Harmony in the Blade

I was walking down a path in the middle of this forest. It looked wild and untamed. But it wasn't something i'd freak out about. I knew this forest. It was easy to guess anyways. It was called the 'EverFree Forest'. If one stayed camping in the middle of it they'd know why it was called that. 'Ever' stood out for the word 'Forever' and the word 'Free' meant... free. Not free from the shop but free to grow. 'ForeverFree Forest' was its original name but as time went on i guess ponies prefered to call it the 'EverFree Forest'.

But anyways. By now you're all wondering who i am? I am Princess Harmony. Yes Princess.  Princess of the Lengendary kingdom Paradise and the Goddess of Harmony and Balence. Why Blalence too you ask? That's something you'll find out later on.

As I said i was walking down a path.  I then saw a little village, or town. Looked more like a town to me though. I trotted into the small town. As i did i soon spotted a tree with a door and windows and it had a sign that said 'Golden Oaks Library.'

I entered it. When i did a bell rung. When it did a lavender unicorn came in. She had purple eyes and her mane and tail were down and had the colour violet with hot pink strips doing down them.

"Hello. My name is Twilight Sparkle. Welcome to the golden okes library. How can i help you?" She asked happily. My talent allows me to be able to sense is the harmonic balence was off or not or if somepony wasn't in a 'harmonic' mood. The harmonic balence is a balence between good and evil... light and dark... whatever bursts your bubble.

"Oh hello. Terribly sorry to interupt.I'm new here and i was just looking around-exploring- and i came upon your library." I replied offering a smile. She happily took.

"Oh so you're new? Don't worry you are not interrupting anything honestly... I see you're a unicorn too... oh sorry i forgot... what's your name?" Twilight asked me.

"My... my name... my name is Harmony." I replied with a smile.

"What an interisting name... but it's nice to meet you Harmony. Do you need a tour around Ponyville?" Twilight offered me.

"Oh yes please. If it's not too much to ask for... I would just simply love a small tour."  I replied with a smile and a nod. We were both on our tour. My new friend Twilight showed me most of the places. Sugarcube corner. apple farm owned by the apple family. The animal adoption center... and a whole lot more. She also showed some of her pony friends. We both walked back tot he library and settled down for a few seconds.

"Perfect... now i have to check out this spell the princess sent me... its seems IMPOSSIBLE to do." Twilight exclaimed. I just chuckled.

"Mind if i see it?" I asked politely. Twilight nodded and fetched the scroll that contained the complex spell. I read it with a smile growing on my face.

"Complex huh?" Twilight asked with a sigh.

"Not really... no. It's mainly the teleporting spell but you must teleport things to you and not you to the place to get the things." I explained to Twilight.

"How on earth do you do that?" Exclaimed Twilight. I then teleported a pen a paper and gave it to her.

"You do it like that. You call your object with your magic. Keep the object in your head and then flow your magic through your body. Next thing you know that very thing should be there." I explained to Twilight. Her mouth was wide open when i explained it. I just chuckled a little.

"How do you know? That's like... top leaval magic." She exclaimed throwing her front arms in the air.

"Yes i know... You should try it. It's easier than it seems." I said with a smile.

"I'm going to write to the princess now... excuse me... oh and please make yourself comfortable..." Twilight excused herself. I sat down on the couch. just going into some random thinking. after some time i came out of my deep thinking and looked down at my neck. Twilight hadn't noticed but i was wearning a golden heart necklace.. It has a golden chain and the heart was a locket. I opened it reveiling a picture of me and my mother. It was in colour. I was a filly in that phtoto. My mother was like me but she had blue eyes. I had my fathers eyes... but a pink that looked like red. I smiled. I love my mother more than i can say... i can't even put it into words... i never really was good at addmitting my thoughts to ponies.

"I miss you so much mom..." I whispered. Twilight then entered the roon with a strange looking dragon.

"Sorry for the wait... but Spike here didn't want to get out of his comic to write a letter and come here to meet you..." Twilight said. Next to her was a baby purple dragon wih a green belly and spikes comeing down from his head to his tail and he has fish like ears.

"Um... hi. I'm Spike... What's your name?" He asked me waving.

