you didn't need to teleport me here." Nightwing complained to one of the guards. "Anyways, Fluttershy will be coming out of one of those doors right?" Nightwing gestured to the four doors in front of them. "That is correct." The guard said. "Hey Nightwing." A voice called him out. Nightwing turned his head to see that voice belonged to Thorn who was walking up to him. "Hello again Thorn, how's it going?" Nightwing asked. "Good, so Fluttershys taking her test huh?" "Yeah, to be honest I'm kinda worried." "Don't be, Fluttershy may look a bit weak but she's a strong mare I know it-gah!" Thorn cringed as a bright flash erupted in the room. Everyone in the room all shielded their eyes away from the flash. When the light faded a collapsed Fluttershy was in front of them. "Fluttershy!" Thorn said as he and Nightwing ran up to her and helped her up. "Ngg...Th-Thorn?" Fluttershy said meekly "It's okay Fluttershy, everything is gonna be fine." "Well done Ms.Fluttershy." A voice said. The trio looked up to see four deer were in front of them. One was a buck that had orange fur, and red eyes, another was a doe with brown fur, white spots, and yellow eyes. The last two deer were deer you already know as Winterwood and Fallwood. "The high council deer." Thorn said as he bowed to the four deer. "Rise guard Thorn. We are here to congratulate Fluttershy here." The orange fur deer said. "Why?" Fluttershy asked. "Because Fluttershy, you are the first ever pony in history to be on the path you've chosen." "What path have I chosen?" "Forgive me for my lack of proper introductions. Congratulations Fluttershy, you are the first pony to have chosen the path of Arbor susurro. The Tree whisperer."
Chapter three The Tree WhispererThe great tree is the first tree to ever exist. It was planted by Nature to be a symbol of her vision. Words from the First book. "I...I'm a Arbor susurro?" Fluttershy said. "A tree whisper, and yes. You are the first ever pony to be an Arbor susurro." The orange deer said. "Okay time out, some of us don't know what an 'Arbor-what's it's name." Nightwing said. "Ah, forgive us mister. You see in ancient times the deer and ponies had risen from the dirt. Then, the one named 'Arbor susurro' came and gave us the gift of nature. Since then the Arbor susurro has always been a sacred being in all of history." "What exactly can the Arbor susurro do?" "The Arbor susurro can communicate with all forms of life, such as animals, plants, even trees." "So the Arbor susurro can talk to all forms of living beings, that's neat." "But that's not all, the Arbor susurro is the one who will become the leader of us." "A-as in a queen?" Fluttershy stammered. "Well...yes something like that." The orange deer replied. Fluttershy then held her hoof to her head and fainted. But Thorn rushed quickly to her side and supported her up. "I know that this is a lot to take in. But we cannot question Natures way, for her way is one that cannot be judged." The orange deer said. "Ms. Fluttershy wherever you lead we shall follow." Winterwood said. "We are all gracious to follow you, oh Tree whisperer." The four deer said in unison as the bowed to Fluttershy. Thorn and the guard then did the same. They all looked at Nightwing who was standing. But nature would not have chosen you unless she had a reason." The brown deer said. "I-I-I... I need a minute!" Fluttershy shouted as she ran out the door. "Great Tree whisperer, wait!" The red deer was about to go after her but was held back by Nightwing. "Let Thorn and I talk to Fluttershy, she needs some friend time." Nightwing said. "Very well if you insist." The red deer said. Thorn ran off after Fluttershy Nightwing was about to do the same but stopped at the doorway and looked back at the five deer. "Before I go, what are your names. You didn't exactly introduce yourselves." Nightwing said. "My name is Winterwood." The white deer said. "My name is Fallwood." The red deer said. "My name is Springwood." The brown deer said. "And my name is Summerwood." The orange deer said. "Names Nightwing student of Princess Luna, pleasure to meet you all." "Nightwing, come on!" Thorn shouted down the hall. "Oops, you heard the deer I gotta go. Bye." Nightwing said as he rushed out the door. Fluttershy kept running and running, it felt like her whole world just shattered into pieces only to reveal the core inside of it. Soon though Fluttershy began to run slower and slower. Slowly running out of energy. Until she finally collapsed onto the dirt road and began to cry. 'What am I gonna do?' She thought in her mind. 'Im not fit to rule, not like Twilight is, how am I gonna rule a kingdom?' Endless tears kept falling down Fluttershys face as she thought of all the horrible things that could happen to her. "Cease your crying little girl." A voice said. Fluttershy lifted her head up to see that her God, Nature, was standing in front of her. "Nature?" Fluttershy asked in a tearful voice as she got up. "Shhhhh...it is okay my dear follower, I understand what you must be going through." Nature said. "Y-y-you do?" "Yes, you see I wasn't always a God. I was chosen to be become one." Nature said as she began to remember her past. "It's pretty scary isn't it? One minute your a simple creature minding your own business in your simple life, next thing you know your chosen to make a huge difference in the world." "B-but what if I'm not ready to lead a kingdom? What if I'm not ready to lead an entire species? What if-" "Fluttershy, if