Introduction

A thousand years ago, in the far northeast reaches of the equestrian lands lived the ponies of ice and snow and stone, who lived for their kin, and would do whatever they could to protect their home and their family. Then came an age of dark uncertainty, where an evil and powerful being of chaos ruled over all of the equine lands for a time.

Two alicorn mares rose up to face him. The one a herald of the dawn,  and the other a bringer of dusk. They bore no sword or spear, but the elements of harmony, one of the great powers of eternity, and with it they cast him into stone as punishment for his wrongdoings. They were greeted as champions of ponykind, and celebrated as goddesses by the free ponies. Crowning them their princesses. As the story goes.

However, the ponies of the northeastern Pale were not so quick to call them their rulers, having their own monarch, King Brineshale. Ponies from neighboring regions feuded with them over this, to the dismay of the sisters, who sought nigh but peace. The angry Equestrians continued to feud with the ponies of the Pale, driving them back to the city of Blackhaven, where the Black Bell was housed. The mysterious and seemingly divine bell held an immense power. An unknown, but peaceful power.

Those that survived to reach Blackhaven gathered in the shrine of the Black Bell. They gathered around it and used all they could of their hearts and souls to charge the bell with the purest hope as their brothers and sisters defended them alongside their King against the siege. The clapper of the bell glowing with a pure white light as it swung back and forth. The bell tolling loudly as the ponies were transported from blackhaven to its sister temple in what these refugee ponies would call Stomark. These brave ponies worked over the generations of 1000 years to create a new nation that would make the warrior ponies who fought for their safe travel proud.

Stomark is a land of varying climates. It has frozen, tall mountains that form beautiful ranges, warm, fertile valleys, plains, swamps, and even a desert in it's most southern reaches. It is a land that is both harsh and nurturing, with all manner of fauna and foliage that range from peaceful and skittish, to deadly and horrid. It was a difficult land to tame, but tame it these ponies would

These ponies have had a history full of hardships none would wish on their worst enemy, but also it has had prosperity and golden ages. The land grew from this frontier land, and the ponies in this country would call themselves the Stomaviiri. The Stomaviiri spread quickly, and several independent provinces came to rule the lands.

These provinces soon came to disputes over land and resources, as the industrious Stomaviiri had no proper laws to regulate the leaders of the provinces. The disputes became wars quickly, and the Leader of the province of Solvan took it upon himself to unite the provinces in a long campaign. This pony was named Valiant Black, and he made unity of the provinces, and helped form what would be called the Stomaviiri Kingdom, which would have years upon years of prosperity under the rule of House Black. It was truly a golden era.

This is our story.

This our nation.

This is our pride.
