"AMBUSH!" I yellwed, firing my M4a1 towards the enemy positions.
"Where the fuck is everybody! Where did everybody go!" shouted Cpl Travis, popping up from cover and firing his M16a4.
"I have no idea!" I replied back, putting in a fresh mag.
"Then get Actual on the radio!" Travis ordered.
"Stalker Actual, this is Stalker-2. Come in over." I say into my radio
"This is Stalker-Actual send traffic.
"Stalker Actual, we are currently engaged with enemy forces and are in need of reinforcements over. How copy, over?"
"Solid copy. Stalker 2-1, we can't send you reinforcements at this time. Do what you can, out"
"Fuck!" I shout, punching a nearby wall..
"What's the word on those reinforcements John!" asked Travis, firing off a few more rounds.
"We're on our own!" I said with a hint of panic.
"Stow that shit!" yelled Travis.
"Alright, what's the plan then?" I asked, readying my rifle.
"We need to take that fucking DShK out if we're even going to have a chance of survival. I'll lay down some covering fire, while you advance and take it out with a grenade once your in range." said Travis.
I gave him a facial expression that could only be read as 'the fuck you want me to do'.
"I know its bad plan, but its the only one we got. Are you up for it?" Travis asked, ducking back into cover after the DShK opened up again.
"Fuck it." I answered, moving into position for the almost certain death assignment.
I opened up my grenade pouch on my vest and pulled out a M67 frag grenade.
"You ready?" asked Travis, already set for his side of the plan.
"Ready as I'll ever be." I nervously replied.
"Ok."
I'm going to die.
"Three!"
I'm too young and beautiful to die.
"Two!"
I never saw Paris!
"One!"

"SUPRESSSING!" yelled Travis, letting loose a malestorm of 5.56x45mm towards the DShK.
I hopped over the mud wall and begin sprinting towards Death itself. Dirt was kicked up at my feet as AK-47 rounds impacted the ground. I could hear some zip by head, barely missing me. I ignored the sounds as focused in my objective: the DShk.
Nearing the emplacement, I pulled that exact scene in Band of Brothers: Carentan. You know the scene when LT Welsh ran up and threw a grenade into the building with the mg42. Yeah that one.
After the grenade exploded, I ran up to the top of the position and shot any of the bastards that were still lucky to be alive.
"Clear!" I shouted to Travis, changing magazines in the process.
"Good job, John. Now let's move out before.... OH SHIT RPG!" yelled Travis, pointing at the threat.
I quickly look at where he was pointing at to see a man aiming a RPG-7 at me. Before I could react, he fires the deadly payload. As I watch the rocket sail towards me, Time seemed to slow down. The rocket impacts and I see a strange light flash before my eyes.
"Ugh...where am I?"
I stood up and notice that I'm in a rather dark forest. A chill rans down my spine.
This place seems unnatural.
Pushing the thought out of my head, I decide to check my ammo.
Ammo count:
12 M4a1 Magazines (2 empty)
6 M9 Magazines (1 in sidearm)
11 M203 rounds
3 M67 grenades
2 smoke grenades (white)
Thank God I brought extra 5.56.