you were not ready I wouldn't have chosen you." "But-but what if-" "But nothing, you will do fine. You just need a little courage." "But-" "Fluttershy do you have faith in me?" Nature asked "What?" Fluttershy asked confused "Do you have faith in me?" Nature repeated. "Of course I do, I will always have faith in you. Your our God, we will always have faith in you." "Good. Then you must trust me on this." "I...I'm still scared though." "That's good." Nature said as she put her hooves on Fluttershys shoulders. "It is?" "It is. Because with fear comes courage, you cannot have courage until you have faced fear. And to face your fear you must first have one." "..." "Fluttershy you will be the greatest Arbor susurro the world has ever seen. I know it." Nature then noticed she was holding the green gem Nature gave her. "I-I'm sorry I forgot to give it to Thorn." Fluttershy said to her God. "It's alright, take your time. Now go, their all looking for you." "I will not let you down Nature." Fluttershy said confidently as she ran off leaving Nature by herself. "I know your there." Nature said. Almost alone. "Come now my dear I can observe can't I?" A voice asked. Out of nowhere a familiar pony was beside Nature. "What do you want Messenger?" Nature asked. "I came to see how you were doing, to make sure my Masters plan goes well." Messenger said. "I don't like this plan that Storyteller has, it doesn't feel right." "Tsk-tsk. Oh dear Aranyani you seem to forget what it's like to experience Chaos and death." "It's not...well alright maybe it is that, it just doesn't feel...right." "My dear, you know that you don't have a choice. Or do you wish to defy Storyteller? The being who sculpted Cosmos and Galaxia?" "But he sculpted them to ensure peace and harmony on the world." "And then he realized that it is impossible to obtain peace that way. The only way to peace is through many ways. But harmony isn't one of them." "So that's Storytellers plan? Peace? Nature growled. "Are you sure, because I believe it does." Messenger said. "Well it's been fun chatting with you, but I must get back to watching the Story." Messenger said as he disappeared. Then suddenly reappeared in front of Nature. "Oh, before I go I must ask." Messenger said as he flew up to eye level with Nature. "Did Thorn receive the Element of Chaos?" "Not yet, but Fluttershy will deliver it to him. I know it." Nature replied. "If you say so." Messenger shrugged and disappeared. "We've searched all over Whitetail city and can't find Fluttershy anywhere." Nightwing said to Thorn. "I'll inform the guard to join in the search for her." Thorn said. "Don't bother." Nightwing said. "What? Why?" "She's right there." Nightwing pointed to Fluttershy, who was a couple of feet away from them with her back facing them. "Fluttershy!" Thorn yelled and ran towards her with Nightwing following him. "Thorn?" Fluttershy asked as she turned around to see Thorn and Nightwing rushing towards her. "Oh it is you Thorn." "Fluttershy, where were you we've been looking all over the city trying to find you." Thorn said with worry in her voice. "Really?" Fluttershy said dreamy. Then realized what came out of her mouth and quickly corrected herself. "I mean...really?" "Yes really, however on the plus side I can cancel my afternoon jog." Nightwing said. "I'm sorry I made you all run around the city trying to find me, I shouldn't have ran off." Fluttershy said apologetically. "There's nothing to be sorry for." Thorn assured her. "What?" Both Fluttershy and Nightwing asked at the same time. "You were put in a difficult position. Anyone, pony or deer, would have done the same thing if they were in your shoes." "Th-thanks Thorn." Fluttershy said, a light blush began to form on her cheeks. "But if you don't want to be Arbor susurro then you tell the Council that, they will understand." "But that's just it, I do want to do this." "You do?!" Nightwing said in shock. "Are you sure?" Thorn asked. "Yes, I'm sure. Let's go to the council and tell them I've made my decision." "Alright if you say so." Thorn said. The three began to walk towards the Great tree. "Thorn there's something I want to give you." Fluttershy said. "Yeah? What's that?" Thorn asked. "This." Fluttershy said as she revealed the Gem. Nightwing recognized it immediately. "Where did you get that?" Nightwing asked. "Would you believe me if I told you I got it from Nature?" Fluttershy asked. "Uhhh...I guess?" "Thank you Fluttershy." Thorn said as he took the gem. "I'll always hold onto it." Thorn held it up to examine the gem. It then began go vibrate in his hoof and then became attached Thorns armor chest plate. "What the?" Thorn said puzzled. He tried to pull the gem off his chest plate but it wouldn't budge. "Well you definitely won't loose it now." Nightwing said causing the three to give off a light chuckle. Some time later. Nightwing, Thorn, and Fluttershy were all outside the door to the council's room. "Are you sure you want to do this Fluttershy?" Nightwing asked. "Because once you do this...there's no going back." *sigh*"I know. But like I said before Nightwing, I've made up my mind." Fluttershy said. "Then I will not hold you for your actions." Nightwing said. "Neither will I." Thorn said. "Thank you both. Thank you for staying by my side." Fluttershy said as tears began to swell in her eyes. She then felt a hoof on her shoulder. She turned around to see that the hoof belonged to Thorn. "We'll always be beside