The Return of a Legend

Prologue

*??? – 1st person POV*

“Oh God my head.” I said as woke up face down on the ground in my own drool. Yeah, real great way to wake up.

I slowly got up from the wooden floor of my home. As I stood up and got my balance again, I noticed that my house still pretty much intact and that only few books were on the ground. I walked over to the giant book shelf that I had and picked up the books that were on the ground and put them back in there respective places.

I walked over to the bathroom and turned on the water and let it run for minute. I hope the rest of the house is alright. You see the thing is I live in a pretty big house. A three story modern style house with three floors and a basement. I kind of kept adding on to the house over the past few years which got it to be to good size. I have my own personal library which actually takes up the whole third floor. It would be an understatement to say that I love to read a lot.

“What the hell happened last night?” I said as I splashed some cold water on my face. I looked into the mirror and saw that I had a bruise on my forehead. I shut off the water as memories of the previous night came to me.

I was grading papers for the high school class that I teach when my house began to shake. The tremors got worse, I assumed it was an earthquake and figured that it would be safer outside of the house. When I got up to get out of the house the earthquake caused me to trip and knock myself out on my coffee table. Pretty lame I know.

At that moment I heard a series of knocks at the door.

*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*

“Who could that be?” I said quietly to myself.

I live a little ways out of town. I like my privacy but I have nothing against visitors.

*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*

“Just a second! I’m coming!” I called out again only to for whoever was outside to begin hitting the doorbell repeatedly.

“Real mature!” I said as opened the door to see what I could only describe as six anthro pony girls that were standing in front of me with eyes wide in surprise.

To say that I was shocked at what I saw would be an understatement. I did what any brave man would do in this position.

*THUD!*

I passed out.

Beep…Beep…Beep…

I heard the sound of repeated beeping. As I slowly opened my eyes only to find my vision blurred. The bright lights didn’t help.

It took a few minutes before my vision finally came back to me fully. I turned to see that the beeping was coming from a heart monitor.

“Just a dream. It was all-” I started.

“Oh thank Celestia your aright!” A very feminine said with what sounded like a mixture of joy and relief to me.

I turned my head to see where the voice came from. When I did… Let’s just say that, saying I was surprised would be an understatement. In front of me was the six pony girls that were knocking on my front door.

“-not a dream!” I said as I tried to get up from the hospital bed only to find that I couldn’t move because my wrists and ankles were fastened tightly in restraints to the bed.

I began to thrash against the restraints in an attempt to get free but it was to no avail. The six girls surrounded me.

I began to thrash against my restraints even harder as they got closer.

“Sir, please calm down! You’re going to hurt yourself!” The purple one with the horn said.

“Shit! This is bad! Not again!” I screamed mentally as I saw that I was surrounded by unknown creatures.

Now you’re probably wondering what I meant by ‘Not again!’. Allow me to explain, I’ve had a lot of run in’s with strange creatures.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a high school teacher at my towns local high school in the state of California. I have a doctorate in paleontology. I know I sound like the run of the mill guy but I have had my runs in with some strange creatures that have tried to kill me on multiple occasions. You can see why I would be weary of strange creatures.

One of the girls was shouting something but I couldn’t hear her as I began screaming in anger. This was not how I was going to go down.

“Let me go!” I shouted in anger.

“Sir please calm down!” One of the nurses said as she ran into the room with a doctor.

“Like hell I’m gonna calm down! I’ve been abducted by aliens!” I shouted as I kept up my attempts to escape.

“Sir, we’ll take the restraints off of you if you just calm down, please.” The female nurse pleaded which caused me to pause for a moment.

“…Fine.” I reluctantly agreed. The nurse walked over to me and undid the restraints. As the nurse undid my restraints I noticed that she looked like a young woman mixed with a pony. I have to say that she was quite the looker. She wore regular nurse’s attire along with a nurse’s hat. She had white fur that covered her body. She was slightly shorter than me but not by much. As her fingers undid the restraints and I noticed that she had a muzzle and her ears were on the top of her head. Another thing that caught me off guard was the fact that she had hoofs for feet. I looked around and noticed that some of them had horns while others had wings and some of them had neither. As she undid the last restraint I rubbed my wrists.

“And for the record, technically you’re the alien.” She giggled.

That threw me through a loop and raised alarms in my head. I needed answers.

These creatures have not attacked me yet, and quite frankly they look pretty harmless. But I learned a long time ago that looks can be deceiving. I’ve always believed that the non-violent route was the best. I'll be nice to these girls and see if I can get some answers. If worst comes to worst I could try to fight my way out and make a run for it. But hopefully it won’t come to that. We’ll just have to wait and see.

*Ponyville Hospital: Mane 6 - 3rd Person*

“We’re sorry that you woke up like that, but when you passed out you seized up acted like you were in a seizure. The doctors had to restrain you for your own safety. We weren’t going to hurt you!” Twilight quickly added the last part. This caused the creature to look a little more at ease but he was still on guard.

“Where am I?” He asked.

“You’re in Ponyville hospital.” Rarity answered.

“Never heard of it. What country is that?” He replied with a look of confusion.

“You’re in the country of Equestria.” Twilight answered, this only the creature that was in front of her.

Twilight had so many questions for him. She could obviously tell that he was a male and that he was very intelligent just by the way he was talking. She was talking to a member of an unknown species. This was one of the most exciting moments in her life. She grew more excited as the thoughts of what she could learn from this new creature came flooding through her mind. She thought back to how she found him.

She was just inside her library and catching up on her studies until she felt the ground shake. At first she thought it was an earthquake but when she grabbed her #1 assistant and ran outside she saw that there was dark black clouds in the sky, green lightning was shooting from the sky. At that moment a giant bolt of neon green lightning slammed into an open field that was off in the distance. She saw a strange looking house that was big by normal standards out in the field appear out of nowhere as the smoke cleared from the blast.

A few moments later she received a letter that from the Princess that read as such.

To my faithful student,

As I am sure you are aware a very powerful surge of magic unlike anything I have ever felt before. I pray that you and the others are alright and that the earthquake did not harm any of you.

I’m am sorry to ask this of you but I sense a very powerful presence in Ponyille. I never sensed such a powerful presence before in my life. The power of this presence is almost as strong as mine, maybe even stronger. Luckily, I sense no evil or malice from this presence. But please be cautious either way. I need you and the other elements of harmony to investigate what this new presence is. I am currently looking into what could have possibly caused this magical surge.