"Hello Spike it's nice to meet such a cute dragon. My name Is Harmony." I replied to him offering a smile. He gladly took it giving me a smile of his own. The baby dragon then burped up a scroll and gave me an 'excuse me' and handed the scroll to Twilight. I giggled.

"Oops... sorry..." He said with a faint blush on his cheeks. I just giggled at this.

"Oh. Spike do you want to do some colouring? I've got some crayons and paper with me in my sattlebags." I offered. He nodded eagerly. With my magic i grabbed my bags and flowted them over to us and pulled out some crayons and paper and gave them over to him. He looked at me with a smile.

"Thank you Harmony... what do you think i should draw?" He asked me.

"I don't know... How about... who about you draw some ponies. I know there MUST be more ponies other than Twilight and me you know." I replied to him. He nodded and started to draw out some ponies. I giggled at him. Twilight then put her scroll away and went over to me.

"Sorry about that...Oh the princess is coming over to see us all. She'll be staying for dinner... Oh what am i going to cook?" She asked starting to get worried. I just smiled at her.

"I can cook something. I know a family resipy that you will all just love." I suggested. She looked a little surprised at me.

"are you sure? I don't think you should cook... you are a guest here I don't want tot be rude." She hesitated.

"Oh don't worry. Plus it's the least i can do for you for letting me stay in your guest room." I replied.

"If you want to... But i'm still not sure... want me to help then?" She asked me but i sook my head a reponded...

"No thank you Twilight... but if i want to get this meal done by the princess gets here... i might need to start now." I told her. She sighed and nodded.

"alright... If you say so..." She replied. Spike then came over to us with a smile.

"I did it. I drew out Twilight." He said with a giggle. I saw it and only giggled.

"It's lovely spike... Maybe you should go put it next to your bed. I think it would look lovely if i do say so." I told him. He nodded and ran upstairs. Me and Twilight just giggled.

"He's just so cute like that." She said.

"Yes... you did a lovely job raising him... even though he's just a baby he acts like an adult. I should get started or i'll never get the food finished." I agreed. With that done and said i went to the kitchen and started cooking.

Later that evening...

It was time for the princess to come over to the library. I finished cooking and i let it cool a little. Right now i was sitting next to Spike reading him a story. He seemed so into it.

"and they lived happily ever after. The end... So did you like it" I asked him as soon  as i finished.

"It was awesome. I Think i'm gonna start reading adventure books." He said eagerly. I giggled.

"Go on ahead..." I told him. He nodded and went to see a book on the self about adventures. Twilight then trotted over to me.

"He's... he's looking for a book that's not a comic... How on earth did you do that?" She asked me bewildered that Spike was looking for a book not a comic.

"I read a book i knew he'd like. He seems like the adventure type... so why not read this book to him." I replied. We then had a knock on the door. Twilight trotted over to the door and opened it. It was the princess. We all bowed to her before she came in.

"Princess Celestia. It's lovely to see you again." Twilight said to the princess.

"It has been some time my faithful student." She said in an elegent voice. Giving her student a smile.

"Yes it has... Oh princess this is Harmony my guest and the pony who i told you about." Twilight introduced me to the princess. I gave her one more bow.

"It's lovely to meet you Princess Celestia." I said.

"Lovely to meet you too Harmony... So you must be the pony who did the spell i gave to Twilight... am i right?" She asked me.

"Yes princess... if i'm honest it was very easy..." I replied to her giving her a smile.

"Really? When i first learnt it. It took me time to do it." She told me.

"Must have... Oh excuse me i still have to put the table." I told them, " Spike can you help me put the table... I'll help you find a book later if you want after dinner?"

"Sure I'll help out." He replied. We both then went to the kitchen and startted to put the table leaving the two alone.

"She seems... nice. Though i am wondering how she performed that spell... It's a top leaval magic spell." Celestia said when she thought i was gone.

"I know princess... It's very weird. She explained a way to make it work too." Twilight agreed with her mentor and princess.

"Yes... I might have her come over to the castle and stay for me to know her better..." Celestia said.

"Might be best... Though she's defanatly hiding her cutiemark..." Twilight told her mentor.

"Hiding? Why would she do that?" Celestia asked Twilight.