you, because your our friend." Thorn said. With that Fluttershy looked back at the door and exhaled her held breath as she opened the door. Inside was a room with windows that were perfectly aligned on the sides. At the end of the room were two large thrones on top of a small staircase. One was made of flowers of all kinds on the back and legs of the chair, and the throne had rose red cousins on the front of the chair and the seat. Next to the flower throne was a throne with leaves instead of flowers, as well as red cousins like the flower throne. At the bottom of the staircase was Winterwood, Springwood, Summerwood, and Fallwood. "Hello again Ms.Fluttershy, how may we help you?" Winterwood asked. "First, I would really appreciate it if you called me Fluttershy, nothing more nothing less...if you don't mind?" Fluttershy asked. "Of course not Ms-I mean Fluttershy." Summerwood said. "Thank you, and second. I have decided that I will accept my place as Arbor susurro, the Tree whisperer." "Splendid. Now we must begin the ceremony." Springwood said. The deer asked Fluttershy to step forward towards them, the deer then made a small circle around her and then began to speak. "Fluttershy, do you accept the responsibility of being Arbor susurro?" Summerwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "To be our shield and protect all living things, even if it means endangering your own life?" Fallwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "To serve as a light of hope when the becomes enclosed in darkness?" Winterwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "To be our leader and guide us to our fates?" Springwood asked. "Yes." Fluttershy answered. "Speak of who you are Fluttershy, say the words that define your place!" All four deer shouted at once. "I am the spade wielded by Nature, I am a tool used to shape the world in natures image, And I am the one who will protect all things living." Fluttershy said as her eyes began to glow white and her wings began to hover her in the air. "I am Fluttershy, The Tree Whisperer!"
Chapter four The Arbor susurro is revealed.The Arbor susurro has three forms. The Spade of Nature, The Water of Nature, and the Scythe of Nature. Words from the first book. Soon the white glow in Fluttershys eyes began to fade away and she began to slowly sail to the ground. She groaned as she held her hoof up to her head hoping to stop the pounding noise in her head. She then looked up to see that the four deer smiling warmly at her. "Why are you all smiling?" Fluttershy asked. "Becuase my dear, you are now officially the Arbor susurro." Fallwood said. "Tell us, how does it feel?" "Like hundreds of bells are going off inside my head." Fluttershy groaned. "You'll get used to it, now we must get you ready for your appearance." Winterwood said. "Appearance?" Fluttershy repeated. "Yes appearance, when you present yourself to all the deer in Whitetail and show them that you are the Arbor susurro." Springwood explained. "Oh." Fluttershy said her pupils dialing down in fear. "Something the matter?" Winterwood asked. "I...kinda...have...stage fright." Fluttershy said while rubbing the back of her head with her hoof. "Fluttershy I know you might be scared." Thorn said as he placed his hoof on her shoulder. "But you can do this." "Hey deer council, is it alright that we stick near Fluttershy when she makes her appearance?" Nightwing asked. "If it will help her out, then I will not stop you." "Wonderful, now Fluttershy you get changed into something decent for your appearance while Thorn and I get changed as well." "O-okay." Fluttershy mumbled as she followed Springwood and Winterwood into another room. "Come on Thorn let's go get us something nice to wear." Nightwing said, nudging Thorn to follow him. "Okay." Thorn replied. "Are you nervous Fluttershy?" Winterwood asked as deer designers took measurements of her body. "Well...a little to honest." Fluttershy said. "May I ask why?" "Well a lot of it has to do with me becoming Arbor susurro." "Don't worry about that, you'll do fine I know it." "You sound a lot like Nature." "Wait you saw Nature? You saw our Goddess?!" Winterwood asked "Well...um...y-yes?" "What did she look like?! Was she a golden deer like the First book described?! Was she a beautiful doe like we all thought?! You have to tell me!" Winterwood yelled as she got right up in FLuttershys face. "Um...y-y-your a bit to close." Fluttershy said meekly. "Oh. Sorry got a little carried away there, Also I can't know of what Nature looks like. For her vision must be the only thing we see." "To be honest she looked a lot different than what the First book described." "Ah! No, no, no, I did not just hear that! Lalalalala!" Winterwood yelled as she covered her ears with her hoof. