Opposites Attract

Fluttershy unpacked the last box and stopped to admire her new home. Every since she had earned her cutie mark, she had been saving up every bit she could get her hooves on to buy a house in Ponyville. Her best friend Rainbow Dash had told her that some of the friendliest ponies lived there...and she hoped that she was right. The bullies in Cloudsdale had caused the young Pegasus so much grief and all she wanted was a kinder place to live.

Ok, Fluttershy. Just go and introduce yourself to some of the ponies. Everything is going to OK now.

Before she left her new cottage, the yellow Pegasus stopped to look at herself in the mirror. She was quite tall for a pony, with small wings that couldn't lift her off the ground very well. She had a long, pink mane that fell over one of her large turquoise eyes slightly. Everypony who she knew gave her compliments on her looks, but no matter how hard Fluttershy looked, she couldn't see the pretty mare everyone was describing.