"No idea princess... it's probably something personal" Twilight suggested. Celestia nodded. I then popped my head throught the door.

"Dinner's ready." I said in a singsong voice. Twilight shrugged to the princess and they both then trotted into the kitchen. We each sat down and started to have dinner. There wasn't much noise at first. But Princess Celestia was the first to break the silence.

"Were on earth did you learn to cook like this Hamony? This tasts just perfect." Celestia asked taking another bite of her food.

"Family things... nothing more..." I replied.

"So... Harmony... do you have a mother and a father?" Twilight asked.

"Umm... a mother. I don't really like to talk about my father... honestly i want to keep it that way. My mother says he was just as evil as King Sombra... not literally though." She replied.

"Why? What happened?" Celestia asked me looking up at me.

"She says he was just abusive and nasty... I have no idea how my mother was able to cope with him." I replied.

"Bless... is your mother alright then?" Twilight asked me.

"Yes... she's Blind so she cant see. But her other senses work better than anypony elses." I replied.

"Yes it's what happens... not very common but it does happen... So are you liking it here in ponyville?" Celestia asked me.

"Oh yes. It's a lovely small town. Very polite ponies if i do say so... and friendly too." I replied. Finishing off my food. The others did so too. I then excused myself and picked up the plates washed and put them away. We were all soon in the living room. I was reading another book to spike seeing how he loved the last one. Twilight and the princess were both catching up.

"It was funny... Pinkie Pie gets totally random things at totally random times." Twilight told the princess.

"Really? How does she do that?" Celestia asked.

"Princess... it's Pinkie Pie... we all stopped asking that some time ago..." Twilight replonded. The two then set into a fit of giggles. I was still reading to Spike... i was in the middle of the book actually.

"The pony then threw his sword around him cutting all the vines around him. He was done when all of a sudden -" I stopped due to Spike yawning. i giggled.

"Sounds great Harmony..." He said yawning once more. I just giggled again.

"I think we have a sleepy baby here... Let's get you to bed... shall we?" I said putting a bookmark on the page.

"aww... But we were just getting to the good parts..." Spike moaned.

"We can read more in the morning... But a baby dragon must have his sleep." I told him. He mumbled some more things under his breath and then i took him up stairs. Twilight and Celestia followed... who does that? I knew they were but i didn't mind i was only putting Spike to bed after-all. I was just tucking Spike into bed when he let out another yawn.

"I don't know if i can sleep..." Spike said snuggling into his pillow. I just chuckled.

"My mother use to sing me a lullaby to help me sleep. If you think that will help i can sing it for you." I suggested. He nodded and with a smile i started to sing the lullaby.

Close your eyes, and rest,

as i sung the Lullaby Spike closed his eyes and fell asleep. It wasn't long until i heard him slightly snoring. I giggled a little bit. Twilight and Celestia went down the stairs when i stepped out of Spikes' and Twilights' room and trotted down stairs.

"Sorry for the wait ponies. But Spike kept on insisting he couldn't sleep... Took time but i got there." I told them with a smile. Celestia just smiled.

"Of course. he is only a baby dragon It's only normal for him to be so energetic." Celestia replied.

"Yes... But anyways i'm sure you have some things to do at the castle before you lower the sun princess... I know i've got some things to do." I told the princess.

"Yes... actually... I was hoping you could come to my castle for some days... so we could got to know each other better." Celestia suggested. To me i knew it meant SOME sort of trouble. but then again it was the princess and i really didn't want to seem rude. So i just replied:

"Of course i would love to come..." Though i looked happy for the offer she had given me...  Inside i was still hesitating. I knew that when the princess called you it was mainly trouble for you. But i smiled giving her the feeling that i was actually happy to come.

"Lovely. We could go now so you should get your bags ready." She told me. I  went to get my things. It wasn't loads of things if i'm honest. It was just my sattlebags. Hairclips and my blanket. Just like you lot know i'm an alicorn. It explains the reasons why i was able to do the spell that Twilight was assigned to do... and the blankets. I don't want other ponies to know that i'm a rare... no wait... extrimely rare type of pony. I liked being treated like normal. Nothing like royalty or somepony who's more important than others. While it would be nice i'm not like that. I don't like being the center of attention. Never was and i will NEVER be one of them. I'm just a normal pony who wants a normal life and i want to be treated normally. Not long after some packing and thinking i was ready and trotted down the stairs . Celestia and Twilight were  chatting while they were waiting for me. The charriot came a few seconds later... Literally. Before i went i went up to Twilight.