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to tell." Fluttershy said quickly. "Ignore my sister, lets get back to the question at hoof?" Springwood said. "Why are you are nervous? Anydeer would be thrilled to be Arbor susurro. So why are you?" "Well...it's...it's because I'm not a deer. I'm a pony. And what if the Deer don't accept me as their Arbor susurro? What if they all hate me? What if they all will throw me out of Whitetail and forbid me from their religion? What if-" Fluttershy began to ramble but was cut off by Springwood putting a hoof in front of her mouth and shushed her. "Nonsense, true there will be some that will not agree with you being Arbor susurro. But they will adjust in time. For it is Natures decision. And we cannot question her judgement." "Your right I need to be brave." Fluttershy said as she raised her right hoof in the air. "Miss Fluttershy, please put your hoof down so we can put on the dress." A designer said. "Oops. Sorry." "My sister is right Fluttershy, you mustn't let fear overcome you, if it does you will not be able to be Arbor susurro." Winterwood said. "Thank you. Thank you both." "All done Miss." A designer said as she put a large mirror in front of her so she could see the dress. "Oh...my...goodness." Fluttershy said in awe. Meanwhile in the hallway Nightwing and Thorn were waiting outside the balcony door for Fluttershy. "I can't believe you deer actually have pony armor." Nightwing said as he admired the golden armor he was wearing. "Our armor comes from you ponies, we just melt it down and shape it for us deer so we can wear it." Thorn said. "I can see why you'd want pony armor, what with the material being enchanted. But what do we get out of it?" "We give you some of our valuable items, such as seeds, fruit, and cloth." "Yeah I guess that makes sense." "Um...hi guys." A shy voice said. Nightwing and Thorn turned around to see Fluttershy was wearing a light green dress that covered her body, a long faded white cape that was attached to the neck of the dress, and a ring crown with white flowers what on her head. Her mane and tail were well brushed and she was wearing shoes made of leaves on her hooves. "Woah." Both Nightwing and Thorn said in unison which caused Fluttershy to blush a little. "I look silly don't I?" Fluttershy asked. "Well that depends, do you want my opinion? Or Thorns?" Nightwing asked. "Um...both?" "Very well I'll go first. Fluttershy...you look a little silly in that dress." "What about you Thorn?" "You look amazing." Thorn said. "Thanks." Fluttershy said with a slight blush. "Okay we have gathered all the deer, there outside. Is Fluttershy ready?" Fallwood asked as he entered the room. "I see that she is." Fallwood said once she saw Fluttershy. "You ready to make your appearance?" Nightwing asked. "Yes, I am." Fluttershy answered. "Well what are we waiting for lets go." Nightwing said as he opened the door. But then, just as Nightwing had opened the door, everything froze in it's place. It was as if time itself had stopped. "What?" Fluttershy questioned as she looked around. "Hello again Fluttershy." A familiar voice said. Fluttershy turned around to see that the voice belonged to her Goddess, Nature. "Nature! It's so good to see you again." Fluttershy said with excitement. "It is good to see you to my dear Tree whisperer." Nature said. "Are you the reason that time has stopped?" "No, a friend of mine is doing that. I came to see how you are doing and I wanted to see you at your appearance." "Nature...I don't know if I can do this." "Why ever not? You just said that you were thrilled to be Arbor susurro. Why are afraid again?" "Because...because I'm worried that I'll never see my friends again." "Why do you think that?" "It's just that if I'm Arbor susurro, that means that I have to stay here and rule Whitetail. And if I'm so busy doing that then I'll never see my friends again." Fluttershy said as her head dropped and tears began to swell in her eyes. "Fluttershy listen." Nature said as she lifted Fluttershys head with her hoof. "It is true that you won't see your friends that much, but that doesn't mean your friendship will end." "But what if I don't see them again?" "Trust me Fluttershy, I know that your friendship will not end. In fact, when this is all over it will be stronger than ever." "What do you mean, when this is over?" "When the deer accept you as Arbor susurro of course." "Thank you nature. You truly are a wise Goddess." "Thank you. Now go out there and show them that you Arbor susurro." As time began to flow again Nature looked down at the ground with a sad look on her face. 'If only I could tell you.' Nature thought as she disappeared. Meanwhile outside the great tree Summerwood was in front of the doorway with a large crowd of deer in front of him. Summerwood cleared his th "Buck's and doe's!" Summerwood shouted to the large group of deer that were in front of the great tree. "It is with great pleasure that I inform you that our Goddess Nature has chosen an Arbor susurro!" The crowd of deer stomped the ground with their hooves giving off a clapping sound. Each clap that the deer made was fueled with their excitement. Their claps continued until Summerwood raised his right hoof, signaling that the clapping be ceased. "Now I'm sure you all want to see her right?" Summerwood asked. The whole crowd yelled a yes in response. "Well I guess we have our answer. Come on out now." The doors opened and Nightwing, Thorn, and Fluttershy walked out of the door. "Deer. Meet your Arbor susurro." Summerwood said. The whole crowd went dead silent each had a look of shock and disbelief on their faces. It was is the crowd thought, 'this is our Arbor susurro? The one who is our savior?' Fluttershy's head dropped in shame. Her greatest fear came true, she wasn't accepted by the deer. "Excuse me?" A young a high voice asked. Fluttershy lifted her head up to see a young fawn with tiny antler nubs on his head. "Are you the Arbor susurro?" The young fawn asked. "Y-yes." Fluttershy mumbled. "Why are you a pony?" "Because I was born a pony." "No, I mean why did nature choose you to be Arbor susurro?" "I...I don't know actually, she didn't tell