"Rarity! You in there? I need to talk to you!" Twilight hollered outside knocking on her door. Her brown fist hit her friend's front door over and over again hoping for an answer. It was odd to her. Rarity spent a good portion of her day at home, whether she was relaxing or working on new dresses and fabrics. Twilight would have had to ask around Ponyville if she wasn't at home, and she hated having to work around her already full schedule.
After about a minute of no activity from the other side, Twilight looked down at the ground in disappointment, before walking to the left, hoping maybe Rarity was overlooking something in the distance on her balcony and just hadn't heard her. She began to walk past, and then a voice did come up through open balcony doors. "It's open, darling! Come on in!" Well at least she knew someone was home after all. Twilight smiled walking in.
Twilight found herself wondering around a little it inside, as Rarity wasn't at the front door to greet her. It was the usual sight for Rarity's boutique: Dresses on stands and the finest decorations for her windows, display stands, and anything else she found she could accessorize. Twilight turned around and looked at everything once more as she walked backwards for a few seconds, before whipping her purple and pink streaked hair as she turned around to the staircase towards Rarity's bedroom. Before her other hand could even reach the door for a knock, a voice beckoned Twilight from behind it. "It's open, Twilight!" "Thank you for stopping by, Twilight. I was beginning to think nobody would be stopping by to visit me on this wonderful day." Rarity greeted, holding the glass in her hand and shooting a happy look at her friend.
"Um, no problem Rarity!" Twilight said with a bit of a stutter in her voice, faking an enthusiastic smile when in reality she was a bit taken aback at just how pampered and comfy Rarity looked. She wasn't even lying underneath her bed's covers and was bathing in the plush softness around her having a harmless, but early drink. "I was just stopping by to ask if you have the mayor's dress ready for the Equestria Monthly Officials meeting yet. She needs it done before tomorrow evening." Twilight continued, trying not to take her eyes off her relaxed friend.
"Oh that thing? It's back down in the work station closet. I Finished it last night and I'm taking today off to congratulate myself on a job well done." she replied quickly, waving her hand, scoffing at the notion that she wouldn't have finished an important dress like that by that point.
"Oh...well, great! Thanks for letting me know. You want I should take it to her or...?"
"Go for it, darling. In fact, I'd be most grateful if you'd do that for me. With you, I at least know it will get there safely and securely." Rarity said, batting her eyes playfully. She rubbed one of her alabaster hands on her robe-clad thigh softly before resting it on her round hip.
Twilight shrugged and blushed, arching her shoulders up in embarrassment. The wool on her sweater vest brushed her cheeks and she balled her hands together happily. "Thank you Rarity. I'll see you later. And have a good day off, okay?" Twilight said happily, walking out of Rarity's bedroom, about to shut the door behind her, waiting for a returned "good bye" from Rarity as a friendly gesture.
"Good bye darling! Send the mayor my regards!" Rarity called out to Twilight as she walked ouf the door. Twilight began to head down the stairway, but quickly turned around back to the door. She realized she left the door slightly cracked open instead of closed. Twilight walked back to the door and reached for the handle to shut it, but a sound jerked her hand away.

Twilight jerked her hand back up, wondering if she did that, but then she heard Rarity whispering.
"Hush now, please. Twilight just left, so show some respect for your mistress." Rarity said quietly, confident no one could hear her. Twilight wasn't sure what Rarity meant by that statement.
