It was ruled by their leader by the name of princess Celestia, her job was to raise the sun and moon for if we did not have these there will be no light to shine on the crops and there will be no darkness to help those dream of love which was important to those since it had died out years ago. it helped make ponies in an unloved world life's happy and boy was this a time to be happy since The princess's sister has returned to sit by her sister to help rule over the ponies of Equestria, Her name was Luna and she used to be The princess of the moon but when the darkness overcame her she had to be sent to the moon for 1000 years but now the darkness in her heart has left and she has taken over dutys of the moon once again which will make Celestia's job much easier. In celebration of her sisters return Celestia decided to have one of the biggest Summer sun celebration the ponies have ever had so Celestia went to oversee the preparations for the occasion but on her way she found her sister wandering the halls of the castle. "Luna what are you doing?" Questioned Celestia when she found her sister. "Oh nothing, I was just on my way to see the preparations for celebrations" Said Luna in a rather excited way. "oh so am I! come with me Luna we shall oversee them together" Luna trotted up to her sister and began to walk with her sister, Celestia decided to converse with her "I'm so happy the day is so close yet so far since these four days will pass rather slowly" Celestia frowned a little when she said this. "don't be sad my dear sister, In my opinion I think it will pass rather quickly since four days will turn into four nights and since we sleep at night, time will pass by quicker" Luna said this smiling which made Celestia smile too. Luna and Celestia made it to the where the Celebration was taking place. They looked around and found that everything was just right and that it would make the day as special as it should be. "Luna I can honestly say this will be one of the best Summer Sun celebrations the ponies will ever have" The Two princess's smiled until a guard taped Celestia on the shoulder. "You are requested in the throne room your majesty" said the guard rather quickly and seriously. "Oh um okay" Celestia turned to Luna "I will be back in a bit" Luna understood and went to keep overlooking the preparations while Celestia went to the throne room for her attention was needed. She trotted up to the throne room door not expecting what or who would be in there, She opened the door to find an enraged Shining armour who was head of guard in the castle with him was his younger sister by the name of Lady Twilight who was a unicorn and had amazing magic, accompanying them were two stallions by the names of Fancy pants who was considered the most important pony in all of Canterlot and The simple guard by the name of Flash sentry who was a lost pegasi that was kicked out the pegasi castle Cloudsdale at such a young age. Celestia went to to sit at her throne. "your majesty, I'm glad you can join us" said shining armour trying not to lose his cool. "indeed, What is the problem?" Questioned the princess and Shining armour began to speak. "I am here full of anger to complain about my dear sister Twilight" he pointed his hoof at Twilight making her scared "Since Fancy pants is one of the important ponies I thought he would be perfect to wed my sister but instead" he then pointed his hoof at Flash sentry "Even though this stallion is a pegasis he has cast a spell of love over my sister's heart by giving her poems, singing fake songs of love by her window at night filling her heart with not only love but stubbornness and harshness against her brother so it is my duty as her brother and guardian to come to you since by Canterlot law if she doesn't marry the colt I've chosen for her, she has to be punished" Shining armour finished his complaint making Twilight frown from what she has heard. "well Twilight? you know the rules, If you don't marry the colt your brother has chosen for you then you may have to face the consequences and in my opinion I think your brother has chosen a lovely colt" Celestia explained "but so is my Flash Sentry your majesty" Protested Twilight. "I know but its your brother's decision, not mine or yours" Said the princess which made Twilight frown making Celestia upset but she had to do her job. "If I may speak freely your majesty, what will happen if I do not marry Fancy pants?" questioned The Lady Twilight hoping it won't be so bad. "You will be sent to a dungeon in the everfree forest to spend the rest of your life never to see another colt again, So choose wisely Lady Twilight for it may change everything" Twilight spoke proudly with her head held high "I would rather have that faith than be married to somepony I don't love" Celestia was taken aback by this statement and spoke "Please Twilight, have some time to think this over. On the day of the summer sun celebration after the festivities are over you shall come to me and tell me the faith you wish to take. Fancy pants joined in on the conversation "Twilight my dear, I do believe its best if you just marry me because you will actually have a life if you do" "Oh shut up fancy! you do realise she doesn't love you and only her brother loves you, oh heres an idea! why don't you marry him and let me and Twilight be together in peace" said Flash Sentry proudly which made Fancy pants quite mad. "I will destroy you right here and now if I have to pest!" He grabbed Flash Sentry by the collar but before he could swing his hoof flash sentry hit in the face, brushing his hoof from his collar away "rude! come here you ruffian" he was about to swing again but he was pulled away from him with Celestia's magic. "ENOUGH!" her voice went booming throughout the throne room and all around the castle which made the people preparing the celebration worry, Luna decided to go to the throne room to see what the fuss was about. "please do not fight in front of the princess if you don't mind" Shining armour made it seem like he was talking to both of them but he was staring Flash sentry right in the face . Flash sentry regained himself and trotted up to the princess and spoke to her "your majesty I am as noble as he is and me and Twilight both love each other very much so why shouldn't I marry her? and might I add that this pony courted the fair Lady Rarity and made her fall deeply in love with him but now he is avoiding her at all costs which isn't right at all!"  he finished his statement which made Shining armour turn heads. "I must admit I've heard the rumours around the city but there's no more I can do, the decision is final" explained Celestia and then she turned her head to Shining armour and Fancy pants. "Now then I want you two to go to the meeting room so we may discuss the celebration and what shall be needed from you at the festival" she then noticed her sister standing in the doorway "I will be with you two shortly, I must also discuss a couple things with my sister" everyone nodded