A Changing Storyby Abbi-ArsonChaptersThe LetterTelling The taleLove Dove Part 1Love Dove Part 2Second TaleTwo Best SistersShocked SpellsAbbyPrincess Mi` Amore Cadenza Part 1The LetterTwilight pranced around her castle humming a small tune. The same tune from when her friends defeated Tirek, a terrible centaur who stole the magic from countless innocent ponies, including the reformed Discord."Let the Rainbow remind you.." Her friends and herself were grateful for his defeat, for it was a shock for they didn't have the elements. But Twilight had been right, it was their friendship that kept them connected. However, this was one of the biggest days of the years, although she was not her student, Twilight was about to write a Happy Birthday letter to Celestia. The small rainbow-colored flower was wrapped in the box. Twilight slowly opened it to make sure it was there. A small letter, a flower the color of all her friends coats. Finally a picture of Celestia and Twilight. The unicorn was a young filly and and the picture showed how she had tried to bake a cake for her dear teacher. She succeeded, but only by following the directions and destroying half of the kitchen. However, she was a good baker to this day having lessons from Pinkie Pie and Applejack. "Spike!" The mare yelled. "Spike I need you to send something to the Princess!" She read over the letter one last time. Dear Princess Celestia, I just wanted to wish you a Happy birthday, I have no idea how old you are, but they always say never ask a mare their age! This is just something I found in my old pictures. The flower is from my garden. Fluttershy taught me how to grow flowers with specific colors! Isn't it cool! It's kinda just like the ones that Discord gave you. Wink* Wink* Anyway, if you are not doing anything this afternoon, which I'm sure you are, would do like to go to lunch with me? Also if Luna wants to tag along that'd be great! However, I'll wait for your response. Sincerely, Twilight Sparkle. Twilight sighed and continued looking for Spike. "I could try the sending spell, but I've tried it before, and never knew where it went," The alicorn strode back to her bedroom. Of course, there was a letter right next to her bed, from Princess Celestia. It read, Dear Twilight I know it is on short notice but I need you to check on the changeling Queen. I know the history on most of our villains like discord or sombra but Chrysalis I know nothing about? I'm busy with preparations for all sorts of activities and I could think of no ponies more qualified than the very own elements of harmony, and maybe you six can reform the queen. With Luck, Princess Celestia. Twilight and her friends trotted towards the rotted castle where Queen Chrysalis had been defeated. Twilight slowly walked towards the small slot in the door. "Queen Chrysalis?" A weak and fragile voice responded, "Twilight..." The others peeked through the hole as well. "Hugh! She looks absolutely hideous!" Rarity screamed. "Thank you for noticing." Chrysalis replied. "Uhh, sorry, she just is um really," "Strange." Chrysalis completed the sentence for Twilight. "That's one way to put it." The purple alicorn replied. "Um, bad question. But are you okay?" Rainbow Dash asked as her sky blue wings folded against her back when she landed. "I have put all my changelings in hibernation. To make sure they get energy." The dire Queen told them. "Yeah, that may be true but why aren't ya Hibernatin'?" Applejack asked. Chrysalis sighed. "You never know what will happen in Equestria. One day a jealous sister tries to put the land in Eternal night. Another a jumble of animal parts and chaos tries to put everything in disharmony. Then a shadow like pony enslaves an entire empire, the next a magic absorber monster tries to take all the magic in Equestria. Why shouldn't I be awake?! There might be a day where you can't defeat your enemy, what then? What does that mean for my children? They must sleep, and I, as their queen, must be alert in case of an emergency." The ponies sighed she had a point. "Well, that is true but what about you? What's your story?" The Queen just grunted to Twilight's response. "Yeah, like we know you tried to take over equestria with your changelings but then cadence stopped you, no wait shining armor did too, what's sad is that it wasn't us, but what's really sad is that they had to save equestria on their wedding day!" "PINKIE!" The five mares screamed. Pinkie simply shrugged and turned to Chrysalis. " You know Sparkie is right! It would be cool to know how and why you tried to take over Canterlot!" "Sparkie! What kind of name is that!" Twilight yelled. Pinkie was obviously giving her a nickname because of her last name 'Sparkle'. Queen Chrysalis sighed. "Go ask Celestia." "Celestia? What does she have to do with it? " The marshmallow unicorn asked. "Let's just say, she thought be look, and not by soul." Twilight frowned. "I'll ask her then." Twilight pulled a scroll out of her saddlebag along with a quill. "Dear Princess Celestia," She started. "The subject is not something you can talk over a letter." Queen Chrysalis interrupted. "The Princess sent my friends and I here for precaution, and for some reason ask your history." "You go ask Celestia and if she doesn't know I'll will happily tell you how she ruined my life." The Queen scowled. Twilight turned without response and trotted back to the carriage her friends and herself had rode in to get there. Twilight lifted her saddlebag into the carriage . The bag was immediately surrounded by a pink-magenta aurora and landed inside. The lavender alicorn sat in the carriage. Her other five friends followed behind her confused looks on their faces. They sat down with her and the two guard stallions took off. But as soon as they were in the air, Queen Chrysalis smirked. Telling The taleCelestia Laid down In her study. the fire next to her crackled and sparked. A hoof knocked on the door and a familiar voice asked a question. "Tia, sister may I come in?" Celestia sighed and got up. She slowly opened the door. her dear sister princess Luna stood in the doorway. The sun Princess moved away and her sister strode in. "This letter appeared in my bedroom I was going to give it to you but I, um, forgot. Twilight and her friends are out in the castle hall, I dear say Twilight did look a bit annoyed but worried at the same time." Celestia nodded. "Luna could you go get them for me?" Luna nodded and trotted out of the bedroom. * Twilight stared at the stain glass windows one of herself and two others with her and her friends defeating awful cretures. She kept walking and trotted by the one where Spike saved the Crystal Empire. But then she stopped. The stain glass window of her brother and the princess of love, Cadence defeating the evil Queen. She remembered how she had fooled them all, she remembered everything they said. Princess Celestia, "You have a lot to think about," Shining Armor, "In fact, maybe you shouldn't come to the wedding at all." One of her best friends, Applejack, "Think you're being a might bit possessive of yer brother?" The memories flashed in her mind on how every pony was against her. "Ahem," A voice said from the side of the room. "Well howdy