"Oh Twilight... I've got a book that i know little Spike is just going to LOVE. So i want him to keep it... here you go." I said to her giving her the book.

"I'm sure he'll love it. Thank you Harmony." Twilight thanked me and i entered the charriot and sat next to the princess. It wan't an extrimly long journey but it wasn't a short one either. We both had  pleasent chat... a small one but it was a nice one. Soon we were at the castle. I wasn't surprised when i saw it. I lived in one. But i didn't want her to know... Though i did try to seem surprised... Never was much of an actor. She showed me to my room and left me to get settled. My room was just as big as the one at home. But in my home it was colourful... really colourful. Once i was done i came out of my room. The sun was just setting and all the guards knew i was staying there... but what could i do? I just sit in my room... watching the sun set. I smile. To me it's a beautiful sight... couldn't see a sight any sweeter and calmer. The moon came up... the moon. It's the best part of the day... when the sun sets. The moon and the stars come out... the twinkling stars... I could seriously stay up all night. I just kept on staring at the stars... I couldn't help it... they were beautful. Each one of the stars were twinkling with their own might and strength... But i could see them all... from the tiny ones to the big ones. I heard some pony behind me so i turned around and found the princess of the night. I bowed my head.

"Good night princess..." I said as i bowed.

"Thou not need to bow... tell me... what is thy name?" She asked me. I looked at her and smiled.

"My name? On my name is Harmony Princess Luna. Your sister invited me to the castle for a few days..." I replied. She smiled a me.

"Oh... my Sister... How come thou are not asleep?" She asked me.

"Umm... I just like the night more than the day... Oh and princess i'm sorry for asking but can you please try not to speak like that? I barely understand." I asked her. The princess giggled at me before giving me  surprised look.

"Oh... sorry... i'm still not use to this type of language... But... how come you don't like the day like most of the other ponies do?" She asked me.

"I just... It's a lot calmer... and i love the stars and the moon. While i like the day yes i love the sunshine... but... I'm not a very day like pony... The day is busy while the night... i could just read a book while you know no pony will come to disturb you." I replied to her. She smiled at me.

"Yes... I love the day me sister brings forward but... i love the night even more." She told me sitting next to me.

"Yes... I just wish i could be more... me in these types of time..." I told her looking out of the window once more.

"What do you mean by that Harmony?" She asked me. I smiled.

"I'll tell you but you must promise me that you wont tell any pony... i mean any pony." I warned her. She promised me she wouldn't tell anypony. I levatated my sattlebags to both of us and took out six gems and layed them out on the bed.

"What are these they look like..." She said trying to remember what looked so similar between them and some things she saw before.

"The elements of harmony... but it' not them... because these aren't in necklaces or crowns." I told her.

"Yes... but what are they?" She asked me.

"These are my own creations... The harmony stones. Couldn't think of other names and they do mostly what the elements do... but they aren't the elements. They each have different names." I explained.

"What are the names of them? Six stones means six names." She told me and asked me. I held up the gems with my magic.

"This green one means nature, violet one means time, Yellow means day, blue means night, Red means order and Pink means balance." I explained.

"What do they do... as in each of them on their own." She asked... wow this one is curious.

"Nature brings back nature lost, Time brings us to the right time and where and it's also great for time traveling, The day puts it back to the day if needed, the night brings back the night if needed, Order brings back well... order to the place and Balance,balances out good and evil." I explained.

"You made them?" Shasked me bewildered.

"No... i give them power... My alicorn ansestors pased them down to me... i've got forever to use them... literally..." I muttered the last but under my breath... but Luna heard.

"What do you mean... literally?" She ased me.

"I prefrer not to say why... i hope you don't mind princess." I told her not wanting ponies to know i'm not a unicorn... but a winged one. But she just sighed and smiled.

"Of course... you should get some rest... i want to see you at breakfast." She told me. I smiled as i put away the Harmony stones.