me." "Well if Nature chose you to be Arbor susurro, then does that mean that you will protect us no matter the cost?" "Of course I would." "One last thing, I have a gift for you." The fawn said as held out his hoof. Fluttershy looked to see the fawn was holding a seed. "Can you plant this and make it bloom?" "I-I can try." Fluttershy said as she took the seed from the fawn and dug a small hole with her hoof. She then planted the seed in the ground and buried it in the dirt. Then she closed her eyes and waited for something to happen. She then heard gasps come from in front of her. She opened her eyes to see that where she had planted the seed was now a flower with green and pink pedals. She looked to the fawn to see he was bowing. She looked to the crowd to see they were doing the same. "All hail the Arbor susurro." The fawn said. "All hail the water of Nature." "All hail the Tree whisperer." The crowd said in unison. "May she guide us on the path of life." "Amen." They all said. (Minus Nightwing.) Fluttershy looked down at the colt. Millions of thoughts ran through her brain as she thought of what to say what to do. Then she knew. "Rise my dear followers." Fluttershy said. The deer complied and rose from their bows. "I hope that I can be a good Arbor susurro and lead you all on the path of life." Fluttershy said and then looked down at the fawn. "And thank you, young fawn, for believing in me." "No problem Arbor susurro, I'm happy that you are leading us on the path of life." The fawn said. "I will admit it'll take some time to get used to a pony being the Arbor susurro." "I can work with that." "Alright everydeer it's time for us all to leave the Arbor susurro alone, she has much to do." Summerwood said. The crowd began to disperse and Fluttershy, Thorn, Nightwing, and Summerwood all headed back to the Great tree. Unknown that someone was scowling at them. "Unbelievable." A buck deer, with brown fur, one full grown antler instead of two, and blue eyes said. "What's unbelievable general Thicket?" A buck deer with brown fur, full grown antlers, and brown eyes asked. "What's unbelievable is that 'pony'." Thicket said, putting venom on the word pony. "Thinks she's the Arbor susurro." "But you saw the flower bloom, it shows that she is the Arbor susurro." "Did you see the bat-pony that was with the Pegasus?" "Yeah, so?" "Then you should have sensed that he is a Shadow knight, creatures that can control lunar magic." "So?" "So, the bat-pony could have used his magic to make the flower bloom." "Well as convincing as that sounds, what about the color of the pedals?" "He could have used a color change spell as soon as the flower was going to bloom." "By Nature...your right. But why would the ponies want to be the Arbor susurro?" "To deceive us. Ever since Nature created the deer and ponies from dirt we have always been enemy's. Now one of them is posing as our savior and is trying to deceive us. We cannot let this stand!" "What are your orders Commander Thicket?" "We must gain more deer that will follow our cause. We will need them to attack those that will defy our cause." "Yes sir, I shall gather as many as I can." With that the deer soldier ran off to begin his mission. Leaving Thicket alone in his office. Thicket closed his eyes and began to say a prayer. "Hail Nature, the protector and Light in our darkest days." Thicket said as he began his prayer. "Nature I call upon you to give me one of your gifts. Give me the gift of strength. Let me have the strength to destroy my enemy and restore order to our way." Thicket then looked up at the wood ceiling above him as he finished his prayer. "Let me by your scythe, so that I may cut down the weed that will plague your garden."
Chapter five you raise me up.Water, dirt, air. The seeds of life rely on these so the can bloom. Words from the First book. Nightwing, Thorn, and Fluttershy all walked along the wood hallway in search of the throne room. Meanwhile Fluttershy had never felt more relieved in her life. The deer accepted her. Well most of them accepted her. But they still accepted her as Arbor susurro. "Are you okay Fluttershy?" Thorn asked. "You look kinda...dazed." "Huh...oh, I'm fine Thorn I'm just happy that the deer accepted me as the Arbor susurro." Fluttershy smiled. "That's all." "Well if you say so." Nightwing said. "So...how does it feel to rule a kingdom?" "A bit overwhelming I must admit. I wish my friends were here to help." Fluttershy said sadly. "Your friends are here to help." Nightwing said. "Thorn and I, we helped you become the Arbor susurro remember?" "That's right. See you aren't alone." Thorn said. "I'm so glad that I have such good friends." Fluttershy said. "Why do I feel like a song is coming on?" Nightwing asked. Just as Nightwing said that Fluttershy began to sing. "When I am down and, oh, my soul, so weary." Fluttershy sang. "When troubles come and my heart burdened be." "Then I am still and wait here in the silence." Thorn sang. "Until you come and sit awhile with me." "You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains." "If you two want some alone time I can leave." Nightwing offered. Thorn and Fluttershy looked back at one another and realized their muzzles were inches away from each other. Both blushed madly as they pushed away from one another. "We better get to the Throne room." Thorn said quickly. "Yeah, we should." Fluttershy said as well as she began to walk away. Nightwing ran next to Thorn and whispered into his ear, "Missed your chance, buddy." With that Nightwing walked away with Thorn following behind them. 