"This can't be true. My eyes must be playing tricks on me." Rumble stared down the hallway with disbelief.
"Sorry Rumble. I just thought you should know since you've been in love with Scootaloo since the sixth grade." Sweetie Belle put a hand on his shoulder but, he moved.
"I have not been in love with her since the sixth grade." He blushed and avoided eye contact. "I've been in like with her since the sixth grade. It's totally different."
Sweetie Belle laughed but, soon got serious. "Look we both don't want this relationship to go any further than it already is."
Rumble stared at her in confusion. "Why don't you want her to date Button Mash? He's a pretty cool guy, cooler than me."
"Why? Because he's MINE! I mean because you guys are a much cuter couple." Sweetie Belle smiled innocently trying to control her eye twitch.
"Noted but we only kissed once and that was in the eighth grade. It's clear that she's moved on, how can I ever win her back?"
"Sing. Girls like guys who sing. It's like the guardian angel of romance."
Rumble thought about it and it always worked in the movies. He took a deep breath and walked towards Flash. "Give me a beat."
Rumble walked up to Scootaloo and pushed Button Mash aside. "We were both young when I first saw you. I close my eyes and the flashback starts I'm standing there below a balcony in summer air. I see the lights, see the party, the ball gowns. I know your watching me go throw the crowd I say hello but, little did I know. That I was Romeo I was throwing pebbles and your daddy said stay away from Juliet and you where crying on the stair case begging me please don't go. So you said Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone. I'll be waiting; all that's left to do is run. I'll be the prince and You'll be my princess, It's a love story, baby, just say-" ring!
The bell rang and everyone started heading towards their class not even giving Rumble a second thought.
"Ummm, I'll see you later Scootaloo." Button Mash was gonna reach for her arm but, saw Rumble and decided not to before walking away.
When the hall was clear Scootaloo backed Rumble into a locker. "What the hell was that!?"
"Did you like it? Was I charming?" Rumble smiled sheepishly.
Scootaloo blushed, folded her arms and looked away. "Never mind did I like it. You scared off Button Mash! What's the deal?"
Rumble thought this was the perfect time to use Sweetie Belle's advice. "And I'd give up forever to touch you. 'Cause I know that you feel me somehow. You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be and I don't wanna go home right now. And I don't want the world to see me. 'Cause I don't think that they'd understand. When everything's made to be broken. I just want you to know-"
Scootaloo put a hand over his mouth. "Okay what is with you and songs today? What's going on Rumble we used to be close but, your starting to act weird around me."
This song thing wasn't working, maybe Sweetie Belle was wrong. Rumble sighed and looked into Scootaloo's eyes. "Sweetie Belle doesn't want you to date Button Mash because she likes him." He blurted out.
"Well then that's something me and Sweetie Belle need to talk about." Scootaloo began to head to class but Rumble grabbed her arm.
"There's another thing. I don't want you to date Button Mash because-"
"You like him too?"
"What? No! I like you."
"Rumble I know we kind of kissed that one time but, you've never shown that you like me in that way."
"I've liked you since forever. Why do you think I'm always around you."
"A lot of people are always around me."
"Just listen to my lyrics, please."
"Fine."
Rumble sung slowly so Scootaloo wouldn't miss a word. "It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you. There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do. I bless the rains down in Africa. Gonna take some time to do the things we never had."
Rumble leaned in but, Scootaloo pulled away. "I-I can't! I'm sorry Rumble." Scootaloo ran down the hall way and the school bell rang.
Rumble stood their as the hall way filled with people. "Flash give me a beat."
He sighed as he made his way to class. "Scoot looks at me, I fake a smile so she won't see. That I want and I'm needing everything that we should be. I'll bet he's really cool, that guy she talks about, and he's got everything that I have to live without. Scoot talks to me, I laugh 'cause it's just so funny. That I can't even see anyone when she's with me. She says she's so in love, she's finally got it right, I wonder if she knows she's all I think about at night. She's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar. The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star. She's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do. Don't know why I do."
In a dark room Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom watched them. "Perfect, now Button Mash is mine and Rumble is all yours." Sweetie Belle grinned.
"Poor Scootaloo. She shoulda took dibs more seriously." Apple Bloom closed her eyes. "Ya all mine now, Rumble." She looked at Sweetie Belle who was stuffing her face. "Is that mah watermelon?!"