She gathered up her friends and they all ran to the house while she told them about the letter. When they all got there they all saw a very weird looking house. The house was beautiful, but it looked like it was sort of futuristic.

Twilight thought back to the moment she first saw the man that was in front of her.

*Yesterday*

“Hurry up Twilight! I wanna see what this ‘ultra-powerful’ thing is! He’s probably not even strong at all!” Rainbow Dash said impatiently.

“Rainbow Dash, the Princess told me in her letter that this was a very powerful being that’s almost as strong as her! This being is most likely thousands of years old and very wise! Besides the Princess said that she could not sense any evil or ill intentions in it so we should not provoke it. The Princess wants us to befriend it.” Twilight explained.

“Oooh I can’t wait to throw him a party and I can’t wait to be his friend!” Pinkie squealed.

“Well darling, whoever this being is, they have exquisite taste in housing.” Rarity said as she looked at the house.

“It is a beautiful home.” Applejack said as Twilight knocked on the door.

*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*

They all waited for a moment but heard nothing for a moment. Applejack knocked again.

*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*

This time they got a response.

“Just a second! I’m coming!” A masculine voice called out.

Rainbow Dash grew impatient and began ringing the doorbell repeatedly.

“Real mature!” The voice called out but this time it sounded closer.

When the door opened they were shocked at what they saw.

Standing in front of them was a creature that looked like it was a furless primate. It had a black mane on the top of its head that was kept short and slightly spiked up. He wore black cargo pants with a black leather jacket with a dark green t-shirt underneath and black combat boots to top it all off. He looked fit, very muscular. Not as muscular as Big Mac but enough that those who saw him knew he could hold his own in a fight. Judging by his appearance he looked young. Like he was a young adult. Judging by the build of the body, it was obvious to them that he was a male.

Before anypony could say anything, he passed out and fell backwards onto the floor.

The mares quickly ran to his side and checked to see if he was alright.

“For a big guy he sure passed out like a wuss.” Dash said only to receive glares from the others except from Fluttershy who was still examining the passed out man.

“H-He should be fine, he just has a small bruise on his forehead. He’s just passed out, w-we should move him to that couch.” Fluttershy said in a tone that was barely above a whisper. The mares followed the animal lovers’ instructions as they all lifted him up and laid him on the couch.

“What is he?” Rainbow asked.

“I don’t know… I’ve never seen anything like him before.” Twilight explained.

“He’s a human!” Pinkie giggled.

“Pinkie, humans are just a myth.” Twilight said with a deadpan stare. Pinkie only giggled giddily.

“Hey! We should look around and see what’s in here!” Rainbow Dash said with a mischievous grin.

“Rainbow Dash, are you saying ya’ saying we snoop around another pony’s home?” Applejack said with stern glare.

“I too am quite interested myself, if only for curiosity’s sake. Besides, the princess did want us to investigate.” Rarity said with a hand on her chin.

“Oooh, he might have some fun stuff! He might even have some books for you Twilight!” Pinkie giggled.

Twilight felt her curiosity get the better of her.

“…Fine, but don’t touch anything!” Twilight said as they all nodded in agreement.

They all began wandering around the house and looking around.

*Applejack and Rainbow Dash*

After wandering around for a bit, Applejack and Rainbow Dash found themselves in what appeared to be a personal workout room. Weight sets and workout out machines were set up around the room.

“Look at that AJ, a stallion that likes to workout. Isn’t that what you’ve always wanted? A big strong stallion that will love you and hold you in his big, strong, muscular arms.” Dash teased the apple farmer which made her blush.

“Just because I want a stallion that can help out on the farm and can keep up with me doesn’t me I’m asking for the impossible.” Applejack defended.

“Besides, it sounds like you’ve been borrowing Rarity’s romance novels again.” Applejack said with a smirk to which Dash’s face turned bright red like a tomato.

“H-Hey, let’s check out the next room!” Rainbow nervously stated before flying into another room in an attempt to avoid the subject.

“Woah!” A surprised Rainbow shouted in the next room.

“You okay Rainbow?” Applejack asked with concern as she ran to see if her friend was alright.

When she entered the next room she gasped in surprise and shock.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash were both standing in a huge room. On the walls were swords, knives, bow staffs, Sais, and daggers that were all neatly organized.

On the other side of the room were some punching bags of varying sizes and a couple of wooden dummies that have seen a lot of use.

“This place is a dojo.” Applejack said.

“A bucking good one.” Rainbow added with an amazed tone.

“You think he’s some kind of elite guard?” Applejack asks.

“Definitely, I mean look at all of these weapons…Aw sweet a katana!” Dash said only to be distracted.

“Common Dash, We’re just looking around. You can’t just go messing with the stallion’s stuff.” She said as she pulled Rainbow away from the sword.

“Aw come on!” She said as she was dragged out of the room.

*Pinkie Pie and Rarity*

Pinkie Pie was hopping around with a smile on her face as she looked around the house with Rarity following closely behind her. They both came upon a bed room which was quite spacious. Rarity gasped when she spotted the man’s closet. It was a walk in closet. She saw a few suits, causal cloths, streetwear, and a few leather jackets. Other than that the closet was only half full.

Rarity instantly fell in love with the fashion and style of the clothing.

“Oh Pinkie darling, you must look at this! This stallion has excellent taste in fashion!” Rarity said as she admired the clothing.

“OH MY GOSH!” Pinkie gasped causing Rarity to walk out of the closet in concern.

“Darling are you alright?” The young fashionista asked with worry as she walked up to Pinkie Pie.

“He’s got the PonyStation 4 and the Pbox one!” Pinkie gasped.

“I have no idea what a Pbox is, but I do know they just released the PonyStation 1 last month. I remember because I bought one for Sweetiebelle.” Rarity said.

“Face it, you like to nerd out some time and play video games like all of us.” Pinkie said with a sly grin spreading across her face.

“S-So I picked up a controller a few times. That does not make me a gamer, I am still a lady!” Rarity said with a blush.

“Pony Fantasy 7 just came out.” Pinkie said.

“WHAT! WHEN!?” Rarity shrieked.

“I rest my case.” Pinkie said with a sly grin, causing Rarity to blush as she tried to stutter out a reply.

