My Icy Rescuer

"Let her go, Sentry. She's not yours." Someone said.

Flash looks behind him to see Arctic Ice gripping his shoulder tight, his light-blue eyes turned red for a few seconds. Twilight was the only one who noticed this.

Suddenly, Flash pulled out a knife and tried to wound Arctic, but he, fortunately, didn't. As Arctic backs away. There was a crowd of students and teachers starting to gather around them. Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna also looked and joined in.

Rainbow Dash pushed Arctic back into the crowd and tried to punch Flash but Flash quickly pointed the knife at her.

"Come closer and nothing good will happen to her!" Flash said. Rainbow slowly backs away, anger embedded in her eyes.

"Flash Sentry, stop this madness immediately!" Vice-Principal Luna said, getting closer. Flash then pointed the knife once more to Twilight's neck.

"I said get BACK!" He orders. The Vice-Principal raised her hands and backed off.

"This will only end well if you say 'yes, my love.' " Flash whispered in Twilight's ear.

"No, I won't say it... ever," Twilight said, which angered Flash more.

"Fine. Your fate has been sealed." Flash said as he raised the knife.

Twilight tried to close her eyes and waited for the blow, but she couldn't. She tried to look for Arctic in the crowd but was nowhere to be seen. She tried to escape once more from his grasp, but it failed. She couldn't escape. And this time, no one could save her. But what could she do? Flash is about to stab her, so why not accept it? Fearful of her life, tears fell from Twilight's cheeks.

Suddenly, someone emerged from the crowd. It went all so fast and also … cold? That someone grabbed Flash's wrist and twisted it, forcing Flash to let go of the knife. Then, he or she planted his or her elbow into Flash's ribcage forcing him to release Twilight. Next, that someone pushed her deep into the crowd, almost at the end. Twilight tried to see who was her savior but failed due to the crowd pushing her back even more. Finally, she heard a thud on the ground coming from a body and a voice that sounds familiar to her ears.

"Your father is the number 1 policeman in his department. He would be ashamed of you once he found out about this." Her savior said coldly to the defeated Flash.

It was Arctic Ice.

"He saved me yet again. Why?" Twilight asked herself as fear melted away from her face.

The crowd then started to disperse as Twilight sees Arctic dragging Flash by the collar of his jacket to Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna, unceremoniously throwing him at her feet.

"Here you go, Principal Celestia. I apologize for being so aggressive but there was a life at stake." Before Principal Celestia could say anything Arctic already left. The remaining crowd was confused. They were glad that Twilight was safe, but the fact that Arctic Ice, the loner of the school, was the only one brave enough to save her was still hard for them to believe.

"Twilight!" She hears her name called by Rarity as she hugged her. Twilight stared at Arctic as he continued to look around for his locker. It seems that he forgot something for his first period. Twilight felt then her heartbeat increasing. Not because of the fear she just experienced, but because she was looking at the boy. Arctic finally found what he was looking for and immediately took it and closed his locker. Afterward, he walks away from the staring crowd. He noticed that the other students were still looking at him.

"Will you all stop looking at me? I did what I had to do. So beat it!" He said in a serious tone and continued his way to his classroom.

Twilight then escaped Rarity's hug and runs after him.

"Arctic, wait!" She cried.

Arctic looks back at her and walks slower, allowing Twilight to catch up.

She grabs him in a very tight hug. Arctic did not move.

Thank you! Thank you so much!" She said, looking up at him, who didn't give her a glance. "For both times that you saved me." She released him and starts playing with her hair a bit for what she was about to ask him next. "My parents and I would like to invite you for dinner at our house so they can thank you properly for what you did for me."

"No need Twilight. Now get to class before you're too late." He said in a cold tone, figuratively and literally. Twilight even shivers at the tone he used.

"Can I at least ask you something?" She asked.

"Shoot." He said.

"Why did you save me?" She asked.

Arctic stops in his tracks. Twilight looks at his stony expression, trying to find any hint of emotion in his face.

"Because It was the right thing to do." He said as he starts to walk away.

"What about the first time?" She then asks.

He groans. "What do you think?" All those questions were starting to annoy him, finally looking at her. Twilight then got the answer by herself and blushed in embarrassment.

"Nitwit," Arctic mutters as he shook his head.

Twilight sighs. "There must be some way to make him show emotion." She thought.

"Twilight!" Someone yells at her. It was Rainbow Dash and Pinkie. "Twilight, we were so worried about you," Rainbow said. "I tried to help you, but Arctic beat me to it. By the way-" She was cut off by Arctic.

"Not true." He mutters loud enough for them to hear.

"What did you say their Ice cube?" Rainbow Dash asked angrily clenching her teeth.

Arctic rolls his eyes. "You heard me! What you said isn't true. You pushed me into the crowd. You tried to rescue her, but you were afraid of what will happen to yourself." Arctic said as he confronted the rainbow haired girl with the truth. "You are now 20% less cool in my books Dash."

"Why you..." Rainbow Dash tried to punch Arctic, but he quickly blocked it with his lower arm. As her fist contacted with his arm, the three heard a short, sickening crack from his arm. The three expected a painful shriek from Arctic, but instead, he sighed in disappointment.

"A broken arm, thanks a lot, Miss Loyalty! Let's hope we don't have another encounter like this." He said as he starts his way to a new destination: The nurse's office. Rainbow was flabbergasted at what Arctic said. She expected him to scream of the pain she caused him. but instead, he shrugged it off like it was nothing.

"Rainbow, why did you have to do that? There was no reason for being so aggressive towards him!" Twilight said.

"No reason?! He insulted me, Twilight!" She said in her defense.

Twilight scoffs at her answer. "First: it was sarcasm and second: Stop being so prideful! It will get you nowhere if you keep on doing things like this."

Rainbow Dash was surprised at Twilight's behavior. She looked at her, who was giving her an angry glare. Rainbow hung her head in shame. She knew she screwed up.