princess Luna!" Applejack greeted her. "Hello, Apple mare." Luna said turning around . Applejack scowled behind her back. "My sister is expecting you Twilight and your friends so make haste." Luna told trotting away to her sister's room. The six mares followed after her. Luna opened the door to the room and let them in. "Wait." Celestia said to them, and they all paused. "Only Twilight. Sorry you five but this is an important matter not only of royal matter but also of her family." The five sighed. "But I wanted to hear the story!'" Pinkie Pie whined, galloping out of the room. Twilight frowned and laid down next to Celestia. "Why only me? Why did you tell us to go see Queen Chrysalis? Why about her past? I get reformation and all, but really why?!" Twilight asked. The Princess put a hoof up to silence Twilight. "I heard that you were coming back, but I also questioned why? Do you have information on the Queen?" Twilight shook her head. the Princess sighed. "Did you ever think that Queen Chrysalis and Princess Cadence might have anything in common?" Celestia asked. "No, besides that they're both rulers of there own kingdom and they're both alicorns, I don't know?" Twilight answered. Celestia sighed and stood up. "I had a student many moons ago, her name was Love Dove." * A small white unicorn filly with red mane and big purple eyes walked up to the small timber wolf egg. (Almost everything in Equestria was born from eggs but specifically not the ponies.) She looked up to the three ponies sitting in the chairs waiting. "You do know what you're doing right?" One of them asked. The filly gulped and nodded. "Well then hurry up now Love Dove we haven't got all day." The filly's horn sparked and a purple magic surrounded it. A laser shot out from it, and hatched the young timber wolf. Her horn started to glow more and the little filly gasped. Purple and pink hearts shot out and hit the young wolf. The three judge's eyes turned pink and then turned into hearts. The young filly rose in the air and screamed. Then, she immediately fell back to the ground. The judges started arguing about who would own the young timber wolf. The filly ran outside searching for the pony who's school she wished to get into. There she was, in all her glory. The great Princess Celestia. She rushed up to the Princess shaking her leg violently to get attention breaking the gaze of the princess from her subjects. "Yes little filly?" Celestia asked looking down at her. She suddenly forgot why she was there in the first place then she shook her head remembering. "Gifted Unicorns-your school-Tried to get in-Love Spell-totally accidental-fighting!" Love Dove gasped. The princess hurried to the audition room where ponies were tested to see if they had got what it takes to get into Celestia's school for gifted unicorns. Celestia's horn lit a bright yellow and with a flash, the ponies stopped in their tracks. Their faces blushed and they soon stood up right, trotting outside the room. Love Dove looked to the ground, ashamed. She hoped she wasn't in too much trouble. "Love Dove," Said the princess, "Walk with me." Love Dove inhaled the deep air trotting forward to keep up with the princess's pace. "Do you know what the most powerful thing in all of the world is?" Love Dove shook her head to the question. "Love. It is thanks to that power that we have defeated most of our enemies. However, it can also be very dangerous." Love Dove tilted her head. "How?" "Many of Equestria's foes have become villains because of love. Because of love ponies can hate, which causes revenge." Celestia replied. "What you did was amazing, not many ponies can hatch a timber wolf and create a love spell at the same time, and I would be proud to have you in my school." She continued. "Really?!" Love Dove gasped. "Really." Celestia smirked. "Also, you can keep the timber wolf." Love Dove Part 1Author's Note By the way the classroom seats are like college seats ones that go up, you know the fancy ones. Love Dove Part 1 She waved to the princess goodbye, trotting inside her household. She made her way up the stairs into her bedroom. As soon as the door behind her shut, she squealed with delight. Her hooves clapped against each other. before the princess had left, she had told Love Dove she had certainly gotten into the school. Tomorrow was her first day at Celestia's school for gifted unicorns. * Love Dove gasped as she awoke and turned to the clock. She gasped again. 'Oh no, oh no! I can't be late for school on the very first day!' She galloped down the stairs into the kitchen. "MOM! Why didn't you wake me up!" She shouted. Upstairs a grown unicorn mumbled. "Huh? Wha- meh. Your dad left early!" She shouted from her room. Then went back to sleep. 'Of course he did, fun to have a dad as a royal guard.' She thought rolling her eyes. A piece of toast popped out of a toaster. She grabbed it quickly and ran out of the house. "Bye Mom!" She shouted. "By-arc, grr..." The mother replied. She fell out of the bed, pulling herself up opening the window. Her purple hair moved and her white coat puffed. Her blue eyes scanned for her daughter until they found her. "Bye sweetie!" She shouted out from the window then mumbled and fell back in the bed. "I don't wanna go to work.." Love Dove's hooves galloped against the cement ground as she rushed into the well-decorated building. The Construct was white, purple, and a gold-yellow. It was all decorated in a specific ways some with stars or swirls. She rushed down the halls looking at the amazing décor until she found the office. A turquoise colored mare with dark orange mane shifted a pencil over a piece of paper continuously. Love Dove slowly walked up to the desk. "Excuse me?" She asked, looking to the ground. The mare looked up frowning. Her brown eyes looked dead from behind the spectacles. "Yeah?" She said with a slight Manehatten accent. However it was a very deep voice which made her sound scarier than she looked. "I'm looking for my schedule?" She told her but it sounded like a question. "Name?" She asked still scowling. "Um, Love Dive...I mean Love Dove!" The office mare's eyebrow lifted then her gaze shifted back to the computer writing information down on a piece of paper. "You're first class is with Ms. Raven. here's your schedule." She handed Love Dove the paper she had been writing on. "Thanks..." She said gripping the paper standing there. "Bye." The mare told her, it almost sounded like an order like she was saying, "Get out now, hurry up." She galloped to Ms. Raven's room, fear in her mind. The mare with dark eyes glared at her as she entered the classroom. "Next time, try to get to class on time." She scolded. "I'm sorry, I just was getting my schedule and was looking for the room. And I-" "Turn to page thirty-five in your history book." Ms. Raven ordered, interrupting Love Dove's explanation. She sighed and went to sit in a empty seat. "Hey," A voice whispered from a seat above her. "Hey," It continued. "Hey!" "What?!" Love Dove turned. "Did you play with the birds and Doves today? Because your hair looks like a bird's nest." A filly above her whispered. The two girls next to her laughed silently. "Doves are birds..." She mumbled turning away