'Are muzzles were so close.' Fluttershy thought as she began to walk faster. 'It was almost like he was going to kiss me.' "Um Fluttershy?" Nightwing asked. "Huh?" "You passed the Throne room." Nightwing pointed out. "Oh. Oops." Fluttershy said as she turned around and walked back to Nightwing. "Are you two sure you don't want some alone time?" Nightwing asked Thorn and Fluttershy. "Yes!" Thorn and Fluttershy said quickly. "Okay then, let's begin this meeting." Nightwing said as he opened the door. Inside the council was talking about something. But as the doors opened they all went silent and bowed. "Ah Fluttershy your here." Winterwood said. "Now we can begin the meeting." Fallwood said. "Alright." Fluttershy said as she walked towards the two thrones and sat on the leaf one. "Um...Fluttershy. Your throne is the other one." Springwood pointed out. "Oh, sorry." Fluttershy blushed lightly as she got up from the leaf throne and sat on the flower throne. "Now then, what's this meeting all about huh?" Nightwing asked the deer council. "It's about the recent attacks in the forest." Springwood said bluntly. "You mean the sand ponies?" "Yes those. We have tried our best to rid the forest of the plague but we haven't been able too." "Well I guess I can understand that. But the major question is, why are they in Whitetail?" Nightwing asked. "Why Whitetail? Why attack the golden jewel of all deer?" "Some believe that they are demons that have come to destroy natures garden." Fallwood suggested. "Possible." Nightwing said. "Maybe there's a rich resources that we don't know about and they do?" Springwood suggested. "Not likely" Nightwing said. "Could it be that they wish to be friends with us but can't say it?" Fluttershy suggested. "Never." Nightwing said as he threw his hooves in the air. "Gah! This is so frustrating! What is it that makes Whitetail the most special?!" "Well, Whitetail is called the deers jewel because of it's trees." Thorn said. "Wait...that's it!" Nightwing yelled. "What's it?" Winterwood asked. "What the sand ponies are after. It's so obvious!" "And just what is so obvious?" Fallwood asked. "It's the trees! The sand ponies are after the trees!" "But...if they are after the trees why are they unaffected?" Summerwood asked. "Because ever since I've got here I've had a weird vibe coming off this place, and when I came into the Great tree the vibe got stronger." "But what does that have to do with the trees and the sand ponies?" Springwood asked. "Simple. The sand ponies are draining magic from the trees." "Magic...in the trees?" Fallwood said. "Yes, it must all be connected to the great tree." "But even if the sand ponies are draining magic from the trees, why would they do that?" Fluttershy asked. "Fluttershy's right, we know what the sand ponies are after, but we don't know why." Nightwing pondered. "Perhaps-" Summerwood was about to say something but the doors to the room burst open, cutting Summerwood off. All eyes stared at a deer guard who looked like he had just ran a ton of miles. "Coun...cil...Thicket...riot...need...help." The guard wheezed. "Easy there buddy, what are you talking about?" Thorn asked. "Sorry...it's Thicket. He's gathered a large group of deer and their demanding the Arbor susurro." "Why would commander Thicket demand such a thing?" Summerwood asked. "I don't know, but he has half of the guard and a large amount of the deer with him." "I'll go and see what this is all about. You guys stay put." Thorn said as he ran off with the guard behind him. Thorn and the guard kept running down the hall until the came to the doorway to the Great tree. He opened the door to meet the large group of deer that consider of guards and deer citizens. All had angry looks on their faces. In front of the group was Thicket himself. "Thicket what is the meaning of this?" Thorn asked. "Where is the pony?" Thicket demanded. "That is none of your concern. Now tell me what is going on?" "I'll tell you what's going on. Where restoring the order, that's what Thorn." "Thicket is the true Arbor susurro not that pony!" A deer shouted. "Bring her out so that she may have justice for her crimes!" Another shouted. "All of you, you dare defy Natures way?! You dare defy the third code of law?!" "This is not Natures way." Thicket spat. "This is trickery." "Yeah!" A deer shouted. "How is this trickery? Tell me why you think Fluttershy is not fit to be Arbor susurro?" Thorn demanded. "I'll tell you why. It's because she's a pony! Ever since the creation of Deer and Pony we have always been opposites. Why don't you see that Thorn?!" Thicket growled. "Because she's a pony that means she cannot lead us?" "No. It means she will lead us off the path of life! She will cast darkness on us! They cannot be trusted!" "I've heard enough of this." Thorn said as he and the guard turned around and walked back into the door shutting it tight behind them and locking it. "Forgive me Nature." Thicket whispered. "Alright they have decided to be our enemy. Break down the door!" All the deer turned to Thicket with shocked expressions on their faces. "Did I stutter?" Thicket asked. "N-no Thicket...it's just that...your asking us to defile on of Natures most treasured gifts." A guard said. "And if we don't break down that door how many more of Natures gifts will that pony destroy?" Thicket asked. "Break down the door." "Thickets