Fluttershy's Relaxation Time
Alternate Ending
Previous ChapterAuthor's Note
This is just a funny alternate ending I thought up while writing this story. Enjoy.
Alternate Ending
Normally Fluttershy limited herself to one drink whenever she drank, but today she was feeling a little adventurous. She finished off the remainder of her beverage, getting every last drop she could out of it. Once her glass was empty, she headed back to the kitchen to mix herself up another. She scooped up the required bottles of liquor and began measuring the amount required for her drink. Although, this time her measurements weren’t exact due to her drunken state, but she didn’t care at this point; she just wanted another drink.
The music blared loudly from the living room as she put the finishing touches on her second drink. As carefully as she could, she made her way back into the living room with her brand new drink in hoof. Her body felt warm due to the alcohol, a little too warm actually. After setting her drink down on the coffee table in front of the couch, she tossed off her bathrobe.
“Ah, much better,” she happily sighed.
She plopped down on the couch and began nursing her new beverage.
This was only the first of many drinks that night. Once her current drink was gone, she decided to switch it up. Some hard apple cider was sounding pretty good right now, so she poured herself a mug from the keg she had in her kitchen. If Rainbow Dash was here she would want a mug as well; you couldn’t keep that mare away from some good apple cider.
By now Fluttershy was feeling good; the hard cider was living up to its name. It had a decent amount of alcohol in it, though not as much as straight liquor. It did its job well.
Her mind wandered to Sweet Apple Acres for some reason, probably because of the cider. More specifically, she thought about a certain Earth pony stallion that worked there. Big Mac was bigger than most stallions because of all those years of working on the farm, building up his muscles. She daydreamed about him embracing her in his strong forelegs, whispering sweet nothings in her ear as he did. Normally, she pushed away thoughts like this because she felt it was improper to have lustful thoughts like that, but her drunken state was causing her imagination to run wild. She fantasized some more about him until an idea crept into her mind, a dirty idea.
She quickly found a piece of parchment and a pencil to scribble down a message. It looked like a five year had written it, but it was legible and got its point across. In it she had requested Big Mac’s presence at her cottage to “fix” something.
She got one of her birds to ferry the message over to Sweet Apple Acres and deliver it to its intended recipient. The bird would take almost no time to get there, and if Big Mac left immediately, it would take him about twenty minutes to arrive at Fluttershy’s cottage. Plenty of time to have another cider.
Over at Sweet Apple Acres, Big Mac had just finished dinner with AppleJack, Apple Bloom, and Granny Smith. He had some last minute chores to take care of before calling it a night. While he was outside putting one of the plows back in the barn, a bird landed in front of him, carrying a rolled up piece of paper in its beak. Thinking it was a message for him, Big Mac took the paper and began reading:
Big Mac,
Sorry, I know it’s late, but I need you to come over to my cottage to take a look at something for me.
Love,
Fluttershy
A bit perplexed, Big Mac pondered the note. It was odd that she would want him to come to her cottage this late in the evening. It only further compounded his confusion when the note looked like a foal had written it.
He really didn’t want to go since it was so late, but he also didn’t want to deny Fluttershy if she truly needed his help with something. He knew how long it would take to get over there, and calculated that it was going to be at least an hour that he would be gone granted it wasn’t anything too difficult. It would be a late night for him, but maybe he could get back in time to get some sleep. After a short grumble, he strapped his saddlebag filled with assorted tools to his back, then headed back to the house to let his family know that he was leaving.
“I’m heading over to Fluttershy’s to look at something for her,” he poked his head into the living room where the other three were sitting.
Granny Smith was sitting in her rocker, nodding off every so often. Apple Bloom was going on about another way to get her cutie mark while AppleJack patiently listened.
“I’ll be back in a couple of hours, tomorrow morning at the latest,” he added.
“What? At this hour?” AppleJack said, looking at the clock on the wall. “Probably another one of her phobias.”
Big Mac just shrugged, the note didn’t specify what Fluttershy needed him for.