again. "Love Dove if I have to tell you to be quiet, you're getting a detention!" Ms. Raven shouted up to Love Dove. "But I-" Ms. Raven raised an eyebrow. "It won't happen again." * She walked slowly down the black top, looking up every so often to make sure she was alone. And she was, until a snicker and laugh came from behind her. She turned her head looking furiously at the same filly who had gotten her in trouble in class. Love Dove sighed, turning her head back in the direction she had been walking. " Hold up, before you go play with the birdies sense you're a loner..." The filly said trotting in front of Love Dove, two other fillies followed behind her. "These two lovely fillies are my comrades, or besties for life! Something you'll never have, you don't even have a cutie mark, how do you, like, socialize? Anyhow the one on the right is Sewn Stone." Sewn Stone pushed up her dull blue glasses up to her orange eyes against her gray dead fur with a purple shine. Even though her coat wasn't a pretty sight, her golden mane with strips of violet and blue held up in a bun with a clip of a violet and blue gem with thread of gold inside of it was very beautiful. "And on my left is Bubble Dazzle," Bubble Dazzle flipped a strode of her light blue with white mane out of her face behind her ear of her pink coat. She wore a beautiful necklace of blue. She adjusted her neck piece with her dark blue magic, looking deeply at Love Dove with big turquoise eyes. "And for the finally, me. Clarity Crystal, or otherwise know as, Clarity Crystal Gemstone. But you can just call me Gemstone, only my besties are allowed permission to call me gem or Clare or even Chrissy." Clarity's horn lit up a teal color as her friends cheered with laughter. The magic surrounded Love Dove and threw her right at a tree. "I'm sure you'll find some friends in the ground! Or maybe-that's where you deserve to be!" Clarity shouted from across the field laughing tremendously. A hoof ball fell in between Love Dove's back legs where she sat. "Hey! Pass! A small unicorn colt called from far away. "What?" Love Dove asked a loud ringing in hear ears blocked the sound. "Who's that?" She squinted her vision not normally this blurry. The colt ran up to her looking slightly angry. "Hey all I did was ask-Oh my Celestia! Guys! Guys!" His voice started to fade to her. "There's blood all over her head go get a teacher, somepony!" Love Dove's eyes slowly closed. "No, no, no! Come on! Just a bit longer you're gona be okay!" The world went black. Love Dove Part 2Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Second TaleAuthor's Note I know this Chapter is short. Sawwy. Second Tale "But why didn't you-" "Help her? Apologize?" Celestia interrupted Twilight's question. " I didn't realize until the wedding of Cadence it was her." "What? How?" Twilight asked, serious but confused. "It was when she said that Equestria has more love than any land she had encountered. That's when I knew." * "Wait!" Love Dove shouted after the princess, galloping up to her quickly. For a Princess she sure had a fast pace of walking. "Yes?" She said looking down at the small filly. "How much magic, does, Equestria have?" She asked with wide, bulging eyes. Celestia gave a slight chuckle. "Love Dove, Equestria and many other places not known need love and order, without it, ponies and races would be having constant fights. Too much fighting wouldn't give any pony time to plant or build. If ponies didn't do their part for Equestria as I do, no pony would balance no friendship means no allies, which means more enemies, which we would eventually end up having a war. Understand?" Love Dove nodded, "But, so, are you a lone ruler?" She asked. Celestia sighed her horn sparkling yellow began to lower the sun and raise the moon, revealing a certain shape in the moon as a unicorn mare. 'Just another four years Lulu, soon...' Celestia thought to herself rising herself in the air, beating her wings against the slight breeze, looking back down at Love Dove. Then looked back to the moon. "Once I was not." * "But how does this have to do with anything or Cadence for that matter? I mean she's the Princess of Love, and changelings feed off love, how could they be..." "Similar? I'll tell you." Celestia said finishing Twilight's sentence once again. She turned and faced the small stacks of pillows lying down upon it again. "Go ahead and tell your friends they can go home. They are not needed at the moment." Twilight bowed her head, trotting outside Celestia's corridors. * "What?" Rainbow screeched, her frown deep with anger. "I thought the princess was cool! But no!" Rainbow implied sarcastically. "Just come all the way to Canterlot cuz you know, I want you too, but now I want all of you to go home because I said." Rainbow Dash tried to impression a rude Celestia, but Twilight glared at her in hatred. "Look, I'll tell it to inform you, but for now go, so Celestia can tell me the story of Cadence." Pinkie Pie gasped. "What?! I don't want to miss story time!" All the ponies sighed. "Pinkie..." She looked furiously at all of them. "What?! It's not my fault I'm a better, earth pony, happier Twilight who can bend realities and break the fourth wall and also that is funny and likes books!" Twilight looked as if she could explode and kill Pinkie. Fluttershy quickly grabbed Pinkie by the arm and rushed out. "Maybe we should go, um we'll talk to you later alright Twilight? " She nodded and they all said goodbye. Until Twilight stopped. "And Fluttershy?" The yellow Pegasus turned back to Twilight's gaze to listen. "Slap Pinkie for me will you?" Fluttershy chuckled and nodded in response. Twilight trotted back into Celestia's room, her face turning from anger to seriousness. Back in the room, Celestia levitated a book over her face, over her changeling eyes. * Twilight stood still in the middle of the room awaiting for the Princess to tell her the story. "Sit." Celestia said. It was almost an order more than an option. Her hoof pointed at another pile of pillows by the fire. Twilight slowly walked up to pile and laid down. Her eyes looked at Celestia and squinted. The princess cleared her throat and levitated a photo towards the two of them. "This is me and my, friend." Celestia hesitated at 'my' and gulped down her crackling voice. "We were, friends. Long ago. It was a story however of Cadence and my best friend was Cadence. She had a sister and parents but one day they were fighting and she thought it'd be fun to play treasure find in the woods. They got lost, a changeling and she they turned, friend, she turned back, then her sister turned on her, and left." Twilight looked confused again then wore soft eyes. She laid a hoof on Celestia's shoulder, ending Celestia's sobbing. "Tell me what happened. Slowly. From the beginning." Celestia looked from her shoulder to Twilight. She inhaled a large breath then wiped her hoof across her face, exhaling. She closed her eyes her breathing soft and steady opening them back up again. "Many, many, many years ago..." Two Best SistersAuthor's Note Warning: This chapter (only the first paragraph) has birth, so if you are uncomfortable with the first one, don't read. I don't make it that graphic, so I - I