CHAPTER I: Visions

CHAPTER ONE: IT WAS SO LONG AGO, BUT I REMEMBER IT SO VIVIDLY.

6 Months after the banishment

It was nothing but routine to her by now, the white alicorn would go outside, lower the moon and raise the sun. She would then go to her room and mess up her bed, just so she could make her sister's bed. Two guards with grey coats, blue armor and bat-like wings stand at the door of her room to take care of the younger one’s room for all eternity.

“Tomorrow is going to be brilliant.” the white alicorn mumbled to the empty bed.

“We...I mean, I am going to have a nice stroll through your gardens, lay flowers at your effigy and then I’m going to light candles and drink tea next to it.” The white alicorn giggled.

“She’s going crazy.” one guards said to the other.

“Indeed” the other replied, “but she is not our concern, she has her own guards.”

The white alicorn stood up and exited the room, tears almost streaming from her eyes. Not turning to look at them, she spoke to the guards.

“Take care of her until dawn, you can go home then.” she says to them, quietly.

“Yes, your majesty” they both reply.

The white alicorn walks down the hallway to her room, along the walls are painting of her and her sister, Luna.

She stops at her bedroom door and smiles at the guards.

Giggles softly echo through the halls of the castle, making the white alicorn spring to life. Her horn illuminates with golden magic.

“Who’s there?!” she yells, but there is no response, her golden magic dissipates into smoke.

“You’re losing it Celestia, pull yourself together, she’s gone.” She gives a nod to the guards that stand at her door before she opens the door to her room. As she walks in, she sees visions of herself and her sister playing back when they were fillies.

The visions giggle as they run around the room before they disappear.

She lets out a sigh before entering her room. Inside there is a large fire place, above it a clock, a queen size bed, a table with an ink pot, a quill and a small stack of parchment, next to her bed is a small bookcase. She looks out her bedroom window at the moon, a tear streams down her face. “Oh…Luna, I’m so, so sorry.”

She takes off her crown, necklace and shoes, putting her shoes in a footlocker, but her crown and necklace go onto a bust of herself, she lays herself down on the bed, resting her head on the soft pink pillow, burying her body under her purple and yellow blankets.

Her eyes open faster than a hawk flying with the northern winds, she finds herself floating in a dark pink void. She can feel her heart beating faster than a herd of stampeding buffalo, she is stressed. “Guards!” she yells, but no response.

A soft voice echoes “It’s okay, stop stressing, the pain will be over soon.” the voice says.

“Who are you?!” the white alicorn yelled. An explosion of blue flames and black smoke bursts in front of her, the white alicorn coughs violently. After the smoke and flares die down, she sees that standing in front of her is Nightmare Moon.

“Sister!” says the white alicorn as she flies towards her, “I’m so sorry!”

The black one says in an angry voice, “You are not my sister.”

The white one’s eyes fill with tears. “Luna-”

The black one pounces and grabs the white one around the throat with magic, strangling her.

“Do not call me that name!” the black one says angrily “You banished me and you will suffer for it!” she adds before snapping the white one’s neck.

She jolts out her sleep. Jumping out of her bed, she places a hoof on her neck; there is no damage. “It was…a dream. A nightmare.” she thinks to herself. Her eyes drift over to the clock, it’s around eight AM. Her eyes drift to the window, and she notices the moon is still out.

She waits there, standing and holding an expressionless face for a few seconds, “Shit!” she says to herself, then sighs.

She turns and opens her bedroom door. Like before, two guards, one either side of her door. “I will return” she says, but she didn’t need to, she was just hoping for some verbal interaction.

She stands waiting for a response, they both continue to look straight forward, The white alicorn sighs quietly before walking down the hall to go outside for her stroll, once again having to pass what are just memories of her sister’s past life before she went away.

Voices echo through the long corridors.

“This way Tia, come on!” one says, the white alicorn stops as tears come to her eyes, as this voice sounds like her younger sister when she was a young foal.

“Oh, Luna...” she softly says to herself, she tries to hold back tears that seemed she had been holding back for weeks. Her eyes turn red, as her salty tears slowly drip down her face.

She wipes the away and continues to walk, she stops at two large doors that lead outside. The doors glow golden with her magic and she walks outside to a open field. She looks up at the moon; her eyes close and her horn glows with golden magic and the moon glows brightly before it  lowers and the sun rises.

A sharp pain shoots out of her heart faster than a cannonball from a cannon, her eyes widen and her pupils shrink, her softly beating heart stops and her lifeless body falls to the ground.