“Alright, take care,” AppleJack added.
And with that, Big Mac was off on his journey to Fluttershy’s cottage. The annoyance he was feeling earlier quickly subsided while he walked. Since it was Fluttershy, he couldn’t stay mad at her.
Back at Fluttershy’s house, Fluttershy had finished her second helping of cider. By now she was completely hammered; her whole body felt light as a cloud. Any soreness she was feeling earlier was completely numbed out by the alcohol. Her playlist of songs had ended, so she just clicked off her stereo to await Big Mac’s arrival. She didn’t stop thinking about him the whole time she was waiting.
A knock at her door caused her ears to prick up. A little bit of excitement built up inside her as she already knew who it was.
“Oh, hi Big Mac!” she greeted as she opened the door, slurring her words together. “It’s, uh, in my bedroom. I think one of the legs on my bed is broken.”
Big Mac didn’t even need to hear her slurred speech to know that Fluttershy was completely smashed. He had never seen her like this before and he didn’t even know she drank. It was like that saying he always heard; you had to watch out for the quiet ones.
She stumbled a bit as she ascended the stairs, catching herself mere moments before she face planted into one of the steps. “Whoops,” she said. Luckily she could still walk…somewhat.
Big Mac winced at her near disaster with the stairs. Instinctively, he positioned himself next to her so in case she were to stumble again, he could catch her.
As soon as the two entered the room, Fluttershy hopped on the bed, getting into the best seductive pose she could muster but failing horribly at it.
“Uh…” Big Mac examined the bed, which didn’t look broken at all. He shifted his attention to the mare sitting on the bed who was clearly trying to tell him something.
“Well…” Fluttershy left the question hanging. She was feeling a little frisky and was hoping Big Mac would fulfill her desires. She batted her eyes much like how Rarity does with Spike when she wants him to do a favor for her.
Big Mac, on the other hoof, just froze. He wasn’t about to take advantage of her in her drunken state; it wouldn’t be morally right of him to do so. He would never hear the end of it from his current marefriend, Cheerilee, or his family and anyone else that caught wind of this.
Seeing as how Big Mac didn’t immediately dive into the bed and embrace her, Fluttershy was a little hurt by this. She still had the mental faculties to wonder why he wasn’t joining her, and it made her sad. Was she doing something wrong? Was he not interested? Did he not like Pegasus ponies?
“Oh, I get it,” she looked down toward the floor, sadness in her voice. “I’m not attractive enough.”
“What? No, it’s not that,” Big Mac quickly said. It killed him to see Fluttershy in this sad state. “I know what you want to do, but we can’t, not in your state.”
Big Mac racked his brain to come up with a solution to this problem. He didn’t want to give in to her misleading desires, but he also didn’t want to leave her in this condition.
“Okay. What if we just cuddle for a bit?” he took off his saddlebag and dropped it on the floor. He figured that was a decent compromise; it would give her the satisfaction of being close to him without them doing something that they would have to live with the rest of their lives.
Fluttershy’s face lit up at this compromise and she gave a big smile that would make Pinkie Pie proud.
Big Mac climbed into the bed beside the waiting mare. He shifted around where he was lying on his back. Instinctively, Fluttershy nuzzled up against him, resting her head on his chest.
“Such a big, strong stallion,” she played with a tuft of fur on his chest. “So handsome and…”
Her sentence trailed off and was replaced with her gentle snoring.
“Goodnight Fluttershy,” Big Mac lightly chuckled. Lady luck was on his side that night.
Although, now he was in another predicament. He couldn’t get up from the bed because she was lying on his chest, and trying to do so would most likely wake her up. Instead, he opted to stay in that position and hope she didn’t wake up.
He figured he might as well try to get some sleep himself. It wasn’t long before he drifted off to sleep while silently praying to whoever would listen that no one caught them like this. They would immediately assume the worse case scenario; he was trying to get fresh with Fluttershy, even though she was the one trying to seduce him.