leaving only Flash sentry and Twilight in the room. Twilight began to cry and flash noticed this and ran over to her. "Its going to be okay my sweet, we will figure this out" "no we wont! I will get sent down to the dungeon for the rest of my life and you won't be allowed go home to Cloudsdale since they won't allow you in since they kicked you out" Twilight didn't want to go into too much detail about his past. "Not true at all! I have an old friend who is a Travelling magician who passes through Canterlot time to time and if we tell her we want to leave Canterlot, she will do so since she brought me here to start a new life when she found me in the wood all alone and she said if I wanted to leave here she said go back to the wood where she found me and she will most likely pass through since its one of the routes she takes when travelling from town to town, from there she will take us outside of Canterlot and then the Canterlot law of marring who your guardian chooses for you wont affect us so we can get married" This statement made Twilight smile which made Flash sentry smile too. "This is amazing! I shall meet you there tomorrow night and we will find The magician so we can leave this unloved town and get married to have a happy life together" Twilight then wondered "but...will she pass through now?" "she should, I overheard that she will be attending The Summer sun celebration and she always comes two days before the ceremony just in case she has to go back suddenly" He explained making Twilight beam with joy for she had the chance to spend the rest of her life with the colt of her dreams. When Celestia exited the throne room she found her sister tearing up a little which made her worry for what may have caused her to lose her smile "sister, what's wrong?" said Celestia genuinely worried. "Your going to trap an innocent young mare like her in the dungeon just because she doesn't want to be with the colt her brother has chosen for her to marry?" Questioned Luna and Celestia was speechless as to what to say next. "well uh....its the law..." Celestia was cut short when her sister began shouting. "THE LAW!?!?! IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY!?!?" Luna realised she had frightened her sister a little and had backed away a small bit so toned it down a bit so her sister would regain herself "why did you make this law and can you change it?" "it happened about 200 or 300 years ago when you were not here, the people didn't like how their children chose ponies to wed they didn't like so they begged of me to change that and make a law but I wasn't sure so I did a vote to see what the majority wanted most" she explained. "and...?" Luna waited for Celestia to answer. "84% wanted the law so I had no choice and I changed it" she noticed her sister tearing up more and comforted her "I agree too sister it shouldn't be like this but if its to make our citizens happy then we no choice, I hope you understand?" Luna looked her straight in the eyes with tears still in her eyes. "I understand" Luna said wiping away her tears. "I'm glad you understand now if you don't mind I have some business to attend to in the meeting room" She waved her sister goodbye and Luna walked away. "Its not right, its just not..." Luna mumbled this as she and her sister walked away. Twilight and Flash Sentry then exited the castle to find lady rarity calling out Fancy pants's name who was in the meeting room at the time. "Fancy pants! Fancy pants! FANCY PANTS! Rarity shouted and shouted but on the third time she shouted Fancy pants heard her and went to the balcony but when he realised who was calling him he went back inside and closed the doors behind him which made her sad and trot off. Twilight felt bad so she decided to call her friend over. "Fair Rarity! where are you going?" Twilight shouted and Rarity turned to her suddenly. "Did you just call me fair? as I recall my dear you are the fair one here having the good looks, charm and Sir Fancy pants" "what are talking about? I have none of those things and Fancy pants just wants to marry me but I refused since I do not feel for him the same I do for Flash sentry" "oh but dear hes the most important pony in all of Canterlot! I would love for him to be mine but I guess I can't have everything" said Rarity getting upset, she has always loved him from when she would attend the Canterlot elite party to him talking and laughing with him till the day ends, When he asked her to be his special somepony she couldn't resist so she said yes but when she overheard him talking with Twilights brother the next day it made her mad but sad at the same time, He said he wanted to wed her best friend and Shining armour agreed immediately, This felt like she was just stabbed in the heart and left to rot on the ground. "I'm so sorry Rarity, If it makes you feel better I feel nothing for him except hatred" "I know dear, I just wish he will look through my eyes for once and fall for me once more" Explained Rarity. Flash spoke to Rarity "You might have a chance because me and Twilight are leaving Canterlot tomorrow night to marry and live a new life and not be bothered about this Canterlot law of not marrying for love" Flash sentry explained and Rarity listened closely. "we will be meeting in the wood near the city so we can see Flash sentry's old friend so she may help us escape"  Finished Twilight. "Awh!" Rarity found this adorable and wished she could do the same with Fancy pants. "If we are to never see each other again dear friend, never forget me and the friendship we had" Twilight gave her friend a hug which put a smile on Rarity's face which has not happened in a while. "I will never, I wouldn't" she released her hug from her friend and turned her attention to Flash sentry. "thank you for being Twilight's friend and we hope you find love and happiness with Fancy pants but also don't tell anyone about our plans, it has to be a secret" Rarity understood and nodded and gave Flash sentry a small hug. "goodbye old friend" Rarity then found herself alone so she took the time to think of how she will win Fancy Pants's heart. "so how shall I do it? he doesn't really care of what I look like since last week I had on this beautiful gown on and everyone found it beautiful except him, so how?" Rarity though hard but she couldn't think of anything and then she started thinking about Twilight and what she would do. "well she is beautiful for starters but most people think I'm more beautiful so I don't think there any point in changing how I look" she thought again on what he wants "The thing he mostly wants is Twilight but I can't get Twilight to go to him because she doesn't like him and....." she then got an idea! "what I could do is I can tell Fancy pants That Twilight is going to meet Flash Sentry in the wood and....yes YES YES!!! this is good!!" Rarity liked this idea very much so she trotted off to go find Fancy pants. She knew if she did this plan she may lose her friend but she would do anything for fancy pants.