"I will Princess Luna... Good night." I told her. She nodded.

"Good night." She replied to me and walked out. I was left on my own... again. But soon i fell asleep...

IN THE MORNING...

It was early in the morining when i woke up. I got up and re-freshed myself and putting a new blanket. I seriously don't want anypony to know my cutiemark. I trotted up to the hall way when i remembered... i have NO idea as to where what room is. I might need to ask a pony... seriously? This is why i hate really huge new places... then again it took me like... a year before i knew every piece of my home. I was't looking where i was going and *THUD*. I bumped into a pony.

"Oh excuse me... i didn't see you." Said a voice. She must have been a girl because well... they had a girlish voice. It was a girl...

"No no... it's alright i wasn't looking where i was going..." I said standing up. She was a mare... Pink... with strips of pink purple and yellow in her hair with curls at the botton hagging loosly.  I giggled and helped her up.

"I really have to stop day dreaming..." She said with a giggle.

"I think that's both of us..." I agreed with another giggle.

"Hey i'm princess Cadence... who are you? I don't think i've seen you here in the castle." She introduced.

"I'm Harmony... It's lovely to meet you Princess Cadence... say... do you know where the dinner hall is? i don't think Princess Celestia showed me around that well." I asked with a slight giggle.

"Yes. I was on my way there now. Would you like to join me?" She asked.

"Oh yes. That would be lovely." So we both went on our way. We had a nice chat on our way. Got to know each other.Friends and family... blah blah. But the surprise came when she asked me something.

"So... are you in a relationship yet?" She asked me.

"Umm... No... not really. I'm too busy back at home with my mother... you know... since she's blind i have to help her... but she knows her way round so i went and did a little bit of exploring." I replied

"Oh yes... Things do tend to be in a way... I should know." She told me with a giggle.

"Yes... the thing is... my mother doesn't trust boys as much as she does with girls."

"Really? How come?" She asked me. I sighed.

"My father... he was pretty abusive with her... Hitting and doing more things with her... My father expected a boy when my mother said she was having a foal... but no... i came along. Things just got even more bad then. He hated me... so much that he hit me too... My mother stood him up and left... it's what she told me... Never knew him if i'm honest. But he probably did hit me because i grew up with some brewses... but they're gone now." i explained.

"I feel so sorry for you and your mother... Who would do that? I know my husband would never hit me... we haven't even argued anymore than like... three or four times. What stallion would do that?" She asked me shocked at what i told her.

"I know... but i'm happy with only me and her... when time comes... I'll fall in love. But for now... i'm happy with just me and my mother. both of us... at home. Walking around... Enjoying the sunshine and the stars... It's perfect." I said with a sigh. She smiled at me.

"It does sound lovely... But aren't you scared that will happen to you too?" She asked me.

"No... i'm stronger than i look... Never dated because of that too. plus i'm not going to let  a stallion tell me what to do and threaten me." I said firmly.

"Yes... Oh were're here." She said opening the doors. Inside was Princess Celestia. Princess Luna and a white unicorn colt with dull yellow hair sitting waiting.

"There they are." Said Celestia with a smile. We both giggled.

"Sorry to keep you three waiting." I said with a giggle.

"We all just got here anyways so..." Luna said with a smile.  Both me and Cadence sat down. I sat right next to her while she sat next to the white unicorn colt. I just stared into space for two seconds. It wasn't noisy... until Princess Celestia broke the silence.

"So... Did you sleep well Harmony?" She asked me.

"Your name is Harmony... weird name if you ask me..." The unicorn commented.

"Blueblood." Cadence warned.

"Just saying..." This so caled 'Blueblood' said.

"I'm going to ignore that... yes Princess I did." I replied to her.

"Lovely... So are you enjoying your stay?" She asked.

"She should be..." Blueblood commented once again. He recieved a growel from Princess Luna.

"Going to ignore that as well... It's lovely as well Princess... Though it was a good thing i bumped into Cadence or i would have been lost." I replied with a  chuckle. Cadence joined in too.

"Yes this place is so big... I still tend to get a little lost here and there to so i don't expect you to know every piece of this place for a while." Celestia agreed with a chuckle.