The following morning the sun illuminated the room, the birds chirped happily outside, and various critters went on with their daily routine. All of this would have been enjoyable for Fluttershy if not for the splitting headache she had. She could barely muster the strength to open her eyes. Why did she have to drink so much last night? She berated herself for doing so and vowed never to do it again. Everything was fine until she turned to see a stallion sharing the bed with her.
Panic immediately hit her since everything that happened the night before was all a blur. In her surprise, she tried to jump out of the bed, but got caught on the blanket and fell to the floor. She hissed in pain when she hit the floor; it didn’t hurt as much as her headache, and in fact, made her headache even worse. She caught enough of a glimpse of the stallion to know it was Big Mac. Why was he here? What was he doing in her bed?
Even more panic welled up inside her as she assumed the worst-case scenario; they had sex last night. By now the pain in her head was largely ignored as worry began to grip her mind. What if she got pregnant because of this? How would she explain this to her friends? What would his family think of her, or more importantly, Cheerilee? She would think Fluttershy as nothing more than a mare of the night that’s out to steal her coltfriend away from her.
The commotion from Fluttershy’s panic woke Big Mac from his slumber. It only took him a moment to know something was wrong; Fluttershy was worried about something.
“Did…did we…” Fluttershy stammered after mustering the strength to speak.
After a moment, Big Mac put two and two together to realize what she was getting at. “No, we didn’t. You fell asleep before anything happened.”
“Oh…thank Celestia,” Fluttershy breathed a sigh of relief. She didn’t know Big Mac to lie, especially when it came to something like this.
“Here. I’m going to make you some breakfast,” he said as he pulled himself off the bed.
As he departed to the kitchen, Fluttershy was left sitting in the room, thinking. She needed a moment to herself. This situation could have been a lot worse. Far too often she’s heard about mares that over indulge with alcohol and have a one-night stand with a stallion only to get pregnant afterwards. It was sad that it happened, and the mare would either have to buckle down and accept the responsibility of having a foal, or offer the foal up for adoption. She racked her brain trying to remember what happened last night, but to no avail. It made her head hurt just thinking about anything.
Seeing that it was a fruitless endeavor to try to remember anything, she gave up trying and joined Big Mac in the kitchen. She sat down at the table, cradling her aching head in her forelegs.
“You feeling alright?” Big Mac asked as he prepared her a meal of pancakes, fruit, and flowers; something that would be easy on her stomach.
“No,” she replied with a groan.
He dropped a large glass of water in front of her. “Alcohol makes you dehydrated; make sure you drink plenty of water today.”
Fluttershy didn’t argue with him, instead just focused on the glass of water in front of her.
“So…what happened last night?” she finally asked.
Big Mac figured that question was coming and he may as well explain everything he remembered.
“You had a little too much to drink. You invited me over, saying you wanted me to look at something. When I got here you, uh…you tried to seduce me,” he explained. “Like I said earlier, nothing happened. You fell asleep shortly after we got up to the bedroom.”
“I’m sorry about that,” she said, now fully embarrassed. That was one thing she never expected about herself; Fluttershy would try to seduce a stallion and it was Big Mac of all ponies.
“You have nothing to be sorry about,” he said as he set a plate down in front of her, which was a short stack of pancakes with fruit on the top and some edible flowers. “It happens. We all get drunk at least once and do something stupid. If anything it was actually kind of cute.”
She blushed at that last statement. For a moment it made her forget about the embarrassment she felt about this whole situation. Big Mac always seemed to have the right thing to say for any situation. Cheerilee was lucky to have a stallion such as him as her special somepony.
“I hate leave like this, but I need to get back to the farm. Family’s probably worried about me. Are you going to be alright?” he added.
“Oh…yeah, I’ll be fine. Thanks for breakfast,” she said.
“Anytime.”
He departed out the door to get back to his life, once again leaving Fluttershy alone with her thoughts. Having Big Mac there just made her feel a little better, although it didn’t make her headache go away.
She slowly nibbled through the food he prepared for her, taking regular drinks of the water. That trip to the spa was sounding pretty good right now.
