The cabin she was looking or was far off the woods; a private area where nopony went. The pegasis pony trotted up to the front door, and immediatlely saw the broken down door, the spiderwebs, everything, was a complete mess. But either way, she knew this was the place, so she knocked on the door.
"scootaloo? you in here?" the pony waited a few secconds before a young mare answered her.
"who are you? what do you want?" her mane was red, and her fur was bleached orange.
The pegasis bowed her head, "I am rainbowdash, scootaloo wanted me to come." she looked up at the dirty old unicorn again and found a frown on her dried up face. her words came out as a knot as she said, "Rainbowdash, eh? alright. come in," she opened the door wide for rainbowdash to enter the cabin. The floor was dirty, there were holes in the roof of the small cabin, and there was a table with two chairs, and the microwave was brown with a light flickering, '3:02 Pm', Rainowdash tried not to breathe the foul air the cabin gave.
"scootaloo should be here somewhere," the mare said. "and by the way, call me lillydaze." Rainbowdash nodded, and trotted to the next room.
This room was even worse.
I'm not gonna say it, but it was.
I found scootaloo by her father, or it seemed to look like her father, But she looked scared.
Something trickled down her face, but she quickly covered it.
I looked at her like she was an alien. Was that blood?
"Uhm, scootaloo, did you need me?"
I peered at her dad. There was blood on his hooves!
Scootaloo nodded at me, then beckoned me to follow her, of course i did, i was scared out of my wits as i saw her father looking at me with his icy cold red eyes. I got out of there as fast as i could.
Outside was a relief.
Scootaloo bounded through the trees, "Come on rainbowdash!"
I never liked the kid, i never knew why, but i just didn't. But, i followed her anyways, celestia knows why.
I cleared my throught, "uh, scootaloo," i said as i
chased after her in the everfree forest. "Hey! don't go in there!" scootaloo stopped in her tracks.
Good, she knows im the adult.
scootaloo looked into my eyes for a moment. A glint of sadness came from her, and then i realized her eye was still bleeding.
"did your father buck you in the face?" I asked without a hesitation.
Scootaloo's eyes widened and started wiping the cut with her dirty hooves.
That can't be healthy, it'll get infected, Dumb kid.
Scootaloo stopped and looked at her hooves, covered in blood from the cut.
Tears began flowing down her face.
I suddenly felt pity on her, so without thinking, i said, "Uh, its gonna get infected, do you think you need help washing?" I gulped, what did i just say?
Scootaloo stared at me, and unexpectantly, nodded.
She left a trail of blood as she stood up, "i know a river," she nodded and smiled at me.
I nodded back, not knowing what else to do.

The river felt good on my hooves, but scootaloo grunted in pain.
I came to her and licked the blood off of her face, My mother instincs stuck out of me.
I licked her face until no blood was left, Without a complain from scootaloo.
I still urged to know what happened, so i asked her finally as she shook herself dry.
"are you parents beating you scootaloo?" i asked, i knew it was illegal, but whatelse would be happenening?
scootaloo looked at me and nodded slightly.
"please don't report them to celestia! if they leave me, i'll have no one!" she cried. "I'll be all alone!"
tears flowed down her face.
"..scoot, you are too young for this. It's not good for you. it isnt a real filly's life. Please listen to me, scoot!"
I panicked. My friends sisters friend is getting beaten by her parents.
I searched her body for other scars and bruises, i found cuts by her ear, hoof, and back. There were also bruises on her backlegs, Brown and gray splotches on her fur showed ugly and messy. Grief filled my chest, and i heard it explode, it made my heart explode into millions of peices,
a tear flew down my cheek. No child deserved this.
"but uhm.." scootaloo tried her hardest to change the subject, i could tell. "the mare and sister festival is coming tomarrow, i was wondering if you could take me?"
me? why?
"uh, what about applejack?" i asked dumbfounded
scootaloo's head went down. "shes appleblooms sister, she won't go with me."
oh yeah, they all have sisters. i forgot. silly me.
"uh," if she stayed home that night there was more of a chance of an injury. "Yeah, sure kid. i'll be glad to attend." i said
Scootaloos eyes brightened so bright it seemed fireworks were in her eyes.
"Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou.." she hugged me tightly, and i hugged her back. a sudden burst of joy filled me. "no problem, kid."

Twilight was in the middle of studying as I pounded on the door.
"Twilight! open the door!"
The door opened swiftly, right away, i flew inside and crashed into twilight.
"what rainbow?" she yowled at me, "is it that important?"
i nodded swiftly, almost breaking into tears.
Twilights irritated face turned serious as she saw my expression.
"whats wrong, rainbow?" she nooded at spike to leave the room. As soon as i knew he was gone, i spilled it out. Everything.

I waited for scootaloo right by the entrance of the fesival. I hated waiting, but this was important to me somehow.
But eventually, scootaloo came by with a paper in her mouth.
she gave it to me, i read it, and i smiled.
"Thanks, kid." I smiled more, and tucked it away.

I ended up eating food that the cafeteria served, so me and scoot had a picnic under a tree.
Then i bumped into applejack, and no suprise, she was confused.
then we talked more, but it was time to go home.
But, scootaloo clinged to me for life.
"..i dont wanna go!"
It broke my heart when i had to carry her back to her cabin, with her abusive parents.
for some reason, it felt like a crime to do that.

I wake up with sirens filling ponyville. I wake up with a jolt from my bed, and crash out of my cloud-house and look wearily.
Police!
i raced down to the scene hear beating fast.
My ruffled up mane shown i just woke up, but i dont care how i look.
I go to the crowd of ponies, and looked at what was going on.
celestia.
I saw her. She was there.
The beautiful alicorn had scootaloo behind her.
and guess who she was speaking at?
her parents.
"do you know the costs of abusive acts on a filly?"
i couldnt listen. it was too much.
..wait a minute.
who told celestia?
i scanned over the crowd.
twilight.
she told celestia.
"..Rainbow dash!" celestia called my name.
i looked terrified at the scene but faced my princess anyways.
"yes, celestia?"
"you knew about this. you should have told me right away."
celestia lowered her horn at scootaloos parents and it started to glow.
it shot a beam of light at the parents and they dissapeared. her parents were gone.
but, celestia and scootaloo were still there.
"rainbowdash."
she called again.
"would you like to take scootaloo in as a sister?"

we were wrapped up in a blanket on a cold winter night infront of a fireplace.
It was night time, and i could have never been happier i made that desicion.
and scootaloo's peaceful slumber next to me told me she was also, very glad.