doing what?!" Summerwood shouted. "He has a large group of deer with him and he intends to harm Fluttershy." Thorn stated. "Why would he do such a thing?" Fluttershy asked. "He thinks you are not fit to be Arbor susurro." Thorn stated. "I always figured Thicket was a bit...offended that a pony became Arbor susurro. But to go this far." "Thorn. Please tell me that we have enough troops to fend them off?" Nightwing asked Thorn." "I'm afraid not. We're outnumbered three to one." Thorn said. "I have an idea, can you guys hold them off while I go get help." Nightwing suggested. "Nightwing I can't ask you to do that. I'll go, if I leave then Thicket won't endanger the deer here." Fluttershy said. "Not a wise idea. Their here for you remember, the second one of them spots you in the sky they'll shoot you down with a bow and arrow. And the council can't go because there wouldn't be enough time." Nightwing stated. "But what's stopping them from shooting you down?" "I have magic remember, I'll just turn invisible so they won't spot me." "Be safe dear friend." Thorn said. "I will, don't worry about me. Worry about protecting Fluttershy." Nightwing said. "I'll be back with help." With that Nightwing ran off turned himself invisible and flew out one of the windows. In the town of Ponyville a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane and violet eyes flew above the pink mare known as Pinkie. "So Dashie what do you want to do today as a prank?" Pinkie asked. "I kinda thought we should take all of Twilights books and hide them somewhere?" Rainbow dash suggested. "That sounds kinda funny-" Pinkie cut herself off as she looked behind her to see that her tail was twitching uncontrollably. "TWICHY TAIL!!" Pinkie yelled at the top of her lungs. The second she said that a fast grey blur came crashing down on the dirt. "Owwwwww." A voice groaned. "Oh, hey Nightwing." Pinkie greeted. "Why did you crash land?" "No time to explain. Get Everyone that could be helpful and bring them to my house!" Nightwing yelled as he grabbed Pinkie by the shoulders. "What? Why?" The pink mare asked dumbfound. "Fluttershys in trouble!" "Say no more Nightwing." Rainbow dash said as she zoomed off. "Pinkie, are Flash and Lightning strike out of the hospital?" Nightwing asked. "Yep yep they checked out two days ago. I know because I threw them a welcome-back-from-dreamland party." "Of course you did." Nightwing said as he let go of Pinkie and trotted towards his house. Once everyone was gathered (Flash, Lightning strike, Sunset shimmer, Comet tail, Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow dash, Spike, a white unicorn mare with a dark purple mane and blue eyes name rarity, and a light orange earth pony mare with a blond mane, light freckles on her face, and green eyes, and she wore a cowgirl hat. Her name was Applejack.) Once everypony was there Nightwing explained what was going on in Whitetail. "Oh dear." Rarity said as she covered her mouth with her hoof. "That jerk Thicket, when I see him I'm gonna tear him a new one." Rainbow dash said as she put her two hooves together. "Easy Rainbow, we need to help Fluttershy. Not make things worse." Twilight said. "Well it won't matter if we're all just sitting around doing nothing. Nightwing can you take us to Whitetail?" Flash asked. "Okay, but we'll have to use Twilights personal train." Nightwing said "I have my own personal train?" Twilight asked. "You never used it." With that Twilights train arrived and they all boarded it. The train then began to move towards Whitetail. All had determination to help their friend.
Chapter six the final chapter.Chapter six the final chapter abridged Twilights private train arrives to find that Whitetail forest was destroyed by the sand ponies because they overran the deer in their time of conflict. Because of this Whitetail forest was no more. However in their time of grief Fluttershy found a seed where the great tree used to be. Nature then appears to tell Fluttershy that she knew that sand ponies would destroy Whitetail forest, and that she needed someone who wasn't a deer to lead them to a better life. That is why she chose Fluttershy to be the Arbor susurro. Because the deer were so devoted to thinking that the ponies were their opposite they would not seek help from them. But if a pony was the Arbor susurro, they would seek help and unite the deer and ponies. Because even though the deer believe that pony and deer are completely different they are wrong. So the made a new bible, one that they wright about the true way for peace and harmony to exist. It is called 'The Path To Peace.' As for Thicket, he is serving his crime in a cell in Canterlot. And that is the end of the book. Not! In a long and narrow hallway with a red carpet on the floor lanterns hanging on each side of the wall lighting the way for others, Clutterstep was race walking towards a large set of double old fashion wooden doors. Clutterstep burst through them and entered the room the doors had hid. Inside was a room with only a couple of steps at the end of the room and a large dark throne on the top of it. As Clutterstep walked towards the throne a dark figure gazed at him as he moved. As soon as Clutterstep got to the first step he kneeled before the throne. "Forgive me master." Clutterstep began. "I somehow failed to kill the four ponies you sent me to kill." Clutterstep said. "Don't fret your pretty little head dear." A new voice said. One of a mare. "I'll