don't know. Two Best Sisters In a hospital room, a mare screamed in agony. Blood dripped from her filly hood as the two fillies came out. "Sweetie, it'll- it'll be okay..." Quill Spark reassured his wife, who, was in complete pain. "Hold on Heart Tune... They're almost there..." The doctor said looking up to Heart Tune. "Celestia, make this end!" She shouted, which followed by a scream. "Whahhhhhhh!" The sound of a baby's cry echoed through the room. A white unicorn with brilliant yellow, blue, and purple mane whined silently, as her sister, a beautiful pink pegusus with luscious purple pink and yellow mane, cried and screamed as air hit her face. "Let...let me see them." Quill Spark wrapped the two twins up in respectful colors, the baby unicorn in a bright blue, and the pegusus in a pink/purple. He handed the two to his wife, a drip of vomit leaving her mouth from earlier. Tears filled her eyes as the two fillies opened their eyes. The unicorn had bright blue beautiful eyes the color of the ocean. The pegusus had shocking magenta eyes a pretty as pink gems. "I have some good senses huh?" Quill asked, expecting no response. "Hi... Love Note," She said looking at the baby unicorn, then turned to the baby pegusus. "Hello, Cadance. * Two fillies pranced around the house, laughing and cheering. "Cadance! Love Note! Dinner's ready!" Their mother shouted from the kitchen. They both ran inside hugging their father. "Hey daddy!" They both shouted sitting down in their seats. "Hey..." he mumbled the pen in his wing opening and closing as he tapped it against the table. He lifted it into his mouth, scribbling on papers that his two daughters didn't understand. Heart Tune slammed four bowls on the table, the magic holding them breaking. A droplet of the soup falling onto a paper. "Watch it!" Quill Spark shouted at his wife, frowning. She said nothing, but glared in response. The two fillies stared at their parents scowling at each other. *cough* Love Note exhaled, using her magic to levitate the spoon of liquid into her mouth, looking back down at her food. Heart Tune heard this and faked to clear her throat. "How was work today honey?" She asked looking down and stirring her soup. He mumbled before answering. "Fine." "That's it?" Love Note asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah how many books did you sell in cloudsdale today? OH, did you meet Fantastic Flitter Melody?" Cadance asked blurting into the silence with enthusiasm. He chuckled slightly not looking up from the papers. "Nope, not today sweetie. "He answered sound sad but happy too, sighing at the end of the sentence. "But we'll go see the concert?" Cadence asked, hopefully. She had been looking forward to going to one of her concerts, and her dad said she would go. However, he only sighed once more. "I- I don't know sweetie, we might not be able too, the library has lost so must interest, so business is low, and paying for a foal sitter would cost while mom would be looking for a job, so we wouldn't have much time for a-" "Job?! Me! We agreed that I would stay home! I applied for eight jobs! Eight Quill Spark! Eight! Do you not understand that! I can't apply for jobs! You can't just say- Oh hey, yeah, hi honey, I said you were going to apply for jobs, just because I'm doing bad means you have to do bad too!" Heart Tune yelled standing upright, her eye twitching. "What?! I don't even sound like that! You need to help and support this family! We are on the bridge of being kicked out of this house!" "Support! Are you here cleaning! Making Dinner! No! You sit at a desk, watching the clock until it's time to go home, a few ponies checking by every now and then!" "I'm still working and getting paid You-" "Enough!" Love Note screamed, interrupting her father. The two grown ponies stared at her until Quill Spark grew angry. Heart Tune saw this then looked to her daughter. "You-" "Stop it! " Cadence screamed back interrupting her mother. "You two arguing is driving me crazy, figure something out already!" Love Note said bowing her head. "Taking care of us isn't just cleaning us, feeding us, and making sure we're safe!" Cadance told them. "Yes it-" Quill began, but was stopped again by Cadance. "No, it's not! WE are so bored, we have nothing to do, you both don't spend time with us, why do you think we never ask you to tuck us in, go outside to play, joke around, help with homework! We have each other so we learned not to ask you, dad was to busy with his job, and mom with cleaning and baking! We help each other..." "Something you can't do, because you're to busy arguing about things instead of helping each other fix them, you fight about what's unfair and fair, you said when we were eight that life wasn't fair, so just shut up!" Love Note's eyes started to swell up. "We..." Love Note covered her face not being able to finish. "Hate you!" Cadance finished, sobbing running out of the room and upstairs to her and her sister's room. Love Dove sat up smashed her hoof on top of the table then jumping on top of it then jumping off, running upstairs following her sister. The parents just sat down in silence, contemplating what just happened. "This is your fault..." Heart Tune said silently. "What?!" He replied, his eyes narrowing. "You heard me..." She talked back glancing back at him. "Are you kidding me?! This is all your fault-" * Cadance sobbed into her heart-shaped pillow. "Hey," Love Note mumbled, slowly creaking the door open. Cadance's head popped up in surprise, "Hi..." She whispered shoving the soggy pillow off her bed and sat up against the edge of her bed, lifting a hoof to her face to wipe away the tears. "Ya' know" Love Note started walking forward, jumping up onto Cadance's bed, wresting a hoof on the opposite side of her. "I don't care what they say if they come up here, we were right." Cadance smiled, her sister was always the positive one. But she was always the happier one, though her sister was serious. "How about we play a game?" She asked her sparking blue eyes glaring at her sister. "Yeah, I've got the perfect idea!" Cadance popped up climbing out of bed. "Come on!" She raised her roof pointing outside the hallway. Love Note followed slowly, thinking of what it was, then shrugging, putting a smile on her face. Cadance gripped a small piece of paper in her hoof then sat down square on the floor, unfolding the parchment. "What is it?" Love Note asked staring at the marks all over it, crawling down beside her sister. "A map! Dad and mom hid something where the X is a few weeks ago, they said whenever we wanted we could go look for it!" Cadance answered, smiling widely. " I think they meant at day, and with them." Love Note replied, a worried face glanced at Cadance. She just rolled her eyes in response. "You said you wanted to play a game, and this might take a while, enough for mom and dad to sort stuff out, and besides they love to argue, I doubt they'll notice we're gone." But Love Note's expression just became more worried. "It's still in the forest, you know how dangerous it is at night," "So? Look if it was dangerous, there wouldn't be a map." Cadance answered, giving her sister bored eyes. "That's so not tru-" "Please?!" Cadance pleaded, her pupils