"Oh no worries... My home is also pretty big..." I stated.

"Probably as big as a cottage..." Smirked Blueblood.

"Going to ignore that too..." I muttered under my breath biting my lip.

"So... how's your mother? Got any letters lately?" Celestia asked with a smile.

"No... But i hope she's alright... I'm always worring." I replied.

"Why? miss your mommy?" Blueblood teased. Cadence stared at him angrily along with luna and Celestia.

"Sorry... excuse me if you can..." I excused myself running off into the gardens. i was in tears... Why would he say that? How on earth would he be sick enough to say that?

In the dinner room...

"How could you say that Blueblood?" Raged Cadence.

"It's the truth... Don't blame me for it." He said not careing.

"It wasn't you who recieved that comment Blueblood." Celestia told him.

"She's just going to have to get over it now." He replied.

"Her mother went through a lot when she was born... and when she wasn't Blueblood. You can't just comment on that type of things." Cadence raged.

"Cadence calm down." Luna calmed.

"No. Her father abused her and her mother and the poor woman is blind!" Cadence shouted.

"Explains why she was brought up like that then." He stated.

"She was brought up better than you ever were." Cadence said excusing herself from the table. Celestia and Luna glared at him for some time before he said...

"Fine... i'll go say sorry but i won't like it." He said excusing himself too from the table Once he was gone and out of sight.  Luna said...

"I don't think he'll ever respect others Tia..."

I was still running in tears. Right now i didn't care WHERE i was going... i just wanted to get away from everypony. I ran past somepony who looked like the captain of the royal guards. But i didn't care. I just kept on running. I edventually endded up in the gardens. I just sat infront of the pond still in tears. I kept on crying to myself when i heard somepony cough behind me.

"What is it Blueblood..."I asked trying my best not to yell at him.

"I'm... sorr... sorry... for whatever i said back there..." He TRIED to apolagise... i wiped my tears away.

"I-it's alright Blueblood... But... It just hurts a lot... My mother is blind and we were both abused by my father... that's why she means the world to me." I explained as another tears flushed itself down my cheek. He trotted and layed down next to me. We were both silence for some time.

"I never got to introduce myself you know... My name is Prince Blueblood. Nefew of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna... How about you?" He tried again. I knew the Princesses were watching... But those blue eyes caught me in trance for a little bit. I wasn't falling for him... but it wasn't impossible to get lost in someponys' eyes.

"I'm Harmony... My full name is Harmony Harmonic Flower... i like my name. Even though ponies back at school were always teasing me about it... but honestly i never cared... So... Parents?" I replied back to him. He looked down to the ground.

"They... They spoiled me so my aunties took me in... But they soon died of age... The two became my real family but... i guess i never really changed... I don't really need to ask you i guess." He told me. Looking down at the ground.

"But... are you willing to change?" I asked him. This confused him a little bit.

"Could you tell that to me again please?" He asked. I gigged a little bit.

"I said... are you willing to change? You're sweet and charming... but you think about yourself more than other ponies. I'm no expert on love but i know most girls are looking for somepony who's kind and not... selfcentered. No offence but i only want the best for ponies... not the worst." I replied to him with a gentil smile. He smiled back in return.

"Hmm... Yes... Yes i am willing to change my selfish ways to help other ponies. How on earth am i going to do that though?" He asked looking up at me.

" Helping others is a way of starting... and you don't need to think that you're alone on this. I'm here with you and i plan to stay with you no matter how bad you do." I replied to him giving him a smile.

"How on earth is is possible that you're not taken yet?" He asked me. I blushed and giggled at him for this.

"You tell me that... I've always got compatition for me but i never honestly truly felt like i was the dating type. I don't even wear make-up mind you and yet... boys STILL like me..." I replied.

"I guess... But i'm sure the lucky stallion will come one day... Until then we both have to wait and see." He told me with a chuckle.

"Yes i guess... But for now i'm happy with you as my best friend... that is... if you accept." I told him with a smile. He smiled back at me.

"I'll accept Harmony..." He replied. Both of ud then stayed there for some minuits just enjoying eachothers' company. I honestly didn't care i[/spoiler][spoiler]f the princesses were watching me and Blueblood... I just really didn't care...