*Fluttershy and Twilight*

Twilight and Fluttershy were walking up the stairs to the third floor. They had just got done investigating the second floor, the only thing that she found of interest was a private office. It was very organized and had a couple bookshelves full of reference material. She skimmed through some of the books.

She wanted to stay and read them all but she knew she couldn’t. She had to check the rest of the house to see if he was a threat. Even if he did prove to be a threat or even a major one they would still try to establish peace with him and hopefully he would accept it. But from what she saw he seemed like he was very peaceful judging by his home. But that didn’t mean anything. What disturbed her the most was the fact that the Princess said that he was almost as powerful as her if not more.

She remembered something odd about the office. There was a globe that did not seem accurate at all. The land masses were all wrong. There were countries that she never even heard of. This could only lead her to the conclusion that he was from another world. It was far-fetched, yes. But it was the only thing that she could think of.

The books that he had also caught her attention. They were mainly on the subject of paleontology and cryptozoology. The paleontology book was filled with creatures that she had never even heard of. This was phenominal! She didn’t think much on the books on cryptozoology, but she loved to learn about new things and was happy to read it. She looked through it and noticed something very strange. It mentioned manicores, cockatrices, griffins and many of things that are in Equestria. But what got her attention the most and sent her mind whirling was that fact that it had articles on unicorns, Pegasus, dragons, and alicorns. They were all mere legends according to these books. They pictures of the Pegasus and unicorns in the book looked weird. They walked on for legs and the proportions were all wrong.

“Just what is this creature?” Twilight asked herself as she read the book.

Then she noticed something. All of the articles on dragons were underlined or circled in red marker.

“Hey Fluttershy, take a look at this.” Twilight said as she showed Fluttershy the book.

“I don’t understand. How can we be myths? We’re standing right here.” Fluttershy said softly.

“I think he’s an alien… I mean I took a look at the globe over there and it’s definitely not a globe of Equis.” Twilight said as she put the book back.

That was fifteen minutes ago, before checking the rest of the second floor. They saw that it was mainly bedrooms and a living area and some bathrooms. They were amazed at how big the house was.

They finally reached the third floor. What they saw made them go wide eyed and their ears stand up in surprise. The whole third floor was just one gigantic liberary. Aisles and aisles of books stretched out across the floor. Twilight immediately went wide eyed at what she saw, the place even had a sitting area.

“Oh…My…God.” Twilight said in a shocked voice as she ran to the nearest shelf of books. There was everything from textbooks that you would see in universities to novels. All categories of books were there and they were organized in the most efficient way she has ever seen. There were even signs above the aisles that let you know what section you were in. Whoever this stallion was, he had excellent taste when it came to books. She wouldn’t be surprised if he had every book that there was. It made her library look like nothing. Heck, it rivaled Celestia’s personal library.

Twilight became giddy with excitement as she jumped around like a school filly.

There were books on all subjects. History, Economics, Psychology, Anotomy, Physics, and so much more. She quickly picked up the Physics book and read a couple chapters. What she read was amazing.

“This is way beyond our understanding of Physics! This could revolutionized science!” She said out loud. She then picked up a book on technology. She read page after page of the first few chapters. She saw things that she couldn’t even imagine. She saw advanced medical care equipment, what appeared to be motorized carriages that the book called ‘cars’, flying machines that the book called an ‘airplane’.

After skimming through the book some more she moved on to another text book. This one had creatures that were called dinosaurs, she was amazed. Their some that were circled but she didn’t know why,. The names were hard for her to pronounce them accurately but she read on anyway. She found it very interesting.

When she walked through the aisles of books Twilight noticed a big section on dinosaurs. As she looked at the books she noticed that one of them was a book about dragons. Being the neat freak that she was, Twilight grabbed the book.

“This shouldn’t be here, this should be in the dragonology section.” Twilight said with a frown at the slight disorganization.

“There is just no excuse for such carelessness.” She said as she opened the book. To her surprise she found that the book was hollowed out.

“How could he destroy a book like this!? This is-” Twilight gasped only to be caught off guard by what she found. Inside of the book was an old leather bound journal that looked like it had seen many years of use.

“What’s this?” She said she dusted off the journal.

“T-This is a journal…it wouldn’t be right for me to read this.” She said to herself.

“But… I need to see if he is dangerous.” Twilight said as her curiosity got the better of her.

(Start Song)

“Let’s see.” She opened the journal to the very first page.

Log #1

Well...I've just officially joined the team... So now I am officially a good guy as of today... It's not like I hoped it would be.... The whole team has been nice to me and very supportive but I can tell that they don't trust me... Who would after what I've done... I've decided to keep this journal, why I don't know. Peace of mind? Maybe... All I know, is that I need some sleep. I'm writing this while sitting in the lounge area of the command center... Everyone is trying so hard to help me. After all I've done, why would they want to help me? I'll do everything that I can to earn their trust and I'll make up for what I've done...I have to.

I talked to Billy today, he told me not to worry and that things will get better. Nice guy. He's a good friend.

Twilight wondered who this team was. Whoever they were they sounded very forgiving and understanding. But she wondered what the mysterious stallion did to have trouble earning his friends trust. What concerned her the most was what he wrote, “So now I am officially a good guy as of today.”.

“What did he mean by that?” She thought as she went on to read the next entry.

Log #2

It’s been a month since my last entry. I’m here at home in my bedroom, just got done with the 2 ton pile of homework Ms. Appleby gave us today. But that’s high school for you.

It’s weird, I’ve been sitting here the whole time and can’t believe how this all came to be. I have superpowers, freaking superpowers! And I have no idea what to do with them. The others have them as well. I’m happy that we’re all doing the super hero thing but I personally think we should train harder. The things that were fighting are LITERALLY trying to kill us. I mean we’re strong against regular people, but we’re going against monsters. MONSTERS! The worst part is that these things are smart! I mean they are organized and they are as intelligent as you and me. They can talk and hold full conversations. They form plans and they want to kill us all.

I told the others about this, they agreed as well. Me and the guys brought in some old workout equipment to the command center.

It really ties the place together. The girls were happy to say the least. They were worried that they were gaining weight and happy to have the opportunity to workout whenever they want. I told them that they were fine but they didn’t believe me, but it made them happy.

Maybe I should mess around with my powers at the lake or something. Nobody goes there during the week. It will give me some time myself. Besides, it’s really beautiful there this time of year... Things have been a little tough lately. I’ve been on edge lately. So have the others.