growing wide. Love Note rolled her eyes sighing. "Fine..." "Yay!" She shouted trotting back to the room, gathering needed stuff in her saddlebag. Love Note did the same and they both opened the window, throwing a rope down for Love Note. Cadance's wings fluttered as she ran out. Love Note tried to stop her, but the next second, Cadance was hovering in the air outside the window, her wings making a slight buzzing sound. Love Note rolled her eyes again, gripping the rope, sliding down to the grass. Cadance cheered and said she was like a secret agent. The two fillies walked into the forest, it was dark and damp, no birds no life, just dark. "Maybe we should go back..." Love Note asked, but Cadance trudged forward, her mind set on finding the red X. Only focusing on the map, while flying, she crashed head first into a tree, she fell down her wing smashing against a branch and millions of scars cutting on her face. Love Note rushed to help her sister. "Oh my gosh! Are you alright!?" Cadance nodded limping to get up, until gripping to her wing and closing her eyes. Love Note inspected it seriously. 'I think it's broken. We should go back." She finally said, lifting Cadance up with her magic. "Where are we?" She asked herself, carefully looking at the map. Cadance's eyes slowly shifted open until she gasped. "Love Note watch out!" But it was too late, Love Note slipped the edge of the cliff hitting rocks and finally crashing into a pool of mud. The magic bond released Cadance, who fell, but unlike her sister, gripped onto the ground as soon as she impacted with the dirt. All the way on the bottom of the cliff, Love Note groaned in the mud, not moving. "Hold on sis I'm coming!" Cadance looked around her for anything that would help, however she was an expert on rock climbing, she had always hoped if became a famous song writer or singer she would live in a beautiful place by hills and mountains to climb. She placed one hoof down, sliding , she continued this, until she reached the bottom. She swiped the sweat off her forehead and rushed to her sister. "Are you okay?" Cadance asked her sister, helping her out of the mud. They continued to walk down the forest, the mud drying on their coat fur. "Let's stop for a sec okay?" Love Note asked, and Cadance came to a halt. "Sure..." The two fillies sat in silence until Cadance asked a question darkly. "We're never gona get home are we?" Love Note rose her head, sadly looking at her sister. Then her look turned to anger. "Don't say that! WE could... still find a way out..." Cadance scoffed at her sister's remark. "No, we won't if we do, or could we wouldn't be here, we would be home, in our beds, happy!" * Heart Tune screamed galloping upstairs. "Girls! Pack your things! We're-" She started looking in the room. "Girls!?" No one said anything. "Girls!?" No response. "GIRLS!" Nothing. Heart Tune ran downstairs, starting to have a panic attack. She told Quill Spark, and they both ran out side, screaming their names, until Heart Tune ran inside to call the police. Meanwhile, Quill Spark kept shouting, "Love Note!" "Cadance!" * "Cadance! Don't, just don't..." The Two fillies sighed and Cadance began to sob, that is until An evil changeling queen emerged out of the shadows, laughing. Shocked SpellsThe changeling queen looked into the eyes of the two foals fear washing over them. Their scars bled, and the mud on their coats dripped. The queen fell over on one of her legs, struggling to get back up. As soon as she was able to get a grip on the ground with her dark back hooves, she let out a terrifying laugh. It sent chills down the fillies’ spines. “You… you both, will take care of the hive mind, seeking control over Equestria...Forever!” The sisters looked at each other nervously. Until Cadance spoke. “Perhaps we never should’ve gone…” * “Muhahahaha-ow…” She started before going limp again. She growled, her jagged horn lighting up with a bright green. Her dark blue mane shifted, as she rose into the air, a bright blue beam surrounding her, the two filles rose as well. Love Note had read about changelings, but didn’t know what was going on, that is until her sister let out a painful scream. Love Note’s head turned immediately to see her sister crying and sobbing. spikes of what looked as changeling wings cut through her own, forcing the bone and blood of them to shoot out of her body. A horn jammed in the front of her head, breaking the edge of her skull. Love Note gasped, tears forming in her eyes until she screamed as well. Then gallons were pouring out just like the blood. Jagged pieces of broken horns, forced its way to replace Love Note’s. The evil wings didn’t take its time, but instead just cut out quickly. The blood drip to the ground, gallons surrounding the place they once stood. The changeling queen, who was screaming herself, lit up her horn more, picking up the piles of blood and rushing around them. Their coats and mane changed completely different colors, if anything the opposite. The fillies fell they were much taller and a bit older. The queen however, was having a magic surge, the blue magic surrounded her, her eyes bled and the magic stopped, but a small lightning bolt from it, hit her, and her whole body disintegrated. The sisters gasped looking down. Until Love Note spoke. "What.. happened?" She asked, her magic grabbed a mirror out of her saddlebag. She looked at herself and gasped. "What are we? What am I?" She cried, Cadance stepped forward to her sister, gasping at the sight. They were changelings. * Cadance took a few steps backwards, then looked down to her holey hooves. She panted. Love Note remained silent, the mirror dropping to the ground. The only noise hearable was Cadance's crying, that was until millions of changeling soldiers peered out from the woods around them. "Behold! The changeling Queen- queens?" A dark mare soldier started, then saw Love Note behind Cadance. "Ah, is it to be a fight to the death?" A dark blue one said, hoping. "Oh! Exciting! A fight!" A dark pink one jumped, her bright pink wings fluttering. "Fight! FIGHT!" An orange one said, waling up to Cadance, who was terrified. "Love Note..." She started, until two changelings stepped forward. One a black yellow, and a gray one. "Now fighting isn't always, the answer!" The yellow one said, then the orange changeling scoffed, her country voice digging deep into her voice. "Flutterwing! You know better! If you fight with the changeling laws, you will be executed!" The gray one stepped up. "Excuse me? Before our queen, Liveevol, sacrificed herself and made us new queens, only because she was decaying and we were doing terribly with food, we were happy! Also, you are not the commander, you were not left in charge, Blacklight, tell her!" The dark purple changeling walked to her fellow changelings slowly. "What do you propose we do?" She asked calmly. "Are you kidding me?! You're going to listen to them but not us?" The blue one commented. "RainFlash! Watch your tongue!" Blacklight screamed back. "But they-" The orange started. "Same with you FeastJack!" She shouted. "Oooh! Some changelings are getting told!" The pink one said. "Pinkie Lie!" Blacklight threatened. The pink changeling hushed. FeastJack