Now, How Did This Happen?
Sweetie Belle looked carefully at the book that Twilight had let her borrow.
“Okay…Now if I put the ruby here…”
Sweetie placed a sparkling red ruby onto the center of a drawing of a star, then looked back at the book.
“Now I need a diamond…”
She pawed through a bag of gems that she had “borrowed” from her sister, and brought out a diamond that was about the size of her ear.
“Yeesh.” she said, adding it to the star. “Where does Rarity get all this stuff?”
Her eyes returned to the book.
“Alright…amethyst to top each point of the star”
She dug through the bag again, but found only one amethyst.
She bit her lip, then set in on the table. After mustering up enough courage, she smashed the amethyst underneath her hoof.
She winced with pain and looked at her hoof. There was a slight cut, with blood trickling down it.
After cleaning the cut and bandaging it, she gathered the biggest pieces of the broken amethyst and put them on the tips of the star.
She waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Sweetie frowned.
“Huh. Nothing’s happening. I thought for sure that…”
Just then, the center of the star shone with a bright light that sucked Sweetie in. She felt herself twisting and turning, but she was blinded by the light.
And then it stopped. She opened her eyes, and found herself lying on a grassy field in front of a bulging kingdom. That had a delicious scent coming from it.
“Ooooo!” she said, trotting over the bridge. The huge yellow things that were there blocked her with their spears.
She frowned, then used her developing magic to shove them both down into the brown water. Then, as quick as she could, she ran across and into the tasty-smelling metropolis.
Everywhere she turned, she could smell something good, but couldn’t tell exactly where it was coming from.
She slowly walked over to the side of a house.
“This can’t be…” she said, before taking a huge bite out of the exterior wall. Her eyes widened. “No. WAY!!!” she squealed with delight. After eating a few more things, she came to the best possible conclusion ever: This kingdom was made entirely out of candy.
“Why, hello there!” someone said from behind. Sweetie turned. “I don’t mean to bother you, ma’am, but my name is Starchy, and-”
He didn’t finish. Sweetie had just swallowed him whole, after choking and hacking for about eleven minutes.
“Even the PEOPLE are made of candy!”
After eating five more candy people, she found herself in front of a gigantic candy castle.
She laughed maniacally, then barged into the palace.

“Um, your highness?”
A pink girl turned around from her desk.
“What is it, Peppermint Butler?”
“There appears to be an unknown creature terrorizing the entire kingdom.”
The princess dismissed this with a wave of her hand. “Don’t bother me about this. Call Finn and Jake.”
The peppermint boy saluted the princess.
“Will do, Princess Bubblegum.”

Sweetie was now wandering around town, because she had eaten two of the strange yellow guards and tons more of them had come and flushed her out of the castle.
She had just eaten her twelfth candy person when she was greeted by two new people.
The taller one spoke:
“We are Finn and Jake, the heros of the country of Ooo. We will now destroy you.”
And with a gigantic gulp, she ate them both.
“Blech.” she said, making a face. “That was NOT candy.”
But she shook it off and skipped merrily through town, eating whoever she pleased.

“Princess?” the peppermint man said.
Princess Bubblegum turned around in her desk chair once more, and met his gaze with an annoyed look.
“What is it, Pepper?”
Peppermint Butler wringed his hands. “The creature has eaten Finn and Jake.”
The pink girl did an invisible spit take.
“WHAT?!” she yelled with disbelief.
He cringed. “The creature has eaten-”
She leapt up and shoved him out of the doorway.
“I heard ya, I heard ya.” she said distractedly.

Sweetie lay on the candy ground, rubbing her swollen belly.
“Ugh.” She said, turning to her side. “This was probably a really bad idea.”
She tried to sit up when a pink figure approached her, but her belly told her to sit still.
“What do you think you’re doing?” the pink person asked sassily. “You can’t go around eating my kingdom.”
Sweetie looked up at the pink person’s face. “What do you mean you’re kingdom? Are you a princess?”
The pink girl nodded. “I’m Princess Bubblegum of the Candy Kingdom.”
Sweetie shook her head. “You can’t be a princess. Princess have super long horns in the middle of their heads, and they have super big wings.”
The princess kneeled down in front of her. “Where are you from, young one?”
Sweetie burped rather loudly, then said, “I’m from Equestria. We’re all ponies there. And there’s unicorns and pegasi and earth ponies and alicorns, which are the princesses because they have horns and wings.”
Sweetie burped again, then vomited all over Princess Bubblegum’s feet.
The princess took a step back.
“Eeew.”
Sweetie jumped to her feet and patted her belly. “Good thing I feel better now!” she said happily.
Then she leapt forward and ate Princess Bubblegum.

When the citizens of Candy Kingdom found that their beloved ruler was dead, they all mourned greatly. Eventually, they got over it, and picked a new leader, who was none other than Sweetie Belle herself.
The unicorn was greatly flattered, and the candy people granted her the loveliest pair of wings, due to the customs of her old country, and they decked her out in jewels and the best velvet dresses. Atop her head, the placed a crown with an emerald jewels. She did get her cutie mark, which was an image of the very tiara she wore on her royal head. She grew to be a great and powerful mare who was wise upon her years. Her hair flowed about like Celestia’s, and she getting to be as tall as her too.
Back in Equestria, her friends missed her greatly. They had found the portal in which she had gone to the magnificent country through, but it had been damaged. They tried to open a new one, but it worked merely as a doorway. They were still teased by Diamond Tiara, but not until that day they found a letter on their doorstep. Inside was a recent photo of Sweetie Belle, who was sitting on her throne in the candy castle. She was almost as tall as Celestia, and her hair was just as long, which now had many other colors running through it.
When they showed the picture to Tiara, her jaw dropped open.
“Is that…”
Apple Bloom nodded.
“Yes.”