We had to go after another monster. It managed to kill 12 people before we could stop it… They didn’t deserve to die… I don’t know what to do… I think the hardest part is that their loved ones have no idea how they died. When we fight these monsters we have to make sure that the battles are kept secret and that nobody knows that these monsters existence. Don’t get me wrong. If someone sees we don’t do anything to them, we just get out of there. By doing this we take down these sick freaks and prevent others from getting hurt. We have to keep our identities secret. That’s why I’m only going to use first names only in this journal and not go into too much detail about things.

It’s getting late, I can hear mom calling me for dinner. I’ll go eat and play catch with dad in the yard afterwards and then I’ll get to bed.

Twilight was shocked by what she read. It sounded like this creature was part of some secret superhero team.

“Nah, that’s absurd. He’s was probably part of some secret guard unit or something that fought some unknown hostile creatures. Besides monsters don’t exist.” She thought to herself as flipped to the next page.

Log #3

Another monster attack happened. Me and the others were in class at the time. When it happened we were all moved to the auditorium and told to duck under the bleachers. We managed to slip away when all of the school’s students were moved there. We teleported to the area of the attack managed to kill it. By the time we got there were already heavy casualties. I managed to sketch a picture of the thing.

This sick freak managed to kill 50 people at a construction site. With all of these powers, I still feel powerless. Me and the others can’t stop thinking about what happened. Our boss who I shall not name, said that this was not our fault. He said that this was an unfortunate result of the evil that we must fight.

The thing that got me the most was that our boss promoted me as the leader. Everyone agreed with him and said that I showed great leadership. I thanked them for their confidence in me but told them that I wasn't cut out to be a leader. Unfortunately I couldn't talk them out of it. So now I am officially their leader.

It still doesn’t help me sleep at night. I haven’t been sleeping much really. Not since the fighting against these things started.

Twilight gasped as she read more and more. From what she could tell this stallion and his friends were fighting in some secret war, and the worst part they were just children that were still in highschool. What terrified her the most was the picture of the demonic looking monster.

Log # 4

I FUCKED UP! NO SEROIUSLY, I FUCKED UP BIG TIME!

Remember how I said that I was going to mess around with my powers so I could train with them, right? Well I did, but first I need to explain something.

The way powers work are like this, to activate my powers fully I need to transform. When I’m not transformed, I can still use my powers but only at a fraction of their full strength.

When I went to the lake I used the full strength of my powers……part of the forest that surrounds the lake is gone. How this happened I will not say but apparently when I fired that blast it was so strong that it blew my cloths of…underwear included.

I literally had to run back to the command center stark ass naked. The worst part was that I had to go through the city. I had to duck behind buildings and alley ways. I almost got spotted 12 times! I managed to get through downtown and make my way out of town and through the local canyon. That was a total of 15 miles! When I finally got back to the command center I thought I was home free. I ran inside and let out a sigh of relief.

…Only to turn and see that the girls were inside the command center as well, staring at me with shocked expressions as huge blushes spread across their faces.

I ran out of the room and too my own personal room that was kept there. We each have our own living quarters there in case we ever run into trouble at home or if we just want to stay there.

After I put on some new clothing I walked out of the room only to see the girls standing there, still blushing. I immediately apologized and told them what happened. They were both very understanding. But they asked me something that made my mouth drop.

“Why didn’t you just teleport back to your room here?” They both asked.

I can’t believe that I forgot about that. I am such an idiot.

Twilight couldn’t help but giggle at this and was thankful that this entry wasn’t gloomy like the others.

Log #5

I'm pinned down in the local rock quarry, I'm currently hiding in a cave. Those things are not easing up! There pissed off at me for turning on them. It was those bastards fault! That bitch they work for put me under her control with her magic against my will! Can you fucking believe that! Fucking magic! If you had told me that magic was real I would have told you to go see a psychiatrist. She used her magic to take control of me and made me fight for her, but now I'm free and that's all that matters, and my friends are here for. But I have the last laugh, I still have the powers that she gave me and I'm going to get my revenge on her. She won't hurt anyone ever again. I just got to wait for the others to get here and help me.

God my leg is killing me, one of the patrollers managed to get me good in the left leg, I can still use it but I just need to rest. I've been fighting those things all day.

Shit! Somethings coming! it's getting-

Sorry about that, five enemies found me but I managed to take them down... That was three hours ago, I managed to sneak out of the cave and meet up with the others. They dealt with the rest of the enemy. So we managed to get back safe and sound.

Log #6

The past 2 weeks have been quiet. No monster attacks. The team has been inviting me to hang out. I’ve been kind of busy for the past week. They’ve been worried about me. They came over to my house today and invited me to go to the beach today. The girls were already wearing their bathing suits and smiling at me.

Around that time my dad and mom came walking into the room and overheard the entire conversation.

“You aren’t going to turn down these two lovely young ladies now are you son?” Mom asked me.

“Go enjoy yourself son, you work so hard in school. You need a break. Here go enjoy yourself.” Dad said as he handed me a couple of fifties. I was pretty surprised by that, I thanked him.

“Go on son, you don’t want to keep these pretty girls waiting.” Mom said with a giggle and a wink.

We all took Jason’s car, it was one of the best days I’ve ever had. We all had a lot of fun at the beach.

Log #7

Today the school was attacked by another monster that bitch sent after us, the monsters entered the school and began attacking everyone. We managed to take out a lot of them. Luckily none of the students or faculty got hurt or killed this time. The police rushed into the school and saw us fighting against the monsters and actually winning. Luckily they figured out that we were on their side very fast. They even fought alongside us. But that lead to another problem.

They saw us. The police saw us along with the whole school! Worst of all, one of the cops that was there was my father!

I slashed one of the monsters while my dad kept firing his pistol at them. He managed to take down a few. The whole time he didn’t know it was me due to me morphing. One of the monsters got him in the leg but I carried him out of there while the cops provided us with support fire. We managed to clear out the whole school.

The lead monster did what they always do and grew to the size of a skyscraper. We managed to take it down but it did cause some damage. I’ve seen movies were giant monsters fight before but this is just ridicules at how many times this happens in our city. I’m just glad that I don’t have to pay the bill.