and RainFlash both laughed, mocking her friend silently. "Now, Clarity..." The purple changeling turned to the gray one. "I think Flutterwing would say it better." Clarity sighed, trotting away from the yellow changeling hiding behind her. Blacklight looked down at her, scowling deeply. "Do we always have to kill them? Even though we're changelings, we don't kill, we feed on love, they're two different things, and I don't know if others are, but I'm terrified every time I hear screams because of battle for queen hood, or because somepony found us out, and even if they did, we can hypnotize them!" Flutterwing yelled, then realizing she had, curled back down looking at the dirt. Blacklight glared at her for a few minutes before turning to the crowd of changelings. "I've decided to take mercy to the two, we shall let the two princesses decide which one of them is to leave and stay a changeling and live alone forever, while the other lives here as a queen!" All the changelings cheered except for RainFlash and FeastJack. "However..." Blacklight continued as all the changelings began to turn around to walk to their hideout. "I will only spare them if they willingly come with us, otherwise, I'll use force, and if it gets past the point where they test my patience, I, personally will kill them." Flutterwing and Clarity both gasped, Clarity ran over to Love Note pulling her hoof up, Love Note sighed, and sat up, trotting along with Clarity. She looked back at Flutterwing and signaled her that the herd was moving. Flutterwing nodded back, her head looking back down at the sobbing filly. "I.. never... asked for, this." Cadance said between sobs. Flutterwing sighed, and gripped the filly's hooves. "I know... I've met so many ponies turned into changelings. It seriously kills me inside, but if you want a chance to live, a chance, you better get up and start walking, or else..." Flutterwing paused. "They'll kill you." She finished, Cadance nodded, lifting her self up walking quickly by the side of Flutterwing. As soon as she saw her sister, she galloped up to her side. "Where do you think they're taking us?" Cadance asked her sibling, however, Love Note's eyes were dark and stared at the ground. "We are now monsters." She finally said after minutes of deathly quiet. "I know but still," Cadance continued, but there was no answer to her sentence. "What's going to happen?" Cadance asked, looking to the ground. Love Note said nothing. "Are we going to...to...to, die?" Cadance asked a question once more. No response. "Love Note? What are we gonna do?!" She complained, in a little less than a whisper. Still, nothing. Cadance grew concerned, she knew they would have to pick, but she would never abandon her sister, she just hoped that Love Note would do the same. AbbyThe two fillies walked slowly into the room, Cadance surrounded by fear, and Love Note, well you couldn't tell what she was feeling. "I, Blacklight Spark, encourage the changeling council to go for order on this cooperation." Blacklight said, fiercely. "Fillies, step forward," She said, then marched up some stairs that led to a throne. "This is how it works, we say a question and you answer it. If we like, or agree with the answer, you will get a point. Understand?" She asked. The two fillies nodded, followed with a gulp by Cadance. "Then, when it is over, whomever wins, gets to make the decision to leave or stay." Love Note stayed silent, but Cadance gasped, she knew she was most likely to fail, and decided to take it upon herself to at least try. "First question, what is your favorite color?" She asked pointing to cadence. "Uh, blue?" Then Blacklight pointed to Love Note. "Green." A loud ding echoed through the cavern, at they scratched a line under a big 'R'. The letter beside it was 'L'. Cadance guessed it meant Right and Left, and sense Love Note was on the right, she realized she had gotten the point. Love Note's favorite color wasn't green! It was blue also! "Next, what are your hobbies?" "Writing and playing video games?" cadence answered once more. "Writing and plotting, thinking a lot, being sneaky." Love Note said dully. Another ding, and another line under 'R'. "What kind of friends do you want?" "Kind, happy, and generous." Cadance smiled. "Loyal, honest to only me, powerful, but not more powerful than me. But honestly, in my opinion, none." Cadance's sibling said, and another ring went off, as a line was placed again under 'R'. "What kind of friends do you have?" "Same kind I want, which means I don't really need any new friends." cadence complimented her friends, then looking to Love Note. "None. I have no friends, they tend to betray you, lie to you, and constantly think they're better than you." Cadance raised an eyebrow. That wasn't true, if anything she was the most popular girl in school. "Final question, what do you wish your changeling names to be?" Cadance gulped and thought for a bit, she remembered how Love Note had been reading about mythical creatures, and was on the chapter of changelings. That must have been why she was getting so many points, she knew what they liked! Then she remembered, they like names that sound like they mean something, even if they don't. She also remembered reading about ancient times, in Egypt. How a ruler was a pharaoh. How about the alphabet, it always helped her when she was making names. "Something like that, err A,B-" She thought but then was cut off. 'If you don't answer quickly, we will move on!" Blacklight screamed. "Aborah!" Cadence yelled. All the changeling gasped with her quick response. Love Note was shicked. She was going to call herself 'Phara', but it sounded too much like her sibling's name, and she panicked. "Phara!" A loud ding ran over the cave, and a line was placed under the 'L'. "Although the left just now got a point, The right has more, and gets to make the decision." Blacklight said calmly. Love Note's eyes popped open and she stood up from the ground that she was laying on. "Sis... what are we gona-" Cadance started. "I, Queen Phara, my new title, banish you from the changeling quarters forever!" Love Note yelled. Love Note stared at her sister in disbelief. "B-but sis, w-why?" Cadance asked in confusion. "It's all your fault! You wanted to go outside, when I said we shouldn't, I would still have a good life, had it not been for you!" Love Note shouted back. "What are you talking about? I'm gona be like this the rest of my life as well!" Cadance replied. "Don't you dare talk back to me!" Love Note shouted again. "Sister, please.." Cadance pleaded, running to her sisters hooves, lying on the floor. "I beg of you." "Get out!" Love Note screamed, lifting her sibling up with her magic onto her four hooves, and using a magic blast, causing her to fly out the cave. "It's all your fault..." Love Note mumbled, and turned walking back deeper inside the hive facing Blacklight. "Get off my throne!" Outside, Cadance sobbed, lifting herself up and walking away. 