forgive you." Clutterstep jerked his head up towards the throne."You?!" Clutterstep growled. "Where is the Master?!" Clutterstep demanded. "He's out getting a new member." The mare said bluntly. "Oh, and I'm here to tell you something very important." "What's that?" Clutterstep growled "To pack your things of course. We're leaving this place because Nightwing and his little friends will no doubt be snooping around the Everfree forest trying to find us." The Mare grinned. "Now who's fault could that be, I wonder?" Clutterstep growled as his hair and fur began to stand on end. "Ah, ah, ah." The mare said as she poked Clutterstep on the muzzle, making him calm down. "You know the masters rules." "Very well. But I'm only doing this because the Master said it. Not you." "Whatever makes you sleep at night dear." The voice said as Clutterstep stormed off out the large doors. 'A new member? Who could that be?' Clutterstep thought as he walked through the hallway. In the Canterlot dungeons. Thickets cell was anything special. It had everything you'd expect a jail cell to have. Hard stone bed, a sink, and of course a bared door and window. Standing in front of the cell were four deer guards. Two Does, and two Bucks. All four wore green light armor that covered their back, stomach, and neck. On their hooves were leaf like shoes made for speed. On top of their heads were custom green helmets that covered the left, right, and back of her head, leaving a large opening in the front. On the left side of both bucks was a long sword with a light green hilt. Both swords were sheathed in a scabbard. The Does both had a wooden bow on their back along with a brown quiver full of steel tipped arrows with green feathers on the back of them. All seemed calm in the area until in the blink of an eye a hooded figure appeared out of nowhere a couple of feet across from the four guards. The four guards were startled when the hooded figure appeared but they soon got their back and prepared for battle. The Does equipped their bows and loaded an arrow in the bow and pulled the string back and aimed at the hooded figure in record time. The Bucks clenched their swords with their mouths as they drew their swords from their scabbards. Revealing the steel swords. The hooded figure only grinned at the guards. All went silent until a Doe broke the silence. "This is a restricted area, identify yourself immediately." The Doe demanded The hooded figure smile grew making it now visible for everyone to see, making the Doe raise an eyebrow. In a split second the hooded figure closed the distance between it and one of the bucks. As soon as the Buck saw this it was to late. The hooded figure jabbed it's elbow into the Buck's chest making him spit out his sword. As soon as the Does saw their partner getting attacked the released their arrows on the hooded figure. But as soon as the arrows got close enough the hooded figure grabbed the Bucks sword and deflected the arrows. "Yaaaaaaaah." The other Buck yelled, his cry muffled by the sword in his mouth. Once the Buck closed the distance he slashed the sword at the hooded figure. Seeing the attack the hooded figure parried the attack with the other sword. The hooded figure then pushed the Buck back and then disappeared again. "Wha-" was all the Buck could mutter as a sword was jabbed through his neck. "Spurp." The Buck spit out his sword as blood began to fill in his mouth. "No!" One of the Does shrieked as she glared at the hooded figure. "You'll pay for that!" She yelled as she loaded an arrow and fired it at the hooded figures head. Only to be stopped in mid air. Just inches away from his face. "What?" The Doe asked confused. The arrow then turned around and was jabbed into the Does scull. The other Doe was about to fire another arrow but the hooded figure grabbed the Doe by the neck and held her against the wall. The Doe began to struggled in hopes of letting back in her lungs. But then felt a sharp pain in he chest. The Doe looked down to see that the hooded figure had stabbed her with one of the Bucks swords. Seeing the blood was to overwhelming for the Doe and her eyes began to close. And her struggling came to a stop. The hooded figure let go of the Does throat and let her body drop to the ground. The hooded figure then walked up to the cell door. BOOM!! The door went as it sailed across the room and hit the wall. Causing Thicket to wake up. The first thing he saw was the hooded figure. Once he saw it he sat up from his bed and faced the hooded figure. "Who are you?" Thicket asked. The hooded figure smiled at Thicket. "Who I am is not important right now. But what I'm about to say is." "....I'm listening." Thicket finally said. "I have decided to give you an invitation to my organization, do you accept?" "Why would I join this organization of yours?" Thicket questioned. "Simple, you and I both share the same goal." The hooded figure said bluntly. "Share the same goal? Ha!" Thicket said. "What makes you think you know my goal?" "Simple, you and both want to establish order to this world. And I can give that to you...all you have to do is accept." Thicket pondered on the hooded figures proposal. Placing a hoof on his jaw. "Well...your decision?" The hooded figure asked. "...I accepted." Thicket said. "Splendid." "Now how do you plan on getting me out of here without being hunted down?" Thicket asked. "Oh Thicket, first think you need to know about me." The hooded figure began. "I always plan ahead."