The whole world knows about us now. They don’t know our identities but they know that we exist now and that we’re always going to protect them. They even called us a hero on TV. Dad’s alright. His leg will take a couple of weeks to heal but he’ll be fine. Dad kept saying that he was saved by a super hero dressed in dark green battle armor.

He didn’t know that it was me. It’s probably better this way.

Twilight stopped reading the journal. She was amazed at what she just read.

Twilight began to put the books away back in their original spots.

Around that time Fluttershy was on the other side of the library and was looking at the animal books. She was smiling as she was looking at a picture of baby otters playing with each other. Around that time she felt something begin to lick her hand. She let out a tiny ‘eep’ out of surprise. She turned only to see a German Shepard that was sitting there panting happily.

“Oh a doggy!” he said happily as she walked over to the dog and began to pet him to which he happily barked at the attention being given to him. The dog began to lick Fluttershy’s face to which she giggled.

Around that time Twilight walked towards Fluttershy as she hid the journal that she found in her skirt.

“You okay Fluttershy?” She asked and smiled when she saw Fluttershy petting the dog.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I just found this little guy here. I wonder what his name is?” Fluttershy asked as she looked at the dogs tag that hung from his collar.

“Saban… That’s a nice name. I like it.” Fluttershy smiled before turning back to Twilight.

“What was that book you put in your skirt?” Fluttershy asked.

“W-What book!? I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Twilight said only for Fluttershy to give her a cute pout.

“Don’t lie to me Twilight… If that’s alright with you.” Fluttershy whispered.

“Alright.” Twilight sighed in defeat as she pulled out the journal.

“I found a journal that I think belongs to the stallion downstairs…and I read some of it.” Twilight said as she handed the journal to Fluttershy.

“Twilight that wasn’t very nice. You shouldn’t read others dairies. You should know better!” Fluttershy said with a cute pout as she began to scold her friend.

“I know! I know! But I had to see if he was a threat! You should read what was in this!” She said as she opened the journal up and showed it to her.

Before she could protest she found her curiosity get the better of her as she read the same entries that Twilight read. Fluttershy immediately began to shake at what she just read.

“M-Monsters!” Fluttershy gasped.

“Yeah, from what I read he must have been part of some secret group of knights or something that fought monsters. But you can’t tell anypony about this.” Twilight told her friend.

“Why?” She asked with confusion.

“Because if the others find out they won’t be able to keep a secret. Rarity loves to gossip too much, Dash can’t keep a secret, Applejack can’t lie or keep a secret, and Pinkie would probably let it slip out by accident.” Twilight explained.

“I-I still don’t understand?” Fluttershy stuttered.

“We have no idea how the stallion down stairs would react to finding out that we read this. Besides, this will help us learn more about him. The princess did ask us to do this. I need you to promise me that you won’t tell anypony.” Twilight pleaded.

“But I-”

“Please Fluttershy!” Twilight pleaded.

“…O-Okay… I promise.” She said with a hint of disappointment.

“Thank you Fluttershy.” Twilight said with a smile.

Around that time the dog barked and ran to another room it looked back at them for a moment and barked again as if he wanted them to follow him. They followed him out of the library and into a room that they didn’t even know was there.

The wall in the room had pictures of men and woman. Under the names were dates of birth and dates of death. There was another wall that was across the room but this seemed different, It had pictures of many people, many of them young and above it, it said 'Those that have moved on'.

“What is this?” Fluttershy asked.

“I think this is a memorial wall… To honor the dead.” Twilight answered which got a gasp out of Fluttershy.

“We should meet up with the others.” Twilight said to which Fluttershy nodded as they all went down stairs.

The girls were all down stairs and saw that the man was still passed out on the couch.

“What did you girls find?” Twilight asked.

“Pinkie and I searched his bedroom, I must say he has exquisite taste in fashion!” Rarity said.

“And game systems!” Pinkie added with a giggle and smile.

“We found an awesome dojo!” Rainbow Dash said with a smile.

“He has a ton of weapons and in that dojo. I think he might be some type of knight or something.” Applejack said as she scratched her head and placed her hat back on her head.

“A knight! Finally my knight in shining armor has come for me!” Rarity said as her eyes twinkled.

“Actually that would make sense, from what I can tell he must be some type of elite guard or at least a knight.” Twilight said as she remembered what she read in the journal.

“I found a library filled with books on every subject, he even has his own office. His race is far more advanced than ours, that’s for sure. I mean just think of how much his knowledge could help advance Equestria, the entire world could benefit from him-” Twilight began to rant only to realize that she was getting side tracked.

“he he… Sorry.” She said with a sheepish grin.

“We found some kind of memorial wall… Most of them were very young. I think they’re his friends.” She said.

Pinkie’s ears drooped at hearing this.

“That’s so sad.” Pinkie Pie said with her eyes brimming with tears.

“A knight honoring his fallen comrades, years after they’re death! Mourning them as he is forever alone!” Rarity said with tears in her eyes.

They all looked at the man that was laying down on the couch unconscious. But at that moment he started to go into convulsions.

“He’s seizing up! Quick, hold him down!” Twilight said as the man was going into convulsion.

“We need to get him to the hospital!” Twilight said as she teleported the man and her friends to the hospital.

*Present Time - 3rd person POV*

Twilight watched as the man in front of her looked surprised. He then looked out the hospital room’s window and saw his house off in the distance. He began to panic when he finally realized that he was not on Earth anymore.

“W-Where am I?” He said as he began to panic more.

“I told you, were-”

“No! I mean what planet are we on!?” He shouted.

“Um…Equis.” Twilight told the young man to which he began to panic.

“I…I…I’m in another world.” Was all he could say as he seem to zone out as his eyes seemed to lose some of the light in them.

“I-It’s okay, everything is going to be okay.” Twilight said only to be interrupted.

“I’m in another world!” He said as he jumped up and began to panic. The girls tried to get him to sit down. But he seemed to be out of it. After a while he managed to calm his breathing down.

“Listen, I know that you are scare but everything’s going to be okay. The Princess sent us to see what you were and maybe she can help you.” Twilight said with a reassuring smile as she tried to calm the man down.

“Y-You’re right… I just need to calm down.” He said as he managed to calm down.

“You must have a lot of family and friends back home that miss you for you to be so worried.” Twilight said a worried expression.

“Not really. I don’t have many friends.” He said with a sad expression.

“Why not? Friends are one of the most important things in life!” Twilight said with a smile.