'I'm sorry sister... I'm so sorry." * Cadance awoke underneath a blue blossom tree, and was greeted by a white coated mare. "Hello!" She said, smiling. Cadance gasped, flinging up, and slamming her head against a tree branch. "Ow!" She complained, rubbing her head. The white mare beside her gasped, trying to help her up. "What happened?" She said, staring into the changeling's eyes. "My sister- she-I, ugh, my head..." Cadance replied, frowning. "What's your name?" She asked, lifting Cadance up. Cadance thought for a bit, remembering suddenly her 'changeling' name. "Aborah." Cadance said swiftly. The mare next to her smiled. "Mine's Celestia, but please don't tell anyone, just call me Tia, like a nickname!" Cadance frowned. She had read her dad's newspaper a week ago, saying Celestia was soon to be the all- ruler of Equestria, then her sister's time would come, and Celestia would share the throne. But it couldn't be the same pony could it? Her wavy pink mane sparkled, but she tried to push it down. There was brown cloak over her, and if she was Celestia, it covered her wings. "Okay, if you are the all time ruler of Equestria-" "Almost. Not yet." Celestia interrupted, sadly looking to the ground. "Right- but still, how do ponies not recognize you?" Celestia chuckled. "A spell. Everyone thinks I'm shorter than I am, and my hair is different, different shaped eyes, everything, all I had to do was pick the features I want then the spell creates it. I can change back whenever I want, but it's for all ponies, so how can you see me? I mean I guess, you're not technically a pony, but still." Celestia explained, making a confused face at the end sentences. "I don't know, but about the nickname thing, can I have one?" Cadance asked nicely. "Sure! How about, umm, Aborah, Aborah, Abor, Ab, uh, Abby?!" Celestia exclaimed and Cadance nodded. "It's perfect." Princess Mi` Amore Cadenza Part 1"So, Abby..." Celestia started. The two sat underneath the a blue blossom tree, thinking intensely. "How'd you become a changeling?" Aborah looked up to Celestia at this question. Then frowned more. "My sister and I- our mother and father had been, fighting- we decided to go out into the backyard forest and search for treasure on a map our parents had made us." Aborah paused her sight quickening at the ground. "Continue." Celestia remarked. "Suddenly, we had no idea where we were. I flew into a tree, and my sister fell off a cliff into a mud puddle. Then- a changeling queen, old, she looked tired, she changed us into this. The hive took us to their nest. But there was a catch. There could only be one ruler of the changelings. We had to answer specific questions, and my sister got most of them right. Then she-she;" Aborah paused again. Celestia laid a hoof on her shoulder as Aborah let a few tears escape her eyes. "You don't have to keep going I understand-" Celestia started. "She banished me, never to return. I only remember wandering around the forest, blacking out, and waking up here." Celestia nodded. She lifted her cloak up onto herself as she got up slowly. She looked down at Aborah and offered a hoof up. She grasped it, wiping the tears away quickly, then clearing her throat. Celestia let go and started to walk her way out of the forest. Aborah sighed, looking down and sitting back on the grass. "Aren't you coming?" Celestia asked cheerfully. Abroah gave her a confused face. "I'm a changeling, won't everypony freak out?" Celestia just scoffed. "I got a spell for it remember? If ya want to try it out!?" Aborah's eyes widened. "Really?" "Sure, but you'll have to hurry fast, I have a friend that can give you a cloak." Aborah smiled and ran to Celestia. "So how does it work?" Celestia smirked. "That would take a long time to explain, but simply, all I have to do, is pick out how I want somepony or myself to look like, cast the spell, and boom! They're a new pony!" She explained. "Wow." Aborah said happily. "Now I've never done it on another pony before, so if it hurts a bit tell me to stop. Okay?" Celestia ordered. Aborah nodded in response. "Alright... here we go." Celestia mumbled. Her horn sparked a beautiful yellow, and it surrounded herself as she rose into the air. Her wavy pink mane grew larger, as she opened her full white eyes. Her pupils were no longer visible. A blue beam shot towards Aborah, who covered her face with her arm, shielding herself. The beam changed to a bright blue and it surrounded Aborah as it rose her into the air as well. Her arms and leg's holes were replaced with green skin, her eyes changed to normal eyes. Her horn and wings transformed into an actual pony horn and wings. However the wings were still a bright blue-green. Her mane grew shorter, and she floated down to the ground. Celestia gave off one last spark before falling down as well. She rubbed her forehead and looked up to her friend. It had succeeded. She had succeeded. The two slowly made their way upwards. "Ugh, did it work?" Aborah mumbled. Celestia smirked in delight. "Let's go," She said, but then walking in the opposite direction she had before, and went deeper into the dread of the forest. "Wait! Aren't we supposed to be going that way?" Aborah asked, pointing to the pathway. Celestia chuckled. "I'm sorry, have you not noticed the wings poking out of your back, we need to get you a cloak." Aborah looked down at the ground, blushing. She ran after her friend who continued to walk into the forest. * The two arrived at a cave, a very large one at that, actually. Aborah furrowed her brow, cautiously following Celestia into the darkness. "Tia, I can't see anything...." Aborah said quietly. "Just wait." Celestia replied, almost no emotion in her voice. Then suddenly, a loud roar echoed through the end of the cave to the mouth, and though Aborah jumped, Celestia just stood perfectly still. A large adult dark green dragon moved forward from the shadows. He had a pale white underbelly and gold top scales. Aborah screamed, running out of the cave. When she hid behind a bush not far from the cave, Celestia gave her a confused look, but then laughed. "Oh chill out, Abby. Dargon is a timid dragon. Okay?" The dragon nodded. "However, I'm quite tired and was about to start my short hibernation. So if you need something, make it quick." He grumbled. "Well, I need another cape." Celestia said blankly. "The one you're wearing seems fine currently." He replied, confused. "It's not for me, it's for," Celestia looked at Aborah and waved her hoof to come out from hiding. The green pony slowly made her way behind the princess. However, she grabbed Aborah with her magic and placed her beside her. "It's for her." Dargon sighed, rolling his eyes. "I don't need to know a story," He searched for a couple minutes before throwing a brown cloak at them. "Here. Now, Celestia, I'm very impatient when it comes to sleep, good day." Celestia nodded, and turned to walk away. Aborah ran up ahead to her. "So, why is he hibernating? It's not even winter." Aborah asked, and Celestia chuckled. "Well, you see, he's not just one of those dragons who find treasure and hoards it. He searches for things, finding greater treasure, and learning new things along the way, whether it be about his journey or ponies. Anyway, because he's always traveling, when he gets back, he is very tired, and he just returned from finding the Lost Land of Linserre." Celestia saw Aborah's confused face. "I watch his cave while he's away if that's what you're wondering. That's why