“Many of my friends have moved in life or are… no longer around.” He said the last part with a hint of sadness in his voice. Twilight instantly remembered the memorial wall.

“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry, I completely forgot about your memorial wall!” Twilight panicked that she offended him.

“Wait a minute! You searched through my house!” The man said as his anger rose.

“N-No we didn’t it!” Twilight tried to lie to the man but failed miserably. He stared at all of them as they all smiled sheepishly.

“What rooms did you search?” He asked to which she began to sweat as her eyes darted around nervously.

“What… Rooms... Did you search?” He asks as he gritted his teeth.

“F-First floor, b-bedrooms on the second floor, and the third f-floor library…a-and the memorial r-room!” Twilight said nervously.

The young man took a deep breath in order to try and calm himself.

“At least they didn’t check the basement, my lab equipment is in there. Judging by the looks of the purple one I can already tell that she is a bookworm. But most of all they didn’t find the hidden room there.” He thought.

“Why did you search my house?” He asked.

“B-Because we were scared!” Twilight said. This caught the man off guard.

“W-What?” He said with a confused expression.

“You’re an alien that appeared out of nowhere! We were scared that you might be dangerous and a threat to our friends and families! We were just making sure that you wouldn’t hurt us!” Twilight said with fear in her voice.

“I-I’m sorry… I didn’t know.” He said with surprise in his voice.

“I would never hurt the innocence. I know we got off to a rocky start but I can assure you that I would never hurt any of you or your loved ones.” He said with gentle and sincere smile.

The girls all seemed to calm down at his words.

“We’re sorry that we went into your house, darling. But it is as Twilight said, we had to make sure.” Rarity said.

“I understand and it’s fine.” He said.

“My name is Tommy Oliver.” The human said with a smile.

“My name is Twilight Sparkle, personal student of Princess Celestia.” Twilight said with a smile.

“My names Rainbow Dash, fastest flyer in Equestria!” Rainbow says with a laugh as she demonstrates by flying around the room.

“I’m Applejack, I run and own Sweet Apple Acres. We grow the best apples in all of Equestria!” She says as she tips her hat to him with a smile.

“I-I’m Flutteshy, I t-take c-care of animals.” She stutters barely loud enough for Tommy to hear.

“I’m Rarity, premiere fashion designer and fashionista, I must say darling I simply love your sense of style.” Rarity says gaining a smile from the man.

“Aaaaand I’m Pinkie Pie! Ponyvilles local party planner and baker!” Pinkie Pie said.

“Oh-my-gosh-you’re-an-alien!-Do-you-like-parties-I-like-parties!-Do-you-wanna-be-my-bestest-best-friend!” Pinkie Pie says to which the man could only blink in surprise.

“Um… Yes I like parties and yes I would love to be your ‘bestest best’ friend Pinkie Pie.” He said to which she quickly tackled/hugged him to which he could only chuckle as she giggled.

“I have to ask darling, what are you?” Rarity asked.

“I’m a human. The scientific term for my species would be Homo Sapiens.” He said to which Twilight gasped in shock.

“Told you!” Pinkie cheered as she sat on the man’s lap and wrapped her arms around his neck in a hug.

“T-This is huge! I have so many questions!” Twilight shouts as she quickly makes a quill, ink well, and a scroll of parchment appear out of nowhere. His eyes went wide as he saw them floating in the air surrounded by a purple aura.

“H-How did you do that?” He asked in surprise.

“What? I just used my magic to make these appear.” She said with a tilt of her head.

“You have magic in this world!” He said with surprise in his voice.

“Yeah, as a unicorn me and Rarity are able to use magic directly. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are Pegasus, they magic they have is much different, it allows them to control the weather and fly. Pinkie Pie and Applejack are earth ponies, their magic gives them incredible physical strength and allows them to grow crops and gems from the soil and earth itself.” Twilight explained to Tommy.

“So wait a minute you’re um…”

“We’re ponies!” Pinkie cheered with a cute giggle as she continued to hug him.

That sent me through a loop. But I could see what she was saying. They did have some horse like features. As I stared at them I saw that they had fur all over their bodies and they had muzzles, they even had tails and hooves for feet but they also had a lot of human features as well and they wore cloths as well. The only way I could describe them was that they looked like a cross between a pony and a human. They looked quite attractive actually.

“Doesn’t your world have magic?” Twilight asks.

“Nope, humans don’t have magic.” He explained.

“So magic doesn’t exist in your world! Yet you still managed to achieve advanced technology, that’s incredible!” Twilight said with amazement in her voice. Tommy looked at her in confusion at how she would know that.

“I read a few books in your library. Which I must say is incredible.” She explained to which he nodded.

“Thank you.” He said with a smile.

“So you have no magic in your world at all?” Rarity asked.

“I’ve ran into a number of individuals who had the capability of magic but most of them were very evil and hurt many people, let's just say I've had some pretty bad experiences with magic.” He explained to which the answer surprised and shocked her.

The young man looked simply looked around the room for a moment before breaking the silence.

“You said I was seizing up when you brought me here? Why was I seizing up?” Tommy asked.

“From what the doctor said, you had no magic in your body whatsoever. The magic in the atmosphere must have affected you badly. But don’t worry the doctor says you’ll be fine now. They said it was from the initial shock was all.” Twilight explained to which Tommy nodded.

“That is one sweet dojo you have!” Dash said with a smirk.

“Thank you.” He replied with a smile.

“What martial arts do you study?” Dash asks.

“I study Karate, Muay Thai, Tae Kwan Do, Ninjutsu, MMA, Kendo, and a few other styles” Tommy explained to the mares.

“That is so awesome!” Dash said with a big smile.

“Sweet Celestia!” Twilight said as she wrote down everything in her notes.

“I’ve never even heard of some of those styles. I’m a black belt in Karate myself.” Dash said with a smirk.

“Are those human styles of fighting?” Twilight asked.

“Yes, there are actually many martial arts in my world. Countless different styles.” The man said.

“Are you a knight?” Twilight asked.

“A what?” The man said with a confused expression.

“A knight, they protect the innocent and fight against evil beings and monsters. They are very dashing and handsome.” Rarity said with dreamy eyes as she began to fantasize.

“I am no knight. I’ve never fought against monsters or anything like that.” Tommy lied as he remembered his days as a power ranger back in Angel Grove. The memories of all the monsters he had ever fought came rushing back to him. He shivered for a moment.

Tommy turned to see Applejack staring at him intently.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

“You’re lying.” Applejack said with an upset tone.

“What makes you say that?” He asked with a calm even expression.

“I’m one of the elements of harmony, the element of honesty, I can smell a lie from a mile away.” She said with a look of pride on her face.

“So you are a knight! My knight has finally come to sweep me off my hooves!” Rarity said dramatically with a starry look in her eyes.

“Are you a retired knight?” Twilight asked.

“What’s with everyone thinking that I’m a knight?” Tommy I asked with a look of annoyance.

“Will if you’re not a knight then what are you then?” Twilight asked the man with a suspicious look.

“I’m a high school teacher, I have a doctorate in paleontology.” Tommy said.

“You’re a teacher?” To which he nodded. She looked at Applejack to which she nodded at her, signaling that he was telling the truth.

“That doesn’t make sense! If you’re a teacher then why do you know so much about fighting?!” Twilight demands.

“Can’t a guy have a hobby?” He said to which Twilight just sat there with her jaw hitting the ground at the answer she was given.

“He is definitely a knight, if that journal is anything to go by!” Twilight thought.

“Well I think we should get going. I don’t want to take up a hospital room that could be given to someone else that needs it.” Tommy said as he walked out of the room with the girls following closely behind him.

After signing some paper work Tommy and the girls walked out of the hospital.

“I have more questions for you!” Twilight said as she caught up with the young man.

“Okay. Ask away.” The former power ranger said.

“How old are you?”

“28.” He said.

“Where are you from?”

“I lived in a big city called Angel Grove for a long time when I was younger, but now I live or in this case, used to live in Reef Side where I teach at the local high school.” He said as he continued walking in the general direction of his house.

“Why are you so bent on asking me questions about myself?” He asked good naturedly with a laugh.

“The princess has to know about you. She sent us to make sure that you’re not a threat. She wanted us to see if you were friendly as well.” Twilight explained.

“As you can see I am not a threat and I am very friendly.” Tommy answered back with a laugh as he walked off.

Twilight quickly ran after him. She ran in front of him.

“I still have more questions! The princess needs to know more about you!” Twilight says as the others are quickly running after him to catch up.

“I’m kind of still trying to get over the fact that I am stuck in another world with possibly no way back to my own world.” He said as he continued to walk.

Tommy saw his house off in the distance and continued into the direction of it.

“But you have so much technology and knowledge and books! BOOKS! FROM ANOTHER WORLD! A WHOLE ENTIRE LIBRARY OF THEM!” Twilight shouted.

Before Tommy could reply he heard a loud scream.

Tommy ran to the sounds of the screams. As he ran he saw a school house with three little fillies being pushed around by five stallions. One of the stallions smacked one of the fillies across the face. The filly who was smacked across the face began to cry, she had white fur and a two tone purple mane that had a few curls.

“Sweetie Belle!” Rarity cried as she saw her baby sister who was like a daughter to her get hurt and begin sobbing.

“Leave my students alone!” A wine colored mare shouted as she ran out of the school house and up to one of the stallion that struck Sweetie Belle and punched him in the face.

“Ah, you bitch!” The stallion said as he lunged at the teacher.

Everypony gasped in horror as he drew his fist back. Cheerilee’s eyes went wide in horror.

*CRACK!*

The stallion went flying backwards with a broken jaw.

“Why don’t you back the fuck up and leave these kids and their teacher alone.” Tommy said in an angry tone as he stood in front of the teacher and the three fillies.

The stallions gave death glares to the man, but they were shocked by what they saw. The man’s eyes looked as if they were filled with green lightning.

The stallion was out cold on the ground while his four buddies just stood there shocked. They snapped out of their shock and lunged at the man.

The first stallion lunged at the man and threw a punch at his head only for him to catch the punch and flip the stallion over his shoulder. The man slammed a kick to the side of the stallion’s head, knocking him out cold. The second and third stallion rushed the man as they tried to overpower the man only for him to slam two rapid kicks into each of them. They both hit the ground, out cold.

The last stallion pulled out a switch blade and lunged at the man. The girls gasped. Tommy sidestepped the strike as the stallion tried to stab him. Tommy grabbed the stallion’s wrist and twisted the knife out of his hand and slammed five rapid punches into his stomach followed by an uppercut to the stallion’s jaw. The stallion went limp as the only thing that was keeping him up was the man’s grip on his wrist.

Tommy let go of the unconscious stallion’s wrist causing him to fall to the ground with a dull thud.

Tommy turned to the three fillies and saw one of them crying. It was the one that was struck earlier. He got down on one knee in front of the little filly.

“Hey there little one, don’t worry, the bad guys are all gone.” He said with a smile to which the little filly began to cry more as she hugged the man.

“T-Thank you!” The young filly cried.

“You’ll welcome little one. We should get some ice on that.” He said to the filly whose face was beginning to bruise and swell slightly.

“I-I want Rarity!” The young filly sobbed as Rarity ran to her little sister and pulled her into a tight hug.

“Oh Sweetie Belle! What have they have those ruffian’s done to you!” Rarity cried as she embraced her sister.

“Thank you Tommy for saving my little sister. You truly are my knight in shining armor.” Rarity said as Rainbow Dash and Applejack both ran up to the two other fillies and began hugging them and checking them over for any injuries.

“You welcome Rarity, I just wish I could have stopped them sooner before they hurt her.” Tommy said.

“I don’t know who you are but I’m very grateful for you coming to our rescue. Thank you.” Cheerilee said to the man.

“You’re welcome, you alright?” The man said with concern.

“I’m okay, I have no idea why they attacked the girls. They were just coming in for some tutoring, I gave them a break and then those guys came around.” Cheerilee said with a frown.

“They said they wanted us to give them our money, we told them we didn’t have any. Then they got angry and h-hit me.” Sweetie Belle as she was crying.

“I don’t understand why anypony would hurt somepony. Especially a little filly!” Twilight said with a horrified look on her face.

“I’m happy there was a guard like you around.” Cheerilee said with a smile.

“Oh, I’m not a guard.” Tommy said.

“With how you took those thugs down I find that hard to believe. If you’re not a guard then what are you?” She asked with a perplexed look.

“I’m a high school teacher.” He said to which shocked her.