we're such good friends. He was just grumpy today. I always get to stay at his cave whenever I want, as long as no pony sees me, and if some one steals from the cave while I'm gone, I'll know. I put a protection spell on it. Usually I leave the spell on, but when I'm actually there and watching it, I admire all his findings. And he has a lot of adventure books. So does the castle, but they're always watching me. It's nice to relax with no eyes on you." "When did you meet him?" Aborah questioned, her head tilted, as she wrapped the cloak around herself to cover her wings. "Oh, around maybe a year ago, I accidentally stumbled upon his cave. He was furious, but, he had just gotten back from a trip. And I couldn't help but notice a couple things in his cave. Because they weren't gems and gold. Well, there was, but a lot less than i had seen other dragons have before. But that was rare, because animals and fierce creatures are my sister's thing." Aborah nodded in return. "You haven't talked about your sister, what's she like?" Celestia groaned in annoyance at the question. "I love my sister dearly but," Celestia paused. "But?" "Well, most of the time I feel like she hate's me! And she acts like it to! But I don't know why." Celestia sighed. "But I'll figure it out. She'll figure it out. We're both equals. I'm just older." She joked and Aborah laughed. "What's her name?" Aborah said, she found it hard to talk about sisters without thinking about her own. "Luna. Princess Luna." They made their way past the villages, with strange stares at Aborah. "Do you think they know I'm a changeling?" She had asked, and Celestia shook her head looking at the villagers. "Nah. That's how they looked at me when I first arrived, well in disguise you know," She suddenly whispered bending her neck down to Aborah's ear before standing upright again. "It's just because they haven't seen you before." They finally reached Canterlot, and behind a building Celestia transformed back into her regal self. "Alright, now don't say anything. Just be quiet and let me do the talking, I'm sure mom will let you stay, but getting in the building will be different. Just stay behind me, Okay?" Aborah nodded her head in understanding. "Good." She looked past the building, and her horn lit up. "Let's go." With a bright yellow flash, they appeared in front of the gate to enter the Canterlot Castle. "Hello guards," Celestia greeted with a wave and smile. A guard immediately teleported in front of her. His horn lit up with a blue aura, and a light wave flew through her. He nodded. "You may enter princess, step aside so we can scan your," He paused, looking at Aborah skeptically. "Friend please." Celestia rolled her eyes. "Oh Inspection, she's fine! She doesn't need to be scanned! You've already scanned me, and you trust my word right?" She fluttered her eyes. "Please step aside your highness." He said calmly and Celestia scoffed, whipping her mane at the inspector guard. "Are you saying you don't trust my judgement?!" The inspector took a step back. "No your majesty, not at all! It's just that it's protocol and-" "I should have you fired!" Celestia screamed and the guards from above watched in curiosity. "F-forgive me your highness! Y-you may enter along with your companion!" He stuttered, and the gates swung open. Celestia walked in regally, while Aborah followed slowly with shyness. When the two walked into the castle, they were both greeted by a dark blue filly with flowing blue mane. She scrunched her muzzle against Celestia, struggling to stay at her height. "Hello Luna," Celestia said sarcastically. "How's your day going?" "You're in trouble, you were gone longer than you were supposed to be, I was about to tell mom, you're lucky you got back in time and-" Luna paused, noticing Aborah. "Who's she?" Celestia smirked. "This is why I was late. Her name is Aborah, and get used to her, because she's going to be here until we find a cure." "A cure for what?" Luna asked, she was intrigued. "You'll see," Celestia started to walk down the long hallway, signaling Aborah to follow her. "You'll see very soon." Luna scrunched her face even more in frustration before walking away. At the end of the hallway there was a large door with a sun on it. Celestia knocked two times. "Mom? You there?" She asked, she shook slightly, unknowing suddenly on what would happen. "Come in Celestia." An elegant voice stated. The door opened slightly, the doorknob illuminating a pink aura. Celestia slowly walked inside, and the door closed behind her, leaving Aborah to sit and wait. After a half-hour, a furious light, light, blue alicorn teleported in front of Aborah. Her wings were a darker shade of the color of Luna's coat. Her mane was yellow and pink that each faded into eachother. It was surround by a light transparent purple. Her jewelry was all dark blue other than with a shaded purple gem on her necklace. Her bright pink eyes bore right into Aborah's green ones. "So, you are the disguised changeling?" Aborah nodded quickly, in fear. "Huh. Well, I suppose you should stay here until we find a cure for you." She laughed and walked away slowly. "Raven!" She called out, a white earth pony with red and brown mane ran forward. "Yes, Princess DayDream?" She asked, trotting to the alicorn's side. "Have Inspection find a partner in his business, I can't have my daughter forcing him to open the gate and he actually does it. Along with the guards at front, they can't just stand by and let that happen. You got that written down?" She kneeled down to Raven. The earth pony nodded in return. "Good." Celestia trotted out the room, and wiped her brow. "Whew, that was easier than expected. You're allowed to stay here for as long as it takes to make a cure." Aborah was shocked as Celestia walked past her. "Just like that?! I mean, she's a ruler of an entire nation and she's just trusting a changeling?!" Celestia chuckled softly. "I told her your story, the other changelings?" She paused, before turning around to face Aborah. "You're not like them." "Oh, there's a them now?" Aborah asked, and Celestia rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean. The important thing is that you can stay here until we find you a cure! You can be like another sister to me!" Celestia skipped away with joy and Aborah ran after her, doubtful, but happy. But in the shadows Luna overheard what her sister had said. "A replacement huh? Well, she can't cake my place for her life. She's just a pathetic changeling, and if she tries to do anything, I won't hesitate to reveal Aborah to the public." Author's Note Luna has a different mane style. Eh, just imagine it. Omg, Zootopia references now.
The LetterTwilight pranced around her castle humming a small tune.
"Also, you can keep the timber wolf."
Love Dove Part 1Author's Note By the way the classroom seats are like college seats ones that go up, you know the fancy ones.
Second TaleAuthor's Note I know this Chapter is short. "Many, many, many years ago..."
Two Best SistersAuthor's Note Warning: This chapter (only the first paragraph) has birth, so if you are uncomfortable with the first one, don't read.
"It's perfect."
Princess Mi` Amore Cadenza Part 1"So, Abby..." Celestia started.