“Really? Where do you teach?” She asked.

“Reef Side High, California.” He answered.

“Never heard of the place, is that overseas?” She asked.

“No, it’s much, much farther than that.” He said with a slight chuckle which confused the mare. Pinkie Pie then ran up and laughed.

“He’s from another world!” Pinkie laughed and giggled.

“What?” Cheerilee was surprised but when the girls began to explain that Tommy was from another world her jaw dropped at that.

“Don’t worry, I’m not here to invade or anything like that.” He laughed. Miss Cheerilee shook herself out of her shock.

“I never thought that I would see the day that a being from another world would be standing right here in front of me.” She said.

“What are you exactly?” She asked.

“I’m a human. My names Tommy. Tommy Oliver.” He said as he held out his hand.

“I’m Cheerilee, nice to meet you.” She said with a smile as she reached out and shook his hand.

“Like wise.” He said with a smile of his own.

“I wish I could talk some more with you but I got to go get a guard here to arrest these criminals before they wake up.” She said motioning to the unconscious stallions.

“But if you’re ever looking for work, I could always use another teacher to help me out with the classes. Celestia knows these kids are a handful.” She said.

“I know that feeling. I’ll be sure to look you up if I’m looking for a job.” He said with a smile as they both said their goodbyes. Tommy, the girls, along with the cutie mark crusaders now, all began to make their way to the man’s home.

“I can’t thank you enough Tommy for what you did back there for my little Sweetie Belle.” Rarity said as she carried her baby sister in her arms as she tried to calm her down.

“Don’t mention it. You two seem pretty close.” He said with a smile.

“We are, my parents travel a lot on business so she lives with me. I’ve basically raised her. Don’t get me wrong, our parents love us it’s just they’re jobs are very demanding and they try to gives a better life than they had.” Rarity explained.

“I get what you’re saying, my parents were the same way. It’s rough but it’s like you said, they are just trying to give you both better lives and opportunities.” He said to which Rarity smiled.

“Ah, enough of the emotional stuff already! You just kicked major flank and you’re acting like it was nothing!” Rainbow Dash said with a groan of frustration.

“You were like pow! Hiya! Bam!” Pinkie said as she pretended be fighting off a group of bad guys.

Tommy couldn’t help but find the pink mares antics cute and funny.

“I just wished you would have done one thing during the fight though.” Pinkie said with a tilt of her head.

“What’s that?” Tommy asked.

“I wished you would have shouted ‘IT’S MORPHING TIME!’” Pinkie said with a giggle.

Tommy’s eyes went wide and his mouth kept opening and closing like a fish.

“That’s what the super heroes in my favorite comic always say when they transform!” She said with a giggle to which Tommy let out a sigh of relief.

“How long have you been studying martial arts?” Rarity asked.

“Since I was a child. My parents thought it would be a good idea for me to know how to defend myself.” Tommy said to which the mares were amazed.

“I have to ask, why did your princess send you and your friends to see if I was friendly? Seems like a job for the police or military.” Tommy asked.

“We’re the elements of harmony!” Pinkie giggled.

“The what?” The human said with a confused expression.

The six mares began explaining what the elements of harmony were. They explained how they were the bearers of the elements of harmony and that they were used by them to defend Equestria and protect it from evil.

“That’s pretty impressive.” Tommy said with a smile which caused the mares to smile.

“My friends and I used to be part of a group that was a lot like that.” The man said with laugh.

“WHAT!” The girls shouted as they closed the distance between them and the man in an instance.

“Tell me everything! What element did you wield? What evil villains did you stop? How many members were part of your group?” Twilight began to rant only to be cut off.

“Twilight, I admire your thirst for knowledge but I am very tired and I just want to-”

“Tell me!” Twilight said with her left eye twitching as her hair became slightly frazzled which was starting to creep the man out.

“Twilight dear, don’t you think Tommy is tired from his whole ordeal. He must be exhausted. Maybe you could hold off for a little bit on the questions?” Rarity said to Twilight causing her to turn her head towards the fashionista.

“But Rarity, he is literally the discovery of a lifetime! I need to know all about him! Did you hear what he said about being part of a group that’s similar to us, the Princess needs to know!” She said as she turned her head back to Tommy only to realize that he was now long gone.

“TOMMY OLIVER!!! GET YOUR FLANK BACK HERE THIS INSTNANT!!!” Twilight screamed.

Tommy slammed the door shut behind him and locked it tightly. Twilight was a friendly mare in his opinion but he was beginning to think that she wasn’t all there mentally when it came to obtaining knowledge. That’s why he decided to get the hell out of there and back to his home.

Tommy walked up the stairs and into his room and sat down on his bed. He could only sit there thinking about everything that had just happened that day as he felt the exhaustion of the day hit him. It was only then that the whole situation of him being stranded in another world began to sink in fully.

He calmly picked up the pillow next to him and pressed it to his face and let out a loud scream that was muffled by the pillow. When he took the pillow away from his face he saw his dog Saban looking up at him while tilting his head.

Tommy then slammed his face back into the pillow and screamed into it again as he fell back into the bed.

“It seems that the young lad is taking this rather well compared to how he could be.” Discord said as a white alicorn with a redish brown mane walked up beside him.

“He is our only hope Discord, we need an experienced warrior who is noble and selfless. I sense a great evil coming, I fear that this evil is stronger that is stronger than anything that Equestria has ever faced before.” The alicorn said as she looked into the magical window that showed the man in his home.

“Faust, what makes you think that he is capable of stopping this evil?” Discord said with an intrigued look as the magical window began to show the man’s past. The young man was much younger and dressed in green armor and was slashing apart monsters. Discord watched as the magical window as a smile came to his lips and he began to laugh.

“Oooh I love this show!” He said with a laugh as he made a giant bucket of popcorn appear.

“As you can see, his past shows that he has more than proven himself.” She said as the magical window disappeared.

“Let us just hope that he can come through for us.” The alicorn said with a worried look on her face.

I'll only use 1st person pov sometimes or whenever I feel like it. I'll mainly use 3rd person pov.

I had this idea in my head for a while. For this story the actual lives of the power rangers will be much darker. I got the idea from reading a "truth behind" creepypasta about the power rangers which gave me the idea of making the power rangers slightly more darker than what they were in the show.

Also, a big shout out to Xinrick who helped me out with this and gave me ideas and for his help with the description.
